Importing pm7 using Adobe Table 3

I have search but can't seem to find out if Indesign CS3 can import PageMaker 7 files that use Adobe Table 3 and if the tables will look correct after importing. Does anyone have any experience with this?

If you used insert object to put those tables into your document, no, it
won't work. InDesign doesn't support OLE.

Import invoices using interface table

Dear all ,
I want to import invoice from legacy system to oracle EBS R12 , and i use interface table to import the invoice.
The problem is when i run Payable open interface import concurrent program to import the invoices , it didn't import any invoices
and the report output didn't show any error or any data according to the invoices.

So i go to the db and open the interface table and the status was null ,
i dont know why????????

Import Data using Full Table Name

Is there a way to run the import data wizard so when pulling data from a csv it generates an insert statement not only using the table name but using the Oracle Schema name -- ie fully qualified table name?

About this dump-load task, how does it works? Because I was checking out a package called Import SQL and this one only imports data from a table, however this table has to be allocated within the database that is being used, and I right? Are these 2 related somehow?
Does this task order BPC to find data from a SQL Table (allocated in a different server, different instance for SQL) and import it to SQL Fac2 table?
Can you help me with a simple explanation what do I need to do to run this task? The page help.sap.com talks shows a section within DumpLoad Task Usage which is called Importing Into SQL Server...

You can use DumpLoad to process the application as a standalone procedure, or with data import, export, or clear.
Prerequisites
The DumpLoad task (OsoftTaskDumpLoad2008.dll) is registered with Microsoft SSIS. See Registering Custom Tasks.
Procedure
1.Open a package or create a new package in Microsoft SSIS on the Planning and Consolidation server. i already did this for the DumpLoad task ... should I do this for the Import SQL task also ?
2.Select the task and add it to the package. WHAT DOES SELECT THE TASK MEAN?
3.Open the task, and choose Data Management None .
4.Enter the application set, application, and user ID.

Issues with pagination when using Adobe table with Web dynpro for ABAP

Hi All,
I am facing strange issue with table text.
I have three cols in table, one is of type Char255 and other two cols are of type string.
The text in the col 1 is displayed perfectly but in other two cols of type string whenever we have pagination the text in table is getting truncated and in next page new row starts.
Could you please tell me the settings that will enable flowing of text in the row of table to next page.

Check the properties of the text field you use for those columns (if you want to control it on this level) or check the same attribute for the row subform (one level up control): "allow page break within content".

How to use nested tables in adobe form

Hi All,
I have to use nested tables in adobe form for table display. I have used Subforms for displaying table data. I have changed accessibility of the subforms. Currently i am able to print print the table correctly if there is single material record in table 1 and single corresponding record in table 2. But the requirement is that i will have multiple lines in table 1 for single material and only one record in table 2.
EX: form is for Sales order. in line items if the order is for 100 units then we if we have delivered material as 80, 10, 10, then table 1 will have 3 lines for this. Table 2 will always have only 1 corresponding record.

Set the body page as flowed and set the tables also flowed.
go to bodypage>object->subform-->select flowed option.
I thihnk this will work..if u are getting all the records properly into the tables 1 and 2.

I want to import a MS Word Index into a .pdf file using Adobe Pro. It is for a book. The book has been converted to a .pdf for printing, but it needs an Index for the last page of the book. I tried to embed a new index (starting from scratch but no luck. Any suggestions? Thank you for your time.

Hi Amit,
After the optional addition INITIAL SIZE, you can specify a number of rows n as a numeric literal or numeric constant to adjust the size of the first block in the memory that is reserved by the system for an internal table of the table type. Without this addition, if the number 0 is entered, or the value of n exceeds a maximum value, the system automatically allocates an appropriate memory area. If this is no longer sufficient, the system creates an additional block twice the size of the first block as long as this size does not exceed 8 KB. Additional areas are created where necessary with a size of 12 KB. The maximum value is calculated as 8 KB divided by the memory required for a row. In the case of larger values, a block size of 12 KB is automatically selected.
You are advised to specify the initial memory requirements only when the number of entries in the table has already been specified and the initial main memory requirement has an adequate value. This can be especially important for internal tables that are components of table types and only contain a few rows.

How to import tab delimited using external table?

I'm using external table to import data from a tab delimited file. However, I keep getting an error message. I used both TERMINATED BY OX'09' and X'09' but still could not get it work.

(Without using any intermediate adapters for conversion of data.....)

Are you:
1. importing a CSV file into APEX
2. adding an extra column to the Oracle Table
3. populating the extra column with the CSV filename?

I am facing a strange case, after migrate the developments that call the EPMA Batch Client uding ODI 11.1.1.7 to the test environment. I have various package that load data on the table interfaces
and in a next step call the epma batch client.
However when I execute the package, the log file is wrote. However the new customers are not loaded. But If I execute the command (Step on package) that call the epma batch client the log also
is wrote and the member is loaded.
Any suggestion about what can be happening and how I can solved.

There are a lot of books about exporting data into XML format.
Actually, how to use XML Documents? Sorry I am new that I ask such a question.
What i think may be exchange or save data using xml. If so, How to import into MS SQL table? Do it need to do any mapping?

Are you sure you want to use XML with tables for this? No doubt importing XML into tables is useful for some specialized tasks, such as importing formatting information inside the XML itself, but for most of the familiar tasks that XML excels at, tables are neither necessary nor useful.
In my (limited) experience, if the XML elements are well-differentiated, by which I mean different types of data have their own distinctive tags, then the special powers of XML can be exploited more fully using the more familiar tagged text, nested tags etc. in ordinary text frames using paragraph breaks, tab characters, etc. to achieve a suitably "tabular" finished appearance.
If you must import XML into tables, I recommend Adobe's own PDF "Adobe InDesign CS3 and XML: A Technical Reference" availabe here:

It sounds very daunting -- the words "technical reference" make me shudder -- but actually it's very readable and not very technical at all. Some nice pics and everything!

Using Adobe Presenter to record a Powerpoint presentation LIVE

Hi,
I am struggling with Adobe Presenter (8).
Basically, I would like to record a Powerpoint presentation LIVE but I could not work out how to do it.
It seems to me that the Adobe Presenter tab which appears in Powerpoint is there if you want to record your presentation offline but not in front of an audience.
I would like to deliver my presentation to an audience and record it at the same time
I could use Adobe Presenter Video Creator but that won't create a table of contents with my slides titles.
Any solutions?

Presenter has never been desiged to record a live presentation. However, you could use any audio recording software (Audacity is free) to record yourself lecturing through the slides, and then import the audio from your lection into Presenter and distribute it appropriately across the slides and sync it with the animtaions.
Otherwise I would use something like a Connect Meeting or Camtasia to record the live lecture with the presentation.

Using Adobe Bridge and iPhoto together

I use Adobe Bridge (and Photoshop) to work on my photos. iPhoto is not an option since I shoot in Camera RAW. I also own an Apple TV and want to store all of my photos in iPhoto so they are available to the rest of my family via Apple TV. Has anyone figured out a way to do image manipulation first in Bridge & Photoshop and then have them sent (or later updated) in iPhoto in an automated fashion?
Conceptually, every time I add or change a photo in Bridge or Photoshop, I'd like to convert it to JPG, and add or modify the image in iPhoto.

Also make sure PS's File handing preferences "Macimize PSD and PSB File Compatibility" is set to Always and that there are no alpha channels in the file. An alpha channel will cause the black image that you're referring to.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
