In the main bookmarks menu I'm not able to move the links up and down for convenience like I used to. When I right click on a bookmark to do so, nthng comes up
Recently I've lost the ability to use the options available with a right click on a bookmark in the main menu bookmarks. I can't move them around up or down, can't delete any either. The weird thing is in assorted bookmarks I'm having no problems at all.
Do you have any advice to help me, I want to thank you in advance for any help you might be able to give me with this problem. I have installed the latest update sent to me to no avail.

After the release of Firefox 29, several people noticed that after using the Customize feature, most items on the right-click menu for the Bookmarks menu on the menu bar became ''grayed out'' and unusable until you closed and started Firefox back up again. That seems to still be a problem for me in Firefox 36.0.4, so if you used Customize, that could be the explanation.
You still should be able to click and drag bookmarks around the menu even with the broken right-click context menu.
And if it's easier than restarting, the context menu still works in the Bookmarks Sidebar (Ctrl+b to open/close) and Library dialog (Ctrl+Shift+b or "Show All Bookmarks").

In Bookmarks I used to be able to right click on a bookmark and in a menu box I could click on, SORT BY NAME, sort by name is no longer in the right click menu. I don't want to have to drag to sort bookmarks as I have too many. How do I get "SORT BY NAME" back in the right click menu in Bookmarks? Thanks, HT
In Firefox the option to sort bookmarks is only available for folders and not for individual bookmarks.
Easiest to sort by name is to do that in the left pane of the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) and right-click the folder that you want to sort.

I've come to the conclusion that Apple is no better than Microsoft. There was a functional iTunes. I could sync music, playlists, etc; across my iPad and iPhone. I can't now. It now eats up storage on my devices with 'other data', and Apple is silent on what is going on. I currently have 2 iMacs, 2 iPads, a Macbook Pro, and an AirBook Pro. I will stop purchasing Apple products. It is a royal pain to fix anything. This support page tries my patience to use. I used to enjoy working with Apple products, simply because they functioned and where intuitive to use. No more. Music is impossible to sync across platforms using the same account. Songs only, no playlists. This is step back to the early year of systems. No common data formats, zero portablity, and labor intensive.
Way to go Apple, you've destroyed your reputation!Similar issue -- this is the third time in as many months that I've had to restore my iPad. It's a iPad Mini w/ 32GB (ME277LL/A), running the latest iOS8.1.2. The "other" data starts off about 1GB and will bob around that. I was careful about games this time, seeing only a slight rise in the data. Once it started to rise, I deleted all of the game and the data on Game Center. No joy -- the data stays about the same.
Then I noticed it was really climbing -- shooting up to about 10GB and sitting there, no matter what I did: sync it: nothing. Deleting music (on the off chance it was album art or some such: nothing. Deleted all the books in iBooks: no effect -- still 10GB. Cleared the iCloud storage, cleared caches repeatedly: nothing. Reset everything: no effect. Only Restoring the iPad -- which takes forever and is a gigantic pain in the @$$ -- gets it down. This is exactly the same thing that happened the other two times -- I lose about 10GB to "other."
I now suspect, thinking on what I was doing with the device, that pulling movies from iTunes seems to be the culprit. Deleting the movies might take the movie "off the iPad", but there seems to be a corresponding jump in Other. My guess is there's some glitch dumping the information elsewhere.
It makes a 32GB iPad pretty frickin' close to useless in a remarkable amount of time. I've not had this issue until this iPad (bought last summer) with the iOS8 upgrade. I don't see this happen on the iPhone 5S with the same OS...that's why I dialed down to iTunes (when is it not smack in the middle of issues?) and Video as the culprit; I don't watch movies on the phone.
I've noticed a massive amount of posts in support and around the web on this matter...it might be time for Apple to shift it and do something about the matter. If I'm going to be restricted to surfing the web, email, and little else thanks to the Other issue, it really doesn't make sense to stick with this device. I can doo all that on my laptop, can't it? -
I was just have difficults in different things on my ipod touch 4th gene now that I have ITune Match and it not being able to update the iOS 6.1.5 and as to not sure of what I can do to get it to update and get all my songs back. Because right now I have at least 20 or 30 songs that I cant play now and I'm not sure why. I'm not even able to click on the songs and I wanted to see if there was a way to fix this without restore my ipod and starting over.

When I try to use FT on my MBP, connected to a 24" display, and close the shell, the display camera says it is not turned on. With the MBP open, FT works fine. I have looked and looked for a solution. Can someone help? Thanks

Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using. FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in. This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly. By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you. Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

I am not able to share a link to a web page on my face book page when I am using Firefox.
I recently have tried to share a link to a video clip from youtube and another from Yahoo on my face page. When I click on the facebook icon to try I get the page that at the bottom has a button saying share. When I click on it nothing happens. I was able to link to facebook when I used IE.
I hope it works out for you. A couple of comments.
Apple does not have a way to restrict searches on safari. It just is not there. But if you search the app store for parental control, you will find at least 1 browser that does. You can use that as your normal browser, and bury safari in a folder somewhere where the kiddies wont easily find it. Read the reviews, and see if it does what you want.
As respects purchases, remember that when you make a purchase, your password remains active for 15 min. I have been reading the posts here for over a year, and there is a continued stream of folks who download an innocent free app, hand the pad to the kids, and find the invoice the next day for $200 worth of smuf berries or some such nonsense. Keep eyes open. -
In the previous version of Firefox when I right clicked on a bookmark in the bookmark bar the IE Tab options would appear. They no longer do since I have moved to Version 4. It would be great to get this ability back.. Thanks
