Importing .sca files fails

Hi,
   I posted this message in NWDS Administrator also. I'm trying to configure NWDI - checking in and importing required SCs.
   In the CMS -transport Studio, the three checked in software components(SAP JEE, JTECHS, BUILDT) do not get imported.
   The CBSmake.log file has this entry:
Info:Starting Step CBS-make at 2006-03-30 21:24:14.0208 +5:00
Error:Cannot switch to input mode PRIVILEGED, because another import is running into the same buildspace J2E_SS_D
Error:or the buildspace was manually switched to PRIVILEGED by the CBS administrator.
Info:Step CBS-make ended with result 'fatal error' ,stopping execution at 2006-03-30 22:06:46.0608 +5:00
How to resolve this issue?
Thanks
Sumathi

Hi,
Imported failed for the three .scas and the entry in CBS-make.log is:
Fatal:The request queue is not processed by the CBS during the given time intervall => TCS cannot import the request because queue is not empty

  • Problems importing SCA files

    Hi
    I imported several SCA files and I openned their DCs at NWDS but several DCs are missed.
    An example is the DCs with Struts... I addeded its SCA but its DCs haven´t been imported at NWDS.
    STRUTS01_0-10003646.SCA is a pack of DCs to be used as a dependence, isn´t it ?
    so.. how can I add this in order to solve this dependences :
    12/02/2009 11:05:05 /userOut/Development Component (com.sap.ide.eclipse.component.provider.actions.dc.UsedDCFoundHandlerBase) [Thread[ModalContext,5,main]] ERROR: failed to resolve reference "sap.com/struts/lang" for DC "sap.com_SAP-SHRWEB_1:sap.com/crm/isa/web/b2b":Cannot find compartment of used component: sap.com:struts/lang

    Hi Michel,
                    May i know the business package you are going to implement. As of my knowledge for E-Commerce implementaion we will use this Struts.SCA file as an dependency(means just we need to add the SCA file to the related dependency).
    you will not get Struts.sca file into ur NWDS.
    In ur track just maintain SCA files which is related to ur business package source and add the dependencis for those source files.
    just add
    CUSTCRMPRJ,SHRWEB,SHRAPP,CRMWEB,CRMAPP to the track and remaing all as there depencdencies.
    Regards,
    Anil.

  • CBS make fails of SAP_ESS SCA file fails in NWDI 7.0 SP14 after ~4 hours

    Hi,
        We wish to do ESS customization in our new NWDI 7.0 SP14 system (on RHEL 4.7). Importing the SAPESS09P_3-20000512.SCA (after importing its dependicies) in a ESS track completed in the Repository-import phase but fails in the next CBS-make phase with a timeout of 14430 seconds (~4 hours). The exact error i am getting is listed below. Is their some way to bump up this timeout value?
       I am new to this and am very interested in what more experienced folks suggest about this.

    Well, I restored our NWDI system from an archive backup taken just prior to defining the new XSS Track. I then carefully followed the ESS NWDI Cookbook instructions to create the XSS Track and to import everything (SAP-JEE, SAP-BUILDT,  SAP-JTECHS, and SAP-PCUI) except for SAP_ESS. I then archived to tape everything again. That was yesterday.
    Today, I kicked off the import of SAP_ESS. So far, so good- it imported into the repository and is now in the process of Activation in the CBS. There have been no problems with threads stuck in the CBS queue in the QUEUED state.
    Of course, it has been only 2 hours so far.
    About the CBS properties for BUILD_TOOL_JDK_HOME,
    JDK_HOME_PATHS and idleStart. Aside from idleStart, i have left them unchanged. But will keep this in mind should the previously mentioned wierd CBS behavior return.
    Disk space is a little tight right now. I had 4 GB free before the import of SAP_ESS. Now i have 2 GB free, which seems to be holding. We have a script running to archive and delete the oracle redo logs since they are being generated at a pretty fast rate.
    Once i know one way or the other about the success of this, i will post a message.
    thank you everyone for your help so far!
    Steven

