Importing Elastik loops into GB

Well I thought I had it all figured out but now I find I'm missing something....
You can "bounce" samples from Elastik to wav files and convert them to Aiff through itunes but for some reason, I'm not able to import as a "loop" which will conform to tempo variences....I thought my problem was that I had to only bounce as original rather than a modified file because I'd done it before with a mix of the two and only some would import as "loops" that could vary their tempo....well today I tried again, and selected them all as original and none would let me mark the loop box when trying to import....so I tried bouncing one as the modified version and it too wouldn't import as a loop.....I'm confused as to what I'd originally done to get at least some of the samples to import the way I want....any suggestions as to what I'm missing?
thanks

OK....thanks very much....Now I'm getting somewhere....It has to do with the set up in Elastik where I'm bringing in some samples at different tempos and if they keep their original tempo, they don't conform to the tempo of the others....(if that makes any sense<G>)
You're about the most helpful person on this forum Hangtime....
thanks again

  • How do I import multiple images into single individual cells?

    Hi folks,
    I'm new to the Mac (yeah!) and imagine there just has to be a way to import a bunch of images into separate cells in Mac "Numbers" ... am I right?
    Essentially what I'd like to do is a file folder with 600 images in it, and import those directly into Mac Numbers with one picture being assigned to it's own cell. So if below were a spreadsheet it would look like this:

    D,
    I guess you're taking another shot at getting a response. You risk getting parallel discussions going with the same content.
    What you are contemplating seems logical enough, but I think you will find that it is impractical in Numbers. Given the size of photograph files these days, you will choke Numbers in short order. You will have to be careful that you embed only photos large enough to be of use/viewable, and keep your full-sized copies elsewhere. You might find that an Apple Script can do the import for you, but otherwise it's drag and drop from the Media Browser.

  • Why do my audio files import as loops?

    Hi peeps.
    Wondering if someone could help clear this one up.
    Whenever i import/drag in audio files they import as loops with a little up/down arrow on the top left of the region.
    This makes it very tricky to do edits as i frequently click on the arrows by mistake. It comes up with a message saying 'No related loops found'.
    My only way around this is to convert them to new audio files one by one.
    Any ideas what i could do to stop this happening?
    Thanks!

    The little double arrows indicate a feature called "Loop Family". You can see that in the Loop Browser where you have a few loops with the same name ending with consecutive numbers (01, 02, 03, etc.). These are usually variations of the same loop. When you build a song with those loops and play around with it, you can click on that arrowon the Audio Region on the Track Lane  (once you dragged a loop to your Project) and select a different loop from that "family" without manually deleting it from the Track Lane and dragging another loop onto it. It makes for a quick workflow.
    Now when you have regular Audio FIles (also non-Apple Loops) that have the same name followed by the incremental numbers and import them into your project, Logic will add those arrows to the Region Header, thinking they belong to the same family. I'm not sure if this is intentially or a bug in Logic because it doesn't work consistently.
    Hope that helps

  • Can I import a song into the garage band app and edit it?

    I'm a music teacher and I'm trying to cut out a few verses in a song for my students. How do I import a song into the garbage app?

    How do I import a song into the garbage app?
    "garbage app"?  Surely you're joking
    To use a song in GarageBand on your iPad, sync it from a computer using iTunes to the iPad, so the song will be in the Music.app.    All songs in the Music.appp can be added to a GarageBand project as loops, using the Loop Browser.

  • How to import .exe files into Captivate

    I have some Flash .exe files that I want to import into
    Captivate so I can combine the files....and also so I can choose
    the properties for the files (for example, either to run on a loop
    or also to take to a website upon completion).
    So, how do I import .exe files into Captivate?

    Hi Steve
    Unless you can find some sort of a converter out on the web,
    I think you are out of luck. I am aware of the SoThink SWF
    decompiler (

    will.

  • Ability to Import Spreadsheet Data into Table in Apps added Anytime Soon??

    I love HTMLDB so much, and I thought I would never find anything it couldn't do, but I have run headlong into a problem that I've discovered many users have.
    The Import Spreadsheet Data into Table functionality available in Data Workshop is such a treasure, and I was hoping with all of my heart that such functionality would be available for use inside the User Applications in HTMLDB 2.0. Alas, it is not so.
    I know some brave folks have come up with work-arounds for this lack, and I applaud them. However, none of those will work for the situation I am faced with. I am about to strike out into the no-man's-land of trying to create my own PL/SQL csv file parsing function. Please wish me luck. Also, could you please tell me if this functionality is going to be included anytime soon?

