Importing lookup values for Z tables thru FTP connections running MDMGX

When executing MDMGX and importing into lookup tables of MDM thru FTP connection on MDM Server it is working fine with defined tables,
But when we want to get the data into Z tables thru FTP connection on MDMserver executing MDMGX,how is it possible
I have added the Ztables extraction in MDMGX txt file.

Hi Shifali,
If I have got your question correct.
The MDM Generic Extractor Program(MDMGX) is used to extract the ECC Checktable data out form MDM and place it either in to the MDM FTP enabled ready folder or the Local desktop form where it can be imported into MDM Repository.
If you want to send data out form MDM to ECC system.you need to syndicate the master data from MDM using the MDM syndicator in the XML format using the std XSD schema.
This XML data is then converted in to idoc by PI/XI an posted to ECC Tables.
You can simillarly use the MDM_CLNT_EXTR ie the MDM client extractor program to work with the main table data instead of checktable on similar lines.
These two transaction work with the standard ECC tables extraction.
You can refer the below links on the same:

  • ABAP for Super Dumps: Import- & Export-Parameter for a Table in a FM

    Hello ABAP Profs,
    sorry I am BW.
    <b>Import- & Export-Parameter for a Table in and out of an Function Modul.</b>
    I want to import a table into a Function Module, change it and export it again.
    How do I have to define the Import- and Export- Parameters in the FM ?
    The table looks looks this:
    DATA: zvpshub_tab TYPE SORTED TABLE OF /bic/pzvpshub WITH UNIQUE KEY
    /bic/zvpshub objvers /bic/zvpsoursy INITIAL SIZE 0.
    Thanks a lot
    Martin Sautter

    Hi Clemens,
    <u>in SE11</u> I defined a datatype of Type Structure: ZVPSHUB_ROW.
    <u>in SE11</u> I defiend a datatype of Type Tabletype: ZVPSHUB_TAB,
    bases on Rowtype ZVPSHUB_ROW.
    <u>in SE 80</u> I creates an FM with a CHANGEING Parameter referencing ZVPSHUB_TAB:
    FUNCTION ZVP_SHUB_TAB_LOAD.
    ""Lokale Schnittstelle:
    *"  CHANGING
    *"     VALUE(SHUB_TAB) TYPE  ZVPSHUB_TAB
    <u>in RSA1</u> in BW in the Startroutine of the Upload Rules in defined the table:
    DATA:shub_tab          TYPE zvpshub_tab.
    <u>in RSA1</u> in BW in the Startroutine of the Upload Rules in defined the table:
    DATA:shub_tab          TYPE zvpshub_tab.
    <u>in RSA1</u> in BW in the Startroutine i called the FM
    CALL FUNCTION 'ZVP_SHUB_TAB_LOAD'
        CHANGING
          shub_tab = shub_tab.
    and it works ..

  • Import parameter value for FM RH_OM_ATTRIBUTES_READ

    Hello SRM Gurus
    What is the import parameters values for the function module RH_OM_ATTRIBUTES_READ to read Org.Structure parameter values in SRM 7.0 system?
    Is below parameter value is correct?
    PLVAR = u201801u2019
    OTYPE =u2019Ou2019
    OBJID = userid
    SCENARIO = u2018BBPu2019
    SELDATE = SY-datum
    I am not able to  read any data.
    Kindly share your experience.
    Thanks.
    Preethi.

    Hi
    Under Object Type(OTYPE) you are entering as "O" - means Org Unit
    So you need  to enter Org Unit under Object ID (OBJID) and not the user Id
    Hope this is clear to you now

  • How to get lookup value for a lookup_type and pass as a parameter in OAF

    Hi,
    I have requirement wherein I have to enable the "Add Attachment" Button only for a particular deliverable name.
    Steps I followed
    1) I have extended the corresponding Controller class.
    2) Sting str1="XYZ";
    3) Getting the attachment table bean and the deliverable name thru Data Mappings as Attachment is the built-in funtionality in OAF.
    4)Checking if the deliverable name whether it is equal to str1 or not
    Case1: If the deliverable name is not equal to str1 then I am placing the insertallowed as BOOLEAN.FALSE
    Case2:If not it will be enabled.
    5)The functionality as per the requirement is working fine.
    6)Here for str1 I have hardcoded the value initially but I need to take up the value from a lookup created for this value because may be in future if for more than one value the "Add Attachment" Button has to enabled they it will be easy to add in the look up only. No need to change the controller class.
    7) So please let me know the steps in getting the value from a lookup and have to pass the lookup values (Here str1--"XYZ","ABC","DEF") into the extended Controller Class.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Regards,
    Ramya

    Ramya,
    Here for str1 I have hardcoded the value initially but I need to take up the value from a lookup created for this value because may be in future if for more than one value the "Add Attachment" Button has to enabled they it will be easy to add in the look up only. • How to get all minimum values for a table of unique records?

