Using a variable not in the Export,Import, table Parameters in USER EXIT
Hi all,
During the Invoice Creation, I need to add an entry in the VBFS table, so that it will be displayed in the system log. In the FM 'RV_INVOICE_CREATE', the structure corresponding to it is XVBFS. There is a user-exit CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '002', in this FM 'RV_INVOICE_CREATE'. But the import, export or Table Parameters does not have XVBFS.
How can I use XVBFS inside the User exit?..
Please help.
Regards,
Asha
Hi,
I dont know whether this will help u...
write this in user exit...to access variables/tables of main program..
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <komv>.
ASSIGN ('(SAPLMEPO)TKOMV[]') TO <komv>.
where.. SAPLMEPO is the main program...and TKOMV[] is a internal table in SAPLMEPO.

Using shared variable not in the project.
hi all
I have a project with the 2 RT targets and the development PC which were i currently deploy all my shared variables, But I need to finally deploy these shared variable in a different stand alone windows based machine. To do this I created separate application which does nothing but deploys the shared variables in this PC. but when i tried to bind to this variables (frount panel binding) from my RT targets it woudnt work, the led does not glow, it is always transperent. but when I tried to connect to these variables from my development PC it works fine. I double checked the firewall problem, that is not the case here. Can anyone tell me what am i doing wrong?
Thanx
ArunHi Prashanth
Thanks for the reply. I did realize that the front panle connection would not be supported in RT, now i have the shared variables on my RT machine which has te source as the windows machine. If the windows machine is my development machine the shared variables connect fine, but if its a different PC the shared variables connect for few seconds and with the error info "shared variable value 0" then the connection gets disconnected.
Also i read a note in the shared variables help, it said to subscribe and publish on a network shared variable all the shared variable which connects to this variable should be active. does this mean that if there are 2 RT targets that subscribe data and one of them is not switched on the shared variable does not work.?
Thanks again for your support.

How to wrap the export/import utility using perl
Hello,
How to user perl to wrap the export/import utility? Thanks. If you are using DBMS_SCHEDULER, I would expect that you would just invoke export directly. I'm not sure I see the benefit to putting a Perl wrapper on top in that case. Of course, DBMS_SCHEDULER could invoke a Perl script just as it can invoke a shell script if there was some particular need to have a Perl layer there.
Of course, I assume that you're not trying to invoke export on a regular basis as your primary backup method... Exports should be a complement, not a supplement, to a proper physical backup (i.e. via RMAN).

Problem with the Export/Import Utility when importing a .portal file
Hi there !
I got the following error when trying to import a .portal file to a desktop by using the Export/Import Utility.
<13-11-2009 12:13:26 PM CLST> <Error> <netuix> <BEA-423487> <Import: did not add navigable [2203] as it would cause an illegal dependency.>
The error is shown several times, starting from the number [2203] until [2285].
It causes that i can't see some pages of my portal... it's like they dont exist.
I Hope you can help me fix it, because i have not found any information about it.
Best regards
P.D.: I am using the BEA Weblogic 10.0.1 version.
Edited by: user12231353 on 16-nov-2009 12:38I upgraded to cs6 and imported all the images together, I made them 3 frames per and exported them. The problem is slightly improved but still there. I'm still getting flicker.
Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_yZjskzTLs
Black screen version from yesterday if you want to look at it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCcAEO8YU6Y
The problem has to be with my settings. when I upgraded it deleted all my prefrences and settings. There was no dslr preset either so I had to redo it all from scratch to the best of my ability. Here is a complete rundown of my settings:
I shoot with a canon dslr 60D in 24fps and upload all my stuff in 1080p. Please advice. -
What roles are required to run the export import?
Hi,
I want some info on roles are required to run the export import.
I have done the following in sys user:
GRANT EXP_FULL_DATABASE TO IMP_TEST
GRANT IMP_FULL_DATABASE TO IMP_TEST
But Doing the above command the IMP_TEST will get all priviles (also the system tables)
Is there any mechanism to restrict the user to export and import only the tables not anything?
Thanks and RegadrsHi!
If you create a user like this
CREATE USER imp_test identified by password;then the user will be able to import or export only its own schema. If you grant the exp_full_database and imp_full_database roles to this user like you did then the use will be able to export or import the hole database (with SYS schema). But as far as I know you can't set any more restrictions to the user.
yours sincerely

How to turn on and off the Export Import capability in Quality &Production
Hi All,
Can any one tell me how to turn on and turn off the export, import capabilities in the Quality n Production Systems . All I know about this is, it is an SAP XI Basis task, and I am not able to get any documents related to it .
Thanks in Advance,
Hemanthika.Hi,
Do you mean you want to disable Tools --> Export / Import feature?
Normally if you are using File Transports then lock the OS level access for all user id's and this would make sure that no transport of objects take place.

