Include posting date in interest computation

Hi,
we have a payment term of 07DA (due on the 7th of billed month)
If a document is posted on the first day of the month, then is it payable on the 7th. If the customer did not pay on the 7th, it will computed with interest. The standard is, interest will compute on the 2nd day of the month. Is there a way wherein interest will be computed on the 1st day of the month?
Example:
Document with a posting date of September 1 (baseline line date is Sept. 01) due on September 7.
Customer did not pay on the 7th.
When i run interest, computation will start on September 2. We want it to start computing on Sept 1.
Thank you.
Rachelle

Hi,
The baseline date can not be change for interest calculation alone, as that would affect the net due date calculation also.
However check whether in transaction OB85, you can define a custom function module for determination of interest rate and for that you can give the below formula:-
( Interest Rate Applicable / No of days in arrear ) * (No of days in arrear - 1)
Then the interst amount will be same as you wanted.

  • Inhouse Cash : interest scale posting date and value date

    Hello,
We would like to configure the posting of the calculated interests at month end as follows:
calculation period  : from first calendar date of the month (included) until last calendar date of the month (also included !)
posting date = last calendar date of the month
value date = first calendar date of the next month
My understanding is that the posting date of F991 is driven by F9L4.  How can I make sure that valuedate of the payment item generated by T-code  F991 (mass balancing)  = F9L4 date + 1 calendar day?
Thank you very much for your suggestions.
    Carl

I agree that you can influence the value date as compared to the posting date,
but that is not the key issue.
Key is how to ensure that both the interest calculation end date AND the posting date be equal to the last calendar date of the month?
The system seems to look at what is stored in the account balancing tab of F9K3 and if you have "31" stored there, the system seems to calculate until the 30th of the month (for months of 31 days, obviously).
I can however not put in F9K3  "1"  (first day of the month), because then I will be unable to trigger the interest scales (F991) with a posting date 31st of the previous month, because in order to trigger F991 the date in F9L4 (which is the posting date of the interest scales) must be equal to or bigger than the date stored in F9K3 (next balancing date, which would be equal to 1st of the next month !
So, It looks I am running in circles.....
    Any solution for this?
    Thx,
    Carl

  • Interest Calculation on posting date and due date

    Hi
I want vendor interest calculation on due date as well as posting date. Let me know how to get it. According to me only its possible on the basis of one date only.

    HEllo!
In the report RFINTITAR, you use the interest indicator customizing:
IMG   > Prepare Item Interest Calculation   > Ref. Date
    (table V_T056UX)   >  field Ref.
(FI Item Interest Calculation: Reference Date)
You have the possibility to define what You need to be considered as
incoming payment due date, choosing between:
1 Value Date (or Baseline Date for Net Payment)
    2 Document Date
    3 Posting Date
    4 Payment Baseline Date
As you can use one interest indicator per customer/vendor you can use only of the dates is used. But, in this
program you can use the BADI FI_INT_CUS01. Please, check if you can meet your business requirements using the methods
    of the BADI.

I use internet service transaction catw in release 6.0 and the following error occurs:
System error: NO posted data for 4_CPR_OBJGEXTID 4 (Include LCATS_ITSF10) .

CATw is not supported in ECC 600 , You need to use new service of CATS, called record working time
Please read the note 870126 and also refer help.sap.com about record working time

    Hello Krzysztof,
This error message is either an IAC template error or an application error.  Either way it is not an ITS issue.  You should see if the same error appears when using this transaction on the SAPgui for Windows.  If so you should debug from an application point of view.

  • POSTING DATE RANGE INCLUDED IN CUSTOMER RECEIVABLE AGEING REPORT PLD

    Dear All,
Please can you tell me how to print the posting date range selected in the parameter selection for Customer Receivable Ageing Report PLD.
    Thanks
    Gary

    Dear Rahul,
I know that but it is really painful to develop the whole report in crystal where it is available in SAP itself. Imagine just for one requirement i will have to build the whole report in crystal. I think SAP should give flexibility to change the hard coded reports.

