In XML - symbol and mathfont script

Dear Friends,
I have used mathematical fonts and symbol fonts in my job, when i export the XML file not converted in unicode or correct math and symbol fonts in my XML exported file.
My requirement is actual font character export in xml file, how to fix this issue?
If any script on this for automatically convert in unicode format for mathematical and symbol font, or any other way? Kindly help me on this.

Degree Symbol and Sub-Scripts in XML

I'm more of a designer and really don't know that much about code. I know just enough XML to use it in InDesign, the thing is I am having trouble finding a way to use the degree symbol and sub-scripts in the XML data I import into InDesign. The HTML codes like &deg and &#176 don't work, InDesign tells me that they are "not well formed". I'm using UTF-8. Is there another encoding I could use that allows me to use symbols and subscripts?

I know this is simple but am beginner in Powershell Script so I was looking for logic to go through however the output you provided is not what i am looking for and your script is too complicated, as under timestamp i wanted display value and correspoding
to display value the OID name and then name value correspoding to that OID. May be u got it wrong.

Update Symbol and Symbol Script without removing from Document library

Is there a way in fireworks CS5.1 to update a symbol and the corresponding symbol script without removing it from the document library like it suggests in the below article

I have done some more research on this question and there appears to be no way to update a symbol script without removing it from the document library, hopefully this bug will be patched in the near future

In a bourne family shell, the initial construct would cause stdout to replace the log file and append the err file, and would not redirect stderr.

"(int)" casts the long value to an int value (signed 32-bit)
long temp = Double.doubleToLongBits(salary);

Reading XML file and skip certain elements/attributes??

Suppose I have a XML file looking like this:

In my Java application I want to read this XML file and print it on the screen (including all tags etc). So far, so good. BUT, if I want to skip certain elements, i.e. all information about the dvd 'X-Men', how am I supposed to do this? In other words, I would like my app to skip reading all information about X-Men and continue with the next <dvd>... </dvd> tag. Is this possible?

A possibility that comes to mind is to create an XSLT script to do whatever it is you want - and call it from inside the program. The XSLT script can be stashed inside your .jar file by using getClass().getClassLoader().getResource("...")

XML Element of XML Element of XML Element (and so on...)

Here is my XML data (shorted, in a file myFile):

I would like to get the VoltageNow and PowerNow values, but the following script does not work:

BTW, I don't want to use XML Element X because the order may change.
What is the correct method to traverse these elements to obtain values?

AppleScript can handle the strings, but the System Events XML Suite doesn't work with text strings - it deals with the XML objects, which have name and value properties. The handler can be modified to show the names of an element, but it is just designed to work with the XML Suite.
The contents of an XML file is just text, so you can forgo System Events and just use regular text manipulation statements, or use another tool such as the Satimage XMLLib osax, which is much more robust and does include commands to display the XML object as a string.
By the way, my original handler was designed and tested in Leopard, but I discovered a Snow Leopard bug that alters the way it returns array/list contents. The following script has changes that return the functionality, in addition to a dialog handler that will display lists:

XML, PHP and Flash forms

After searching several tutorials and forum posts, I still am
puzzled at how to get started on this.
I want to enable my client to upload changes to the XML file
used on his site without knowing anything about XML. He also wants
to upload images which are referenced in the XML. So, I am assuming
that I create a form that allows him to type in changes to sections
and select an image on his local drive and submit it to a PHP
script on the server which will, in turn generate/update the XML
and upload the image(s).
Is this correct or am I going about it the wrong way? Of
course, I should just tell him he'll have to pay me to update the
site. ;-) I'm really confused about how to start this whole thing
in the planning stage. I just need a little direction then I can
research the rest.

steer clear of that as it will be harder to debug - doing it
in HTML
will be much more straightforward, and if you do it right you
can change
to using a flash front end in future.
Handling file uploads in PHP is a little tricky but there are
loads of
good pages of advice on using PHP on the web. Here's a good

XML with PHP I have only done once - and I think that was
just reading
it and not writing it. Should be OK though, again, lots of
help
available online!

