Importing CIS: Extended Suppliers fields

We are migrating supplier (and sub-con) data for our client. Sub-contractor requires data in additional fields
CIS_ENABLED_FLAG
CIS_VERIFICATION_DATE
UNIQUE_TAX_REFERENCE_NUM
NATIONAL_INSURANCE_NUMBER
COMPANY_REGISTRATION_NUMBER
VERIFICATION_NUMBER
SALUTATION
FIRST_NAME
SECOND_NAME
LAST_NAME
TRADING_NAME
PARTNERSHIP_UTR
PARTNERSHIP_NAME
WORK_REFERENCE
MATCH_STATUS_FLAG
These fields are available in AP_SUPPLIERS but not available in supplier open interface table.
How can we import these fields?
As of now my plan is to create suppliers and supplier sites by Oracle Supplier open interface. Then write a manual update to update the CIS information.
Please confirm the correct approach. Is there an API to import the CIS: Extended Suppliers fields

  • Import Manager and Display Fields

    I've been using SRM-MDM 3.0 for a couple of months and 1 fundamental MDM design has always bothered me and I was hoping to get some resolve on this.
    The purpose of Display Field is 2 folds:
    1. Display the field in the Catalog Search UI for a lookup table: i.e. if both Supplier Name and ID are Display Fields, then in the Search UI, both fields are displayed to the end-user. If only Supplier ID was the display field, then in the UI only the ID is displayed.
    - From a usability pov, tables such as Supplier and Product Group should have the name or description fields displayed in the Search UI as the numeric values are meaningless to the end-users.
    2. Display field ALSO affect what is the key used to import data into a table.  So if Supplier ID is the display field for Supplier table, then in Import Manager, the Supplier ID values are displayed and must be mapped to the source values.
    - From an importing pov, mapping values should always be an index-like field, such as Supplier ID or Product Group ID, or ISO, and usually never the actual name or description field.
    But SAP has tied the two together. So in order to display the name/description to the end-user, we must enable the name/description field as a Display Field.  But we also want to map based on the index/ID field, so we also enable the index/ID field as a Display Field.  Now in Import Manager, we have two Display Fields for a table (i.e. Supplier ID and Supplier Name for Supplier table) and I've noticed some issues with this:
    1. You import file must have BOTH values (index/ID and the name/description fields) in the source, in order to Automap.  If your source file only has 1 field, like in MECCM when extracting  ECC contract, ONLY the Supplier ID, or Category ID is extracted, Automap is not possible.  What is funny is that standard SAP extract program only extracts the ID fields, BUT the standard SAP repository has the name/description fields as the Display Field.  Automap is a must for tables like Product Group where hundreds of lines can make manual mapping a pain.
    2. I also noticed you cannot Add values to a table that has 2 Display Fields, you can only map to existing values.  The Add button is grayed out.
    With all that said, when you're replication ECC Contract Data using MECCM, for tables like Supplier and Product Group, what fields should be set as Display Fields, and if there are multiple Display Fields, what special setting needs to be done in Import Manager to enable automapping?  Even standard SAP Import Map (_MDMContractDataTransmission_ProductID) throws errors when multiple fields are set as Display Fields.
    I'm not familiar with the partitioning function, and I've seen PDF's about it, but don't really see how it could be helpful. I've also read someone suggesting changing the DF's before import, which I think is unacceptable, as this requires unloading/loading repositories everytime an import happens.
    Thanks for reading my paragraph and any input is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Derek,
    Thanks for writing your thoughts. I would like to provide some information on one of your points where in you have mentioned that :
    You import file must have BOTH values (index/ID and the name/description fields) in the source, in order to Automap. If your source file only has 1 field, like in MECCM when extracting ECC contract, ONLY the Supplier ID, or Category ID is extracted, Automap is not possible.
    I completely agree that if you have 2 fields in MDM repository and you are only importing only one of them, then you cannot use the Automap feature of Import Manager. So in your case, the description is not getting importing, so you cannot use Automap in that case.
    I had a very similar requirement in one of my project and we went with creation of a Import Value template. We created a template with all the possible values for all the look up tables in that and mapped it once in the Map. Hence, next time, the Map was used to automatically Map the source and Destination values for all the look up tables.

    Please read the above article and hope its useful. You can go for this approach in your case if suitable.
    I have mentioned examples of descriptions and their respective fields in the article.
    Hope it helps.