    Well I looked at the FLOWS_020000.WWV_FLOW_LOAD_DATA.LOAD_CSV_DATA procedure
    From what I can gather(considering nobody cant look at the actual procedural code):
    P_FILE_ID seems to be file id you find in FLOWS_FILES.WWV_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$
    P_CNAMES seems to be the column names of table you are loading into
    P_UPLOAD seems to be the names of field from file you are loading
    P_SCHEMA seems to be the schema that contains table where data will be loaded
    P_TABLE seems to be table that you load data into
    P_DATA_TYPE seems to be the datatypes from file to be loaded
    P_DATA_FORMAT not sure
    P_PARSED_DATA_FORMAT not sure
    P_SEPARATOR seems to be the field seperator from file
    P_ENCLOSED_BY seems to be what fields will be enclosed with
    P_FIRST_ROW_IS_COL_NAME seems to be to tell whether or not first row contains column headings
    P_LOAD_TO not sure
    P_CURRENCY seems to be the currency symbol that comes from file
    P_NUMERIC_CHARS not sure
    P_CHARSET not sure
    P_LOAD_ID not sure
    Essentially you could run this process provided you get all the kinks worked out(that is what all the parameters mean/are expected)...
    ...or..
    you write your own process:
    - that reads the blob/clob content line by line
    declare
    n number;
    buffer varchar2(4000);
    begin
    (do some sort of loop until end of length of lob)
    n := dbms_lob.instr( "your lob", ',',"next comma position" );
    if ( nvl(n,0) > 0 )
    then
    buffer := dbms_lob.read( p_lob, "amount of lob length to read", n);
    end if;
    end;
    The above code with some tweaking will read the lob. However you still will have to add a piece that creates sql insert statement. One of the pitfalls I see with custom code is the fact that if you end up with huge lob string you will run into problem of creating sql insert statement. Not the actual statement but assigning the statement to a variable due to datatype lengths.
    Hopefully this will help you more in the right direction!

  • Importing 30 tables into one SQL Table (Help Required)

    Dear Experts,
    I am new in SQL server, actually i need to gather 30 different excel file in one sql server table and i have imported all excel file in different databases, all tables have 186 different columns and datatypes. I couldnt change data type while conversion.
    Now all columns have different data type which are occupying extra space in my database.
    Now the problem is that i need to convert all databases into one database or table. Although i have created a table but i dont have idea how to import all table into one table  and defining datatype in new table while importing the old tables.
    Please help me in this matter or if any body has skype or any other chatting id please do let me know so that i may explain it better.
    Thanking you in advance.
    Best Regards,

    There are several things you can try.  If you have SSIS, take a look at this.
    http://www.singhvikash.in/2013/06/ssis-how-to-load-multiple-excel-files.html
    https://www.simple-talk.com/sql/ssis/importing-excel-data-into-sql-server-via-ssis-questions-you-were-too-shy-to-ask/
    Also, if your files have virtually the same name, like files with dates in the name, you can loop through files in your folder, and increment the loop with each run through.
    DECLARE @intFlag
    INT
    SET @intFlag
    = 1
    WHILE (@intFlag
    <=30)
    BEGIN
    PRINT @intFlag
    declare @fullpath1
    varchar(1000)
    select @fullpath1
    = '''\\path to your files\'
    + convert(varchar,
    getdate()- @intFlag
    , 112)
    + '_your-text-file-name.txt'''
    declare @cmd1
    nvarchar(1000)
    select @cmd1
    = 'bulk insert [dbo].[your-table-name] from '
    + @fullpath1 +
    ' with (FIELDTERMINATOR = ''\t'', FIRSTROW = 2, ROWTERMINATOR=''0x0a'')'
    exec (@cmd1)
    SET @intFlag
    = @intFlag + 1
    END
    GO
    Knowledge is the only thing that I can give you, and still retain, and we are both better off for it.

    There is no macro feature in Numbers.
    The only way to code what you wish would be to use AppleScript if Numbers '08 was scriptable.
    As it's not, you must do the job by hand or switch to Numbers '09 which is scriptable.

  • Unable to import .mp4/.ts into Premiere Elements 3.0

    I've captured footage from my PlayStation 3 using this device: http://gamerzone.avermedia.com/game_capture/live_gamer_portable
    The device saves the footage in a .ts file.
    I've tried to get information on the file using a program. If there's a better way to do it, please let me know:
    When I try to import the file into Premiere Elements 3.0, I get an error message: "File format not supported/One of the necessary components may not have been installed."
    I've converted the file into an mp4 format with this program: http://ftp2.avermedia.com/C875/C875_utility_v1.0.0.9_20131029.zip
    Information on the file:
    But this did not solve the problem.
    Ideally, I would like to avoid converting the video file, if that would take up a lot of time. If I can just upgrade Premiere Elements, that would be the most ideal solution.
    Please let me know if any additional information is needed.