    I need to get the list of minimum value records for a table which has the below structure and data
    create table emp (name varchar2(50),org varchar2(50),desig varchar2(50),salary number(10),year number(10));
    insert into emp (name,org,desig,salary,year) values ('emp1','org1','mgr',3000,2005);
    insert into emp (name,org,desig,salary,year) values ('emp1','org1','mgr',4000,2007);
    insert into emp (name,org,desig,salary,year) values ('emp1','org1','mgr',7000,2007);

    AND min_query.salary = e.salary
    group by (e.name,e.org,e.desig);With the above query i can get the least value year where the emp has maximum salary. It will return only one record. But i want to all the records which are minimum compare to the max year value
    Required output

  • Trigger how to get new and old value for nested table column?

    Hi,
    I have created a nested table based on the following details:
    CREATE TYPE typ_item AS OBJECT --create object
    (prodid NUMBER(5),
    price NUMBER(7,2) )
    CREATE TYPE typ_item_nst -- define nested table type
    AS TABLE OF typ_item
    CREATE TABLE pOrder ( -- create database table
    ordid NUMBER(5),
    supplier NUMBER(5),
    requester NUMBER(4),
    ordered DATE,
    items typ_item_nst)
    NESTED TABLE items STORE AS item_stor_tab
    INSERT INTO pOrder
    VALUES (800, 80, 8000, sysdate,
    typ_item_nst (typ_item (88, 888)));
    Now I would like to create a trigger on table pOrder for after insert or update or delete
    and I would like to track the new and old value for the columns inside nested table.
    Can anybody direct me how to do it?
    I would like to know the sytax for it like:
    declare
    x number;
    begin
    x := :new.nestedtablecolumn;--how to get the new and old value from nested table columns
    end;
    Hope my question is clear.
    Thanks,
    Lavan

    Hi,
    Try like this:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER PORDER_I
    BEFORE INSERT
    ON PORDER
    REFERENCING OLD AS old NEW AS new
    FOR EACH ROW
    DECLARE
      items_new typ_item_nst;
      ordid_NEW NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    FOR i IN :new.items.FIRST .. :new.items.LAST LOOP -- For first to last element
      DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(':new.items(' || I || ').prodid: ' || :new.items(I).prodid );
      DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(':new.items(' || I || ').price:  ' || :new.items(I).price );
    END LOOP;
    END;Regards,

  • Fastest way to import the data for big tables

    Hi friends,
    I have recently joined a billing product set up team for TELECOM giant.As part of the setup process /initial testing we need to put huge data (nearly 1.5 billion records/~200 GB size of data) in some tables. Currently i am using impdp for importing .It takes a lot of time (nearly >9 hours for loading this data).
    I have tried the below ways to import the data(All these tables are partitioned):
    1. Normal impdp (single thread i.e. parallel=1): This one takes a lot of time (>24 hours).
    2. Normal impdp but partition-wise .This one is completed in relatively less amout of time compared to the 1st method.
    3. Drop drop the indexes ,do inset append from another schema in same instance which has the data and then recreate the indexes ( total process takes ~9 hours)
    My questions to all:
    1.Is there any other way/trick in the book which I can try to put the data in less amount of time
    2.What i have observed that even if I give parallel=8 or any number ,sometimes parallel workers are spawned and sometimes not. Can someone educate me why ?
    3.How can i come to know (before running the impdp ) that my parallel clause is going to spawn the parallel workers or not. I have searched on this subject but no success as to how I will come to know this.
    I dont know what strategy to follow ,because this is a involved and repetitive task for me. Due to the above task I am not able to concentrate on other DBA tasks due to this which come to me.
    Cheers,
    Kunwar

    assuming you have a table with 3 indexes, then create a script for each index (reblace index_name_n with your index name) and start them at the same time, after the import of the table is completed
    DUMPFILE=<DUMPFILE> or NETWORK_LINK=<DBLINK>
    DIRECTORY=DATA_PUMP_DIR
    LOGFILE=<IMP_INDEX_NAME_n>
    CONTENT=ALL
    PARALLEL=1
    JOB_NAME=IMP_<INDEX_NAME_n>
    INCLUDE=TABLE_EXPORT/TABLE/INDEX:"IN('<INDEX_NAME_n>')"
    TABLES=<SCHEMA>.<TABLE>change following settings during import:
    increase pga_aggregate_target
    increase db_writer_processes
    db_block_checking=false
    db_block_checksum=false
    set undo and temp ts to autoextend
    set noarchivelogmode
    create 4GB redo logs