  • Error importing *.SCA file into NWDS:  Import (into source SC) not possible

    All,
    When attempting to import an SCA into a new project in NWDS, an "Import (into source SC) not possible: SCA doesn't contain DC sources" occurs.  Any assistance to fix this issue appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Lee

    You can indeed import SCAs into local development configurations in NWDS (Eclipse). You have to have a pre-existing software component of the same name and vendor which may or may not be empty.
    In the Development Infrastructure perspective in NWDS 7.1, just right-click on the software component you want to overwrite with the import and choose "Import".
    To import SCAs into a CMS track in the NWDI, you have to go to http://<NWDI server>:5<nn instance no>00/devinf/ and import the SCAs from the transport inbox directory of the NWDI server. Don't forget to maintain the SLD if necessary.
    Cheers,
    Thorsten

  • Importing SCA files

    Can somebody tell me what is the best path to get these specific version of SCA files for my NWDI configuration.
    we are running nw2004 .
    SAPBUILDT *.SCA
    SAPJEE *.SCA
    SAPJTECHS *.SCA

    Hi,
    go to service.sap.com/swdc -> Download -> Support Packages and Patches -> Entry by application group -> SAP NetWeaver -> SAP NetWeaver 2004 -> Entry by Component -> Development Infrastructure -> JDI Build Tool 6.40 -> OS Independent.
    Download the appropriate SP version and follow note 891223 (personally I prefer to just unzip the archive).

  • Imported Photoshop File Fails to Update

    I have imported a layered file from Photoshop CS3 into Flash
    CS3. The original import works fine but when I change the PSD file
    in Photoshop and try to update it in Flash it doesn't get updated.
    To do the update I right-click on the bitmap layer in the Library
    and select Update. A dialog is displayed showing the name of the
    layer and at the bottom of the dialog it says "1 of 1 items need to
    be updated." But after I click the Update button, it says "0 of 1
    items updated" and a question mark appears next to the Label in the
    dialog. And the bitmap is not updated.
    I have tried this same procedure with a simple single-layer
    bitmap and that works so I'm guessing it must have something to do
    with the structure of my Photoshop file. That file has a folder
    nested within another folder. The inner folder contains several
    layers, one of which is the layer in question.
    At one point, I thought it might have something to do with
    the fact that the layer contains a SmartObject but I tried the same
    procedure on another layer in the same folder which contains just a
    simple bitmap. That layer fails to update also.
    Is this a bug?
    David Salahi

    Yup, saw all that, but wasn't sure what format those elements were (PNG or JPEG).  I assumed JPEG, due to the compression settings, but wasn't sure if the compression was separate from the file format.
    But, how is transparency information being stored in a JPEG format?  I assumed some other 'under the hood' things were being done to achieve that, and worried that it would not necessarily be supported by all browsers, etc.

  • Import Map file failes with single/Multiple Occurance

    Hi All,
    Using a file I mapped the source and target structures.. The source file has one multiple occurance node . so I used look up option in source table and mapped with target fields...saved the map..
    When I used the following XML file .. I used the same map created befoe... I see the Remote System fields are not failed to map to target structure.. How can I get rid of this issue....
    <Product>
    --<Name>Rajeev</Name>
    --<REMOTE_SYSTEM>
    <Z_MDM_REMOTE_SYSTEM>
           <Z_MDM_SYSTEM_NAME>Panaroma AW Customer ID</Z_MDM_SYSTEM_NAME>
         <Z_MDM_VALUE>600013</Z_MDM_VALUE>
         <Z_MDM_VALUE1>600011</Z_MDM_VALUE1>

    </Z_MDM_REMOTE_SYSTEM>
    --<REMOTE_SYSTEM>
    </Product>
    Using above I saved the map.. Its fine.. I am able to import data in to MDM..
    When the file has multiple values of remote system as shown below then field are unmapped... vice versa is also the same..
    <Product>
    --<Name>Rajeev</Name>