In the interest of keeping things orderly....This is the DATA CAP MEGA THREAD....post data cap questions or comments here.
    Please keep it civil.
Comcast is testing usage plans (AKA "data caps") in certain markets.
The markets that are currently testing usage plans are:
Nashville, Tennessee market: 300 GB per month and additional gigabytes in increments/blocks ( e.g., $10.00 per 50 GB ).
Tucson, Arizona market: Economy Plus through Performance tiers receive 300 GB. Those customers subscribed to the Blast! Internet tier receive 350 GB; Extreme 50 customers receive 450 GB; Extreme 105 customers receive 600 GB. Additional gigabytes in increments/blocks of 50 GB for $10.00 each in the event the customer exceeds their included data amount.
Huntsville and Mobile, Alabama; Atlanta, Augusta and Savannah, Georgia; Central Kentucky; Maine; Jackson, Mississippi; Knoxville and Memphis, Tennessee and Charleston, South Carolina: 300 GB per month and additional gigabytes in increments/blocks ( e.g., $10.00 per 50 GB ) Economy Plus customers have the option of enrolling in the Flexible-Data plan.
Fresno, California, Economy Plus customers also have the option of enrolling in the Flexible-Data plan.
    - If you live outside of these markets you ARE NOT currently subject to a data plan.
    - Comcast DOES NOT THROTTLE your speed if you exceed your usage limits.
    - You can check out the Data Usage Plan FAQ for more information.

I just got a call today that I reached my 300GB limit for the month.  I called and got a pretty rude response from the security and data usage department.  The guy told me in so many words that if I do not like or agree with the policy that I should feel free to find another service provider.!!! I tried to explain that we watch Netflix and XFinity on-demand alot and I was told that that can not be anywhere close to the data usage. I checked my router and watching a "super HD, dolby 5.1" TV show on Netflix will average about 5-6 GB per hour (1.6MB/s) ... sp this means that I can only watch no more than 1-2 Super HD TV shows a day via Netflix before I run out of my data usage.    This seems a bit redicilous doesn't it? Maybe the TV ads about the higher speed than the competition should be accompanied with "as long as you don't use it too often"   Not a good experience ...

  • Getting at POST data from a pl/sql procedure through Path Aliasing

    Hi.
I have mod_plsql configured with "path alias" and "path alias procedure" so that the request ends up in my
procedure and i have the remaining path in p_path. This is what I want.
    http://<domain>/<dad>/<myalias>/<p_path>
My question is; is there a way at this point to get at POST data in the request? I haven't been able to find
any way of doing this looking through the documentation. Is the body of the request lost at the gateway
    (mod_plsql) using path alias?
If so, is there some other way to achieve something like !myproc(name_array [somearr], value_arr [somearr])
where the first entry in the arrays is an eqvivalent to p_path?

My question is; is there a way at this point to get at POST data in the request? Do not understand the question as a POST and GET are simply two different methods that a web browser submits a URL and data. There is no "+path+" involved here.Thank you for answering. I think the confusion is because you disregard what I said about "path alias" and "path alias procedure".
Those are configuration of the mod_plsql gateway so that any URI containing <myalias> above is directed to the procedure stated
by "path alias procedure". The gateway also sends any remaining parts of the URI to this procedure as an varchar2 argument (p_path).
My problem is that I see no way to get at any POST data as the signature of this procedure has to be this one varchar2, and I don't
know any other way to get at the body of the request.
    >

where the first entry in the arrays is an eqvivalent to p_path?If you want to know what the URL is, the full path used, then you need to look at the CGI (Command Gateway Interface) environment. The web server builds a list of CGI variables. These include the type of web server, the URL, the type of HTTP command (GET or POST), and so on.
Within your PL/SQL web procedure, you can query these CGI variables. Have a look at the function OWA_UTIL.GET_CGI_ENV in the [Oracle® Database PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/w_util.htm#i997269] guide.
Take a look at CGI variables such as PATH_INFO, PATH_TRANSLATED, SCRIPT_NAME and so on.Yes, thank you, but my problem is a bit upside down. I do use the cgi environment to get the method and I have path as input, what I can't
find is the body of the request. I might be approaching this entirely the wrong way. It might be a bit easyer to understand if I state that I'm
trying to find a way to implement a RESTfull service in pl/sql.