  • Extended lookup field results in HTML encoded string in list view

    Hello again,
    I have built an extended lookup field to provide picker support. For this I have custom field type and custom field control. Field type looks like this:
    <FieldType>
    <Field Name="TypeName">LookupWithPicker</Field>
    <Field Name="ParentType">Lookup</Field>
    <Field Name="TypeDisplayName">$Resources:FieldDescriptions, LookupWithPickerDisplayName</Field>
    <Field Name="TypeShortDescription">$Resources:FieldDescriptions, LookupWithPickerTypeShortDescription</Field>
    <Field Name="UserCreatable">TRUE</Field>
    <Field Name="FieldTypeClass">Sharepoint.Fields.Types.LookupWithPicker, $SharePoint.Project.AssemblyFullName$</Field>
    <PropertySchema>
    <Fields>
    <Field Name="LookupList" Type="Text" DisplayName="Lookup List Id" MaxLength="36" DisplaySize="36" Hidden="TRUE" />
    <Field Name="LookupField" Type="Text" DisplayName="Lookup Field Name" MaxLength="36" DisplaySize="36" Hidden="TRUE" />
    <Field Name="LookupContentType" Type="Text" DisplayName="Lookup Content Type Id" MaxLength="255" DisplaySize="255" Hidden="TRUE" />
    </Fields>
    </PropertySchema>
    </FieldType>
    public class LookupWithPicker : SPFieldLookup
    #region Constructors
    public LookupWithPicker(SPFieldCollection fields, string fieldName)
    : base(fields, fieldName)
    public LookupWithPicker(SPFieldCollection fields, string typeName, string displayName)
    : base(fields, typeName, displayName)
    #endregion
    #region Public properties
    public override BaseFieldControl FieldRenderingControl
    get
    LookupWithPickerFieldControl ctrl = new LookupWithPickerFieldControl(this);
    ctrl.FieldName = InternalName;
    return ctrl;
    #endregion
    At this point everything works as expected except for the list view part:
    I wonder why it's HTML encoded? Do I need to provide custom XSL too? I find it a bit confusing when display form renders this field properly without any customization required.

    Hi,
    Can you try to put the following code under the </PropertySchema>:
    <RenderPattern Name="DisplayPattern">
    <Column HTMLEncode="FALSE" />
    </RenderPattern>

  • Requisition  - Assigned Source of Supply field

    Hello,
    Please could someone advise how the Requisition Assigned Source of Supply field (EBAN-ZUGBA) gets populated. I am particularly interested in how it would get populated in a MRP created requisition.
    Thank you,
    Kind Regards,
    Jackie Jones

    Hi,
    I have just tried this in our system and found some that did not have the flag set (I checked for MRP generated requisitions where the Assigned was equal to spaces and the fixed vendor flag was NOT equal to spaces)
    There were not many but I was suprised to find even one.
    It might be better to change the code used in the workflow to check for the presence of a fixed vendor or agreement instead of relying on this flag.
    I will have a look to see if I can see why it is not set sometimes and I will let you know if I find anything.

  • Extend a field set

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm working with new SAP CRM2007 User Interface and I would like to know how I could extend the field set for a block in the configuration. The example is this: if I try to create a new trade promotion and by pressing F2 button on the block of "Trade Promotion: Details" I'm not able to get the field set which are available for the "History" block.
    How can I get it?
    Points if helpful,
    thanks a lot,
    A.

    User, tell us your jdev version, please!
    Please take your time to rephrase your question. It's hard to understand what you really try to do. The better you describe the use case the better is the help we can give.

  • EQ & eQ Import:  Where is Supplier Material ID stored on Import?

    In Material eQ there is a data field for Supplier (Material) ID.  We are not seeing this value imported to the Spec Object.  The only place we see a similar reference label is on the SRSA but it does not import there either. This supplier entered value is stored in eQMaterialQuestionnaire.supplieringnumber
    Where does this data element flow to so we can utilize it in the UI?
    Thank you.  --BeckieC

    You are right that this field maps to the supplier material ID on the sourcing approval, unfortunately this has to be manually copied to the sourcing approval along with any sourcing approval specific docs and/or custom data.
    We hope to offer the ability to push data to the sourcing approval from eQ in a future release.  If you are interested in this feature go ahead and submit an enhancement request so we can make sure your use cases are covered.
    Thanks,
    Kelly

  • Importing data into form fields

    I own a retail parts store, and one of my suppliers has given me a flyer that has been created with a form so that their customer's (myself included) can manipulate that pricing to our liking.
    My issue is that the flyer was created using American dollars, and I need to convert the entire 24 pages to Canadian dollars....and a newer flyer comes out every two months.
    They do include a pricing file in numerous different formats (which I can easily multiply),  but due to the fact that each price has been entered into a form field in the pdf flyer, I cannot figure out how to export that data, let alone import the new pricing back in.
    Attatched is one page of the flyer if that will help.
    I have been trying to find an answer to this for some time now, if anyone has an idea or can point me in the right direction I would be very greatful.

    Thank you for your reply, and yes, I am able to merge the form's data files into a spreadsheet, through manage form data, but I cannot get that data back into the pdf document once I have changed the info in a spreadsheet.  Using the import option will only allow .fdf  files to be imported, in which I cannot manipulate the data.

  • Is it possible to make Supplier field Mandatory in Shopping Cart (SRM7.0)?

