Import new rows to the existing table (urgent)

Hello everyone,
i have two databases in different locations. but in the initial stage, both are same.
if i add rows or update rows in database 1, i want to export the rows updated or added newly from database 1 and import to database 2 without any modification in database2 (i mean only the modified rows and new rows only to be imported to database2)
for example;
in initial stage
database 1-
table 1(5 rows)
table 2( 6 rows)
table 3 (1 row)
database 2-
table 1(5 rows)
table 2( 6 rows)
table 3 (1 row)
later stage
database 1-
table 1(7 rows)
table 2( 9 rows)
table 3 (1 row)
i need to update the below database 2 with 2 rows in table 1 and 3 rows in table 2. and it should not affect the table 3.
database 2-
table 1(5 rows)
table 2( 6 rows)
table 3 (1 row)
i need a solution for this. if anyone know the solution plz post the reply.

also expdp and impdp commands will work on 10g only i think so. but we are using 9i.Since you're using 9i, use Query option from Export(exp). Below notes would help.

  • Need to add 2 new columns to the existing table control of C223 transaction

    Hi ABAP Gurus,
    I have to do a screen enhancement for transaction C223.
    Below is the requirement:
    need to add 2 new columns to the existing table control of C223 transaction.
    there is no customer exits, screen exit or user exit present for this transaction C223, i have found one enhancement spot for this transaction.
    i dont have any idea how to do this in standard transaction C223, the table control in C223 saves the data to MKAL table and the table control uses the structure MKAL_EXPAND in the screen program.
    i have created an append structure for  the 2 fields to the standard table MKAL.
    Can anyone please suggest me how this can be done in standard screen C223, will the enhancement spot can be used to do this....
    please sugest...
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Santosh,
    Thanks for the reply. I have looked into this Enhancement Spot CPFX_SCREEN_SET , inside this there is only one method INPUT_DISABLED having below parameters
    IM_MKAL     Importing     Type     MKAL                                                                                Production Version
    EX_MSGID     Exporting     Type     SY-MSGID                                                                                Messages, Message

    the BADI definition present here is a SAP internal so we cant implement the BADI , but we can created a enhancement spot implementation for this. as per my understanding on this the enhancement spot is only for making the table control fields display / change .  i dont think this can be used to add two new coloumns to C223 table control.
    I am not sure thats why seeking your help/valuable sugestion on this.
    Please provide your sugestion on this , so that i can come to conclusion on this issue.

  • How do you Copy a row to create a new row in the same table?

    Hi,
    We have a PurchaseOrderHeaderView object and on click of Copy Purchase Order we want to copy a row in PURCHASE_ORDER_HEADER table to create a new row. We don't want to copy the primary key only the remaining fields.
    Regards
    Madhuri

    If you use ADF BC, you can create a new row programatically via createRow and use a sequence to create the Id and use the "original" row (probably the current row in the view object) to copy the values from to newly created row. Then use insertRow and commit to create the copied row.

  • How to add a footer row to an existing table?

    The LiveCycle on-line help is pretty cryptic on this one . . . .
    I have an existing table in a form in which the designer (me) left off a footer row by mistake. In lieu of deleting the table and rebuilding it using the Table Assistant, is there a way to add a footer row to the existing table? The on-line help seems to indicate that it's possible, but offers little in the way of instruction on how to do it.
    Thanks in advance!
    Bill

    Hi Bill,
    in your hierarchy view of your table,
    selsct the body row of your tabke and
    right-click and select 'Insert'.
    Then select 'Rows below'.
    You will see a new row beneath your original body row.
    Select your new row, and in your Object tab, select 'Footer Row' under type.
    Now, under the Pagination tab select wether you want to see the footer row on every page or just the last page.
    Good Luck!

