In Alchemy using xml  class?

hello,
how to call methods of XML CLASS?
AS3_Val baClass = AS3_NSGetS(NULL, "XML");
AS3_Trace(baClass);                           //[class XML]
AS3_Val Params = AS3_Array("StrType","<foo><p>hello</p></foo>");
AS3_Val ba = AS3_New(baClass, Params);
AS3_Trace(ba);                                //<foo><p>hello</p></foo>
AS3_Val child = AS3_GetS(baClass, "child");
AS3_Trace(child);                             //undefined
AS3_Val hello  = AS3_CallT(child,ba,"StrType","p");
AS3_Trace(hello);                             //undefined
AS3_Val hello2  = AS3_CallTS("child",ba,"StrType","p");
AS3_Trace(hello2);                             //undefined
AS3_Val _xml = AS3_New(baClass, Params);
_xml = AS3_CallS("copy",ba,no_params);
AS3_Trace(_xml);                             //undefined
why "undefined"?

  • Strip off the base64 content from an XML and saving the rest in streaming fashion using XML Reader Class.

    Hi,
    I'm presently working in a scenario, where i need to read an XML (having base64 encoded images) using XmlReader class in a streaming fashion (considering the performance) .
    1) I have to strip offs the base64 encoded contents from the xml (front & back image node).
    2) Than saving the remaining XML (without base64 content) .

  • Binding XML to java types generated using Oracle Class Gen

    Hi,
    how can you bind an XML to the java types generated using the class gen provided byOracle.
    I am using oracle 9i production. as part of my design, i have to read an xml input in my java class and use the contents to create some records and send a response xml back.
    The latter part of i can do as the java types provide setter methods to set the data and conversion to xml.
    Jaxb can be using to bind xml to java datatypes but its not supported in Oracle9i.
    What are the alternatives for achieving the same?
    Thanks
    Ashwin

    Hi Ashwin,
    This is a bit outside my area of expertise, but I did run an older version of TopLink in the Oracle database java VM a few years back so I'll base my advice on that. Hopefully other forum members can correct me if I steer you wrong.
    First you will need to set up your XML environment:
    I believe the Oracle 9i database includes a JDK 1.3 VM. You will first need to determine if the VM includes any JAXP APIs. I believe there is an SQL query that allows you to query the classes available in the VM. First check if javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory is present.
    If the JAXP APIs are already present in the database you will need to do the following. First load the class javax.xml.namespace.QName into the database. You can extract this from xmlparserv2.jar or from Suns Java Web Service Developer Pack jax-qname.jar. Then you will need to load the JAXB APIs. You can load xml.jar or jaxb-api.jar from Sun's JWSDP.
    If the JAXP APIs are not present you will need to load the 10.1.3 version of the XDK jars (these are shipped with the 10.1.3 TopLink install). Load xmlparserv2.jar and xml.jar into the database.
    Second you will need to setup your TopLink environment:
    Load toplink.jar into the database. If the JAXP APIs were already present and you didn't load the 10.1.3 XDK jars into the database you will need to set the following System property.
    toplink.xml.platform=oracle.toplink.platform.xml.jaxp.JAXPPlatform-Blaise

  • Generic Populating the XML document using Java Class Generator and Reflection

    I am looking for a generic source code in order to convert the data parsed from any tabular text form ( tab delimited for example that maps certain XML Schema created form Database Schema for Oracle.
    I know it is possible to generate XML DTD or XSD from Oracle database table schema by XSU utility from XDK. And also it is possible to create Java source files from an XML DTD or XSD by using XML Clas Generator.
    I believe there must be some generic code that parses tabular text data and converts them to XML format using above mentioned generated Java source files and may be Java reflection mechanism.
    If anyone has any tool or knows any free ware that helps me, I would like to know about it, and I would really appreciate it.

    1. Read the XML file into a DMO object, walk the DOM to find the list, insert your new entry as a child, write the DOM back to a file.
    2. If the XML is not in a file, but in a string, then you can do the same with string input and output.

