Import ServerBatch not able to connect to server
I am trying to use import server batch to update some customer master recprds.
I am using xml schema and an xml file with data. These are succesfully processed through import manager.
I tried import server using the same and hit a bug in MDM import server we are MDM SP04 pck1. our os is 64 bit. this I am following in another thread.
As work around I am trying to use importmanager batch to automate my imports.
I am getting an error in the log unable to connect repository. I am giving my ini file and log getting generated Helpful answers will be rewarded.
The command I am using to execute is
ImportManagerBatch.exe /INI abc.ini

DataSource at Report Server is not able to connect another server
Hi All,
I am having two servers on different Domain; One where my default SQL 2012 database Instance is present (say: Server 1), and another server where Report Server 2012 is installed (say Server 2).
From Management Studio, I am able to connect database server 1 from server 2. Even I am able to Ping server 1 from server 2.
But when I am creating Data Source at Report Server (Server 2), to connect Database Server (Server 1), I am getting below error:
"A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.
(provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)"
I using below connection string in Data Source:
Data Source=SERVER1;Initial Catalog=msdb
Below are the additional information:
Server Instance Protocols on Server 1: Named Pipe, TCP/IP and Shared Memory are Enabled
SQL Services on Server 1: SQL Server, SQL Browser are running
Please help me on this.
Thanks ,
Avi
-Regards Avi | Please kindly don’t forget to mark the post(s) that answered your questionAre you really connecting to the msdb database in your connection string? What is the user you are connecting to the database as when you are in Management Studio? Is it an SQL user or a Windows user? Maybe whatever credentials you are
using in your datasource does not have access to the sql server?
And is it Server 1 or Server1? or is that just an example server name. I agree with trying the ip address but make sure you are using the same credentials as you do in Management Studio -
Bb Traffic not able to connect to server
Has anyone else had problems using Traffic over the last week or so? I keep getting the message Unable to reach server.
At first I thought it might be weather related, but it is also happening when the weather is clear and visibility high, so now I am not so sure, as it could be a server outage of some kind.
Any suggestions? I've called Verizon and got the usual ' We don't see any issues on our side to account for this' message, I.e., they are pointing back to RIM.

From what I understand, you need to copy the valid certificate from our server to the other computer. Perhaps the following example will be useful:

Borland C++ Delphi application is not able to connect to SQL Server as Non Admin user
Hi,
I am working on a Borland C++ and Delphi application. This application connects to SQL Server and returns database queries results. Once we migrated to windows Server 2003 we have started facing an issue.
1. IF we login to client application as admin user then this connects properly with SQL Server and returns database queries. But if we connect using Non- Admin users then application is not able to connect SQL Server.
SQL Server 2008
Windows Server 2003.
Can anybody help on this.
Thanks in Advance.
RakeshThis application is written in Borland C++ and Delphi running on Windows 2003 Server. This is a Windows GUI based small tool. Basic functionality of the tool is : 1) Once we invoke the tool it connects to DB(SQL Server 2005) and populates a list of
all the tables present in DB. 2) If we select any table from the list populated in step (1) and provide query parameters, this will return results from Database.
Issue: IF we login to the Windows machine as Administrator this application runs perfectly .This application populates the DB tables correctly and returns results from database when queries executed as in step (2)
But if we login as some other user (like hubapp) then this populates some different set of table which are not from the same database instance .Also the queries does not return any results. In the logs we get following error message : (TiltData is the instance
name for our Database)
Msg:Application Exception : Cannot locate or connect to SQL server.Unable to connect: SQL Server is unavailable or does not exist. Specified SQL
server not found.Alias:
TiltData1 occurred in main thread.
As for the connection string
'DATABASE NAME=tiltdata'
'SERVER NAME=SDV3'
'USER NAME=sa'
'OPEN MODE=READ ONLY'

'NATIONAL LANG NAME='
'ENABLE BCD=FALSE'
'TDS PACKET SIZE=65535'
'BLOBS TO CACHE=64'

Any help is appreciated. I have spent a lot of time on this issue with no results.

Not able to connect to a queue under a foreign server.
Not able to connect to a queue under a foreign server.
I'm using WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.3.0. The foreign server is running, and can be pinged from this local server. Also the port where queue resides on foreign server, can be accessed through the my local server.
OS used is AIX 6.0 on both servers.
Tried restarting the local server but nothing helps. Same error continues.
HAS ANYBODY FACED THIS PROBLEM? WHAT IS THE CAUSE AND SOLUTION FOR THIS?

Edited by: 942523 on Jun 24, 2012 11:38 PMThanks René van Wijk for the reply.
I have a foreign server created in my local server, where i have already given the provider URL. This foreign server has the one queue and one queue connection factory under it to which I'm referring to.
Under JNDI tree i noticed this, for the queue(NOTIFY_QUEUE) i'm trying to read from one of the EJB:
This page displays details about this bound object.
Failed to create InitialContext using factory specified in hashtable
Also,etc/hosts has already these IP entries. Even after hardcoding the provider URL its throwing following:
