Inbound Queue Messages Idle

Hi,
We have seen several instances in our system where an inbound queue is in "Running" status and just hangs. There is no SYSFAIL or any errors. If we activate/unlock the queue, it restarts and processes as expected.
I'm aware there are jobs that can be scheduled for those queues in error status, but is there anything that can be done to either reactivate or notify an admin when the queue is hanging/idle in the "running" status automatically?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regarding notification, CCMS might be useful.

Running status can be also checked as "blocking".

Screen output without connection to user, Message struck at inbound queue

Chaps,
I executed inbound proxy form PI 7.0, the message was struck in the inbound queue of ECC 6.0,
with status text "Screen output without connection to user" then when I apply execute LUW then it is converted to
"ThiSend:bad tm type /connection closed (no data)".
when i test the same message from 'SPROXY' t.code, inbound proxy class was working fine.
I came to know that when we call an ABAP program in side a proxy then it will throw same error what I got by checking the below url

Here my doubt is calling the SUBMIT for other ABAP program is same as calling the BAPI call?

In proxy, the logic is I am just simply reading the data from IS(integration server, PI7.0 SP 18) to ECC 6.0(SP14) if the row is not there the data is reading into table. If row is already there then it is stuck up in SMQ2 (inbound queue) of the ECC
am I missing any basic things? please guide.

Lets try below things..
1. Plz check the user is having auth to run the executable program in ECC.
2. It seems that you are not using the proxy structures in a correct way..and check the calling program also..!!

Messages stuck in SMQ2 Inbound Queue.

Scenario: File->XI->Proxy
When I put 50 files at the same time in a directory, channel is configured Exactly Once in Order and we have created queue with the name GATQUEUE. The messages are picked up from directory and sent one by one to BPM process. 31 messages out of 50 poccesed succesfully but 19 of them get stuck in the queue always. Though GATQUEUE is released lately but they are stuck in 'XBQO$PE_WS90000013' queue. This is seen in SMQ2 Inbound Queue.
Could you please tell me how to release this message which are already stuck and what bit of configuration required so that it works for 1000s of files/messages at a time?

Just add the below parameter in XI tcode : SXMB_ADM
Execure Integration Engine and Configuration.
Click on Specific Configuration, go to change mode
Click on New entries
Category : MONITOR
Parameter :QRFC_RESTART_ALLOWED
Current Value : 1
Save.

Messages still stuck in the Inbound queue SMQ2

Hello XI Gurus,
All my messages with "READY" status are still stuck in the inbound queue (smq2) for the last 2 hours...there was no SYSFAIL error messages or scheduled background running. I have to manually go in and executed each of those messages, instead of automatically process it. Could someone please tell me how to troubleshoot this?

Implement SAP note 758677 for this. This exactly deals with your issue.
This Basically speaks about scheduling 'RSQIWKEX' for inbound and 'RSQOWKEX' for outbound queues.
Also, you need to set the parameter 'QRFC_Restart_ALLOWED' to '1' in the transaction 'SXMB_ADM' -> Integration engine. Its in the runtime dropdown menu.
Note : without this parameter being set this will not work.

Hi,
If the queues are hanging due to peak load at sometimes
you can schedule following reports to restart them automatically
(dont have to lock and unlock manually)
RSQIWKEX - Inbound Queues
RSQOWKEX- Outbound Queues
Also you can save the first entry of the queue if its causing problems to process later- smq3

Messages stuck in Inbound Queue with Ready Status

Hi All,
The messages in the Inbound queue are getting stuck in Ready status.
I have to manually Unlock each queue to start the processing.
After some time again all the message queue are back to the Ready State.
Please help me on this issue.

Manage Queue
Select all Queues, Activate Queues.
& check your scenarios, now it will not stuck due to this error.

Check your RFC destination which is connecting to your external system . ask your basis team to Provide necessary roles for the user ....

The Q status is Executing forever, then there could be a dead lock inside IE, in processing the message and the system went into infinite loop. There is no otherway other than stopping(Lock immediately) the Q, and then unlocking it.
Also try deleting the redundant Enqueue process on Abap stack (rz10), and defining two enqueue processes enserver.exe on java stack one for ASCS, and one for SCS. You can find more information in installation guide for your XI type.

Workflow API to enqueue messages to an Inbound Queue

Which workflow API can be used to enqueue messages to an inbound queue WF_IN ? wf_event APIs or wf_queue APIs and which one ?

Actually I know about these APIs. But when I enqueue a message to WF_IN from SQL+ using dbms_aq.enqueue() the message is never dequeued by the listener. And if I use, wf_event.send() it does get dequeued, so why is that ?
Same thing happens when I am enqueueing the message from AQ Servlet, the message never gets dequeued by the listener. My message is in the correct IDAP format.
Because of this behavior I believe, the listener looks for some particular properties to be set in the message or a prticular format of message, and if it doesn't find it it doesn't recognize the message. Is this true ? Could you pls point me to any AQ Servlet example for enqueue ?

