Include HTML tags in CSS extraction

CSS extraction should be able to identify paragraph styles in the PSD and add them to the CSS. Thus, rather than, say
font-family: Impact;
color: #004274;
font-size: 30px;
font-weight: 400;
barebones, it would be preferable to prefix with H1 { and add } after, when the text actually has a paragraph style of H1 in the PSD. If the paragraph style is something other than a valid HTML tag, it would make sense to interpret that as a Class ID, since that would be the usual case.

  • How to Include html tag in xml

    Hi,
    Is there any way to include html tags in xml?
    For Example, I'm using xsl to get the value of FIELD_1 from fetch.xml
    In fetch.xml, I have the tag
    <FIELD_1>
    <font color='#8080ff'>&#160;<font face='Times New Roman, Times' size='28'>Testing font and color</font></font>
    </FIELD_1>
    But If I tried to read the value from xsl like <xsl:value-of select="FIELD_1"/> I'm just gettig the display 'Testing font and color' without the specified font and color....
    How to achieve this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for the input.
    I tried with the below code
    <fo:block space-after="5mm" font-family="Arial"><xsl:copy-of select="FIELD_1"/></fo:block>
    But I'm getting the below error...
    "An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0xa0) was found in the element content of the document."
    Below is the code included in the xsl....
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

  • How to include HTML tags in a success message?

    I have seen a few posts on this topic in the past, but have not seen a definitive response...apologies if this has been answered.
    I would like to have a dynamic process success message that includes some HTML tags in it - in this case an anchor tag that can jump the user back to the object he/she just edited.
    So, I build up a dynamic success message in a page variable - say P10_SUCCESS_MSG - and set the Process Success Message field in the relevant Process to &P10_SUCCESS_MSG.
    The problem is that when the page template substitutes in my message for #SUCCESS_MESSAGE# it looks like it also escapes any HTML tags, so the markup gets displayed literally on the page.
    Is there any recommended way to override or get around this behavior?
    Many thanks,
    Bill

    I just noticed that it looks like the success message is passed around on the URL - when I look at my URL after a successful form process, I see &success_msg=BIG_UGLY_ESCAPED_SUCCESS_MSG_HERE embedded in the URL. If this is the case, I can see why - technically - it ends up getting escaped. Looks like I may have to figure out my own hack for success message processing - maybe some weird post-processing of a placeholder success token that I replace in a page 0 process or something...

  • Best way to format text: HTML tags or CSS?

    Probably a silly question, but...  I can format the text within a div using CSS Styles (Font-size, Font-Style, Font-Weight, etc.) or by applying an HTML tag, such as <H1>. (Or, I guess a combination where I use CSS to format the tag, but let's skip that one for now.)
    In general, is one approach better than the other? Thanks!

    +1 Nancy. The specific tags exist today simply because of the meaning it adds to your site at the backend - especially for search engines to understand what's going on with your site. And since search engines dont 'see' your page, but 'read' your code, these tags are the only hope for them to figure out what your site contains and how to place it on their results.
    On a sidenote, the first method of using inline styles is time-consuming and results in larger filesizes since you'll end up doing it for each div tag. The second method is much simpler as you can style each individual tag in CSS and re-use them anywhere you want on your site.

  • Including HTML tags in Spry XML data sets

    How does one add HTML tags to Spry XML data sets so that the displayed items include that markup?
    For example, I might want to bold-face words within XML data items. I have tried adding the markup, but instead of seeing, for example:
    This is bold face
    in the Spry table, I see:
    This is <b>bold</b> face
    I have tried using CDATA elements in the XML to no avail.

    Set the data type for the column as per
    var ds1 = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("myData.xml", "rows/row");
    ds1.setColumnType("myColumn", "html");

  • I have included html tags in summary of feed. Will they show in iTunes?

    Hey there,
    I have included the italics html tags around some book titles in the episode summary section of my xml feed. These tags italicize the book titles on my podcast website (which is pulling info from the xml file), but I can't seem to get the titles italicized in iTunes.
    Can anyone confirm that this should or should not be working.
    When I subscribe to the podcast, and then click the "i" (podcast information) button on the far right in iTunes, I get the episode summary in the pop up window, but the titles are not italicized.
    Can anyone offer any assistance? This is a podcast for the publishing company I work for and they are stressing the book title/italics issue;)
    Thanks for any help you can provide:)

    Hello dallentownsend
    Try deleting iBooks app from your iPad and then download the app again to remove any previous books that were downloaded or attempted to download. Then just download your books purchased again.

  • Does Firefox work with all html tags/CSS properties?

    I am considering Firefox because MSIE has been and is becoming more annoying.
    I want a browser that simply implements all html tags and CSS properties.
    I want Firefox to install without screwing with any other application on my computer.
    Possible?

    Sure no problems to install Firefox alongside other browsers.<br />
    You only need to decide which browser to set as the default browser that is used when you click a link in other programs.

  • HTML layout and CSS handling in CQ5

    OK...so this may sound like a newbie question...because it is.  Kinda.
    I'm new to CQ5 but am an experienced web developer.  CQ5 doesn't appear to provide tools to layout of web pages (html tags, divs, css styling, ...).  I'm comfortable doing this by hand, but that seems rather old school in the days of Dreamweaver and such.
    What layout/design tools do you recommend for creating HTML and CSS pages for use in CQ5?  I have wireframes in-hand and ready to translate to HTML.
    Thanks!

