Import Oracle DataBase dump file Into Sql Server With out connection oracle using c# code.

Hi All,
I would like to ask how can imports my dump oracle database file data and struct into sql server 2005
with out make connection oracle.
best regards.
Hakim.

Hi Hakim.
Based on your title, what I understood there is a issue regarding transfer oracle db dump to sql database using C# code. Am I right? If so, I am afraid there is no build-in method which meet your requrements in .NET framework. You must provides
OraDump  Export API to allow developers integrate corresponding capabilities  into their applications. These capabilities are about export data from  Oracle dump files into popular databases like Microsoft SQL server. Every developer
having OraDump Export API can write just few lines of code on C# or  Visual Basic to implement the appropriate export process.
I am search a third-party link, but it's a paid service.

  • Can't import office 2010/13 files into SQL Server. I'm out of ideas!

    Hi
I have SQL Server 2012 installed on my Windows 8.1 Instance.  I want to be able to import and export data to Access 2013 files *accdb.  I have Office 64 bit installed on my machine.  I have searched a lot and can't find exactly what to do
to fix this.  I have even done a clean install of SQL, but still no bananas.
I have downloaded and installed Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 but that didn't help.
    Any ideas?

OK, now I know why I have never solved this problem.  When I try to install Microsoft Access
Database Engine 2010 32 bit version, I get an error saying I cannot install the 32 bit version while running Office 2013 64 bit.
    I found this blog http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-civil-3d/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-install-64-bit-Microsoft-Database-Drivers-alongside-32-bit-Microsoft-Office.html
which talks about the opposite problem, but not my problem.  Does anyone know of a work around to install the 32bit version of ADE with 64 bit Office?

  • Import a CSV text file into SQL Server using DTS

    Hi,
This may be a silly question but im gonna ask it anyway!
What i need to do is execute a DTS package from a CF page to read a text file and import its content to a table. I have 100's of txt files with 10,000's of rows.
The reason i think this is a silly question is because when setting the DTS package in SQL Ent, you have to specify the file name of the file you wish to import data from, therefore, its possible that you cannot change the file name. Ive done lots of research and not found one example that will allow me to do dynamically change the file name making the DTS pick up a different file. The only code ive found is as below, that executes the DTS and imports the data obtained from the file name that was set when the DTS package was created.
    <cfobject
    type="COM" name="objDTS" class="DTS.Package" action="CREATE">
    <CFSET
    r = objDTS.LoadfromSQLServer("[SERVERNAME]","[PASSWORD]","",0,"","","","[DTSPACKAGE]","")>
    <cfset
    p = objDTS.Execute()>
I found the following suggestion in a forum somewhere, but ive not had much luck with it
    <cfset
    objDTS.GlobalVariables.Item("filename").Value = "[statsFileName]">
I know an alternative to this is to read the file using CFfile or using Java and insert one by one, i dont dont like that method as it could cause performance issues with my server.
Hope someone can help me out.
    regards
    d

    Questions:
    1. What version of SQL Server are you using?
    2. Are you required to use a specific DTS package or do you simply need to import data from a file to a table?  You might also consider using the bcp utility or, if you are using 2005 or newer, integration services.
    3. Is the uploading of files and the import of data a manual process or is it automated?  Is there a user uploading one file at a time to your server or do you receive files in batches.  Can you describe the work flow?
You might try the following if you are required to use DTS:
    1. Upload your text file with CFFILE, putting in the directory expected by your DTS package.
    2. Rename the file to the name required by your DTS package
    3. Use CFEXECUTE to run the DTS package by calling dtsrun at the command line.

  • How do I import a SPSS .sav file into SQL 2008 r2 using SSIS

    Hi there,
Like the title says, I'm trying to import an SPSS .SAV file into an SQL 2008 R2 database using SSIS.
I've tried a few things, but i cant seem to get it to work properly. I'm hoping there's someone out there who could point me in the right direction.
    I've tried the following:
Tried the IBM step by step manual (http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/spssdc/v6r0m1/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.spss.ddl%2Faccess_odbc.htm)
--Couldnt folow this guide because I didnt have the SPSS MR DM-2 OLE DB Provider.
Tried installing the provider using (http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/spssdc/v7r0m0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.spss.ddl%2Fdts_troubleshooting.htm) as a guide to download the provider listed (www-03.ibm.com/software/products/nl/spss-data-model).
--This didnt work, I still could not see the provider listed after install and rebooting the server.
Tried to get the file as CSV (Company couldnt provide it in CSV or another format)
The server is a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise 64-bit, has the Data Collection Data Model installed on it with SQL Server 2008 R2.
If anyone could point me in the right direction they could make my day!
    Thanks in advance!
    Ronny