  • ANN: XML Class Generator for Java Available

    The Oracle XMCL Class Generator for Java is now available as an
    initial beta release on the Oracle Technology Network at
    http://technet.oracle.com. Select 'xml' from the Technology menu.
    The XML Class Generator will generate a set of Java source files
    based on an input DTD. The generated Java source files can then
    be used to construct, optionally validate, and print a XML
    document that is compliant to the DTD specified. This is an early
    beta release and has the following features:
    * Creates Java Classes from DTDs to enable the programmatic
    construction of XML documents.
    * Supports validation mode to assist debugging.
    * Works with the Oracle XML Parser in Java.
    * Creates documents conforming to the W3C XML 1.0
    Recommendation.
    * Supports creating documents in the following encodings:
    UTF-8
    UTF-16
    ISO-10646-UCS-2
    ISO-10646-UCS-4
    US-ASCII

  • Using XML-based object structures to represent data in code/at run-time

    Hello,
    I have quite a "high level" question which has be bothering me for some time, and I haven't found the subject tackled in any books. I believe J2SE/J2EE is not an important divide here.
    Lets say I want to develop a J2SE game application with two programs: a "level designer", and a "level viewer", and I want to store the level files in an XML format.
    My question, and I use this example only to try and illustrate it, is:
    when coding the level designer or viewer, is it reasonable to use an XML-based object hierarchy for representing a level in code/at run-time, i.e. using the standard Java DOM APIs? Or should one (as I would have done before XML came along) develop a set of classes much closer to modelling the real form of a level, and then add a means to convert those objects to/from to XML format?
    This second option of course I would use/would have used if I wasn't thinking about XML, but isn't it sometimes easier to just read in an XML file into a DOM representation and just use the data straight out of that structure, rather than go through the bother of parsing the XML into a set of unrelated objects defined by a different family of classes? What shapes your decision here? And if the second option is best, what is the easiest way of converting to/from the XML?
    Thank you for any advice.
    Greg

    Hi Christian,
    Can I ask: what about if your domain was quite 'close' to an object/DOM representation of XML?
    For instance, what if a game operated by acting out a theatrical script, a spoken conversation, between two characters, perhaps somehow influenced at points by the user, and a particular level was just a different script for the characters.
    One could imagine that the object representation of this would in the end be quite similar to how you'd represent XML, i.e. like a tree of nodes, where each node was a line from the script, and some nodes were a decision point where different nodes could be chosen from.
    Would you still want to avoid using XML-based classes to represent the underlying 'game', or is there a point where you would 'give it' to the similarity and use existing XML structures directly?
    Thank you for any advice

  • How can I load and save text using FileReference class

    Let me start by saying I have no intention of using php and I can't wait until flash cs5 comes out with its new read/write capabilities
    I want to load and save XML files (stored on my local hard-drive) in AS3.
    I am using the FileReference class.
    Firstly I have noticed that when using FileReference.save if you replace an existing file instead of writing over the file data is appended to the end of the file. Can I make it so the file is overwritten (as it should be) or make it impossible for the user to save in such a situation.
    Secondly I want to load in text from an external file using FileReference.load I know that somehow you use FileReference.browse first to get it to work but I want to know exactly how to do it.
    I have looked for a tutorial about loading text in this manner and have not found one.
    Any help would be much appreciated especially if you could point me in the direction of a relevant tutorial
    Thanks

    the filereference class is for downloading and uploading files.
    if you want to load xml, use the xml class.
    and, if you want to write to an xml file and don't want to use server-side code, wait.

    Then what will be the query?
    Thanks in Advance

  • How to edit bitmap which is imported in flash using xml and save the edited bitmap back to xml in flash.

    hi all
    It would be appreciated if any one let me know how to edit
    bitmap which is imported in flash using xml and save the edited
    bitmap back to xml in flash.
    Is it posible to save the bitmap data in flash?
    thanks in advance

    Yes you can... but like I said before you need to upload the
    data from the changes you make to a server.
    In terms of the solution... its unlikely that you'll find one
    specifically for your needs. You will have to learn whatever you
    don't know how already and maybe adapt some existing examples to
    your needs.
    To change the visual state of a movie clip... you just do all
    the regular things that you want to do to it using flash... scale,
    rotation, drawing API , textfields etc in actionscript. If you
    don't know how to how to do that stuff, then you need to learn that
    first. That's basic actionscript.
    You can capture the visual state of a movieclip using the
    BitmapData class. That includes a loaded jpeg. You can also
    manipulate bimatp data using the same class. You should read up on
    that if you don't know how to use it or check out the examples
    below for uploading info.
    For uploading to the server:
    Here's an as2 solution that took 15 secs to find using
    google:
    http://www.quasimondo.com/archives/000645.php
    If you're using as3, google search for "jpeg encoder as3" and
    look through that info. There are also historical answers in the
    forums here related to this type of thing that might help as
    well.