    Do I need to create a seperate map for multiple iteration and single occurance..OR missing some thing? Please advice..
    Thanks
    Rajeev

    HI Ravi,
    May be I took the wrong example..
    I am not talking about remote systems... I am talking about XML source file.. If the XML source file consist of single occurance of any qualifier table then those qualifier table fields are not mapping.. IF I used the base file as multiple occurance Qualifier table....
    In the same way if I use base file as single occurance of Qualifer table .. Qualifier Fields are not getting mapped if the source file is single occurance..
    Suppose :If I use the base file as this and save the map.. I am able to import files whcih are single occurance of EMAIL...
    Fields are not getting mapped if the EMAIL occurnace is multiple.....
    <Product>
    --<Name>Rajeev</Name>
    --<EMAIL>
    <Z_MDM_EMAIL>
    <ID>ABC_yahocom</ID>
    <TYPE>TEMP</TYPE>
    </Z_MDM_EMAIL>
    --</EMAIL>
    </Product>
    In the same way: If I use the following XMl as base and create a map and save it.. Able to import files which had email occurance multiple.. Unable to import data and the fields are not mapped ......
    <Product>
    --<Name>Rajeev</Name>
    --<EMAIL>
    <Z_MDM_EMAIL>
    <Z_MDM_EMAIL>
    <ID>ABC_yahocom</ID>
    <TYPE>TEMP</TYPE>
    </Z_MDM_EMAIL>
    <Z_MDM_EMAIL>
    <ID>CDE_yahocom</ID>
    <TYPE>TEMP</TYPE>
    </Z_MDM_EMAIL>

    </Product>
    Please advise.. Thanks Rajeev.

  • Unable to import SCA files in SLD

    Hi,
    We are unable to import EP_BUILDT.sca into the SLD through Administrator or NWDI_CMSADM roles.
    For Administrator user we are getting error that - Unknown error. While checking in logs we found there are some authorizations required. So please let me known which additional authorizations are required, we are using standard Admin user.
    For NWDI_CMSADM - Administration link itself is disabled in SLD app.
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Ritesh

    Hi Ritesh,
    You user id should have specific roles to be able to access administration link in SLD.
    Below are some of the roles your id should have :-
    LcrClassWriterAll
    LcRClassWriterNR
    LcRClassWriterLD
    refer the link for details of other roles.

  • Importing .odt file fails

    I am trying to import a .odt file created in neooffice into buzzword. While importing (percentage goes all the way to 100%) a dialog pops up stating that Buzzword recognized the file but had a problem converting the file.
    File has images and different page styles (one page being landscape while others are portrait mode), otherwise nothing out of the ordinary.
    Not sure if there are any log files etc that I can forward to assist with determining issue.
    Thanks

    Hello,
    I'm sorry for the delay in responding to your post.

  • Error while importing ESS.sca file in Development tab.

    Hi,
    we are importing the ESS.sca file development tab. we are getting the below error.
    Fatal   Exception:com.sap.cms.tcs.interfaces.exceptions.TCSCommunicationException: communication error: VcmFailureException received: HTTP protocol error [cause: Parsing of the response body failed [reason: XMLParser: > expected to close empty element (:main:, row:1, col:3541811)]]:
    please give your sugesstions.
    Regards,
    srinivas,

    Hi Srinivas,
    Try this out. I had a similar problem and i did this to make the import successful.
    1)     Go to usr/sap/J2E/JTrans/archives and copy the sca file with version shown like the above screen shot.
    2)     Unzip the entire sca file by renaming it. In the META-INF folder open the SAP_MANIFEST.MF file and the replace the 32 character guid for the field “'pr_dtrwspropagationlistid'”
    3)     Change it to a different value and save it.
    4)     There will be four folders when the sca file was unzipped. Select all the 4 folders and then zip it again to the original name of the sca file.
    5)     Copy this file and then place it in the path usr/sap/J2E/JTrans/archives.
    6)     Now try re-importing the file it should work.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Nagarajan.
