In Invoice Printing back paga T & C over lapping with first page Item text.

HI,
I am using sap script to Print invoice.
I am printing Line item and its Item text one first page and Next page.
secondly I am also printing Terms & condition on every back page.
Problem is.. I am getting 300 Item text line to print in First page and so on..
On first page its printing 10-90 its ok, but its printing 100 only one line one back page
rest i.e. 110 to ..... so on its printing on next page.
In All page its happending, its prining one line of Item text on back page, that it should not be print.
I have tried Protect and endprotect. but its not working, I have tried also using height of page, but prblem remain same.
Kindly suggest.

The idea and solution suggested by u is working fine, many thanx.
But one issue is happening after implementing the solution.
A blank page is printing in the last of print out.
We are having FIRST page wich is having next page BACK page and
in BACK page v r having NEXT page as a next page.
So wen v are printing the invoice , its reach to the end and printing the BACK page just back side if the last page.
After that its again creating NEXT page wich is unwanted and coming blank.
Seems its happening just bcoz of v r having NEXT page as a next page in BACK page.
Now everything is coming fine as v expected, except last blank page.
V now require to control this unwanted page.
Kindly suggest.

Upload your logo via SE78.
- Select 'Import' button from application toolbar of SE78, and perform upload.

How to reference SQL column value for page item text field

greetings,
I created a simple report based on sql query. the query is select employeeid,salary from emp_tbl. under the report column i see employeeid and salary. I created a page item text field with the source type pl/sql function body. inside this source is simple block.
begin
if salary < 10000 then
return (1);
else
return (2);
end if;
end;
from the error i take it that it doesn't understand salary. I have tried bind variable (:salary) , hash marks (#salary#), ampersand (&salary.) but nothing works. Is this even possible?

Hi Mon,
I think you will find that anything you do in Forms, you can achieve in Apex, but you may have to think a little differently. Finding direct equivalents in both environments may not be easy or even possible in some circumstances, but with a little knowledge and thought an equivalent overall business flow can be achieved that is just as efficient.
For example, in Forms where you have a multi row block based on a table, if you need to add any derived fields then you will add these at the block level. I can see that this is what you are trying to achieve in Apex.
In Apex this will be more easily achieved by specifying the derived fields as part of the query for the region, and if the derivation of the fields is complex you can use user defined functions. If you require page type items to be displayed such as text boxes, LOV's, radiogroups, datepickers etc then these can be embedded in the query with the use of the Apex API, see the APEX_ITEM supplied package.
I know this is still very high level, but I hope it helps you on your way in your journey with Apex.

I have been trying to resolve the error : Element Entry over laps with another entry of the same type while entering salary to an employee.
I have tried to resolve this issue by created a new salary basis with new element. But still I could not make it.

Excise invoice printing problem (page skiping)

Hi all,
Issue: Excise invoice printing as maintained in billing document.
In each page, page no, address, so no etc will come in the header portion.
In main window, I have to print out 10 line items of billing doc.
If line items exceeds 10 lines then subsequent items should be printed in the following page. And at the very last page, asseable amount, vat, tax amount, mode of transport & amount in words should be printed.
It is getting printed superb without header text of billing doc.
Requirement is that after printing completed of all line items, first seven line of billing documents header details (eg FG, semifinished, packing, size, etc.) are to be printed.(eg if line item is 10, then header details will be printed in the last page containing footer details). I have declared two text element in main window (one is item, another is header text). My requirement is to control dynamically print of items as well as header text in main window. I have declared 7.60 MM of main window height which is suitable for only 10 line item printing. Header text will come only on last page. I have declared 7 different header text variable in main window as maintioned in driver program. If there is no header text in billing document, it is giving 7 blank line feed after items printed.(eg if i have 10 or 20 line items then it is giving one extra page for 7 lines blank header text). I want to control this page skipping. If there is no header text then I want to finish printing in that particular page where items are being finished. It should be dynamic.

What i understand from request is to print the header data if exit and not then do not print the header data bust need to print the tiem data.
For this the solution is as follows:
1) define the header data in separate window (but not in main window) and name this windiw as header and also place this window on top of the page i.e. adjust the window to pribt on top of the page.
2) Now place the condition for this wibdow i.e. to print if the header data Internal table or variable field data is ne space.
with above said details te header window will print if there is data only and this will print on all pages.

