In OSB 10,3, a Java Callout runs in the same thread of the Proxy Service?

a I have a Java Callout within the Proxy Service, request pipeline.
Does it runs in the same thread of the Proxy?
If NOT,
which work manager is the Java Callout pinned to?
can I set the work manager I want?

I have an app called Astrogold that crashes when I run one function, but no one else I know with the same app experiences the crash. The app writes several different reports, and gives the option of sending them as PDF files. All the other reports generate fine, but one of them....and that one crashes the app while it is trying to generate the report.
Note: it only crashes the display. If I double click the home button I see the app itself is still running.
I checked my Diagnostics & Usage data, and noticed that every time the app crashes a LowMemory report is created. I looked at the LowMemory report and see that the Largest process is Astrogold. But I don't see any reports with the name of the app itself.
I have an iPhone 5c, and according to iTunes I have 2.25 GB Free.
Below is the actual LowMemory report. Can anyone make any suggestions?

I run my MacBook Pro on MacOSX and on Windows XP using BootCamp.
The problem is that I cannot run both operating systems, on the same screen, at the same time . I need to shut one to be able to open the other one.

You can redownload previously purchased apps from the App Store using the same Apple ID on all your authorized Macs for free.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

JavaScript is not from the same origin as the Java code

When trying to log into my school website with Safari, I get the following error from the console:
sun.plugin.liveconnect.OriginNotAllowedException: JavaScript is not from the same origin as the Java code, caller=http://tychousa3.umuc.edu/WebTycho.nsf/setJVMCookie?OpenPage, callee=https://tychousa3.umuc.edu/sys/
This keeps me from logging in. In order to get it to work, I have to disable Java, log in, then reenable Java after logging in.
I am able to log in successfully with Firefox but I really prefer to use Safari.
Does anyone else experience this problem and do you know how to fix it? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

thanks for your answer. Yes indeed HTML widgets run only full screen (snif snif). I consider this as a "distinguishing treatment".
One solution i read !!!!! was to create through keynote a countdown clock, to export to quicktime move and to imported at iBA predefined widgets. of course this is not the solution i need.
So, in order to have at the same widget and run together a count down clock and a preview test (20 questions) i must
1)"hack" the preview widget and insert a countdown clock
2) create a preview test using iAD.....

You have to look at the system requirements for the app. the iPad 1 cannot run a version of iOS higher than 5.1.1. If the app requires a higher veriosn, you cannot run it.
System reqs for any app in the itunes store are at the left edge of the screen.
Fortunately most apps still run on the older iOS version

Does the new Classic run the same software as the older one?

Does the new (120GB) version of the Classic run the same software as the older ones (80/160GB)?
The reason I ask this is because I am interested in a Classic, but only the 160GB version. Will it run the same software, with the same features, as the new 120GB version?
For that matter, is there any difference between the two versions of the Classic, other than storage capacity?

OSB: send dateTime do Java Callout method

Hi,
I have a method in Java that receives a parameter of type java.util.Date and I want to invoke that method in an OSB Java Callout Activity.
I receive in the OSB 11g service input an element of type xs:dateTime and I want to send it to the Java method this element. But it always result in exception: argument type mismatch java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: argument type mismatch.
Is there a way to pass this element to Java Callout without having to pass first a string and then convert to java.util.Date?

Hi,
I have a JAR Resource, which has one simple java class with one static method. I invoke this method using Java Callout in my proxy service.
This all works fine if I am in single node environment, when I move to Cluster two node environment, I export the current single node config and import in cluster config, all services work fine except that JAR is available but I cannot access any methods and when I click on this JAR Resource it says "JAR Resource not found". Is there a special consideration for moving custom JARs to OSB Cluster.
Please can someone provide some details on this, greatly appreciate.

Here are some more details, basically I have a JAR which has methods, so I created a JAR resource in cluster, and it uploads my jar successfully. I see a resource name now, when I click on this resource it says "resource not found".
If I do the same exact steps in non-clustered environment, it just works fine without problems.
In cluster configuration I went to each node including admin and verified that .ar file is there.
If I export now what I have in cluster, the exported configuration JAR does have a mycustomjar.Archive file. But I am not able to access it in console.
Also I want to say thanks for helping me, please let me know what I can verify more.

In OSB file protocol, trying to get the archived file name in proxy service

Hi,
I have a requirement that i need to process the archived file of file protocol, with java callout in proxy service.
I am able to get the file name which is reading with 'tokenize($inbound/ctx:transport/ctx:request/tp:headers/file:fileName,"\\")[last()]' , but this file is getting archived to archive folder. I want to pass the archive file name as input to the Java callout.
Please let me know if this can achieve in OSB proxy or any other options.
Note : I am reading a xlsx file in the file protocol

If you're using pass by reference option in the file transport, I guess the archive filename can be obtained from $body/ctx:binary-content/@ref. Try it out.