    Hi deva,
    write a class which implemets these methods
    CLASS lcl_event_receiver DEFINITION.
      PUBLIC SECTION.
        METHODS:
    To handle the toolbar on alv
         handle_toolbar
           FOR EVENT toolbar OF cl_gui_alv_grid
              IMPORTING e_object e_interactive,
    To handle the buttons on the alv grid
         handle_user_command
           FOR EVENT user_command OF cl_gui_alv_grid
           IMPORTING e_ucomm.
    endclass.
    Now Implement these methods.
    CLASS lcl_event_receiver IMPLEMENTATION.
    To handle the toolbar on alv
      METHOD handle_toolbar.
       DATA ls_toolbar  TYPE stb_button.
        CLEAR gs_toolbar.
        MOVE 3 TO gs_toolbar-butn_type.
        APPEND gs_toolbar TO e_object->mt_toolbar.
        CLEAR gs_toolbar.
        PERFORM icon_create USING 'ICON_INSERT_ROW' gs_toolbar-icon.
        MOVE text-010 TO gs_toolbar-function.
        MOVE text-012 TO gs_toolbar-quickinfo.
        MOVE ' ' TO gs_toolbar-disabled.
        APPEND gs_toolbar TO e_object->mt_toolbar.
        CLEAR gs_toolbar.
        PERFORM icon_create USING 'ICON_DELETE_ROW' gs_toolbar-icon.
        MOVE text-011 TO gs_toolbar-function.
        MOVE text-013 TO gs_toolbar-quickinfo.
        MOVE ' ' TO gs_toolbar-disabled.
        APPEND gs_toolbar TO e_object->mt_toolbar.
      ENDMETHOD.
       METHOD handle_user_command.
    In this form, check the function code(e_ucomm has the function code), based on that do the required action.
    as i said yesterday(i.e for appending a row, deleting a row, modifying a row)
        PERFORM user_command USING e_ucomm.
      ENDMETHOD
    endclass.
    Before calling the alv method, create a object of this class.
    DATA :
          gref_event_receiver  TYPE REF TO lcl_event_receiver,
          gv_tables_alv          TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid.
          CREATE OBJECT gref_event_receiver.
          SET HANDLER   gref_event_receiver->handle_user_command
                        FOR gv_tables_alv.
          SET HANDLER   gref_event_receiver->handle_toolbar
                        FOR gv_tables_alv.
    check this program for event handling, it is the similar way
    demo_abap_objects_events
    Hope u understood this.

    Hi,
    First upload the file into an internal table. If you are using a file that is on application server. Use open dataset and close dataset.
    Then :
    Loop at it.
    *insert or modify as per your requirement.
    Endloop.

  • Inserting a new row in a child table referencing an already existing parent

    I have two tables PARENT & CHILD (one to many), both of which are populated at different times.
    In our toplink mappings, parent contains a collection of child Domain Objects, & and child Domain object contains a one - one to parent.
    How can I insert a new row in a child table with reference to an already existing row in parent?
    When I fetch the parent Domain object and try to set it in the child Domain Object and use the unitOfWork.registerObject() it goes into a circular loop of selecting from 2 other tables.
    Please suggest.

    Odd, have you disabled caching and indirection? (NoIdentityMap, dontUseIndirection, or alwaysRefresh/disableCacheHits). If so, then this could be the issue.
    Otherwise please include the sample code you use to perform this, and verify that you do not have any unusual code in your set/get methods or in descriptor events. Also turn TopLink logging on and include a sample. Also ensure that you do not modify your objects until after registering them in the unit of work, and only modify the unit of work clones.

  • Need to add a new row at the end of the table

    Experts,
    working jdev 11.1.1.3.0
    i am adding row programetically, my requirement need to add the row at after last row.
    i tried different ways.
    Row newLastRow = getPWBBidLaneVO().last();
    int lastRowIndex = getPWBBidLaneVO().getRangeIndexOf(newLastRow);
    getPWBBidLaneVO().insertRowAtRangeIndex(lastRowIndex - 1,
    laneRow);
    this is giving --- java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 0
    and
    http://kohlivikram.blogspot.com/2008/10/add-new-row-in-adf-table-on-button.html --- its giving index out of bound because vo.getRangeSize() is 25. We set this value at vo for performance improment suggestions.
    is there a way to add a new row at the end of the table?

