Import itab in memory in user exit

I am trying to export an internal table to memory in BADI and import from memory into an internal table in User exit . It looks like the export works, but when I import in program2, the internal table is empty. Even when the command returns sy-subrc = 0.
Has anyone made this work?
Program1
DATA: wa_medoc LIKE MEASUREMENT_DOC.
DATA: WA_TEXT LIKE LINE OF CE_MEASUREMENT.
TYPES: BEGIN OF obj_line,
            MEASUREMENT_POINT(12) ,
            READING_DATE(8),
            READING_TIME(6),
            RECORDED_UNIT(6),
            LONG_TEXT(16384),
            END OF obj_line.
DATA: obj_tab_wa TYPE obj_line.
Move: MEASUREMENT_DOC to wa_medoc.
LOOP AT CE_MEASUREMENT INTO WA_TEXT.

       WA_TEXT-LONG_TEXT TO obj_tab_wa-LONG_TEXT.
EXPORT obj_line FROM  obj_tab_wa  TO MEMORY ID 'SQ'.
ENDLOOP.
Program 2 : User exit   EXIT_SAPLIMR0_001  and include ZXMRCU01.

  • Export internal table to memory in User Exit FM

    Hi all,
My scenario here is to export an internal table in one user exit FM and import it back in another user exit FM.
    I was trying to use
Export lt_table to memory id 'LABEL'.
    then
Import lt_table from memory id 'LABEL'.
But then i hit error in the import statement. How can I rectify this?
    Thanks. Answer will be rewarded.

  • Export/Import Parameters dissapear when using user-exit

I am using some import/export parameters in a dynamic action when I create a new record (infotype). I am also using a user exit to avoid modifying BEGDA and ENDDA when I modify the record (IPSYST = 'MOD'). Using this user-exit, the parameters dissapear from memory so the dynamic action does not execute well. What can I do to use the user-exit?? Anything to add?

In the dinamic actions when I create, I delimit records on infotype with export/import parameters defined in infotype Module Pool. When I delete, I avoid deleting the record if it is not the last one. With the user-exit the modification of begda endda in infotype is not allowed. If I use the user-exit, the dinamic actions which use export/import parameters, don't work.
I have tried to do in MP what I do in user-exit but it is not easy because I haven´t got in PSAVE what I want.

  • Free Memory in User Exit

    Hi,
We are having an issue that while doing invoicing using TCode MIRO, the invoice number gets generated and can be seen in Purchase Order History but the invoice document is not found in the system.
According to SAP Note 743744, this could be because of the command Free Memory used in SD user exits (user exits called in program SAPMV45A, can be seen using TCode SE80). In our case we have used the free memory command in a customised function module called in  USEREXIT_DELETE_DOCUMENT (Include MV45AFZZ).
    1) Is it neccesary to use free memory to clear the ABAP memory. Can we use some other command like CLEAR instead of free memory?
    2) Suppose if we do  not use FREE MEMORY, and then assign some value to the memory (it already had some value originally), what will happen?
Any other suggestions would also be welcome.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mick

Clear it will clear the variable value and header line of internal table. But not the memory value.
For that we need to use the Free Memory ID 'XXX'.
While Processing the transaction again the previous value may come. Thats the reason why we are free the memory.

  • IMPORT itab FROM MEMORY ID - doubt

    Hello all,
In my program I am using the statement like given below.
    IMPORT  ITAB_TDR       FROM MEMORY ID 'PPI'.  I am getting Sy-subrc = 4.
The reason might be either Unable to import data objects or The ABAP memory was probably empty or The contents of all listed objects remain unchanged.
Now my question is->  How to store the data in the ABAP memory so that I can get the datas in ITAB_TDR in my import stmt.
    Thanks in advance,
    Balaji

JUST CHECK RPR_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN REPORT IN SE38 AND GIVE THE STRING THERE IT WILL SHOW THE REPORT NAME. OR JUST PUT ABAPSOURCESCAN IN SE38 AND PRESS F4. IF IT IS A Z PROGRAM THEN GIVE PROG NAME AS Z*.
IF YOU GET THE PROG NAME THEN YOU HAVE TO RUN THAT PROG TO EXPORT THE VALUE IN MEMORY ID.
AFTER THAT ONLY YOU CAN USE IMPORT.

  • Export statement in user-exit??

I have used the following export statement in a user-exit:"EXPORT xaccit TO MEMORY ID 'ZCACHEPPA'."-I have doubt that - will this statement export the contents of the table XACCIT to memory and those contents in the memory will be imported by the IMPORT statement in other user-exit.....??
If no,then which EXPORT/IMPORT statement should be used....is there any other keyword that can be used to export the contents to the memory?