    None of the enterprise content management systems that I've used, including CQ, provide WYSIWYG tools for building the layouts/templates of the site.
    I always build complete static versions of the designs/wireframes by hand entirely outside of CQ.  I prefer Textmate, but of course you can use whatever visual tool you prefer.  After the static HTML passes muster it then needs to be integrated, by hand, into CQ in the form of page and content components.  This is generally straightforward (depending on the design).
    CQ 5.5 does give you the Site Importer to help bring an existing page (or set of pages) into CQ which it then breaks up into the beginnings of a project, but in reality the developer will still need to break that up even further anyway.  Applying this integration by hand from the ground up will likely give you better control and awareness of what's going on in your project. Letting to much "magic" happen behind a slick wizard or WYSIWYG won't help you when something (inevitably) needs debugging and dissection.
    Having said all this, since the Adobe acquisition of CQ, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of Dreamweaver plugin in the works for connecting to CQ!
    Good luck!

    And that is a critical distinction to make. HTML parsing is horribly complex. XML is quite easy. For HTML you have to code your own parser in PL/SQL. XML can be parsed using the XMLTYPE class/data type in PL/SQL.
    So if you need to find a single specific tag in HTML - I would not try to treat it as XML. I may not even try to use regular expressions.
    I would do a basic substring search for the start of the tag. Read the data following the tag. Ensure that there are no nested or embedded tags in the data. Until the end tag is read. Because HTML is that much abused - and because that is an accepted norm as parsers used by browsers deals with that abuse without complaining.
    Proper HTML is mostly a myth in my experience of "screen scraping" web servers for data extraction as they do not have web services supplying the data.

  • Filting html tags, css, and javascript with regex

    hi everyone,
    im writing a small application where a user types in a url, and the text of the webpage is displayed in a text area.
    ive got it to work, however it takes some time, and also alot of content i dont want is displayed - tags, scripts and sometimes css.
    initally i filtered out the html tags with a regular expression, but i still get alot of unwanted content.
    im not a confident java programmer, and the idea of parsing html, css and javascript is the scariest idea ever to me, so my next idea is to keep only everything between the <body> tags - everything above and below it is deleted - hopefully that should leave me only with the visible content on the site.
    ive messed around with regular expressions but i cant get it to work, can anyone help out?
    thanks alot,
    Torre

    I tried out the regexes I posted on the source of a forum page, which is not valid html (contains two each opening and closing body tags). With a bit of trial and error I was able to remove everything upto the first, and not the second, opening tag by using a reluctant qualifier, ^.*?, but couldn't for the life of me achieve removal of only the last closing tag, leaving the other, invalid one intact. How would you do that?Regexes always try to match the first occurrence of whatever they're looking for (the sentinel), and there's no way to change that behavior (but it would be handy if you could). What you have to do instead is make sure the rest of the regex can't match the sentinel. For that you need lookahead, and the simplest way to use it is to scan the rest of the text looking for the sentinel and, if it doesn't find one, go ahead and gobble up the remaining text: "(?is)</body>(?!.*</body).*$" However, if there are many occurrences of the sentinel, you could take a serious performance hit. Here's a much more efficient way: "(?is)</body>(?:[^<]++|<(?!/body>))*+$" After matching the sentinel, this regex gobbles up anything that's not the first character of the sentinel, or the first character as long as it isn't followed by the remaining characters of the sentinel. The advantages of this regex are that it never has to backtrack, and the lookahead is only applied when it's necessary, where the first regex applies it every time.

  • Extra pair of HTML /HTML tag included at web source

    I have created a report of JSP format. The charset of the file was UTF-8 and the report contained some Chinese words. When I previewed the file using Reports Developer, it displayed the Chinese words correctly. Then I deployed the report to Oracle AS server. However, when I browsed the report from web browser using "rwservlet?report=abc.jsp&userid=system/manager@ccc&destype=cache&desformat=html" command, it could not display the Chinese words correctly because the charset encoding is set to ISO-8859 (English).
    I have already set the report to use charset UTF-8. Then I opened the file in the "cache" directory at web browser. It displayed the Chinese words correctly and the default encoding was UTF-8. The next step was viewing the source code of the content displayed using "rwservlet" command. I finally found that there was an extra pair of <HTML></HTML> tag at the beginning of source code. The source code therefore looks like:
    <HTML>
    <Head>
    <base href="http://dev.abc.com:7777/reports/rwservlet/getfile/rep_dev/1/06587041.htm">
    </Head>
    </HTML>
    <HTML>
    <Head>
    <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    </Head>
    <Body>
    </Body>
    </HTML>
    There are two pairs of <HTML></HTML> tag!
    The content of the pair of tag include a reference to the corresponding file at the "cache" directory, but it did not specific any charset encoding. When I manually changed the encoding from ISO-8859 to UTF-8, the Chinese words were displayed correctly.
    Can someone tell me why there is an extra pair of <HTML></HTML> tag at the beginning of source code? Where can I set the charset encoding of the extra pair of tag?
    Actually I face the same problem when sending the output to printer by setting the "destype" to printer. The Chinese words are not printed correctly.
    Thank you very much for any help and idea.
