Including a class file into classpath at runtime.

Hi all,
I need to include a class file into classpath for at runtime. But the problem is tht this class file is produced by some other application n i nedd it to make the connection.(Actully i m trying to make SSL connection with other server whc requires the class file generated frm tht server must be in to classapth of the JVM.) How can i achieve this?
I am trying to find out the ways to include the class file into classpath through Java pgm. But will it be done in case web application , if yes thn how?
Thnx in advance
~Gaurav

I would also like to add that we created another test class : Test.java in the same directory as the TestAccessClass.java and compiled this alone :
javac -classpath ../../../../jars/ Test.java
and it compiled fine without any errors !!
This class also had the same single statement :
String testVar = TestClass.getString(null);

You don't add to YOUR classpath once your app is launched.
You create a NEW process for the app you want to run and provide the proper environment for it to run in - including any PATH or CLASSPATH environment variables.
The Java API for the ProcessBuilder class has a simple example that shows how to create the arguments and launch an external application.
ProcessBuilder (Java Platform SE 7 )
There are also PLENTY of other examples of using ProcessBuilder; just search the net.

  • How to include a .class file in a jsp page

    hi everyone,

then also the same problem persists
    & if i use
    <jsp:include page = "Relative address"/>
the problem still remains as it is...
please help me out...i am working on developing an EJB application in which client interacts with server's Stateful session bean through a jsp page...it is necessary for me to include the home interface class file in my jsp page.
P.S. do not suggest me to include the class file in a package & then use

"package University does not exist".How can i overcome this problem. The package University, which you are trying to import, must be in the classpath. If you removed it then you will have to add it back.
i have tried my best..but tell me if there's any possible way of including a class file in the jsp page without involving a package. No, there isn't.
If not, then pls help me to generate the class file of my home interface within a package called test.Read the New To Java Tutorial and understand how packages work.

  • How to include external .js file into .ear file using NetBean 5.5.1?

is it possible to include external .js file into .ear file using NetBean 5.5.1? if not, then where should I placed the external .js file and how to write the src="xxx" element? (that is , how to write the path of "xxx"?)
I am using JBOSS 4.2.2 GA as server
    thx!!

Even this is also not possible because, the code in that package is developed by DWR and i am just adding it to my lib folder and importing the respective classes. In the same manner i need to include the *.js* file in the JSP.It took me about 3 minutes reading through the [DWR Getting Started|http://getahead.org/dwr/getstarted] page to learn that you don't have to do any of that. Perhaps you should read that page?

  • Can we make the .class file into executable one? Urgent

I just made some java programs, which consist of some GUI and robot, and I need to make them into executable file, mean .exe file. From this forum, there was a suggestion to use Excelsior JET that can make .class files into .exe files.
and when I tried to use the program, it did the job well, but when I try to put the .exe file into another PC, it can not run as if I run it on the system that I made the .exe file.
Is there anyone experience this before? is there other solution? and is the the .exe file that has just been generated already include all .class file that are needed by the main .class file that has been converted into .exe?
    Thnks for the helps...

    It is sort of possible.
A good way of doing this is to use an application called Install Anywhere. With this, you can create an installation file for your application, and it does create an executable. Ive used this a few times myself, and it is really easy to use.
I think another app to do this is one called JToExe (i think), and this basically creates an executable.
    I hope this helps,

Can anyone tell me as how to convert a .jar OR a .class file into a .exe file
I need to know as soon as possible.

Okay I will tell you the steps:
Look in the top right hand corner of the page.
There should be a box with a red title line. Inside the
    title should be the letters 'S E A R C and H'.
In the white part of th box should be a smaller line, in which you can type.
type in "conversion .jar .class .exe" or some similar string.
Then click on the button next to the text box.
Read the page of results you get.
Click on the first link and read what is said on the connecting page.

  • Importing a .class file into my package?

Hi. I'm making a java program but I need to use an external .class file to get variables and use methods from. Is it possible to "import" a class file into my package to be able to do so?
    Thanks

Basically, for our last project we created a class
that held the information about a year: how many days
were in a month, how many months were in a year, etc.
etc. For this project, we'll be having to use that
same class to make a GUI calendar. Our teacher
provided a class which he compiled for us to use in
our projects incase our previous class had some flaws
in it, which mine did. Unfortunately, it's in .class
format and I don't know how to use it in my package! That's going to be a problem then. I would assume that it is going to have an API like your old one did. Same name and same methods etc. So do you know what the name and method signatures of your class were supposed to be?

Put it into a package. Classes in packages can't access classes with no package, since about 2003.

You are using w that you have not done anything with.
Add following code to the begining of your cinstructor:
    w = this;
    Then it should work.

  • Beginner: Can't convert a hello.class file into a jar file: HELP PLEASE!!!

Hi, I created a hello.java file, converted into a hello.class file by using the java 2SDk compiler. The problem is that the hello.class file is in a directory I created: C:\JavaBuilder\hello.class
I have a problem converting the hello class file into a jar file. I don't know which approach to take. I've looked at tutorials...but I keep getting more confused each time I view the tutorials on creating jar files. Please can someone help..by taking me through a step by step process. Please be explicit and do not leave or assume that I know any details because I'm a new born beginner. Thank you very much, I seriously appreciate it.

Hi i did as you suggested, only with these exceptions:
    jar -cvf hello.jar C:\JavaBuilder\hello.class
    I did this and got the message: "adding : C:\JavaBuilder\hello.class (in=1150) (out=708) (deflated=38%)"
The problem is that when I tried to execute the jar file...by typing: " java -jar hello.jar" I received the error message: "Failed to load Main-Class Manifest attribute from hello.jar" Is there any way to correct this problem? please help, thank you.

Does anyone know a good install shield program for Java? I'm currently using a program called Install4J.