Xml file and htmlText box doesn't work

Hi,
i have a action script that read a xml file and put the content of this file in a
htmltext box, but when come inside the xml file a code like this"Test" the box (htmltext) appears empty.
my code
this.my_txt.embedFonts = true;
this.my_txt.html = true;
this.my_txt.htmlText =myTextos;
The variable "myTextos" load the content from xml ...but it doesn't appears in my htmltext box
How can i fix this?
obs: When i erase the tag in xml the variable "myTextos" appears correctly in my htmltext box.

why my dinamic box (in flash 8, action scrpit 2) doesn't interpret the tag ?

XML transform and upload without overwriting additional variables

I have a set of working scripts where a user calls into one application to enter their contact number. People needing to reach that first user call the second application which reads the string value entered by the first user and dials out to them. This works via a simple xml transform and upload for the first script, and an xml get in the second.
I've been requested to do this for 40 additional people.
I made one template with a different %variable% for each user. Via a PIN, the correct variable is transformed and a singular doc is uploaded. The problem is that this uploaded doc erases the last person's transformation and reverts it back to %variable%.
Essentially I'm trying to avoid creating 40 different transformed xml uploads. Anybody have a clever idea? If it involves XSL please give a specific exmample; I'm not versed in that.

Firstly, Sam raises a very good point. This sort of thing would be much better dealt with by using a proper DB so you can independenly edit records for each user.
However if we assume this is a low-throughput system with infrequent changes and you are happy to take the chance of two concurrent changes occurring and one being lost...
What I do with XML mostly is read it, parse it with the built-in steps. When it comes to writing them, you can just read the whole doc, convert it to a string, and then use DO steps with Java code to edit the XML directly once read from the repo.
Basicallly as you need to maintain the existing data, you need to either:
1) read each bit of data into an array and then write that back into your template along with the new data
2) read each bit of data into an array and then write them all back by building up the XML manually with java
3) read the whole current XML from the repo, then do a quick find/replace in it using a regex and write it back

10g BPEL process upgrade to 11g hangs in Jdeveloper and Ant script

I have successfully upgraded several 10g (10.1.3.4) BPEL processes and ESB services using Jdeveloper 11g (11.1.1.6.0) migration wizard and deployed them to an 11g environment. Both 10g and 11g environments are up and running.
However, my 11g jdeveloper hangs when migrating the next BPEL process. It hangs at the message box with the title: "Migration Status". I tried the Ant script and it hangs too. It hangs after printing out:
"CompositeRefs
[upgrade] WARNING: UPGBPEL-02009: No Binding setup for : "soapCheckPrivileges"
. This will cause compilation of the upgraded project to fail. Check SOA Upgrade
documentation on manual steps necessary to bind this composite reference. If ne
cessary, upgrade and deploy any dependencies. If planning to retain 1013x nodes
in this projects dependency tree, check earlier part of this log for 1013x WSDL
URLs that can be used."
I guess it makes sense since Jdeveloper and Ant script use the same code base for migration.
One other observation is that if I kill the hanging jdeveloper process and reopen it and go through the migration wizard again, it will be successful without hanging. However, when I fix all the wsdl reference and do a build and deploy to sar. The resulting sar is defective and cannot be deployed to Weblogic even if both build and deploy to sar report success. The defective sar contains only scac.log and scac-log.xml, not even composite.xml.
One difference between this BPEL process and others I have successfully upgraded is that it depends on an ESB service (this esb service has been upgraded and deployed to 11g).
Any ideas?

I will answer my question. I killed the migrating Java process and the migrating wizard will report failure of migrating the .jpr file. Actually, the only thing missing in the migrated .jpr file is deployment profile which I can generate from deployment menu. And I can deploy the migrated process. This works as a workaround.