    Hi Experts,
    We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario.
    We are only using Shopping Cart  functionality and most of the  Material and services will have Contract & Pur. Info Records in ECC B/E system.
    in SRM, if any Product don't have any SoS , then user can assign Supplier code and Price manually in S/C and Classic PO creates automatically. But if User missed to enter Supplier code then, in that case we neither want to sent the S/C to the Sourcing Cockpit nor want to create ECC PR from it.
    If there is NO any SoS ( ECC Contract or Pur Info Record) exist , then  user MUST have to enter Supplier code & price  manually and so we want to set the fields SUPPLIER & PRICE  MANDATORY.
    Is it Possible ? if yes , then how this can be done ?
    Thanks

    here you are giving more control to REQUISITIONER department than Purchasing department.

    you can validate any field to make mandatory...and spit error by doc check BADI.

    Though business allows REQUISITIONER wants to create  PO directly from the shopping cart without BUYER intervention and WITHOUT Fixed vendor . no issues . Asimple logic to change preferred vendor 39 to fixed vendor 19 logic by doc change badi
    so whenever REQUESTIONER assign a preffered vendor it can create a Purchase order.
    Assigning source of supply decision is very critical to business . Business wants always it should be competetive best price.
    Hope you understand ..

  • Import: CVD Base Value field is blank in MIGO

    All SAP gurus,
    We are running a Import's scenario.
    For this we have created Z condition types for CVD and BCD,  maintained all the condition types in pricing procedure (Customs Duty and CVD etc)
    Excise defauls are also maintained.
    problem we are facing is:
    Base value field is blank in MIGO and CVD amounts are not coming automatially from PO.
    When we maintained the values for CVD manually, accounting entry is correct.
    Which settings might be missing.
    Regards,

    HI,
    You need to enter the custom invoice number while doing GR wrt to Import PO, it will ask you the commercial invoice number which is your custom clearing agent invoice number once you put the invoice number and the year of the invoice, the base value will be come from there. Also check quantity with which custom commercial invoice was posted in the system should be equal to GR qty.

  • Import Text From Form Field into Subject Line of Email

    Hello,
    Is there a way to import text from a form field into the subject line of the email when sending back (attaching) the PDF form?  In other words, there is an "applicant name" and I would like that name to be the subject line of the email.
    I am using Adobe Acrobat X (10.1.7)
    If any one has aby guidance or resources online where I can locate this information I would greatly appreciate it!  I have been searching all day but have not found a solution yet.
    Thanks!

    Thank you so much for the help.  For some reason I cannot get it to work though.   Now, when I hit the submit button it does not do anything.
    Previously, I had the following code under
    ACTIONS>Mouse Up>Submit a Form
    mailto:[email protected]?subject=Employee Application
    I removed the above mailto URL and put in your code as a Javascript function. I made sure that my field name matched the name in quotes within the code.
    I used the following:
    var subject = getField("lastname").value
    this.mailDoc({
    bUI: false,
    cTo: "[email protected]",
    cSubject: subject,
    cMsg: "Type message here"
    Do you see anything obvious that I am doing wrong?
    Many thanks!

  • Excel import error with NCHAR field on v1.2.1

    Hi, we've tried to import data from Excel to an Oracle table (10g) using SQL Developer 1.2.1. However it failed with the following error in Log Window:
    ORA-00917: missing comma
    Further checking revealed that one field in Oracle table was defined as NCHAR, while the generated DML value was without quote:-
    insert into test_table (field1,field2) VALUES(123,1B);
    When we replaced the '1B' value to numeric value 11, the import worked. As we're using an application package, we cannot simply modify the table/field's attribute from NCHAR to CHAR. Is there a way to configure SQL Developer that will have the quote placed like:-
    insert into test_table (field1,field2) VALUES(123,'1B');
    which works fine in SQL Developer Query mode.
    Please advise, thanks :)

    Note and thanks for handling and fixing this issue.
    Furthermore to the import function, we also noted that the default setting cannot fit to inserting data with Chinese (or Double Byte) characters, we will need to add a "N" as a prefix, e.g.:-
    insert into table_a (field_a, field_b) values(123, N'一二三')
    If "N" is missing, field_b will only contains garbage.
    As we notice that the import will generate insert statements, please see if you can include this problem as part of the "missing quote" fix, thanks.

  • Importing word documents -  data fields

    Hi..
    When trying to import a word document with bookmarks and datafields the bookmarks came correctly but the data fields did not.
    the data fields were created in the word document using an executable file where the fileds in the excel sheet were picked up and filled to the word document. (the descriptions in the relevent fields table in the attached document) when they are imported to robohelp the bookmarks are missing. let me know how i should correct it.

    I'm not surprised about the data fields. That data isn't actually in the Word document, only a reference, so there isn't anything to import to RH. This can't be fixed from RoboHelp; the answer (if there is one) lies in Word, or possibly the executable that gets the data from Excel.
    If you find an answer, please post it - I am having a similar Word problem. I am trying to convert cross-references to regular text - a little bit like "Paste Special > Values" converts formulas to their resulting values in Excel.