    Hi Ronny,
According to your description, you want to import a SPSS .sav file to SQL Server 2008 R2 database. If that is the case, we can achieve this requirement with SPSS or SQL query. For more details, please refer to the following methods:

    Hi,
There are various differences between the two.
    1. SQL Server is only Windows, but Oracle runs on almost all Platforms.
    2. You can have multiple databases in SQL Server, but Oracle provides you only one database per instance.Given that the very term 'database' has s different meaning in the two products, this "difference" is absolutely meaningless.
    3. SQL Server provides T-SQL for writing programs, whereas Oracle provides PL/SQLWhich means what? Both products have a procedural programming language. They named them differently, and the languages are not interchangeable. Means nothing in comparing the features/strengths/weaknesses/suitability to purpose.
    4. Backup types in both are the same. (Except Oracle provides an additional backup called Logical Backup.)You make that sound like "Logical Backup" is something more than it is. It is nothing more than an export of the data and metadata. Many experts don't even consider it a backup. I'm sure SQL Server provides the same functionality though they probably call it by some other name.
    5. Both provide High Availability.Well, I guess they both have a suite of features they refer to as "High Availability". But what does that really mean? The devil is in the details. Remember, the two products don't even agree on what constitutes a "database".
    6. Both come in various distributions.???

If you are going for an Implementation, you can try SQL Server Express Edition and Oracle XE which are free to use.
Then you can choose whichever is comfortable for your needs.
    Thanks.

  • Import MS Access 2013 tables into SQL Server 2012

    Hi there,
Is there a step by step example somewhere showing how to import an MS Access 2013 table into SQL Server 2012?
I have read the existing posts and don't see a definitive answer.
I have installed MS Access 2010 engine, first 32 bit then 64 bit.
I have installed the MS Access 2013 runtime on my server.
I use the Office 2015 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider.
    I get the error:
Error 0xc0202009: Source - APEntries [1]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR.  An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E37.
Error 0xc02020e8: Source - APEntries [1]: Opening a rowset for "`TableName`" failed. Check that the object exists in the database.
The post regarding the above errors doesn't resolve the issue.
I have full administrative permissions on the server.
What is the trick to making this work?
    Thanks,
    Ric

    Hi there,
I tried the exact same operation on a third machine.
This machine has Windows 8.1 64 bit, SQL Server 2012 64 bit, MS Office 2013 Plus 32 bit.
I am the administrator on this machine.
    I installed this:
Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable 32 bit (because I have MS Office 2013 plus 32 bit installed.)
    From here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255
It won't let me install the 64 bit version without uninstalling MS Office 32 bit.
I created an MS Access database on this machine using MS Access 2013 and created a table with 3 records.
I used the "Import and Export Data (32 bit)" from the start menu.
After I installed the "Database Engine 2010 32 bit" driver above, I now have the option of "Office 2015 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider" as Data Source which I did not have prior to doing this installation.
I selected the driver and added the Properties of the Data Source Name file location of the MS Access file. I am using a blank password.
I go thru the same sequence of selecting a table to import and after running the result is the same:
Error 0xc0202009: Source - APEntries [1]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR.  An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E37.
"Error 0xc02020e8: Source - APEntries [1]: Opening a rowset for "`TableName`" failed. Check that the object exists in the database."
This seems to be consistent across three machines with three operating systems with the same files and the same result.
I understand that some people have gotten this to work.
I would appreciate it if anyone can report an error in the above procedure to me.
    Thanks,
    Ric

  • Import directory of *.dump files into TimesTen, is it possible?

    Hello,
I am migrating a bunch of tables from one TimesTen database to another.  I have used SQL Developer to export the tables out using the ttbulkcp utility and am now looking at importing it into the other database.  What is the best way to do this? All the examples I have seen for ttbulkcp show importing a single dump file, is there anyway to import a directory of dump files?

    Hi there,
I've downloaded the latest English Wikipedia dump (enwiki-latest-pages-articles.xml),

    code I've used:

    objBL.ConnectionString = "provider=SQLOLEDB;data source=localhost;database=tempdb;integrated security=SSPI"

    objBL.SGDropTables = True
    objBL.Execute "export-0.8.xml", "enwiki-latest-pages-articles.xml"

This VBScript should generate the tables and load the Wikipedia XML file into them. The VBScript code also uses the wikimedia
