Import/export contacs using Ovi
I want to exchage all the contact inoformation and messages between a N73 and a 5800 XpressMusic.
I use Ovi, and I can not find out how to save all the information, and to export them to the cell phones!
what should I do???
Sync your contacts and messages with Ovi using the N73 when complete, sync 5800, the contacts will sync automatically, but you will have to drag the messages from Ovi Suite to the phone (just click and hold the messages you want to transfer and drag to the 'phone icon on the Ovi suite screen)
Good Luck
If I have helped at all, a click on the White Star is always appreciated :
you can also help others by marking 'accept as solution'

Import/Export code using Memory ID in BO Method
Hi experts,
I am having a approver name and other relevant data in my report. I don't want to write the entire code I want to bring it into my BO method by using import/export memory id. Pl. guide me what should I do ? Is it possible or not?
Thank you,
SaquibI am a bit confused that what you are trying to achieve. In any case I think you can forget any export/import memory ID related solutions - they will not work!
The workflow (or its step/task) is executing your BO method, right? You want this method to have some data when it gets executed? Normally you would want to populate the data to the workflow (or task) container, for example with function SAP_WAPI_WRITE_CONTAINER (you just need the work item ID). Then when this data is in the container, you can use it in your method (binding required).
Somehow I feel that you looking a difficult solution for a simple problem. If you need some relevant data in your workflow, let the workflow to find it (add a new step to the workflow, and copy/paste the relevant part of the code of your report to this step). (Or try to give the data to the workflow already when it gets started, if possible). Don't try to mix things with some separate report, unless it is completely necessary, and if it is, then writing into the container is most likely the best approach.

Import/export journals using an output file
I am looking into loading journals using an output file in SAP BPC intead of entering every journal using the template.
Hello everybody,
I have found that 3 DTS packages exist for this issue:
Export the Journal Tables
Clear the Journal Tables.
Restore the Journal Tables.
I have added these packages (using the three .dtsx files that are in the server, in the "Examples" folder) and, after that, run the packages in the proper order. I have some doubts that I would appreciate if you could solve them:
1.- When I run "Export the Journal Tables" package, I can NOT make a selection of journals (for example, using Time dimension). There is no possibility. Is it possible modify this DTS package to export only some selected journals? In case it is, how?
2.- In order to restore journals table, firstly you need to clear all the table using "Clear the Journal Tables" package (I tried to do it without clearing all the journals, and I got an error message that said that I have to clear the journal table before importing ). Would it be possible to restore/import only some journals WITHOUT clearing ALL the previous journals??
3.- I have exported the Journal Table to an output file, clear all the journals in the Journal Table (using the proper package) and run the "Restore the Journal Tables" package using the output file I have gotten before. I have gotten this error: "Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A005B". Do you know what's the problem?
4.- Dou you know another way of loading journals using an output file in SAP BPC intead of entering every journal using the template?
Thank you very much. There may be options to your process, but as I have mentioned in other strings, the Journals in the BPC for Microsoft version are sequenced. That means that there is a system generated sequence ID for each journal. Any individual selection of journals would possibly cause an issue for the sequence. I have not seen any past work in SSIS to detach the records for export or import. It may be possible, but I would assume it will take some core SQL coding.
Regarding your error, you may need to verify that you have the security set correctly to use Journals and use the Data Manager capabilities. Typically, when security tasks are not correct, you will get an error similar to your HRRESULTX.... error.
An option for loading the details is to build a worksheet in EVDRE, aggregate the data and send it to the cube at a level that is easy to save the file and submit consolidated results. Just make sure you send all "like" records at an aggregated to a base member, and send to a datasrc to identify the extra details. Then store the excel file with the input values.
Hope this helps.

ABAP command IMPORT/EXPORT
Hi!
I would like to know whats the replacement for the IMPORT and export commands used in 4.7c in ECC6. Can anyone tell me whats the replacement commands for import and export command that is used in abap/4 4.7c for ECC6.
ThanksHi Aarav,
there is nothing like replacement for import/export.there is another statements to transferdata which are Set/Get.
when you are working with sap you have sessions.so in between session if you want to transfer data then you will use set/get parameters.import/export are used within the session.means you opened se38 and written a program and then go back to se38 initial screen and entered another program name and in that program you want the data which is in the previous program you have written in the se38 in same session.