Invoice print extra page w/o any data in repetitive area or end of report

I did not use Page Footer and reduced those "hidden fielded" height to 26 with checkmark for Adjust Area Height, but the invoice will print extra page with blank repetitive area and page footer, Report Header and Repetitive Header showed.
How to remove the extra page?
I have another one that do not print the extra page but each page has same Invoice Total, Frt, Tax with Remittance Address that should only show in the last page. I know this is because I put Invoice Total in Page Footer. When I remove Page Footer to End of Report area then I got extra page with no data in repetitive area or end of report.

i think problem be create in Repetetive Area.
Do this in your PLD,
->> Open your PLD and save as a duplicate PLD (Just testing PLD).
->> Right Click in PLD and Choose the Display Hidden Fields in PLD.
->> Reduce the Height of all fields in Repetetive Area, Page Header and End of Reports.
for example,
->> Select all fields including Hidden fields in Repetetive Area & Repetetive Area Footer and
Reduce the Height in General tab on Properties Widnow.
put the Height -> 15 and Font Size -> 10
->> Reduce the Repetetive Area Height and put the Tick mark in Area Height Adjustment in Format Tab.
Try to remove all fieds(including Hidden fields) in Page Footer and Reduce the Height.
ex. Page Footer Height -> 0

AR Invoice Printing Blank page when printed through printer

Hi,
I customized AR invoice to give PDF output through BI Publisher.There is no issue when tried to view the output.
When tried to print the output through printer, It's given blank page.
All other BI publisher reports which will give PDF output in Straight single request are printing through printer correctly.
But AR invoice By standard program itself when fired, First a Multi Language Function will fire which will have output of 0 bytes and after that as a child request Original program with Required output will fire.
It seems that printer is printing Parent request output.
Can anyone please help me regarding this.

Hi,
I'm guessing the concurrent program is outputting text (character mode) as opposed to PDF?
This could be a number of reasons:
1. Printer driver issue, e.g. the number of lines printed on the page is more than is defined for the printer driver: Try reducing the "Rows" on the current program definition
2. Printer PRT issue, extra page break could be being inserted.
3. The "box" in the report definition containing the address could be being expanding due to the extra address line, but not enough space so it forces a new page to be printed.

Double sided printing, back page is inverted

I am trying to print a PDF document on Adobe Reader 9 using my printer which defaults to 2-sided printing. Using landscape mode I cannot find any way of stopping the second page from being "upside-down". It is as if it expected me to flip the pages about the top of the page rather than the side. Printing a Word document using exactly the same settings for the printer results in pages printed "normally." Because I am using the same settings for my printer, this must be an Acrobat problem. Suggestions?

Found the work around myself. There is a switch in my printer setup for "flip vertical," which, when activated, shows the binding along the top of a landscape page. However, when activated it stopped the "upside down" feature and it now prints so that it reads normally with the binding on the left. Weird. Why different for Word and Acrobat?

Print multiple pages of text module as Terms and Conditions at end of PO

Hello,
I have a text module that contains a two page terms and conditions to print as the last pages of a PO.
I have three pages
FIRST-->Calls NEXT
NEXT--> Calls NEXT with a command to LAST in the MAIN window
LAST-->Calls Last, has a MAIN Window and a regular window which calls text module
The text module only prints on the first page in the end of the PO(i.e.last page). It does not flow or create an additional page for the left over text in the text module.
Please advice.

We have same situation. What I did was to introduce a new element in MAIN WINDOW ( by the way only FIRST & LAST pages are sufficient, no need to have additional page for printing Terms & Conditions ) in that element just have 2 lines viz.:
/: NEW-PAGE * Above command so that terms & conditions will always start from a new page.
/: INCLUDE ZPO_TERMS_AND_CONDITIONS OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE EN
If terms & conditions are more than a page it will automatically be printed on the next page. ( In our case currently we have got 5 pages of terms & conditions ).
At the end of the program i.e. When you are finished with printing of a PO just 'WRITE' this element using WRITE_FORM.