Could not complete the export command because of an application error
Every once in awhile I get the error, "Could not complete the export command because of an application error" when using the Save for Web option. It's really confusing because the error is not consistent. I don't get it all the time. In fact, 99% of the time I can save with no problems. When I quit Photoshop and reopen my files they seem to save just fine. Does anyone know why this happens, and how to prevent it from happening in the future?
Here are my specs:
Macintosh: iMac
OS: 10.6.8
Photoshop: CS3 (v10.0.1)
Any help is greatly appreciated! No idea about the specific issue, but I like to pass on some general advice I have received myself here over time:
Boilerplate-text:
Are Photoshop and OS fully updated?
As with all unexplainable Photoshop-problems you might try trashing the prefs (after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed) by pressing command-alt-shift on starting the program or starting from a new user-account.
System Maintenance (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, running cron-scripts, cleaning caches, etc.) might also be beneficial, Onyx has been recommended for such tasks.
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/onyx.html
Weeding out bad fonts never seems to be a bad idea, either. (Validate your fonts in Font Book and remove the bad ones.)
If 3rd party plug-ins are installed try disabling them to verify if one of those may be responsible for the problem. -
How do I delete an icloud account which uses an email account no longer in use - I do not have the the passwrd for this account
You will need the password. If you can't get it reset via http://iforgot.apple.com (if you remember the answers to the account's security questions then you should be able to reset it via them) then try contacting Support in your country, they should be able to reset it.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT569
If your country isn't on that page then try this form and explain and see what they reply with : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html -
Could not complete the export command because the file could not be found
When I try to save for web, Photoshop pops up a dialog box that says "could not complete the export command because the file could not be found".
What is the solution for this? Please provide more information (Photoshop version, OS, target volume, …).
Does the file’s or one of the folders’ name contain problematic letters (slash etc.)?

Most probably you are appending some records in the data package or deleting from the data package through end routine or expert routine or start routine.
I just solved it.....you will have to import the note 1180163.
Then modify the code which you are using....and include the function module as mentioned in the note 1223532.
You need to add the function module just before you append the records. This will work perfectly.

Table Values in Export/Import/Tables RFC calls
Hi
I know that using Adaptive RFC, the best practice is to use the Tables section of the function rather than the import/export.
However, in ECC6.0, when creating entries in the Tables section of the FM it tells me that this section is obsolete.
Should I start to use the export/import parameters instead?
Cheers
IanHi Ashu
Thanks for the reply but there is no code snippet. It is a 'best practice' question.
The document <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/11c3b051-0401-0010-fe9a-9eabd9c216de">Effective Web Dynpro - Adaptive RFC</a> details that table values should not be passed in the exporting/importing parameters of the R/3 RFC enabled function module. THey should always be added to the Tables section.
However, in ECC6.0, when adding entries into the Tables section of an R/3 function module, it says that this practice is obsolete.
Therefore, what is the current best practice for Adaptive RFC??
Cheers

How to export / import tables from UAT Environment to Devlopment in oracle
i wanted to share some points about export/import tables in oracle.
we have two environments one is development and integrated user acceptance test (UAT).
we have finalized table structures with data in UAT. i wanted to move from UAT to Development.
i found some commends in google. I tried but I am not able to export and then its throwing some errors.
i am explaining below what i want to do and what i want did.
Please provide solution what i need to do.
admin credentials in UAT
username :venkat_admin
password :venkat_admin
UAT user/schema
username : ods_inb_stg
password : ods_inb_stg
development environment credentials
admin user name : dev_admin
password : dev_admin
Development user/schema
username :ods_inb_dev
password :ods_inb_dev
Above mentioned schema names i want move data from UAT (ods_inb_stg) to development (ods_inb_dev)
I logged in uat ods_inb_stg user and then
I used this command
Exp ods_inb_stg/ods_inb_stg file=party_pt_address.expdat tables=(party,party_address)
log=party_pt_address.log;
getting error
Unknown command beginning "exp ods_inb_stg/..." - rest of line ignored.
What should I do any one help.
One more thing i have more than 100 tables how to export all tables and which is the easiest way and how to do it.
Thanks in Advance
VenkatHi,
based import and export we need to do.
suppose we think we have created tables in production and data also populated. we need to export the tables with data. i am able to export the tables with data some tables or full database.
suppose we have development environment. in development environment there is no tables. we can treat nothing in development. we have only username, password and hostname.
when you import the tables production to development automatically create the table structures with data.
where ever we wanted to import the tables no need to create table structures. thats why no need to think about table structures. -

Where is SearchExcel.class?Excellent question, though I think I spotted a problem with the cp supplied.
Note the documentation for -cp state (in part)
For example, if directory foo contains a.jar and b.JAR, then the class path element foo/* is expanded to a A.jar:b.JAR, except that the order of jar files is unspecified. So instead of this..
java -cp /tmp/MyJava/excelapi:/app/jdk/1.6.0_16/jre/lib:/app/jdk/1.6.0_16/lib SearchExcel..try this..
java -cp /tmp/MyJava/excelapi/*:/app/jdk/1.6.0_16/jre/lib:/app/jdk/1.6.0_16/lib SearchExcelNotes:
1) Adding the JRE classes to the classpath should not be necessary, but I left the rest of the cp unaltered to highlight the one specific difference I am suggesting.
2) When posting code, code snippets, HTML/XML or input/output, please use the code tags. The code tags help retain the indentation and formatting of the sample. To use them, select the sample text and click the CODE button.
If that still fails, tell us more specifically where the SearchExcel class is by copy/pasting the output (within code tags) of the command..
prompt>jar -tvf mysearchexcel.jarWhere, of course, you replace 'mysearchexcel.jar' with the actual Jar name it is supposed to be located in.
Edit 1:
Changed JavaDocs -> documentation.