  • Problem in impelementing tree in jsp using XML

    </tvns:treeview>
    </code>
    Please help me out .its very urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

    Have you actually been able to get this to work? I tried some of the demos from the MS site and running the html file with the treeview.htc just sends my browser into a state of loading with nothing happening!?!
    This is a webcontrols component which is rather MS specific. As for finding the namespace, are you accessing this page locally or remotely? the namespace location, if run from a JSP, will resolve the C: drive to the one the web browser is running in not your server.
    If you have your htc file in the same dir as the jsp your running, then putting just "treeview.htc" as the namespace whould be fine or add the context path like so:IMPLEMENTATION="<%=request.getContextPath()%>/treeview.htc"Let me know if you actually get this running without a web server. Otherwise it may be the .Net server that renders the page.

  • Help with Photo Gallery using XML file

    I am creating a photo gallery using Spry.  I used the Photo Gallery Demo (Photo Gallery Version 2) on the labs.adobe.com website.  I was successful in creating my site, and having the layout I want.  However I would like to display a caption with each photo that is in the large view.
    As this example uses XML, I updated my file to look like this:
    <photos id="images">
                <photo path="aff2010_01.jpg" width="263" height="350" thumbpath="aff2010_01.jpg" thumbwidth="56"
                   thumbheight="75" pcaption="CaptionHere01"></photo>
                <photo path="aff2010_02.jpg" width="350" height="263" thumbpath="aff2010_02.jpg" thumbwidth="75"
                   thumbheight="56" pcaption="CaptionHere02"></photo>
                <photo path="aff2010_03.jpg" width="350" height="263" thumbpath="aff2010_03.jpg" thumbwidth="75"
                   thumbheight="56" pcaption="CaptionHere03"></photo>
    </photos>
    The images when read into the main file (index.asp) show the images in the thumbnail area and display the correct image in the picture pain.  Since I added the pcaption field to the XML file, how do I get it to display?  The code in my index.html file looks like this:

    rest of the code here:
            <div id="previews">
                <div id="controls">
                    <ul id="transport">

                    </ul>
                </div>
                <div id="thumbnails" spry:region="dsPhotos" class="SpryHiddenRegion">
                    <div class="thumbnail" spry:repeat="dsPhotos"><a href="{path}"><img alt="" src="{thumbpath}"/></a><br /></div>
                    <p class="ClearAll"></p>
                </div>
            </div>
            <div id="picture">
                <div id="mainImageOutline"><img id="mainImage" alt="main image" src=""/><br /> Caption:  {pcaption}</div>
            </div>
            <p class="clear"></p>
        </div>
    Any help with getting the caption to display would be greatly appreciated.  The Caption {pcaption} does not work,

  • "Error while using XML iview" with XML iview template

    Our portal platform: HP-UX,  WAS 6.40 JAVA, EP 6.0 SP14
    We created an XML iview using XML iview template and configured the XML source URL with RSS feeder addresses such as"https://forums.sdn.sap.com/rss/rssmessages.jsp?forumID=41". And then select RSS to XHTMLB as the XML transformation format and save.  When I try to preview the iview, I always got error "Error while using XML iview, please contact your system administrator".  Here is the log and among which I found an error "java.net.UnknownHostException: news.163.com".  Does this indicate that the Portal server is not able to interpret the address of the URL host?

  • Using "XML Document from XML Schema" in JDeveloper

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement to generate XML Document from XML Schema.
    For this I have used "XML Document from XML Schema" feature in JDeveloper. It is found in File->New->General->XML Document form XML Schema.
    I have registered a schema with jdev and got an XML document output for that successfully.
    Now, I want to implement this feature in my code for generating XML documents when XSD files are provided.
    Can any one please provide me with pointers to do that? I am sure there should be some libraries which can implement this feature.
    Thanks,
    Dilbagh

    Create an XML document from a Schema with the Oracle SchemaClassGenerator.
    import oracle.xml.classgen.SchemaClassGenerator;
    XMLSchema schema=new XMLSchema();
    XSDBuilder builder = new XSDBuilder();
    URL    url =  new URL(schemaUrl);
    schema = (XMLSchema)builder.build(url);
    SchemaClassGenerator generator = new SchemaClassGenerator();
    Generate the Java classes from the example XML Schema.
    generator.generate(schema);With the java classes construct an XML document.