  • Interest computation on Special GL Transactions

    Dear Gurus,
We are on SAP 4.7 system and our requirement is to compute Interest to be paid to our Customers who have paid us Deposits.  That is, the Deposits paid by Customers to us and booked using Special GL Transactions that lead to customer credit balances.
We have completed the configuration of Interest and the same is working fine for Debit balances.  The computation is fine for all debit transactions.
However, the system is not computing Interest on Credit Balances lying in Customers Account thru Special GL Transactions.  We have configured Item Interest calculation. The expectation is to compute interest on multiple Sp GL Line items of a Customer.
This is what we have done in configuration / spro:
    Interest Calculation Global Settings:
    1. Item Interest Calculation P for our Interest Indicators L1 and L2.  (L1 assigned to Customer Master).
    2. Number ranges
    3. Prepare Interest on Arrears Calculation - L1 - configured to accept Open and all Cleared Items
    4. Prepare Special G/L Transaction Interest Calculation - L1 Int Indicator mapped with L1
    Interest Calculation
    1.  Define Reference Interest Rates
    2. Define Time-Based Terms - L1 mapped with
    Debit interest: arrears interest calc.
    Credit interest: arrears interest calc.
    3. Enter Interest Values
Now ideally speaking, maintaining these values, must lead to correct calculation of 'Computation of Interest on Special GL transactions'
The subsequent configurations are also completed, although, our understanding is that these are only for carrying out Financial Posting.
    Interest Posting
    1. Maintain Acct Determn - OBV1 - L1 is set up with Sp GL Indicator (somehow I feel this is not a required configuration for interest computation on Sp GL transaction but still tried with this one as well)
    Please help.
    Regards

    Hi Venu,
Special g/l trans is not allowed in cash journal, but there is a workaround provided in OSS Notes: 532888
it states" Special G/L indicator (for example, for down payments)
The consideration of a special G/L indicator, in particular for down payments, has also not been provided for reasons of the simple useablity.
However, if you want to enter down payments in the cash journal, you should write a corresponding note as a workaround in the text field (for example, "Down payment"), post this amount to a clearing account that is intended for that in the cash journal and afterwards make a transfer posting of this clearing account with the corresponding special G/L indicator in the accounts receivable accounting."
    hope this helps.
Please assign points as way to say thanks.

  • Default key date, Document date and posting date needs to be changed automa

    Hi Experts,
The user wants to create a variant for Foreign currency valuation, wherein the default key date, Doc date and Posting date needs to be changed every month automatically. Is it possible?
Please let me know your thoughts.
    Warm regards,
    Murukan Arunachalam

    Hi
    Please follow this process.
Only specify fields that should be changed
Select these fields by entering an X in the checkboxes
Enter a U in the UPDATEFLAG field
Always specify key fields when changing the data, including in the checkboxes
The configuration is an exception here. If this needs to be changed, you need to complete it again fully.
Maintain quantities and dates in the schedule line data.
    1. Minimum entry:
You must enter the order number in the SALESDOCUMENT structure.
You must always enter key fields for changes.
You must always specify the update indicator in the ORDER_HEADER_INX.
    2. Commit control:
The BAPI does not run a database Commit, which means that the application must trigger the Commit so that the changes are read to the database. To do this, use the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT BAPI.

    Date Wise Financial Statements
    Hi Sharif,
    Greetings for the Day,
I have a very small doubt in this.
While creating the BASIC SET in GS01: say CALLED.... here we are giving FROM VALUE as 50000 - CALLED UP CAPITAL NOT PAID.
Can you explain me on this.
Is this 50000, which we give here or the one we have to pick from GL (FS00) ??
Since, this calledup capital I cannot find in my GL (FS00).
Similarly all, the other BASIC SET`s aswell ?
Also, can we take all the GL`s available in my comp code instead ?? if so where ??
    Please suggest, thanks.
    Thanking in Advance,
    Raghav.