    Hi
See the doc related to SAP Memory and ABAP memory
SAP memory is a memory area to which all main sessions within a SAPgui have access. You can use SAP memory either to pass data from one program to another within a session, or to pass data from one session to another. Application programs that use SAP memory must do so using SPA/GPA parameters (also known as SET/GET parameters). These parameters can be set either for a particular user or for a particular program using the SET PARAMETER statement. Other ABAP programs can then retrieve the set parameters using the GET PARAMETER statement. The most frequent use of SPA/GPA parameters is to fill input fields on screens
SAP global memory retains field value through out session.
set parameter id 'MAT' field v_matnr.
get parameter id 'MAT' field v_matnr.
They are stored in table TPARA.
ABAP memory is a memory area that all ABAP programs within the same internal session can access using the EXPORT and IMPORT statements. Data within this area remains intact during a whole sequence of program calls. To pass data
to a program which you are calling, the data needs to be placed in ABAP memory before the call is made. The internal session of the called program then replaces that of the calling program. The program called can then read from the ABAP memory. If control is then returned to the program which made the initial call, the same process operates in reverse.
ABAP memory is temporary and values are retained in same LUW.
export itab to memory id 'TEST'.
import itab from memory Id 'TEST'.
Here itab should be declared of same type and length.

Notes::: A logical memory model illustrates how the main memory is distributed from the view of executable programs. A distinction is made here between external sessions and internal sessions .
An external session is usually linked to an R/3 window. You can create an external session by choosing System/Create session, or by entering /o in the command field. An external session is broken down further into internal sessions. Program data is only visible within an internal session. Each external session can include up to 20 internal sessions (stacks).
Every program you start runs in an internal session.
To copy a set of ABAP variables and their current values (data cluster) to the ABAP memory, use the EXPORT TO MEMORY ID statement. The (up to 32 characters) is used to identify the different data clusters.
If you repeat an EXPORT TO MEMORY ID statement to an existing data cluster, the new data overwrites the old.
To copy data from ABAP memory to the corresponding fields of an ABAP program, use the IMPORT FROM MEMORY ID statement.

  • How to put bin information to table T_QMAT thru user exit for stock remove?

    Hi,
I have already use stock removal strategy 'F' and checked the flag 'User exit active', but the value in table T_QMAT filled by the standard system not include all vendors. So I need to use stock removal strategy " " and set up the table T_QMAT by the user exit.
Do you know what is the user exit and the ABAP coding to put bin information to table T_QMAT for stock removal?
    Best Regards,
    Chris.

    Hi Chris,
You can use the exit: EXIT_SAPLL03A_005 to populate t_qmat table based on your requirements. As you have already mentioned, it is important to check the flag: User exit active in SPRO, but bear in mind the stock removal strategy has to be BLANK. If you use F, then standard SAP auto-populates the T_QMAT table.

    Narendra.

  • Using a variable not in the Export,Import, table Parameters in USER EXIT

    Hi all,
During the Invoice Creation, I need to add an entry in the VBFS table, so that it will be displayed in the system log.  In the FM 'RV_INVOICE_CREATE', the structure corresponding to it is XVBFS.  There is a user-exit   CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '002', in this FM 'RV_INVOICE_CREATE'.  But the import, export or Table Parameters does not have XVBFS.
How can I use XVBFS inside the User exit?..
    Please help.

  • Using Field-Symbols in a user exit to change the importing parameter

Please don't ask why but I need to use a user exit, changing the importing parameter.  I decided that I could do this using field-symbols.
Please excuse my ignorance but I have never used field symbols for something such as this.
Here is my goal:  Loop through an internal table (im_document-item).  When I find what I need I want to make a change to this line (not so hard if I am looping into a field symbol) and also append a line to the end of the table im_document-item.
I have the following so far:
      DATA: wa_item TYPE accit,
            wa_item_out type ACCIT_SUB.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <document> type acc_document,
                   <accit> TYPE ACCIT.
    LOOP AT im_document-item ASSIGNING <accit> where saknr = '0000211000'.
    * Modify the curent line
    wa_item = <accit>
    * Append a new line into table im_document-item.
    ENDLOOP.
How can I use field-symbols to append a line to this table?  Please note that the table in question (im_document-item) is an importing only parameter.
    Regards,
    Davis

that will allow me to append an initial line with <accit> pointing to the line. Therefore I just have to modify <accit> and the new line will then have my changes?
Yep, that is exactly it.    So after the APPEND statement, simply fill the fields of the <accit>.
append initial line to im_document-item ASSIGNING <accit>.
    <accit>-field1 = 'Blah'.
    <accit>-field2 = 'Blah'.

