I have an empty table called messages. The task is this:
a)Insert the numbers 1 to 10, excluding 6 and 8.
b)Commit before the end of the block.
I did this:
SET SERVEROUTPUT ON
SET VERIFY OFF
BEGIN
INSERT INTO messages VALUES (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,9,10);
END;
Which fails at messages. The table is there, I checked and it's empty. ORA-06550:

c1 is not a valid column name I posted as an example , you need to provide valid column name of your table.
Either post your table structure or replace c1, c2, c3 ... with valid column name from your table.
INSERT INTO MESSAGES (c1, c2, c3, c4, c5, c9, c10)
or
insert into messages (your table column name1 , column name2 ,....) values (....);Regards

Dynamically creating table and inserting rows and columns using JSP

Hi,
I'm using mysql and JSP to create web interface for my forms/tables. I wanna create the table dynamically depending on the data in the table and for each particualar record. and these values shud be loaded on the form after loading from the databaes as soon as the form loads.
also i want to have a button which shud add new rows dynamically. and same one for columns.
how do i calculate the values across the rows on the forms
I'm new to JSP. Please point me in the right direction...any tutorials or code will be helpful.

I am developing a application that insert various xml files
into oracle8i dbms..
So, I am studying Oracle XML SQL Utility and I understood that
I should create appropriate tables suit for the XML files..
(tag <--> table column name...) before insert them to the dbms.
But In my project, the xml file is not fixed.
And new XML files (new tag name, new DTD required) can be
generated by the end user.
Is there any solution??? create table suit for xml
automatically..

Hi,
One more thing is that, you can use XSLT to transform any
document that you get into a canonical representation that u can
then use to put into the database.
For example, if the user gave,
<univ>
<college name="eng">
<...>
</college>
</univ>
you can then use XSLT to transform it into all-element form,
such as,
<univ>
<college>
<name>engineering</name>
</college>
</univ>
and use OracleXMLSave to put it into the database. Also if you
have structured XML elements you can map them nicely into object
types in Oracle 8.
Regarding creating the table, for the exampe that you showed,
you can create an object type column for storing it,example,
CREATE TYPE college_type AS OBJECT
name VARCHAR2(50),
dept department_type,
CREATE TYPE department_type AS OBJECT
name VARCHAR2(40),
CREATE TABLE univ_tab ( college college_type);
You could have also created object views over multiple
relational tables and achieved the same.

Compare 2 tables and insert rows missing in each table.

I have a tough situation. I have two exact tables- one online and one offline database. I know that there are missing rows of data from each table, so I need to make a comparison of one table and insert rows that do not exist. I was thinking to try this, but it took over 3 hours to run and did not return anything:
insert into t
select * from t a
where not exists (select * from [email protected] b
where a.col1 != b.col1
and a.col2 != b.col2
and a.col3 != b.col3);
and it goes on for another 7columns.
The trouble I have is to include a date clause so that the query can be broken down into running only a few months of data comparisions at a time- the records go back 4 years to compare. Also is there a way to write this so that it will query both tables at the same time in order to speed things up- or is one table at a time the best advice? Each table has over 100 million records to compare, that's why I was hoping to use a date criteria since one column is date.
Let me know what you advise to make this work, I hope I was on the right track.

Read data from E$ table and insert into staging table

I am a new to ODI. I want your help in understanding how to read data from an "E$" table and insert into a staging table.
Scenario:
Two columns in a flat file, employee id and employee name, needs to be loaded into a datastore EMP+. A check constraint is added to allow data with employee names in upper case only to be loaded into the datastore. Check control is set to flow and static. Right click on the datastore, select control and then check. The rows that have violated the check constraint are kept in E$_EMP+ table.
Problem:
Issue is that I want to read the data from the E$_EMP+ table and transform the employee name into uppercase and move the corrected data from E$_EMP+ into EMP+. Please advise me on how to automatically handle "soft" exceptions in ODI.

I have tried the approach you suggested already. That works. However, the scenario I described was very basic. Based on the error logged into the E$_EMP table, I will have to design the interface to apply more business logic before the data is actually merged into the target table.
Before the business logic is applied, I need to read each row from the E$EMP table first and I do not know how to read from E$EMP table.

I think it'd be the usual SQL:
CREATE TABLE X
   FOO INTEGER,
   BAR VARCHAR2(80),
   etc.
)The types would have to be correct for your RDB.
I don't think it'd be a query, so it wouldn't return a ResultSet. I believe it's like an UPDATE, so you'd call executeUpdate on the statement. - MOD

First of all, thank you very much guys for all your work!
In my opinion Adobe Edge Reflow is missing quite important features, like creating tables and lists. For me it's a reason why I can't switch to Reflow. Any plans for implementing these? Is there any place where I can see the list of planned feature implementation? Didn't find it.

Missing tables is a big one for me too, especially when doing data-grids. My last prototype was using multiple responsive data-grids where I used the simpler essential/optional hide column approach, instead of stacking or scrolling the data. I had used Reflow in the past for basic content prototypes... but had to do this one by hand... took longer. Using divs for this did not collapse properly in all the browsers, plus the back-end team use widgets that only generate tables. Here is the example:

You've apparently purchased content with both Apple ID's. Sign into the device with the correct Apple ID and sync the content.

What kind of runtime engine will I need?
I also found that
- there is no runtime engine available for WinXP64 bit, what do I do for

- there are multiple runtime engines for LV2010 (min/std/64bit).

Yes, I must have 32 bit RTE for running 32 bit DLL.
And also I do want to have 32 bit DLL only (& not 64 bit one).
To explain, let me propose the following case.
I have a C# created (built in 32 bit mode for x86) parent EXE .
I have C# created (built in 32 bit mode for x86) child DLL.
The child DLL gets called successfully by parent EXE. In all 4 possible OS combinations. ie. 32bitWinXP,64bitWinXP,32bitWin64,64bitWin64.
But..
When I create a 32 bit DLL from 32 bit LabVIEW on XP32bit,
it never gives me success to be called by 32 bit C# parent in 64bitWinXP, 32bitWin7, 64bitWin7.
I am aware that I must not create 64bit DLL, becasue my C# EXE is built in 32 bit (& That's how it must be to be able to run in all 4 OS combinations).
