If you work as business intelligence developer or database administrator, I have been taught that powershell is important to learn and what component or criteria is also important to learn from SharePoint 2013?
How about workflow?

Here at my workplace workflow is very very appreciated by Management. Also the ability to share office documents with other in the company without involving IT. Web sites to share performance of all departments is very appreciated.
Mainly these features have made SharePoint one of the most critical applications in the company as expressed by Management and, believe it or not, Management here
says is more critical than Exchange Server (e-mail).
By the way, I work for a Telco company.

According to your description, you are missing some records while importing data from SharePoint into SQL Server.
Based on my research, the issue always occurs when Error Output (under Connection Manager and Columns) within Source or Error Output (under Connection Manager and Mappings) with Destination Component is set to Ignore Failure or Redirect Row. Then the component
will succeed, but only the successful rows will be inserted. So please check the Error Output on all your components in your Data Flow Task.

Setting Workflow status not working in imported workflow from SPD to Visual Studio

I have created SPD workflow and imported in visual studio. When I deploy imported Workflow using visual studio feature I found that Setting Workflow Status action is not working. Do I need to change Set Workflow status activity in Visual studio to make it
work.

According to your post, my understanding is that Setting Workflow status did not work in imported workflow from SharePoint Designer to Visual Studio.
I try to reproduce the issue and the result is the same as yours.
After I import the workflow, choose the .xoml file, the view is as below:
To troubleshooting the issue, I add a new item to the project and select “Sequential Workflow” in the template.
After I click the Tool, I find that there don’t have the “SetCustomWorkflowStatus1” activity.
To set the status of the state, we need to use the “Set State” Activity in the “SharePoint Workflow” toolbar.
That is the reason why the “SetCustomWorkflowStatus1” activity does no work.

Import file from another CMS (SharePoint) repository
Given:
Documents reside in various SharePoint Site Collections.
Book is saved to Site Collection #1
Using FrameMaker's CMS functionality, I am able to easily browse multiple repositories (each repository representing a connection to a different SharePoint Site Collection).
How can I import, via reference or copy, a file from Site Collection #2? The options to browse to another repository, by URL, or by local file system are grayed out. It would appear that I am only able to import files from within the same site collection that my book exists in.Is this a bug or limitation of the software? Any chance this will be fixed in an upcoming update?

When I try to import files from iMac HDD into the event, it fails. FCPX dosn't see this files for import. Files are *.m2ts and *.mpg. Should I buy plagin Quicktime component MPEG-2 to resolve a problem?
no you should transcode those files into an format that os suitable for editing. Like proRez. Although you might need some Flip4Mac or perian or something to do the conversion.

and a solution for this would create a new column named SUM(category group), this can be done with data source from SQL server, but my data is from SharePoint site list. its query seems can't be changed which means I can't add a SUM column.

If we want to display a total for each column on the top of a stacked chart, we can use a matrix control to display the column total value to work around this issue.

2.then create a cube which will include these infoobj's and activate it.
3.create an application component and then create infosource,right click and assign ds to infosource and specify ur PC file source system(whatever system u've), 4.then u'll go to the infosource screen where u need to maintain the exact order of ur file in transfer structure tab, then maintain transfer rules, activate it.
5.create upate rules for ur cube by mentioning this infosource name.
6.create infopackages and schedule them. after data is loaded to cube, use tcode rrmx and logon to bex and find ur cube and then create queries on them. -
How to call COPY web service from sharepoint in SAP

SharePoint Online Management Shell
Instructions
All configuration will be done either in the Search Administration of the Central Administration or in the PowerShell console of your on-premise SharePoint 2013 server.
Set up Sever to Server Trust
Export certificates
To create a server to server trust we need two certificates.
[certificate name].pfx: In order to replace the STS certificate, the certificate is needed in Personal Information Exchange (PFX) format including the private key.
[certificate name].cer: In order to set up a trust with Office 365 and Windows Azure ACS, the certificate is needed in CER Base64 format.
First launch the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
Select your SharePoint web server and double-click Server Certificates
In the Actions pane, click Create Self-Signed Certificate
Enter a name for the certificate and save it with OK
To export the new certificate in the Pfx format select it and click Export in the Actions pane
Fill the fields and click OK Export to: C:\[certificate
name].pfx Password: [password]
Also we need to export the certificate in the CER Base64 format. For that purpose make a right-click on the certificate select it and click on View...
Click the Details tab and then click Copy to File
On the Welcome to the Certificate Export Wizard page, click Next
On the Export Private Key page, click Next
On the Export File Format page, click Base-64 encoded X.509 (.CER), and then click Next.
As file name enter C:\[certificate
name].cer and then click Next
Finish the export
Import the new STS (SharePoint Token Service) certificate
Let's update the certificate on the STS. Configure and run the PowerShell script below on your SharePoint server.

In the Actions section click on Add Result Block
As title enter Results for "{subjectTerms}" from SharePoint Online
In the Search this Source dropdown select your SharePoint Online result source
Select 3 in the Items dropdown
Expand the Settings section and select "More" link goes to the following URL
In the box below enter this Url https://[example].sharepoint.com/search/pages/results.aspx?k={subjectTerms}

Getting error while opening Excel document from SharePoint site
Hello All,
I am getting following error while opening Excel document from SharePoint site.
This issue appears when we open Excel document from Windows>> Run using below mentioned command:
Excel.exe "{File Name}"
If once I go to Excel back stage and browse for the SharePoint location, then this problem disappears.
I have a work around for this issue but main problem is that i do not have any work around when i need to open Exel document using Excel COM interop in C#.

How can I call a public function in one component from another component?
I have two components: Form and Confirmation. Form is a Canvas and Confirmation is a TitleWindow.
Form contains several controls and a submit button. Confirmation contains an OK button. When the user clicks the submit button, the Confirmation appears over the Form (Form is blurred). When the user clicks the OK button on the Confirmation, I want to run a function on Form to set some default values in the controls.
How can I address the function in the Form component from the Confirmation component so I can fire the function?

it is binded with a database , so one field determine its display and one other field determine its value , I want to set the selected item of this combobox
In back code i have both value and display values to use them .
can some one give me some help ?

I work at a Learning Center that has 12 iPads on the same iTunes and iCloud account. Each classroom uses an iPad assigned to their room to take photos. Each of these photos then shows up in the Photo Stream in all 11 of the other iPads. I have no trouble importing photos that are in the Camera Roll of any individual iPad, but I have not been able to import photos from the Photo Stream if the picture was not taken on the specific iPad I am using. It is not feasible for me to collect all 12 iPads everyday to import everyones photos, so how can I use one "master" iPad that will let me import photos from the Photo Stream since it has all the photos that everyone has taken?
You downloaded an iCloud backup to your PC? I assume you mean you downloaded your photo stream to your PC. What you may not know is that photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days. After that, they are deleted from photo stream but not from any device that already has them (such as your phone). When you enabled photo stream on your PC you only had access to photos from the last 30 days since the others are no longer there, even though they remain on your phone.
To transfer these to your computer at this point you have two options:
Save them to the camera roll on your phone (by opening the my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. (You can only import photos to your computer from the Camera Roll album.) Then import them to your computer as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083; or
Use an app like PhotoSync, which can wirelessly transfer photos from any album between your devices/computers, including the my photo stream album.
In the future, always import your photos from your camera roll to your computer via USB before deleting them. Don't rely on photo stream or your iCloud backup to save your photos.
