Importing a spreadsheet or table into a form?

You all have been very helpful on the forum so far so I am back with another forms question!
I'm building a proposal form that fits the brand of our company and it looks lovely but the functionality is not quite up to par. My boss hates writing proposals so he wants me to make this as easy as possible for him. What I've done is create a fillable form for him basically by first doing the layout design in InDesign and then exporting as a PDF. On the first page all he has to do is fill in the client's name and info. The next few pages (Scope of Work) is more difficult because it changes with each client. Therefore I've made a spreadsheet for him to fill out in excel which I would like him to be able to just drop right into the proposal form. How would this be accomplished?
Any other suggestions of how to make a highly functiona proposal are welcome.

Set it up as a WP or draw document using mail merge. You can enter the name, address, instrument, lesson time, etc. in a database and merge those, as well as the raw data for payments and attendance. Then create a spreadsheet frame to do the calculations. You can merge the necessary dbase info into that.
For instance, I publish music and my invoice form merges the customer info, the number of copies in their current order and figures up the extended cost, totals the order and adds shipping. Since I only sell wholesale (ie I have the same customers over and over), all I have to do when someone orders is to dupe their last order record and change the number of copies for the different titles to reflect the current order.
If I need data like how many copies of a given title I sold (when figuring out royalties to arrangers, say), I just merge that dbase data into a spreadsheet.
What you want to do is doable. You're just doing it kind of wrong way round.

I'm guessing you're using the free version. I would first try to import a table from another PDF file. If that doesn't work I would try using the "add item" feature for either the "text" or "email" fields because those are formatted as 2 columns. You will just have to manipulate them how you want them.

Import MS Access 2013 tables into SQL Server 2012

Is there a step by step example somewhere showing how to import an MS Access 2013 table into SQL Server 2012?
I have read the existing posts and don't see a definitive answer.
I have installed MS Access 2010 engine, first 32 bit then 64 bit.
I have installed the MS Access 2013 runtime on my server.
I use the Office 2015 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider.
I get the error:
Error 0xc0202009: Source - APEntries [1]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E37.
Error 0xc02020e8: Source - APEntries [1]: Opening a rowset for "`TableName`" failed. Check that the object exists in the database.
The post regarding the above errors doesn't resolve the issue.
I have full administrative permissions on the server.
What is the trick to making this work?

Hi there,
I tried the exact same operation on a third machine.
This machine has Windows 8.1 64 bit, SQL Server 2012 64 bit, MS Office 2013 Plus 32 bit.
I am the administrator on this machine.
I installed this:
Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable 32 bit (because I have MS Office 2013 plus 32 bit installed.)
From here:

It won't let me install the 64 bit version without uninstalling MS Office 32 bit.
I created an MS Access database on this machine using MS Access 2013 and created a table with 3 records.
I used the "Import and Export Data (32 bit)" from the start menu.
After I installed the "Database Engine 2010 32 bit" driver above, I now have the option of "Office 2015 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider" as Data Source which I did not have prior to doing this installation.
I selected the driver and added the Properties of the Data Source Name file location of the MS Access file. I am using a blank password.
I go thru the same sequence of selecting a table to import and after running the result is the same:

Import a java.jar file into EBS forms.

I have created a java class and deploy it into a .jar file. I need to import this file into the Oracle Application forms in order to call this class from Custom.pll.

1. What version of SQL Server are you using?
2. Are you required to use a specific DTS package or do you simply need to import data from a file to a table? You might also consider using the bcp utility or, if you are using 2005 or newer, integration services.
3. Is the uploading of files and the import of data a manual process or is it automated? Is there a user uploading one file at a time to your server or do you receive files in batches. Can you describe the work flow?
You might try the following if you are required to use DTS:
1. Upload your text file with CFFILE, putting in the directory expected by your DTS package.
2. Rename the file to the name required by your DTS package
3. Use CFEXECUTE to run the DTS package by calling dtsrun at the command line.

Hi,
To Create HTML Tables in the XML Forms, use the HTML Editor from the Menu and Function bar. When the form is generated then tables can be created using this editor.

Importing XML Data Back into the Form

I have a form that shows several subforms based on the selections the user has made while filling in the form. This is working quite well but when I import the XML data back into the form it doesn't show the subforms that have been used.
Is there an easy way to change this?

Are your subforms "hidden" and you opt to display them upon selection of a radio button for example, or do you SetInstances()? If you're using visible=TRUE or FALSE, that may also cause some issues.

Of course this will go on top of your radio button group.
If you are exporting to XML, it will make your life a whole lot easier, by the way, to import an XSD and bind your nodes, especially as your forms and data start to get more complex.
Finally, you may also know this but -- unless you have Forms Server, any user that wants to export the data or import the data will need to have at least full Acrobat Professional. If you want people to be able to save data in the form but import/export isn't that important, they will need to have full Acrobat.

Have followed directions on importing data in text format into a form in Acrobat Pro X . Does not work. Is it possible to import a large amount of data into a form and have multiple forms created? Very frustrating and disappointing.

Can I Transform tables into CSS or other formats?

I've got a big site that was created in GoLive. All the pages make extensive use of tables due to the way GoLive worked its wysiwyg layouts.
I'm not a programmer but I did know how to create decent looking pages that way. Now I've got DW and want to make changes to the pages. Now these pages all look like tables and I can't just drag and drop to move things around.
Is there some way in DW to change all these tables into a form where I can manipulated them easily? I'm just learning about CSS. Is that the way to go?
Of course any new pages I'll create with CSS, but I still need to work with lots of these older pages.

Confused How to push Data from Oracle DB Tables into Hyperion Planning?

I m Newbie to ODI. My DataSource is Oracle 11g Database (HR Tables) and my Target is Hyperion Planning.
I successful imported Oracle DB HR tables into ODI and Hyperion Planning Dimensions Like(Employee) but i dont understand in " ODI Interface" how i am going to do Mapping between Oracle tables and Planning application Dimension, am i doing wrong way?
I am confused if i have to push Data from Oracle 10g HR Tables into Hyperion Planning am i following right approach ?

Well i have working knowledge in ODI, i did whole complete cycle and i did customization project for Oracle EBS to Data warehouse though ODI.
What, I am NOT able to figure out How to LINK Hyperion Planning Outline to Oracle EBS HR Tables. cause in Hyperion Outline i m able to view Dimensions Not particular Column to map with EBS HR Table (column).
Eample:
In EBS HR we have Employee Number in Per_all_people_f but in Hyperion Planning Dimension is ONLY Employee.

I have no idea what "Oracle Hetrogenius Services" is, so I can't help you with that, sorry.
SQL Developer might also assist you. SQL Developer can connect to SQL Server as well as Oracle and has some tools for migration. See the documentation for details:
