Incompatible PDB format in 'filename'; delete and rebuild

Hi !
I have installed VS 2012 , but i have VS 2010 also. After I open  VS 2010 projects with VS 2012 and  click "update", but while i debug it ,there is a error message:
LINK : fatal error LNK1207: incompatible PDB format in 'C:\Users\Admir\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\nr.fjaleve.while\Debug\nr.fjaleve.while.pdb'; delete and rebuild.
What can I do to solve this?
verify

Hi verify,
It seems that it is not the VS debug issue.
LINK : fatal error LNK1207: incompatible PDB format in 'C:\Users\Admir\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\nr.fjaleve.while\Debug\nr.fjaleve.while.pdb'; delete and rebuild.
Please Clean and Rebuild your app under “Build” menu, check it again. If still no help, maybe you could delete it manually, and then rebuild it again. Hope it could help.

  • Automated Delete and Rebuild of BIA Indexes

We have several cubes that we will be loading into BIA that use non-cumulative key figures.  We have heard that it is necessary to periodically rebuild these indexes to keep the BIA performance high.  My question is how do we automate this process?  I don't see a process chain step or program for deleting an index.
There is program RSDDTREX_AGGREGATES_FILL, but will this rebuild an index if it already exists?

    Hi
Deleting and rebuilding the Cube indexes will improve the the loading performance.
It is very much required for for Full loads and Big loads.
When it comes to Delta loads or Small loads, then it depends upon the volume of data you are going to get.
Say like you are getting below 10000 records in daily delta's, then i think no need to delete and rebuild indexes.
If you know that you will get more than1 lack records, then it's good to go for deletion and rebuild of indexes.
Example : I load an Infocube once by week in full upload (3 millions of records) after deleting all the content of the previous week. Is it a good idea to add steps of deleting/rebuilding indexes in this case ?
In this case, it is required.
Note: 1) If you want you can test in your development system, run the same load first time by deleting indexes and second time without deleting the indexes. you will come to know the time difference.
    2) Anyhow deletion and rebuilding of indexes step will take less than 2 or 3 mins time unless if you have huge volume of uncomressed data in your cube.

    Venkatesh.

  • Spotlight perferences damaged-delete and rebuild?

Hello. It seems my Spotlight preferences are damaged. Symptoms are:
    – From System Preferences to open Spotlight preferences either doesn't work at all or takes very long
    - Spotlight menu keyboard shortcut / Spotlight window keyboard shortcut don't work, neither one chosen from the pulldown menu, nor one iserted manually. Any shortcut inserted manually doens't stick (doesn't appear when opening the opening the preferences pane next time).
Spotlight.prefPane sits in System/Library/PreferencesPanes. Can I safely delete it and have it rebuild on restart? Or do I misinterpret the problem?
    Thanks a lot

Hey, I believe we are running into more troubles.
System Preferences don't show spotlight preferences item anymore
This means that the Spotlight application was deleted from the system preferences pane. If you haven't emptied the trash from after removing the Spotlight.prefpane then open the trash and drag it back in. You will get the Spotlight back in the system preferences.
Check the behavior of the System preferences pane and if the issue persists, consider a disk utility repair after booting from the disk. http://kb.wisc.edu/helpdesk/page.php?id=3810.
I am on a research to find out a solution

  • JmaskField and delete and backspace

I am using this package for formatted input.
Delete and backspace do not work if the field is created with a default text as in the code snippet I attach. Did somebody managed this to work? How? delete and backspace work badly in everycase anyway.

    MaskMacros macros = new MaskMacros();
    macros.addMacro('*',"[a-zA-Z0-9]");
    macros.addMacro('#', "[0-9]");
    macros.addMacro('@', "[a-zA-Z]");
    macros.addMacro('%',"[A-Z]");
    macros.addMacro('*',"[a-zA-Z0-9]");
    MaskField2 k = new MaskField2("CODE******",macros);

It's quite possible.  Closing the document and then re-opening it somehow magically reset the keys so that they work now.  Thanks for the response, though!

Nope, I don't think those keys are even "firing" as another person worded it. I can push the buttons down, so they aren't stuck but it doesn't seem to be sending any signal.

  • Photoshop Elements 8-Change of file format when saving deletes filename

I have been using Photoshop Elements 8 since last May and have always been irritated that when I add text to a photo it always defaults to PSD format for saving.  I have gone to the preference options to see if I can set jpg as the default and it does not offer that option.  This means that every time I save after adding text I have to manually select jpg to get the format to change.
Although this has been a pain, I have done it thousands of times as I have edited photos.
My problem is that suddenly from one day to the next when I change from PSD option to jpg the filename disappears and I have to go back and manually type in the whole filename.  The only changes to my computer settings that I can think of that might have affected this is that Microsoft Updates had 2 updates.  First was Definition for Windows Defender-KB915597 and the other was Unpdate for Windows 7 for x64 based systems-KB97690.
I saw a similar problem posted by sandwitch2 on Feb. 13th about PSE6.  99jon suggested the change to permissions of adding "everyone".  I tried this and it did not correct the problem.
    Any other suggestions are welcome.
I have found Adobe's insistance on saving as PSD irritating to say the least in the past.  The inability to change this in preferences has made me very unhappy, but the quality of their product has outweighed the hoops they make me jump through until this.  Their search feature in support is pretty much worthless.  It either brings up nothing if you keyword is to limiting or brings up 200 responses if it if too broad.
I have been a user of Photoshop Elements for over 6 years updating as new editions have come out. I am to the point that if I can't get this current problem fixed I am uninstalling Elements 8 and going to another software.  Adobe's proprietary requirements and poor support page are just too much of a pain to deal with.

I was told that if I save in PSD if I send the photos to share with others only those with Photoshop Elements can open the files.  That is why I try to use jpg.  Is that true?
Thanks for all the help from both of you,
    Bettye

  • I have an external hard drive that was formatted by a PC and has files and directories etc. I want to format it and use it on my IMAC for backup but I can't seem to write to it nor can I delete current content. How do I initialize it for use with the MAC?

I have an external hard drive that was formatted by a PC and has files and directories copied to it etc. I want to use it on my IMAC for backup. I see it on my my IMAC . I can open files etc.  But I can't seem to write to it nor can I delete current content. I don't care if I lose current content. How do I initialize it for use with the MAC?

You can't write to it because it's formatted as NTFS which OS X will read but not write to. If you want to continue using the drive with both a PC and OS X you will need to download and install NTFS-3G so you can then write to it from your Mac. You can get NTFS-3G at:
    http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/24481/ntfs-3g
If you want to use the drive exclusively with your Mac then move the data off it and reformat it in Disk Utility (Applications - Utilities - Disk Utilities) as Mac OS Extended (Journaled.)

  • IPad won't open iBooks - error message that book isn't formatted correctly, iPad is fully updated and I've tried deleting and reloading iBooks - only thing that has happened between when it used to work and now doesn't is that I took the iPad to singapore

iPad used to open iBooks purchased off iTunes no problems but since I took my iPad overseas on holiday it no longer opens iBooks - they appear to download ok but when I tap to open the book I get an error message saying the book isn't formatted correctly or is in a format that iBooks doesn't recognise. I have tried
    - deleting and reloading iBooks
    - making all updates have been done
    - turning on and off airplane mode
    And still have the problems
Did ask iTunes help but so far no joy - appreciate help please

Ok, I got the 1.3/1.4 thing straight now. There was a java.exe in System32 that I now see the PATH was calling first.
And in the TextPad version of the problem, I was curious -- I don't remember setting the specification of the executable called by the Run Tool button, but I must have at some point. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and it created a default button that apparently points to what it's supposed to point to, since it now works and runs my program OK.
Still, I wonder how it can be that explicitly directing the button to C:\j2sdk1.4.0\bin\java.exe makes TextPad's Command Results Window say "NoClassDefFoundError"
I'm up and working now, but if anyone has a clue I can learn from on the TextPad issue, thanks

  • Selective deletion for particler cube and rebuild of aggrigates in Psystem

    Hi Friends,
1.In my manage data target screen i have 8 cubes but i want do selective deletion from 1st cube ..how i can do ..?
Im thinking like...IN DETILS column i will select.one data target and then i will go to contents tap and then selective deletion for paricler requst ID...is correct to do selective deletion for particler data target out of 8 cubes..plz tell me
2.in production ...while doing selective deletion ...aggregates are failed...means status is in red color...
now,how can i create or build or rebuild those aggrgates again...please and my qns...
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
    1. technically Yes its ok to do selective deletion of only 1 cube, incase of delta load you will have to do selective reload to only that cube otherwise data for that perticular selection will get doubled in rest of 7 cubes.
Actually depends on situation in which you plan to do so.
    2. its possible to aggreegates get affected due t selective deletion.
Just go to manage->rollup tab of cube and rebuild agreegates.
    Hope this helps.

  • I've purchased numerous books through itunes and now I'm unable to open ibooks; I get a "book format error, delete and redownload" which I've done numerous times with negative results.

I've purchased numerous books through the itunes store in which I was able to read.  Now I'm unable to open some of the ibooks that I've purchased, I get an error message...book formate error, delete and redownload, which I've done numerous times with negative results.  What are my options?

within the receipt that Apple sent to you via email is a Report a Problem link. use that link to report your issue.
also you could try a basic reset and see if that resolves your issue. hold down the Lock button & Home button at the same time for ~15 seconds, the iPad should then perform a reset.

You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).
Once you are using the "Firefox" button ...
Use the "Alt" key to view the menu bar (temporarily) containing File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. On Windows 7 and Vista, the menu bar was hidden by default in Firefox 4 and above. These menu items are more or less available under the "Firefox" button which has the most used of the built-in Firefox menu items available in a different format.
To get back to having menus again. "Firefox" button -> Options (second column) -> (check) Menu Bar
You can make '''Firefox 7.0.1''' look like Firefox 3.6.*, see numbered '''items 1-10''' in the following topic [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 thru 8.0, look like 3.6)]. • How to correct "An incompatible audio signal" with Apple TV and HD signal

I have an Apple tv2(mc572Ll/a) running version 4.4.4 of the software, connecting to an older Sharp Aquos LCD-26d6u TVvia a regular HDMI cable.
I used to be able to watch a rented movie until my onsitel technician/ teenager adjusted something.
Now when the preview plays the sound works. When a video is displayed using AirPlay from the iPhone the sound works.
But when the HD movie plays the message "an incompatible audio signal has been received. Check the output device settings" and there is no sound.
When I connect this to a newer HDTV the movie sound works.
Any suggestions on what Apple tv or tv settings to use to get the sound back (other than upgrading my technician/teenager/tv)?

Thanks!  I changed the Dolby setting from On to Auto, and the sound started working for Netflix TV shows.  Before I was getting the message:
Incompatible audio format received check output device settings
    and there was no sound.
The Settings are accessed through Apple TV.   When you have Apple TV on, and you see all the colored rectangles for Netflix, huluplus, HBO etc., (which can be accessed by repeatedly hitting the Menu button on the remote), the top row shows:
Movies   TV Shows  Music  Computers  Settings
Use the 4 way controller to choose Settings, then press the button in the center of the 4 way controller to select Settings.  Then select Audio Video.  Then scroll down to Dolby Digital.  When you are on Dolby Digital and you push the button in the center of the 4 way controller, the setting will change.  I changed the Dolby Digital setting to Auto.

  • Mail won't open.  It then says quit and rebuild and won't do that.  How to fix?

So I try to open mail but it hangs.  Then gives the option to quit or quit and rebuild.  It will quit but when I quit and rebuild it hangs and then just shuts off without doing anything.  Not quite sure what to do.
    Any help would be great.
    Steve