  • User exit to run before importing abap transport in TMS

    Hi,
I need to run a check before importing an ABAP transport.
I've seen a BADI that can be used after transport, also handy, but I really need to check dependencies before importing as well.
Is there a user exit or badi that can do this?
    Thanks
    Tom

    Hello,
This is possible in a crude away. SAP fires two events in the Transport Import process, SAP_IMPORT_START and SAP_IMPORT_STOP
You can define your actions according to your needs with jobs scheduled to be triggered on these events.
So basically you write your program to run the checks you need before import starts and take actions necessary.
However there are some limitations around this:
    Check this link:

  • User exit for Service order release ( needed operation details as import )

    Hi All,
I need a user-exit while service order release( tcode : IW31 ) activity . I find some of the exits, but none of those not having "Operation" details , all are having only header details. Please suggest if any user-exit is available for this or BADI . I tried with badi "ALM_ME_001_ORDER" , its not triggering at all while creation of service order.
Is there any way we can get from operation data from buffer, please suggest me the same.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Thomas,
Thanks for reply. I saw the function exit which you mentioned , but it didn't have the operation details in import.

  • User Exit and BDC for ME22N

    Hello All,
A code has been written in the User exit for Tcode ME22N, Which sets the indicator on PO line item. This has been done by modifying the standard itab POT by using field symbols, because the fields to be modified are shown in display mode in the tcode ME22N and cannot be done in BDC. See the below code in user exit ZXM06U43.
    DATA char(50) VALUE '(SAPLMEPO)POT[]'.
    CLEAR wa_ind.
        FIELD-SYMBOLS <f1> TYPE ANY.
Move memory of internal table POT to field symbol f1.
        ASSIGN (char) TO <f1>.
Move content of f1 to internal table i_ind
        i_ind[] = <f1> .
        LOOP AT i_ind INTO wa_ind.
          IF wa_ind-pstyp = '9'.            " Service PO - item category
IF PO Line item has History per Purchasing Document as 'D'
Set indicators on, for the line item.
            CLEAR v_cnt.
            SELECT COUNT( * ) INTO v_cnt FROM ent5100
                                         WHERE ebeln = wa_ind-ebeln
                                           AND ebelp = wa_ind-ebelp
                                           AND bewtp = 'D'.
            IF sy-subrc = 0.
              wa_ind-wepos = 'X'.            " Set Goods Receipt Indicator
              wa_ind-webre = 'X'.            " Set GR-based IV Indicator
              wa_ind-lebre = 'X'.            " Set Srv-based IV Indicator
            ELSE.
    *End of addition SAP-20070910104025 - SL36 - D01K963369
              wa_ind-wepos = ' '.            " Clear Goods Receipt Indicator
              wa_ind-webre = ' '.            " Clear GR-based IV Indicator
              wa_ind-lebre = ' '.            " Clear Srv-based IV Indicator
              wa_ind-xersy = ' '.            " Clear ERS Indicator
            ENDIF.
            MODIFY i_ind FROM wa_ind INDEX sy-tabix.
          ENDIF.
        ENDLOOP.
        <f1> = i_ind[].
      ENDIF.
    ENDIF.
This code is in production and has been working fine.
The requirnment is now to make this indicator work for all the Purchase order before this code has been written in the Exit. For this my functional suggests that to write a separate program using BDC for PO change and jus add a period/dot  in the short text and save it. The code has been written, the user exit and the above code is getting triggrred values are updated in internal table correctly.
However the flags was not set or cleared when seen in the tcode ME22N . This works fine if the tcode me22n is run directly and not working in BDC.
I have tried with ME22 without enjoy transaction in BDC changing the POT Program to SAPMM06E. It does not work.
Please help me as why it is not uodating in the table when using BDC.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • To find out user exit/ badi for the VT01n transaction triggered in Save

    Hi Friends,
I have the following requirement and for this appropriate user exit/ badi should be needed which will trigger during saving of the shipment.
Cass shipment type (VTTK-ADD03) field needs to be required and should be automatically populated upon creation of the shipment document.  The rules for populating the value (SO, ST, PO and RA) are as follows:
If any of the orders on the shipment are customer order types, then the CASS shipment type should be a SO,
If all of the orders are STO orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "ST",
If all of the orders are PO orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "PO" , and
If all of the orders are customer return orders, then the Cass shipment type should be "RA".
I have tried with the 3 badi available and 7 to 8 user exit, but it won't work.
Thanking a lot in advance for giving the solution.