    Add this to the view row impl class
           public void insertRow(Row row) {
               //go to the end of Rowset if it has rows
               Row lastRow = this.last();
               if (lastRow !=null){
                    //insert new row at the end and make it current
                   int indx = this.getRangeIndexOf(lastRow)+1;
                   this.insertRowAtRangeIndex(indx,row);
                   this.setCurrentRow(row);
               }else { // empty Rowset
               super.insertRow(row);
               }

  • Add a new row at the top of a table in GUI

    Hi,
    I am using JDev 11.1.1.1.0. I need to be able to let users add a new row at the top of a table and not anywhere else in the middle of table rows. I cannot seem to find a way to do it. note that it does not matter where a new row gets inserted in the db, i am only concerned about restricting the insert in the GUI to the topmost line/row.
    Thanks,
    AJ

    Hi
    Can you try with writing your custom create method in application module and calling same from UI on command button action like
    public void createNewRow()
    ViewObjectImpl vo = getVO1();
    Row newRow= vo.createRow()
    vo.insertRowAtRangeIndex(0, newRow);

    Administration - Marketing -> Import, you can set a parameter value "Import mode" for what to do in case of duplication as "update existing records", "Import new records". The final report of this import is presented as a text file that can be viewed in Business Administration - Marketing -> Import -> Exceptions. Whatever the exception, including duplication import occurs during import and recorded in a text file.   What are the fields that determine the duplicity? How I can I can change those?

    You will be returned anything that is in the option's value parameter. What is displayed in the dropdown and what is put in the value attribute do NOT need to be the same, so maybe you should start there.

  • Add new Row at the bottom of the advance table

    Hi,
    I have an advance table which is displaying 50 rows per page. I have a button at the bottom of the table to add a new row in the table.
    Requirement is whenever user clicks on the button to add a new row and if he is viewing the 50-100 rows, new row should be added at the bottom of the same page giving 101st row as new row.
    Is this functionality possible. Please let me know the code for the same.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kaushik

    Hi,
    If the records displayed is set to 50 then at one time only 50 records will be visible.
    101st row will be inserted at seperate navigation 100-150.
    Instead you can insert the row at the top so that 100th row gets shifted to 101 and new row becomes on the same page
    for this use
    vo.insertRowatRangeIndex(row,0);
    Thanks,
    Gaurav

  • Commiting 3 new rows - only 2 exist after

    Hi OTN,
    in my ADF BC application I have a bounded taskflow for creating new rows.
    It contains CreateInsert operations for VO1 and VO2 (VO2 is a child of VO1 and a child of another VO which is not touched by the taskflow). I've put postChanges between those operations so no temporary keys are there - the keys are generated via DB triggers.
    After those operations another bounded taskflow is called which contains CreateInsert for VO3 (VO3 is a child of VO1) and a form where Commit is called.
    After Commit I navigate to a test page which shows three forms representing VO1, VO2 and VO3. The page shows me that each of three new rows was created - I see them (with the real key valyes) in the forms.
    But in database only two new rows appeared. VO1 and VO3 (tables) have new rows, but no new row appeared in VO2 table. The form on a test page showed me a VO2 row which really didn't exist.
    Why is there no new row in one of tables?
    I use only one ApplicationModule.
    VO2 is a standard VO based on an entity. It is updatable.
    No errors in logfile.
    I how absolutely NO idea, why does it happen.
    Would love to hear an advice.
    Thanks.
    JDev 11.1.1.3

    Hi,
    if VO2 is dependent on VO1, when you create a new row in VO how to do you ensure its getting committe before VO2 gets committed ? Did you set the composite flag on the association between the two ? Another solution to handle this synchronization - to avoid constraint validations - is documented in the Fusion developer guide

  • How do I insert/Delete/Update a row to the DB Table from Business Component Browser

    I am using the wizard and created a project containing Business component which contain some table.
    When I run the project I could see "Oracle Business Component Browser(local)" and when I select some table from "View Object Member" I get a window displaying all the field of that table and I could browse all the info.
    My Problem is when I try to insert a new record/Delete the existing record or update some record it never gets reflected to the DataBase.
    When I try to insert a new row I did save and there was a dialog box displayed saying "Transaction ID is 1". But finally It's not reflected in the Database.
    Can some one guide me how can I do insert/delete/update operation from Oracle Component Business Browser so that the changes reflect to the Original DataBase.
    Thanks in advance
    Jitendra

    Jitendra,
    This may be a problem of caching. If you do an update,insert, or delete, and do not receive an error, then the transaction should indeed be posted.
    I assume you are hitting the Save icon after your changes if you are getting a transaction ID. Are you checking for the updates through another session (i.e. SQL*Plus), or do you then requery the View Object in the tester? Do you exit the tester and come back in and not see the changes?