Can anyone help me what is the use of business and proxy service in osb?

I am new in Osb what is the use of business service and proxy service in osb.
I know little bit proxy service is used for actual message flow. I saw some project proxy service invoking the (using service callout,routing and publish) service,but the wsdl of the services of the proxy and business service is same.
Please can anyone explain the flow while executing through soapUI?(that means it will hit 1st business services or proxy service)
I have this project structure
business service
1.reference.biz----> this is the wsdl of ex:reference.wsdl
2.external.biz----> this is the wsdl of ex:external.wsdl
proxy service
1.referece.proxy--->this is the wsdl of ex:reference.wsdl(in this proxy we are routing to reference.biz proxy service both contains same wsdls why?)

Hi Raju,
Proxy Service - It is the starting point of you OSB application which deal with receiving messages, inducing logic in it like transformation, if-else, replace, java call outs,etc. You can put in your program logic here and then invoke a business service to route it to your Database or to any other queue as per your requirement.
Business Service - It is generally used for routing purposes, like inserting the input in your Database or sending it to a different queue or BPEL process, etc..

How do I use the same SubVIs in the different VIs? Those VIs have to run at the same time.

If I have two VIs.And both of them has the same SubVIs.
For example
VI1 contains:
SubVI1: Initialize Instrument
Data acquisition
SubVI2: Close Instrument
VI2 contains:
SubVI1
Monitoring the Board and VI1
SubVI2
When I run those two VIs at the same time, why can't I use SubVI2(which is in the VI1) to close the Instrument?
The function has been run correctly, but it didn't work. The VI1 did closed, but the instrument didn't closed, neither did data acquisition.
In order to close instrument, I have to run SubVI2(which is in the VI2).
What I want to do is that when I run SubVI2(which is in the VI1), then, the instrument closed and data acquisition stopped.
Is there any problem between the thread? Or anything wrong with SubVI's VI property?

It seems that I didn't solve this problem, but now I maybe understand why it happened.

That makes me think about the number of doing init & close. My project calls on that there must be a strict requirements about the number of calling those function in one process.
That is to say,when running them, if VI1 and VI2 are in different process but not in the same one, the program is going to run successfully. But now, VI1 and VI2 are threads which in the same process, so my project's strict requirements makes them run failue.I used SPY++ to analysis, and found those two threads are actually in one process.

I am afraid showing the code doesn't work, because all the VI SubVIs and code is base on the japanese system.and all of them must call the functions form DLL which is protected by my company. I am sorry about that......

I have both TimeCapsule and Airport, and run two mac computers in the house on the one network. The airport often can not be found, and the signal is incredibly weak unless in the same room as the modem. Previously our signal was strong and effective.

The signal has been strong and effective previously and as far as i'm aware that nothing else in the house has changed. We have two apple computers, appletv, an ipad, 2 iphones, time capsule, and airport all running off the same network. If there is product, a configuration or program we can get to help diagnose and or solve any connectivity issue that would be awesome

The Powerline adapters mentioned by edex67 are your only hope if you cannot run an Ethernet cable.
Even if the home and office are on the same electrical circuit, you won't really know how well the Powerline adapters might work until you actually try them out at your location.
For that reason, it would be a good idea to understand the store's return policy before you buy.

How can I include results of a subsequence, which runs in a new thread, in the main sequence test report

I', m working with TestStand Version 4.2.1. I have a main sequence, which calkls different subsequences. All these steps are properly reported. One of subsequences runs as "new thread". How can I include its results in common test report of the main sequence?
I have markes variables of the subsequence as it is requred for test report (it works OK if it is not a new thread). If the the numerical test, which is executed in this subsequence is correct, I get no results at all. If the numeric test failed I get somewhere in the main sequence report a "red message", that test failed whithout any reference to the step or values of vaiables which were not correct.
I tried an option "On the fly" in the Report Configuration , but haven' got any useful results. What shall I do?

Hi,
I tried it but without success:
1) I got a reference to the Thread as "Locals.Step1=RunState.Thread" for every of 2 steps which start a thread
2) I put both "Waits" after steps with (and without) threads, at the same place, where they were before
3) The sequence run OK, but when it came to Wait for Thread 1 it waited for ever, I had to terminate sequence
Does it mean, that I got a false reference (suppose No - please, have a look at attached pic)?
Or does it mean, that Waits are badly placed in the sequence (threads are already terminated)? Here is a pic of sequeces calls with Wait after them.
