Importing Opportunities and Sales Stage

Hi,
As part of our rolling out CRM to a new department we want to import some data from the current system that they use.
The problem is that in our current model we use the "# Days in Stage" analytic value for some of our reports and calculations. I assume any data imported today will show give a value of 1 to this field tomorrow. Is it possible to somehow populate/modify the audit trail (i think this is what that report uses) in our initial import to reflect the true days old value?
I know it would be easy to create some new field and use a Pre(salesstage)<>(salesstage) workflow to timestamp it, but we're trying to avoid customising too much.

Hi,
I think this information is calculated and stored in the analytics database of CRMOD, @ the end of every day. There is a transformation / calculation process to pull the data from CRMOD and push to analytics DB end of every day. I don't think it comes from standard audit tables and as you know we don't have a direct way to access these analytics fields through other means. May be you have to think about other workarounds

    Have you tried with VBAP where sale order details at item level would be stored.
    Moreover, to my knowledge, there won't be any changes as for as pricing is concerned at sale order level but there is at billing level.  Normally, any price increase / decrease would reflect in billing.  So why dont you to table join through SQVI VBAP (for sale order details) and VBRP (for billing details) so that you can compare the selling price in sale order with billing.

  • Report on No of Opportunities in sales Stage

    Hi All, I have a requirement to display following report:
    Report should have 5 coloum 1) Current Sales Stage of Opportunity 2) No of opportunities which are in current stage from 3 months 3 ) No of opportunities which are in current stage from 6 months 4)No of opportunities which are in current stage from 9 months 5) No of opportunities which are in current stage from 12 months.
    I tried to do this using Case IF fnction but not unable to do same. Can you please help me to achive this requirement.

    Hello,
    I have built several reports like yours using FILTER function instead of CASE IF.
    example: I wanted to filter number of customers which are contact telephone number populated
    FILTER("Account Metrics"."# of Accounts" USING ("- Primary Contact"."Primary Contact Work Phone #" IS NULL)).
    So in your case you have to filter the number of opportunities by date range you need.

  • LookupName Function and Sales Stage

    Hi All,
    I was wondering whether the LookupName function is possible with the Sales Stage field. I know this field is OOB and doesn't behave as a picklist but thought I would ask anyway.
    I'll be writing a workflow and ideally I don't want to translate "Closed/Won" to multiple languages, e.g:
    ([<SalesStage>] = "Closed/Won" OR [<SalesStage>] = "Clôturée/Gagnée")
    I would like to use something like:
    LookupName("SALES_STAGE_FIELD", "Closed/Won")='Closed/Won'
    I'm not sure what the name of the Sales Stage field would be either, any ideas if this is possible?

    Another thought I had was to trigger the worflow based on Sales Stage Id, but this doesn't seem to work. My trigger event would be "When modified record is saved" as it would need to trigger an email. However it doesn't seem to work, I assume this is because Sales Stage Id is assigned when the record is saved and after the workflow trigger evaluates the opportunity?
    Any other ideas?

  • Week-by-Week Sales Stage Reporting

    Hi,
    We're trying to have a week by week report where the Opportunities have a Sales Stage comparison by week. Ideally, we'd like two columns for sales stage such as "Sales Stage Previous Week" and "Sales Stage Current Week". I've tried various SQL expressions, etc and nothing has seemed to work correctly. I was looking through some notes and thought about maybe using Combined Reports with historical and real-time information. I don't even know if this approach is appropriate..
    We're really at a roadblock at the moment. If anyone has any additional suggestions, they would be appreciated.

    Below are two tables of what we'd like to have on our weekly comparison. Either one would work. As you can see, it's a comparison between sales stage and Revenue for each Opportunity. It shows that for Opp A, Revenue this week and last week is the same, but Sales Stage differs. For Opp B, Revenue has increased by $500, 000, but the sales stage is still the same.
    I don't know what capabilities analytics has, but this would be very useful for us. Any guidance would be great!

  • PPM and "Analysis Stage" value

    When we run PPM , the "Analysis Stage" has a value . Is the Value stored for each  opportunities ? If yes where the value is store , if not what is the code (RFC or other,,) SAP use  to retrieve all the PPM data and in specially the "Analysis Stage"
    We know the configuration is in view:   CRMV_CYCPHASE

    The value is calculated direcly from opportunities. Which opportunities go to which analysis stage is set in customazing under spro>crm>transactions>settings for opportunities>define sales cycle and sales stages>assign sales stages to sales cycle. There you loing sales stage with analysis stage.
    Andanalysis stages are defined in spro>crm>transactions>settings for opportunities>define sales cycle and sales stages>define analysis stages.

  • Migration 11.5.9 = 12.0.4 - Sales Stages

    Hi,
    currently we migrate our Sales from 11.5.9 (Oracle Sales Online) to Oracle Sales (12.0.4).
    We also checked and setup sales stages.
    Our problem: In all migrated opportunities the sales stages does not displayed. If we want to create a new opportunity, the sales stages LOV-Box is empty. Why? It is required to run any concurrent program?