SAP HANA: IMPORT/EXPORT Views
We can Import/export tables using hdbsql CLI.
But Is there any way by which we can export/import Views(attribute, analytic, calculation) using hdbsql CLI.
I raised above question some days back
SAP HANA: IMPORT/EXPORT Views | SCN
Also while checking on internet I found another link for the same issue:
http://scn.sap.com/thread/2141404
And from experts answers, I came to conclusion that Import/Export Views(Attribute/Analytic/Calculation views)in SAP HANA is not possible through hdbsql CLI/ SQL commands. Now Is there a way where I can confirm this from SAP HANA program management guys?Lars,
Thanks for the explanation.
What I am trying to achieve is to create an automate script which should export all tables and views for a schema and again import tables and views in a different schema.
table part is done, But stuck in view part.
I tried the below command and was able to export the calculation view which I created in Content and exists as
_SYS_BIC-->Package(same name as schema where all the tables are stored) --> View Name.
Command used was:
EXPORT "<Schema_Name>"."<Package_Name>/<View_Name>" INTO '<path>'
Now I have 2 ques :
1) I am not sure how to import this exported view. I tried below command but it failed:
IMPORT "<Schema_Name>"."<Package_Name>/<View_Name>" FROM '<path>'
2) Not sure how to export and import all the views.
I did IMPORT SCAN of the path as well and found below entries for the exported view in the mentioned path:
SCHEMA_NAME, OBJECT_NAME, OBJECT_TYPE, EXISTS
"_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/CalculationViewName>", "VIEW", 1
"_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/AnalyticViewName>", "VIEW", 1
"_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/CalculationViewName>/olap", "VIEW", 1
"_SYS_BIC", "vwTile1ALLData", "VIEW", 1
Any Inputs would definitely help. Thanks. -
Import/Export Data Forms in SmartView 11.1.2
Hi,
Can we Import and Export Planning Data Forms using Smartview in 11.1.2? I know there is Offline Data Form, but is there an option of Exporting and Importing planning Data Forms using Smart View in 11.1.2?
Regards,
SGNo, I don't believe you can import/export forms using SmartView.
However LCM is available and is pretty painless:

Using XML Import/Export in Transport Connection
Hi, I was investigating the feasibility of copying a query definition from one BW system to another using the XML Import/Export functionality in Transport Connection. This is not to replace our current transport process across the landscape (Dev -> QA -> Prod), but merely just looking at possibilities for end users who develop queries in QA & then recreate them in Prod.
My question is: has anyone worked with the XML Export/Import for types Queries & Query Elements? I was trying this out between a Dev and Sandbox system and only had limited success. I was able to take a small query and perform the Export to a local .xml file without much difficulty. But when I try to do the Import, my query never shows up. The Import function shows a green light, but I get a couple of error messages on the Import such as the following:
==========================================================
SAP object 3WROG4HZ3NKP1PIYHCR1H24CQ () cannot be imported
Diagnosis
You attempted to import SAP object 3WROG4HZ3NKP1PIYHCR1H24CQ of type into the system via the XMI interface. However, you are not allowed to import SAP objects.
System response
The object was ignored during the import.
Note: It can be that the import is incomplete when the required SAP objects are still not active in the system.
Procedure
Install the specified objects from Business Content. Only import the metadata afterwards.
=========================================================
The portion returned for Saving and Activating returns green lights. The two sample objects mentioned appear to just be custom InfoObjects used in my query & don't look to be any different than others that work OK.
Just curious if anyone else has worked with this and could help advise.
Thanks... JodyThis is an old subject, but I think XML import only works for datamodeling objects like InfoObjects, InfoCubes, and ODS objects. If you try to export a query, and open the XML file in a text editor, there is not enough information (in my opinion) to build the query. As an example you don't see how key figures are to be displayed, filter or free characteristics.
However, when an InfoObject is collected, you get all the attributes, texts in all languages.
If anyone has more insight, please enlighten us.