  • How to maintain default values for custom table fields --  Urgent

    Hi all,
    I've a requirement wherein i need to create a Z table (with maintainence view) in which i'll have date and time as two of its field which should have current date and current time as default value. Can somebody suggest as how am i to maintain the date and time fields defaulting to current date and current time.
    Incase if someone is unable to intrepret what i'm trying to say, please query me, i'll elaborate it further.
    Please give in your quick inputs which is highly valuable to me and also will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vaishnavi Varadarajan

    We have a following custom table which contains the fields “Date on which record was created” and “Name of the person who created the object”. We would like to have these to be filled up with SY-DATUM and SY-UNAME respectively.
    Using the events, we can achieve this.
    Please refer the following link:
    http://abapliveinfo.blogspot.com/2007/12/events-in-table-maintenance-in-sap.html
    Also,
    Write a form routine in table maintanance generator.
    1. SE11 > utilities > table maintenance generator
    2. environment > modification > event
    define the event and form routine to make use of the tigger. in the form routine define an object for the class and call the relevant method.
    Or u can do it as:
    Table maintenance generator is basically used to do table operations like (insert, delete, modify...).
    if you create table maintenance for your table it will build a module pool program, by using you do the above operations.
    below is the procedure to create table maintenance generator.
    1) Create one function group.
    2) after activating your Ztable, choose 'Utilities'----> 'Table maintenance genrator'.
    3) then give the authorization group and function group created abobe in the next screen.
    4) Then choose the "create" button in your application tool bar, which will creates the module pool program.
    5) then create one Tcode by chosing "Transaction with parameters( parameter transaction)".
    6) in transaction field give "SM30", select the check box "Skip initial screen".
    7) in the below of that screen you can find the "Default values" frame.
    8) there under the "name of screen field" select the "View name' and 'update".
    9) in value column against to "view name" give you table name, and against to "Update" put 'X' in capital letters.
    save it then you can straight away use this newly created Tcode to maintain your table.
    Note:- 1) make the modification while saving the data into your table using this newly generated program to carry out your validation (even though it looks like standard program; no need to enter the access key).
    2) if you do any changes to your table and press the activate button automatically the table maintenace generator will be goes off, you need to create this again.
    cheers,

    [nQSError: 15003] Missing most detailed table for dimension tables: [D_DETAILS,D_EXECUTION_PLAN,D_TASK].
    [nQSError: 15001] Could not load navigation space for subject area DAC Measures.
    I am also attaching my Business Model layer for easy understanding. I have a fact table and several Dimension table. I got this error only after creating the following hierarchies:
    Execution Plan -> Tasks -> Details
    Start Date Time Hierarchy
    End Date Time Hierarchy
    Is there a solution for this problem? Thanks in advance!

    Yes ! My Task Hierarchy has 3 dimension tables that form a hierarchy :Execution Plan -> Tasks -> Detail
    All the 3 levels in the hierarchy are 3 different dimension tables.

  • I have to insert lookup values into parent table remaining items in chiled table can you please any one explain the logic

    The logic is:
    1. Create any new lookup table rows that may be needed
    2. Create new data rows that reference the lookup table
    All you did was post a buch of code. You didn't post ANYTHING that shows how you executed that code or what the result was.
    You need to SHOW US (not tell us):
    1. WHAT you do
    2. HOW you do it
    3. WHAT results you get
    4. WHAT results you expected to get
    The code you posted has some SERIOUS ISSUES. Here are just three of them
    1. You are using BULK COLLECT without a LIMIT clause
    2. You are using unnecessary IF . . .COUNT statements to test collections for values. The FOR clause will simply NOT execute if the collection is empty so the IF statements add unnecessary clutter.
    3. The first loop iterates a collection but sets a single SCALAR value - making that loop totally USELESS
    LOOP
            IF v_from < tbl_req_start_date(i) THEN
              v_from := tbl_req_start_date(i);
              print_log( 'Tabel Req StartDate : '||tbl_req_start_date(i));
              print_log( 'In the Loop VFrom : '||v_from);
            END IF;
          END LOOP;
    That checks EVERY row in the collection and appears to save the MAX value of 'tbl_req_state_date' into the 'v_from' variable.
    What is the point of that?

  • How to define a standard value for a table field

    Hi All,
    I have a date field in a database table, for that while maintaining if we don't give any value it should get the present date.  How can we do this.

    Hi,
    This functionality is known to be very important and is a key part of the next major release of the JRC planned for the first half of 2008.

