In Adobe Forms where to write to write Program lines

Hi All,
In Adobe Interactive Forms , in SFP transaction where do we write Program lines.
In smar forms , roight clik flow logic and program lines creates an area for program line, what is the euqualiant to this in adobe forms.
Please help me out on this.

Save interactive adobe form in presentation server through report program

Hi All,
          We have developed a interactive adobe form in SFP transaction and we are calling this form
          from report program and we are able to save the form in presentation server.
          But my scenario is that user provides input in interactive adobe form and i need to save the interactive adobe form
          in display mode that to in presentation server with input values provided by the user.
         could any help to achieve this or guide me if i am moving in a wrong path.

It all depends on what you want to do.
If you are planning on users to fill out on-line form only and submit to SAP, it is pretty easy to do (that is once you understand how to create web dynpro and interactive form).
You can also have users fill a form offline and upload to online and save it to SAP.
You do need to know little bit about coding (ABAP or JAVA),
but can be done w/ very minimum coding.
If you are planning on doing in Web Dynpro ABAP,
go to SE 80 and select WebDynpro and create form.
To save data/form to SAP, you probably want to use BAPI or Function module already available so that you don't have to do much coding to save data.
See some of these links for helpful tutorials. Thomas Jung has several good tutorials, but none of them probably have all the information you need... you just have to pick some from here and some from other places... If you have specific question, I will be happy to guide you...

Send Adobe form as PDF via E-mail

Hi,
I am doing one interacive adobe form where i need to send that filled form in PDF format via email.
I tried using below options but unfortunately its not working:
1.I used "Email Submit Button" but its sending attachment as XML which I dont want.
when reffred threads on this problem , they suggested to go to XML VIEW of this button and change SUBMIT FORMAT to "pdf" from "xml".... but in this case , that button is not working at all.
2.I used below solution
Use a regular form button: Place a regular form button on your form . Look on the Object Window for the button. On the Field tag, towards the bottom will be a set of "Control Type" radio buttons. Select the "submit" option. There should now be a "submit" tab in the Object window. Switch to the tab and on the "Submit As" pulldown select PDF. But this is also not working.

Get your form data in XML format from Interface. There are some standard classes available to convert the XML to PDF and sending mail.

Incomplete text displayed in interactive ADOBE form

Hi Guys,
I have an interactive adobe form where a drop down will display "EQUIPMENT NO" W.R.T to the selection screen i/p
uporn selection of the "equipment number" the "EQUIPMENT NAME"field automatically populates.
I used to get an error message "Entry is too long",
got rid of it by setting the value of TYPE property of attribue to "MAXLENGTH" , uporn doing this the drop down and the discription text is displaying only last 3 char of the values.
I tried increasing the size/characters of the fields in the table in the form but was of no use. Any inputs will be Appreciated

Yes I have checked all the subforms Flowed. Text field is working good in Preview Pdf Option of NWDS.
But when I generate the pdf on server, when TextField flows to next page, on next page it repeats from first line.

Read all rows in static table defined in the adobe form using webdynproABAP

Hi all,
The requirement is i have to display the 5 empty rows using adobe forms in the table format and retrieve the data from that 5 rows after user enter some value and post it in the database table. This is the part of my requirement.
I have done the designing part in interactive form and coding in WD using ABAP.
For that, I defined table in the adobe forms where in the DATA subform I have given Min count value is 5 instead of 1(selected the check box - repeat each item... also). I am able to display 5 empty rows successfully. After enter values in 3 rows and press SAVE button i am getting only first record but not all 3 records.
I have written the code for SAVE records in WD using ABAP. I am using this method "get_static_attributes_table" for getting all records.
Please help me resolving my issue.

Hi,
In the WDDOINIT method, create an internal table with 5 empty rows and bind it to the context using the method Bind_Table.
Then try executing your program, this should work.

Dynamic Image (.gif) from URL into adobe Form by SFP

Hi all
I post the comment of Shamila because I have the same problem
I need to place an image in the Adobe form based on the url.
I have written the following formcalc script in the image field form ready action
ImageField1.value.image.href = "http://www.adobe.com/imageshome/pdfgift_home.gif"
But when i view the form , the image field is empty, and when i click on the blank space of the image field, a popup appears to select the image............
How can i show the image from url in the form..........

BOLD FONT IN ADOBE FORM

                     I have one requirement , I am developing one adobe form where I am getting one paragraph from read_text function module,
                     and I am passing this table in my form layout
                     now the problem is in that paragraph there are some highlighted lines . for this lines adobe form is not printing them in bold but
                      it is printing like this

                       output is like that............

As mentioned by you, is the below text totally placed in one text module "read_text" or different text modules are used to print "1. ABCD"..."1.1. EFGH"..."1.2.1. IJKL" ??

Drop Down Limit in Adobe Form

Hi,
I am having an issue on the drop down list in the adobe form, where the drop down list is only showing one item for user to select. In fact it should contains more.
I debug and noticed that 228 items are returned to the drop down. It should show all 228 items in the drop down on the form.
Futher investigation, i found that the drop down can only maximum display 225 items, the issue occurred when total items are more than 225.
Is there any solution for this?
Are we able to make it auto display a 'search box' whenever the drop down is not able to cater items more than 225?