Need help! Can not print a Pages item???

I am completely new to mac. I have just switched from windows and have been experimenting with pages am only used to publisher. I have created a poster in Pages using a template and it will not print, it spools. I have looked at everything imaginable trying to figure out what the problem is and am getting absolutely no where. We tried emailing it as a pdf so that we could maybe print it out from another workstation using windows. It attached put failed to send from both yahoo and gmail.
I have been considering purchasing IWork, but don't know after all this hassle.
If anyone out there can advise, please do. I am becoming a v. frustrated new mac user.

Some questions:
1. How big is the Pages file?
2. How big is the PDF file?
3. What printer do you have?
4. What did "fail to send" look like? An error message? A time out when you press the "send" button or the "attach file" button?
I would probably put the PDF on a memory stick or an SD Card from my camera and transfer it to the other machine, but it is strange that it does not print from the Mac.

Hp6110 usually prints blank pages

Am on OS 10.6.4 with a 17" Macbook Pro and my USB linked hp 6110 Officejet which makes perfectly good test pages, prefers not to print a page of text. When used last a month ago it was fine, now it mainly, but not always, produces perfect blank pages. I keep cleaning the jets, it makes excellent test pages. A puzzle.

Given that the internal test prints are okay it certainly does not sound like you have an issue with the inks or the print head. Therefore you could try a reset of the printing system to see if that helps.
*How to Reset the Printing System*
1. Open System Preferences > Print & Fax
2. Move your mouse over the Printers list
3. Hold down the Control button and click the mouse (or right click if supported).
4. Click "Reset printing system ..."
5. Restart your Mac
This will remove your print queues but not your printer drivers. So you will only need to add your print queues again.

SAPscript MAIN Window ITEM TEXT Printing in NEXT PAGE

I need to print the Item Text (Item Description or Column Description) if the Item Values (Lines) goes to the NEXT page in the Form. I have TEXT ELEMENTS defined for ITEM TEXT and ITEM VALUES in the MAIN Window. There is no issue with Printing the Item Text and Item Values in the FIRST Page. But in the NEXT page only when the Item values are printed (Item lines in excess of FIRST page), ITEM TEXT needs to be printed before printing the ITEM VALUES. If the FROM goes to NEXT page but not the Item values, then ITEM TEXT need not be printed in the NEXT page. The number of lines in the MAIN Window is different for both pages (FIRST & NEXT). I am not sure how to get this done. So, please provide me with a suitable solution to get this done. Appreciate your help in advance.

Thanks for your reply. Printing item lines between PROTECT / ENDPROTECT, will lead to Print all the line item together in one page. That is not I wanted. It the line items flows to NEXT page, I need to print the Item Header/Item Text. Otherwise, NEXT page should not have the Item Header.

Unable to see back page in print preview

Hi Experts,
My requirement is to print terms and conditions on the back side of the page.
So i have created two pages 1.First and 2.Back. On pages window , in standard attributes,I declared 'First' in Page and 'Back' in Next page.And print mode i had set to 'D'-Duplex.While seeingthe print preview of the invoice i am giving the logical destination as 'LOCL'.
I think this is the standard procedure we follow to print anything on the back side of the page.But i am not getting the back page in the print preview.
Could anyone help me out if there is anything else that i have to do to solve this issue.

In print preview you are unavble to see back page, in print preview it seems as front page onlu, if you give print, in print out your able to see back page.

How to get result query to print PDF pages, e.g.invoices?

Greetings
I have set up the query results to fill an html page with data which is an invoice to be sent out to lesees.
Using the cfdocument tag, I can get a printable PDF version with the mailing address positioned to show in a window envelope, etc., but only one at a time.
There is a way to loop through all the records (in this case, over 1000) and print out the whole lot (single page invoices in PDF) with one command, I assume?
I have looked into cfprint and cfreport, but don't see how these could be used in this situation?

If it is a Script,
Select the Page and in the "Print Attributes" tab which appears at the bottom of the screen,U can select the Print mode as either 'S' for simple,'D' for Duplex etc.
and if it is Smartform,
select the Page and in the "output options" tab, you will find the Print mode where you can give the same options.