    Akvod
    I am able to import a .ts file into Premiere Elements 10, 11, and 12 Windows 7 64 bit.
    But, not so, for Premiere Elements 4, 7, 8, and 9.
    And, the reason why your .mp4 conversion did not work would be in accord with the fact that you used AVCHD as the video compression, and AVCHD video compression was not supported by Premiere Elements until version 7.
    If you do decide to move to version 12, please note that there is a dramatic difference in workspace between 3 and 12. So, go the free tryout of 12 before any purchase.
    You could try to convert the .ts to H.264.mp4 and not AVCHD (MPEG4 AVC/H.264).mp4 and see if that works for you.

  • How to Import XML file into SAP B1

    Dear All,
    I have a scenario like,
    I am receiving a XML file from a 3rd party application for the daily Creation,Update of Item Master,BP Master, Marketing Documents. I want to import this file into SAP B1 through its approp objects. I understand DTW has limitation in its file types (Semicolo,Tab,Comma,ODBC). How do i do this ? Please guide me.
    Thanks,
    Thanga Raj K

    Hy folks,
    I´m frim Brasil and I've been studying the tool EFM (Eletronic File Manager) to learn more about it!
    There I saw that we can extract to XML "any" infomation from the database we want, mainly through the GEP.
    However, as I've seen, this Add-On can not import any XML file into SBO, unless for the BFP wich can be imported in conjunction with the BTHF Add-on.
    So I ask: how is it possible to import XML data into SBO database? Is it possible to be done through the EFM? or  it´s really necessary to write a code specifically to do that?
    Besides, I know that de B1iSN fit to this necessity... but when I tried to use it, by the custom "object" for BP, for example, there are some data wich the mapping conteined in this custom "process" that can not be imported... I tried to understand how to map those other fields not imported by the custom but this has been dificult to me as I am a implementation consultant focused in administrative process not on development...
    Could you please help me with this subject!
    Thanks a lot,
    Denis

  • I have been trying to import VHS video into iMovie via a Hollywood Dazzle bridge.  Did not have trouble until I upgraded to mavericks.  I have a mac book pro, 10.9.1, iMovie 10.0.2.  Says it is recording, but when I go to check, it says the file is empty.

    I have been trying import VHS video into iMovie via a Hollywood Dazzle bridge.  I have been successful doing this in the past, but now it is not working.  I have a mac book pro, 10.9.1, (mavericks), iMovie 10.0.2.  Everything in iMovie looks like it is working.  It reads "recording" in the upper left hand corner of the pane while the video is playing.  When I stop the process to check on my clip it says that the file is empty.  The only thing that has changed since I did it successfully is that I upgraded to mavericks from whatever I had previously.  My system is about one year old.  Any suggestions?

    Hey, Clinton,
         Thanks for your help!  I was able to go to iMovie 9.0.9 and import video.  I was still curious as to why it didn't work in version 10.0.2, so I contacted Apple tech support.  They were't sure at first as to why it wouldn't work, so they had me delete iMovie 10.0.2 and then re-install it just to see if something had gone wrong when it upgraded.  That didn't change anything.  In the end, they determined that 10.0.2 doesn't support the Hollywood Dazzle DV bridge.  But I have a workaround path from them that I will share so that it's possible to import to 9.0.9, then move it to 10.0.2.
         1.  Open iMovie 9 (finder/applications/iMovie 9.0.9
         2.  Import from Dazzle Bridge to iMovie 9, note which event you are importing the clips into
         3.  Close iMovie 9
         4.  Open iMovie 10 (probably in the dock)
         5.  File/Import Media...navigate to home(this was my name, on the left side of iMovie, under Favorites)/Movies/iMovie events.  Find the event folder that contains your Dazzle clips (tip-try sorting by date modified to look at recent events.)
         6.  Select the clips and import.  Click the blue "Import Selected" button on the bottom right.
    You may get a message that some files cannot be imported.  Click continue import.  It's a little glitchy.  It imports your clip, and also makes a copy of it, too.  On the copy, the audio is normal, but the video is choppy.  In any case, you would delete the copy, anyway.
    Hope this additional information helps somebody else.  Thanks again, Clinton for helping me!