Message stuck in inbound queue of r/3 for inbound proxy

Hi Experts,
The scenerio is Inbound Proxy.
I m using standard prgram rfbibl00 to post a document (FB01) in Inbound proxy. When the message is triggered from XI, it get stuck in inbound queue of R/3 ( SMQ2) giving the status text "Session 1: Special character for 'empty field' .
Please help to resolve this issue.

Inbound queue - no messages in SMQ2 for scheduled messages

Hi,
im using the scheduler to schedule messages in XI.
In SXMB_MONI the message is in status "recorded"-green flag and the message trace shows the following entry:
Is there a way to see alll messages "recorded" in the queue ?
I can´t see a message in SMQ2 or SMQR.

refreshing the SXMB_monitor is the same.
The message(IDoc) is in green flag ! and the description is "recorded" (aufgezeichnet).
The Tracing in xml monitor shows "entry queue = XBT9...."
I have created a Job calling SXMS_DELAYED_MSG_PROC140 which runs every 5 minutes.
After processing the queue/message the SXMB_MONI status is white/black flagged with successful processed.
the Queuename is filled with outbound XBTO... queue.
finally i have on idea. The IDoc message is sent by the RWB Testtool not by SAP R/3.
I try to send the message via SAP R/3 and keep you informed.

XI inbound queues status "RETRY" in a new XI Production system

Hi
All the queues (XBT00* AND XBT02*) in XI Production system are not moving. Status is "Retry" all the time. The system is idle. Do you know what is happening here?
I also see the following error in the queue:
Command to tRFC/qRFC: Execute LUW again
Also, lot of errors (below) in the system log (SM21):
XIRWBUSER - Communication Error CPIC return code 027
XIAPPLUSER - Perform rollback
Any ideas?

Hi,
When any message is sent from any other system to XI, the Inbound queue in XI is processed in the following way,
1) AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER connects to the Java stack to execute the registered program AI_RUNTIME_<SID>.
2) When this connection is fine, then the queue is processed without any issues.
Now incase of Production system, which most likely to be a cluster system will fail because you'll find that AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER connection test fails, when you turn off one node. The reason being in visual administrator the JCo RFC Provider for the server nodes have not been maintained.
Solution:
Login to visual administrator, select the service JCo RFC Provider for both the nodes and set the value accordingly.
Ex:
SAP Cluster Virtual Name: XICLSTPROD
Hostname1: XIPROD1
Hostname2: XIPROD2
SID: XIP
CLIENT: 100
Instance No: 02
Values for Node1:
Program Id: AI_RUNTIME_XIP
Gateway host: XIPROD1

User: PI_JCO_RFC

Change in the similar way for the other Programs registered.
This should resovle the RETRY issue in Inbound queue.

"Logical System is not defined in table SMOF_ERPSH"
when i checked the table SMOF_ERPSH in the the CRM there is an entry for the R/3 system and the CRM system

The inbound queue has status 'SYSFAIL', and the system issues an error message stating that the logical system is not defined in table SMOF_ERPSH: There is no OLTP site for the logical system the data came from. Solution: Check your system settings: Is the transfer of data from this system to the CRM System supported? If yes: use the Administration Console (Transaction SMOEAC) to create a site for this R/3 System. Also check whether BDoc types must be subscribed on this site. In this context, refer to the Adapter Framework documentation and to the documentation on the administrations console.

Mail to RFC -- Data Structed in Inbound Queue -- Help needed !

Hi Friends ,
                       I am doing Mail to RFC Asyn Scenario . Mail mails are come into the mail box . XI is trying to read the mail and send to R3.
                        It was working fine suddenly , Many mails read succesfully and data send to RFC , But it is structed in   ( SMQ2 ) inbound Queue ( <b>Message Scheduled on Outbound side</b> )
              For long time it is showing like this . No data is accepted by RFC. I have checked the Adpater confi for rfc it is fine . I have given Max connection as 50 also .
          Please help me to solve this issue !

Have the Queues being registered in the R/3..?
If not....
1.Go to SXMB_ADM(R/3)
2. Go to Manage Queues and then
3. Register All Queues.

Queue with error in Inbound Queue SMQ2 can not de deleted

Hello,
We did the replication of Materials and Services correctly.
However, in the SMQ2 trx. (inbound Queue in SRM 5), we keep seeing the following queues:
R3AD_ATTRIBUTE
R3AD_CONDITIONS
R3AD_LEDELIVERY
R3AD_OBJCL
These queue have status "SYSFAIL". We want to get rid of these queues but upon deleting them, they keep appearing again the folowing day!
How do we have to proceed?