Some Questions on Import/Export using SQL*Plus
Could somebody help me by answering the following queries? I couldn't find the answers in this forum or the User Guide.
1. Can we create an application or page export without using the web front-end? E.g. Call some pl/sql, get a file on db server...
2. Can we change the application id within an application/page export? It looks like it is only referenced a few times in the script (set package variable, wwv_flow_api.remove_flow, wwv_flow_audit.remove_audit_trail, wwv_flow_api.create_flow, thereafter uses package variable)
3. Can we change the workspace within an application/page export? It looks the workspace is set with wwv_flow_api.set_security_group_id(p_security_group_id=>719307052588490). Is a 'security group' a synonym for 'workspace'?
4. Supposing I wanted to transfer only the shared components of an application from one DB to another. Could I achieve this by first exporting every page of the target app individually, then import source app over target app, then re-import each individually exported page over target app?
Thanks!1. Yes. Search this forum for command line export. The command line export utility is on the Studio at http://apex.oracle.com/studio
2. I wouldn't do that. The application id is probably used (indirectly) to generate foreign
keys (template ids, offsets and such).
3. Same answer as (2).
4. There is no way to export/import only the shared components. -
Import/export of files for Quickoffice using an USB cable
Installed Quickoffice App, but cannot import/export files. Windows Explorer recognizes only photos and iTunes does not show office files on iPod and does not tolerate pdf, doc or ppt files from PC.
Thank you, lllaass,
this is the way to upload/download files from iPod using USB cable, but it does not work in my case. Following advices of the Apple customer service I have reinstalled iTunes, updated the iPod software and even deleted/reinstalled the Quickoffice app again, but it did not help. In the iPod/Apps menu I see the app thumbnail, but no File Sharing section appears, so I am unable to copy/extract files through the cable. I can do it via WLan, but it is completely impractical, as I do not have any wireless connection at work. It is amazing how poorly compatioble can be non-Apple apps. -
Improving Oracle9i DB performance using IMPORT/EXPORT
Hi,
I'm experiencing wrong performance on Oracle9.2.0.6 DB for production system.
I have one schema and two tablespaces: the first one for data (18 datafiles sized each 1GB), and the second one for indexes (15 datafiles sized each 1GB).
I tryed to tune the db using statpack and noticed "Waits due to Row being locked by an active Transaction".i couldn't do very much for solving this issue.
So, I'm wandering if using import/export utility against database would be a solution to obtain better performance. I can follow two methods for I/E:
FIRST METHOD:
1. Take a good export (with COMPRESS=n).
2. drop the tablesapces.
3. recreate the same tablespaces (data and index).
4. make data as default and revoke RESOURCE role from user.
5. grant quota unlimited on DATA TABLESPACE and INDEX tablespace to the user.
6. Just import (single import would do). imp user/pass fromuser=x touser=y indexes=y constraints=y.
Now since both data/index tablespaces already exist, the indexes will be created in their intended tablespaces.
SECOND METHOD
Instead of Imp or exp I can use move tablespace cmd to avoid fragmenation.
1.create new tbs.
2.move all objects to new tbs.
- rebuild all indexes to new tbs.
3.drop old tbs.
4.rename new tbs name to old tbs names.
Please, could you suggest If I'm following the right way to achieve better performance?
Thanks in advance.
Claudia"Waits due to Row being locked by an active Transaction" is an indicator that you have a blocking problem, not fragmentation. Do you have long transactions? In Oracle, only writers block writers so it appears you have multiple sessions trying to modify the same row(s).
And, on the import/export - What type of disk is attached to the system? If it is a SAN it is likely that you already have a decent degree of data distribution between data and indexes. -
Import/Export publishable packages using WLPI APIs
Hi,
I have been trying to create a utility to perform import/export of publishable
packages. Here is the problem that I encountered:
When creating the PackageEntry, I need to have a map of all references that a
publishable object has, however, the method to retrieve the referenced publishables
is no longer in the Publishable interface
public java.util.List getReferencedPublishables( java.util.Map publishables)
If I pass a null for the referenced publishables, then the export will work, but
when I tried to import the package, I got the following error. Any workaround
to the problem or is there something that I missed?
Here is the error:

I am perfectly aware of how to do this using the old version of itunes.
however i just got a new macbook pro retina... and it came with the latest version of itunes.
and i was trying to import/export garage band files between my ipad and mac via itunes.
and the option for apps, that is usually on the left side where you can then select garage band from in itunes, isnt there in the new version of itunes.
has anyone got a work around for this?
thanks.
nicNic, for me the iTunes window looks like this, when I connect my iPad 3:
I select the iPad in the "devices" section of the Sidebar (use: "View > Show Sidebar" if the sidebar is hidden).
Click the "Apps" tab in the "Devices" pane.
Scroll all the way down in the Devices pane to "File Sharing" "Apps" section.
Then do I click "GarageBand" to select the documents in the right panel.
Which part is different for you? Perhaps you could post a screenshot?

Import/Export uses odiparam.bat for work/master Repository
When I do a import/export, the command appears to use the odiparam.bat file to pickup the work/master repository connections. This makes sense for the export, but the import has an optional parameter for the work repository. From what I can tell, this parameter is ignored (or am I doing something wrong). Regardless, of whether or not it is used, how would ODI know the connection (user/password) information if it was used. This would seem to indicate that the user WAS picked up from the odiparam.bat file.
Am I thinking about this correctly or have I missed something?
THow are you trying to do the import/export?
If you are importing the obejcts in designer - it will use the credentials you specified when you connected.