You would have to reinstall the OS using the Recovery Volume.
    Try running the combo update.
    10.8.5 Combo Update
If that doesn't work, try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account.  Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Solstice DiskSuite[TM] Software: How to Delete and Reset a Lost Root Password on a System With a Mirrored Root Disk [ID 1010755.1]
    Solution
    Steps to Follow
How to delete and reset a lost root password on a system with a mirrored root disk.
    1) Insert the Solaris[TM] Operating System CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
    2) Once the CD-ROM is in the drive, perform a stop-a. This brings the system down to the "ok" prompt.
    3) From the "ok" prompt, perform a single-user boot from the Solaris OS CD-ROM.
ok boot cdrom -s4) At the "#" prompt, determine which disk is the system's boot disk (containing the root file system). There are several Oracle architectures and various configurations of systems when it concerns a boot disk. As a general rule, most boot disks are attached to controller 0 (c0). Usually, their SCSI target is
either 3 (t3) or 0 (t0). However, Oracle machines are very flexible, and the boot disk could be at a different location. If you are not sure which disk is your boot disk, perform the following steps to determine the location of the boot device:
    a) # eeprom boot-device
The output might appear to be simple, such as "disk" or "disk1" or more complicated, such as a pathname "/iommu/sbus/espdma@4,8400000/...../sd@3,0:a".
    b) Make note of the boot-device. If the boot-device is a pathname, it is beyond the scope of this information to provide the location of the customized boot disk. However, for most configurations,
finding the customized boot disk is an easy task. The "Format" command shows all available disks:
    #format
    Searching for disks...done
    AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:
(enter its number): c) Enter d to exit format.
Now, you will have an idea what disks are on the system. Therefore, if the boot-device is "disk" and format shows "c0t0d0" (on some systems "c0t3d0") then that is the boot device. If boot-device
shows "disk1" and format shows "c0t1d0," then that is the boot device. If format shows multiple disks, then based on what the "eeprom boot-device" command shows, the system's boot disk would be:
    boot-device format
disk c0t0d0 or c0t3d0 (machine dependent)
    disk1 c1t0d0
    disk2 c0t2d0
    disk3 c0t3d0 or c0t0d0 (machine dependent)
    and so on ....
    5) Because the system was not brought down gracefully (no root password means having to use the Stop-a keystroke to "crash" the system), you need to run "fsck" to clean the root partition (slice). The fsckalso confirms that you selected the proper slice.
    # fsck /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0
where the X and Y are determined by the previous procedure. It is also possible to have a root partition which is not on slice 0 (s0), but, again, that is not a standard configuration.
The output of "fsck" looks like this:
    ** /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0
    ** last mounted on /
    ** Phase 1 .....
The second line in the output of "fsck" ("** Last mounted on /") confirms that this is the correct root filesystem partition. Answer "y" to any questions fsck asks. There shouldn't be too many items
needing repair. If there are, there is a possibility of a corrupted root filesystem. After fsck is finished, mount the root partition:
    # mount /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0 /a
Again, X and Y are the same as for the fsck command.
    For example:
    # mount /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0 /a
    6) From the root prompt, set the proper TERM type command (such as vt100, dtterm, sun, and so on)
    by entering this command:
    # TERM=sun; export TERM
    7) Use the VI text editor to edit the /etc/shadow file:
    # vi /a/etc/shadow
    8) The first line of the /etc/shadow file is the one you want to modify.
    It looks like this:
    root:c3.yAVmYodWsc:6445::::::
    9) Delete every character between the first and second colons in the first line of the file. When you finish deleting the characters, the line should look like this:
    root::6445::::::
    10) Press the Escape key, then enter the following to save the file and exit vi:
    :wq!
    11) Use the VI text editor to edit the /etc/system file andremove the "rootdev" line shown below:
    # vi /a/etc/system
    *rootdev:/pseudo/md@0:0,0,blk
Don't comment out the "rootdev" line. Actually remove it.
    12) In the /a/etc/vfstab file, replace the lines for the system filesystem meta-devices with their underlying partitions. For example, change lines from
    /dev/md/dsk/d0 /dev/md/rdsk/d0 / ufs 1 no -
    to
    /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0 /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0 / ufs 1 no -
ONLY change the lines for root (/) and the filesystems that were affected by the actions you took in step 1 of this procedure. All other metadevices may stay as is in this file.
    13) Unmount root, check the root filesystem, and then stop the system:
    # cd /
    # umount /a
    # fsck /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0
    # stop-a
    14) Boot to single-user mode:
ok boot -swTHIS STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT; YOU MUST BOOT TO SINGLE-USER MODE TO AVOID FILESYSTEM CORRUPTION.
If the system does not boot to single user mode, you might have made a mistake in the previous steps.
    15) Because the root password was cleared in an earlier step, press Return when prompted for the the root password. Once you are in single-user mode, you must clear the metamirrors and all the sub-mirrors for the root filesystem. For example, if root (/) is d0, run the following command:
    # metaclear -f -r d0
Running the metaclear command not only clears the metamirror but also clears the submirrors that are part of this mirror.
    16) When the metamirror is cleared, continue the boot up to multiuser mode by either pressing CTRL-D or by entering the following:
    # exit
Now everything should be as it was, except that the system partition is on the underlying partition and isn't mirrored. You will simply need to re-create the metadevices for the root mirror as you had originally.
    many thanks

    Hi,
    Halt your machine.
    Boot with fail-safe mode.
format and list out the disks. (You can get the root & mirror disk (c#t#d#) details from /etc/lvm/md.tab of your root or mirror disk. Earlier explorer output may help)
Mount the root disk and remove the password entry in /etc/shadow
    umount it.
Mount the mirror disk and remove the password entry in /etc/shadow
    umount it.
    reboot the server.
    Hope this helps!

  • Receiver JDBC: Error while doing the Deleting and Inserting new records

    Hi All,
I am doing Idoc to JDBC scenario. In this I am collecting & bundling different type of Idocs and then sending to the JDBC receiver. My requirement is to delete the existing records in the database and insert the new records. I have configures as mentioned in the link
Re: Combining DELETE and INSERT statements in JDBC receiver
In the above link its shows for single mapping. In my scenario I am using multi mapping for collecting idocs in BPM. If I configured for normal mapping then it is working fine(Deleting existing records and Inserting new record). Whenever I am using multi mapping then I am getting following error in the receiver JDBC communication channel u201CError while parsing or executing XML-SQL document: Error processing request in sax parser: No 'action' attribute found in XML document (attribute "action" missing or wrong XML structure)u201D . Can you please tell me what might be the problem.
    Thanks & Regards,
    T.Purushotham

    Hi !
    check this out:
JDBC - No 'action' attribute found in XML document - error
JDBC receiver adapter: No 'action' attribute found in XML document
It appears that the inbound payload (the one that is going from XI to the JDBC adapter) does not have the requiered tag to specify which SQL action to execute in the receiver system. Maybe the multimapping is not creating the desired output message format.

    Matias.