  • How to import/export value for ekko-netwr

    Hi friends,
    amount value 'ekko-netwr'  from incude LV61AA43 should pass to include LV61AA43 for this iam using import/export paramters but there is no parameter id for netwr . How can i pass this amout to this rountine.
    Thank u ,
    prasad.

    hi,
    A simple example of ABAP memory is using the EXPORT/IMPORT statements.
    Here in this program, I get the data, export it to memory,
    clear out the internal table in my progam, then reimport the data into it and write out the data.
    You probably wounldn't do this in a normal program,
    but this is how you can pass data from program a to program b when A Submits program B.
    report zxy_0002 .
    data: it001 type table of t001 with header line.
    select * into table it001 from t001.
    export it001 = it001 to memory id 'ZXY_TEST'.
    clear it001. refresh it001.
    import it001 = it001 from memory id 'ZXY_TEST'.
    loop at it001.
    write:/ it001-bukrs, it001-butxt.
    endloop.
    SAP Memory
    SAP memory is a memory area to which all main sessions within a SAPgui have access.
    You can use SAP memory either to pass data from one program to another within a session,
    or to pass data from one session to another.
    Application programs that use SAP memory must do so using SPA/GPA parameters (also known as SET/GET parameters).
    These parameters can be set either for a particular user
    or for a particular program using the SET PARAMETER statement.
    Other ABAP programs can then retrieve the set parameters using the GET PARAMETER statement.
    The most frequent use of SPA/GPA parameters is to fill input fields on screens
    ABAP/4 Memory
    ABAP memory is a memory area that all ABAP programs within the same internal session can access
    using the EXPORT and IMPORT statements.
    Data within this area remains intact during a whole sequence of program calls. To pass data
    to a program which you are calling,
    the data needs to be placed in ABAP memory before the call is made.
    The internal session of the called program then replaces that of the calling program.
    The program called can then read from the ABAP memory.
    If control is then returned to the program which made the initial call, the same process operates in reverse.
    SAP memory
    The SAP memory, otherwise known as the global memory,
    is available to a user during the entire duration of a terminal session.
    Its contents are retained across transaction boundaries as well as external and internal sessions.
    The SET PARAMETER and GET PARAMETER statements allow you to write to, or read from, the SAP memory.
    ABAP/4 memory
    The contents of the ABAP/4 memory are retained only during the lifetime of an external session
    (see also Organization of Modularization Units).
    You can retain or pass data across internal sessions.
    The EXPORT TO MEMORY and IMPORT FROM MEMORY statements allow you to write data to, or read data from, the ABAP memory.

  • Create a value for Decision table with gc_option_not_initial.

    Dear Expert,
    I am filling in a decision table with coding. I load an excel file, create a range for eatch value with the folling method:
       cl_fdt_convenience=>create_simple_range( EXPORTING iv_application_id = lv_application_id
                                                                                  iv_option = if_fdt_range=>gc_option_equal
                                                                                  iv_test_parameter = lv_id
                                                                                  iv_low = lv_value
                                                                                  iv_activate = abap_false
                                                                        IMPORTING ev_range_id = ls_table_data-expression_id ).
                INSERT ls_table_data INTO TABLE lts_table_data.
                CLEAR  ls_table_data-expression_id.
    But the following code is not working:
       cl_fdt_convenience=>create_simple_range( EXPORTING iv_application_id = lv_application_id
                                                                                  iv_option = if_fdt_range=>gc_option_not_initial
                                                                                  iv_test_parameter = lv_id
                                                                                  iv_activate = abap_false
                                                                        IMPORTING ev_range_id = ls_table_data-expression_id ).
                INSERT ls_table_data INTO TABLE lts_table_data.
                CLEAR  ls_table_data-expression_id.
    What is wrong?
    How to create than a range for a decision table cell with option: 'not initial'?
    Thank you very much in advance?
    Best regards
    Ahmed

    I found the same problem in the comments of this post Filtering Rules using SAP HANA Decision Table.
    A possible solution is to implement a solution directly in SQLScript. Hints can be found in Filtering Rules using SAP HANA Decision Table

  • Default value for a table field?

    Hi,
    I have a table which contains the fields USER_NAME and DATE_CHANGED_AT.
    here's what i want to do:
    When we use se16 to enter data into the table, i want these fields to have default values .
    user_name should contain the currently logged in user.
    date_changed_at should contain todays date.
    The aim is to eventually have these fields contain the person who last changed the row and the date when it was changed.
    It doesnt matter if se16 doesnt contain it and we have a way of defaulting these values thru the table creation process.
    something similar to the mandt field. When we create the table data, MANDT field is pre-populated.
    Any thoughts?
    Regards
    Vandana

    Entering data using SE16 is not a good practice .
    YOu have to use table maintenance generator to maintable the table entries.
    This also provides with options to write your own code to meet requirements like this.