Dear Wen Yew Lim,
I believe this is a standard SAP functionality(although unwanted/disliked).
You could rather use a node and achieve this functionality, instead of adding all the values in an enumerated attribute.

Herewith I had Explained detailed Procedure,
For Dropdown,
1.     Create a node and attribute to the dropdown ,
2.     call the bapi,
3.     Assign the Bapi attribute to the Dropdown node attribute
4.     Place the Interactive form UI to the Java Application
5.     Create an another attribute for read the interactive form
              a.Name: pdf_src
              b.Type :byte, Assign this attribute to PDF Source property of the Interactive form UI Element.
6.     Give the Name to the Template source property of the Interactive form UI and double click the        template source.
7.     It asking Name for the Interactive form, Give the name for that
8.     Once give the Name, It ask context for Adobe form, assign the already created node for dropdown in Webdynpro application to the interactive form.
9.     Now Context Bounded with Webdynpro and Interactive form
10.     Interactive form screen will be open into the studio
11.     Place the Dropdown UI element to the Interactive form and bind the attribute to the dropdown
12.     Select the Dropdown UI Element, go to the object property, Click the Specify Item values. The pop window displayed, here give the $ value to the Item Text, Item value. The Data Connection dropdown and Default Binding , it has value when the attribute bounded to the dropdown UI .
13.     Save and Test the Application
For Value Help,
1.     Do the Same Procedure for up to 10 steps,
2.     Place the Text field UI and Value Help UI Element
3.     Select the Value Help, go the Script Editor give the name of the text field attribute name in var fieldName = "*INSERT_NAME_HERE*";
4.     Save and Test the Application

Validate the radiobutton in interactive adobe form

Hi All,
right now iam working on the interactive adobe form where we can see the dropdown boxes and radiobuttons and some of the text fields. okay here i have issues on the radiobuttons to validate some data.
exactly my issue is :
we have 3 radiobutton , if end user select the one of the radiobutton on the adobe form then the value in the drop down boxes will be automatically changes.
how handle this type issues on the adobe form.

Hi,
My client requested an interactive adobe form where they can enter text like a word file. Once the layout field comes to an end, the text area should be extended automatically for them to key in more text. is it possible. Please advice.

I have the similar kind of requirement, where I am displaying the Notification longtext fro SAP. I have made the text box editable, so that the user can input as many text lines as he wants. This is client's requirement.
I have wrapped my textbox in a Flowed subform and also checked the Expand to fit property for the text box.
But still my text box's height is not dynamic. The height of the box is fixed according to the no of lines coming from SAP. If I want to add more lines, the box is not increasing in height. Similarly, when I am deleting some of the text, the box size is not reducing.
Do you have any idea, how can I achieve this requirement?
Do I need to use script for this? Or I can achieve this without scripting?

Repeating subform on each page in Adobe Forms

Hello all,
I created an Adobe Form, where the body is splitted in subforms (all flowed).
But now, I want that the first subform must be showed on each page on the Adobe Form. A masterpage cannot be used, because soms field have no data and are not showed on the PDF.
Does anyone know how the first subform of the body can repeat on each page?

To make TEXT field in adobe forms dynamic

Hi Experts,
I have requirement in adobe forms where based on certain condition I want change the TEXT field accordingly.
Example if material number in of gas type than text will be "GAS MATERIAL" and then populating corresponding material number.
If itu2019s of hard goods type than text has be "HARD GOODS MATERIAL".
Please let me how this requirement can be achieved ASAP.

Yes you can definitely make a field dynamic. Bind the text fields with varibale of type Material Number and its description which will have to create in the context (Interface) of the adobe forms. These values you can pass from your driver program or Web-Dynpro.

Adobe Forms Drop Down

Hi,
I have a requiremnt in adobe forms where i need to add text with a drop down values Yes/No. I created a parameter 'FLAG' TYPE QISRSUI_ATTRIBUTE_PARAM in the interface and binded the value 'VISIBLE' in the layout. Just want to know the steps to display 'Yes' and 'No' text in the drop down list. we are on EHP3.

If you know the values which need to appear in the dropdown and those values are always static then you can enter the values as an attribute of the dropdown. in the Adobe Designer, click on the 'Object' pallette and select the 'Binding' tab. Below the binding you can use 'Specify Item Values' to enter the key and text for the dropdown values.

Printing graphics in Adobe forms

Hi,
I have a requirement in adobe forms where I need to print graphics stored as standard text (SO10) or on document server (SE78) by calling them inside a long text.
The client was doing this in legacy with SAP script and it was working fine but adobe form does not support this feature (as far as I know)
Is there any way we can print graphics by calling them inside long text?
Any inputs will be appreciated.

Hi,
To print the graphic from SE78 in Adobe form you need to do the following steps.
1. Convert the graphic into graphic_content(XSTRING) using
call method cl_ssf_xsf_utilities=>get_bds_graphic_as_bmp
2. Create Graphic node in Context in Adobe form with the properties
Grphic type as graphic content
Field as graphic_content(XSTRING)
MIME type as 'BMP'
3. In layout create an image field and bind it to graphic node created in context.