    Hi,
    Can anyone explain me what is the relation between sales category and sales stage while creating sales process and how to use different sales process.

    Yes the sales process used is determined by the oppty type or user role, an oppty can only use one sales process at a point in time.
    Sales category is a grouping capability for reporting, a couple of scenarios are;
    1) as mentioned before, if you have multiple sales processes and want to bring them to a common higher level common view.
    2) You need an alternate reporting structure/name
    eg multiple divisions manage their own pipeline and sales process. But head-office want to see a consolidated pipeline with common sales stages - sales category facilitates consolidation of the pipeline to the corporate standard. Also you may have a single sales process, which sales management use, but the CFO wants to see an aggregate view of sales processes in different buckets, sales category can be used for that.
    Obviously sales process is the lowest level (without the use of custom fields), and sales category is only available to aggregate the sales process, ie its hierarchical.

    We need to import the attached into SAP as Sales Opportunities and related Activities.
    I believe the mappings are roughly as follows:

    To link Sales Opportunities with Activities, you need to assign OCLG.parentType = 97 and OCLG.parentID=OOPR.OpprId

  • Reporting / Sales Stages and Sales Processus

    Hello,
    I have 2 Sales Processus.
    In each Sales Processus I have the same name for the Sales Stage ("Closed/Won").
    When I created a simple report showing the Sales Stage and the Name of the opportunity,I have 2 blocks with the 2 items "Closed/Won".
    How could I manage to have only 1 block "Closed/Won" ?

    ML, in addition to Sales Stage and Opportunity Name bring in Sales Process Name. Now you should be able to filter on the correct sales process.

  • Sales Opportunities and Follow Up Activities

    Hi Experts.
    We have a customer who uses Sales Opportunities and Activities extensively.
    What they are finding is that when they create a follow up Activity from an Activity linked to a Sales Opportunity, the fields Source Object Type and Source Object No. are not always populated with Sales Opportunity and the Sales Opportunity number.  This data is showing on the original Activity.
    Also, when you access Related Activities from the Sales Opportunity, the follow up Activity is not always show.
    I would like to be able to send you some screen dumps of this.
    Any suggestions?

    You are asking almost the entire configuration of MM/SD/FI which is not possible.  Please describe your process where you need to answer for the following:-
    a)  whether the import material would be sold to domestic customer
    b)  whether the import material would further be processed in a plant
    c)  whether the import material would be cleared at domestic customs
    For each and every above question, you need to follow a different configuration in SAP.  Also first search the forum based on your current scenario and wherever you are unable to proceed further, please post that issue only instead asking for entire configuration.

  • How to do reconciliation for Accounts and Contacts import job in sales cloud

    We have imported Accounts and Contacts data from Siebel CRM to Sales Cloud using File based import. Looking at the log file we noticed that data successfully imported into sales cloud. Now we want to reconcile it at database level by doing query to make sure that data got correctly populated into respective table and columns.
      Could you pls let us know the table name for contact entity where all the related data along with primay field resides so we can verify the correctness of data that got imported.

    Try looking in RSA7 and see if there are transactions posted there.  If so, maybe you did not use the right parameters in RSA3.  Make sure you select Update Mode = D and you select the right Target system.

    Ok, I need help!! I am importing Opportunities from a csv file. Two files with exactly the same format are imported. One imports ok, the other one says it has an unexpected error and fails all records. What am I missing??? Thanks to any help!

    Check to see if you have any field validations on any of the fields in the import file.
    Fields can also be required based on Sales Stage.

    I always use "Opportunity-Product History" for my pipeline reports. In this subject area "Product Revenue" is available for Opportunities which are "Closed/Lost". I would log this as a bug with Oracle as it clearly should not set the Product Revenue to 0 in the Product History subject area.
    In this subject area I can create reports and trace back Opportunity Revenue and Product Revenue. I have multiple pipeline reports running at both levels which are accurate for mutiple deals. If you do decide to use this subject area beware of the following:
    - Dont use the Sales Stage or Probability Successs % at Product level as it does not update as a user steps through the sales stages. Use the opportunity details for accuracy
    - If you want a weighted product revenue calculate this based on the Opportunity Probability % and the Total Product Revenue, do not use the out of the box metrics
    Regarding your second question, Opportunity Revenue puts the total opportunity amount in your pipeline on the date of the opportunity close date. It also gets updated when a user adds a product and presses the "Update Opportunity Totals" button, this sets the Opportunity Revenue to the total of the Product Revenue from the products you entered. Sometimes users forget to press this button and the revenue is out of alignment. Opportunity Revenue can also be updated if you have the setting "Product Averaging" enabled in your company profile, this takes an average of the Product Revenue and updated the Opportunity Total when a user presses the "Update Opportunity Totals" button. These metrics are updated each evening, you are using the History subject areas which take 24hours to refresh. Does that answer your question?
