Incomplete Purchase Orders

Hi All
I have a requirement to create a report to list all the incomplete Purcahse orders.is there any standard extractor that captures incomplete pos.I checked the 2LIS_02_ITM , HDR extractor and couldnt find the extractor.
Should i go for a generic extractor for this or is there any way that i can enhance any of these extractors.

Have you looked at the 0PUR_C01 Infocube ? It provides you details viz. GR Qty, Invoice Qty, PO Qty, Returns. Using these KF's you can easily find out the  Incomplete PO's.  Use the data sources you have mentioned to get the details related to Incomplete PO's. Not necessary that you need to have a standard extractor to pull this info (nor you have to create a generic one , if you can derive the results from the existing extractors).

    Business Process Description Overview
    A purchase order is a legal document issued by the buyer to the vendor to supply materials or service at the agreed price, terms and conditions. The Purchase Order forms the basis for all follow-on activities like Goods Receipt, Invoice Verification, etc. The Purchase Orders can be created directly by entering all the required data, copying already created purchase order, with reference to an RFQ/Contract or with reference to a PR.
    Purchase Order creation is possible only if sufficient budget allocation is there for the Fund Centers. It is not possible to create Purchase Orders for a Vendor who is blocked for procurement or not maintained in source list for that item. Also it is not possible to create PO for Quantity more than the PR quantity.
    All the price components which are to be paid to vendors and requires to be inventoried has to be included in PO.It is possible to add different vendors for delivery costs. The tax codes should be correctly maintained in PO for the purpose of Cenvat availment etc.
    The payment term defaulted from Vendor Master or RFQ has to be verified and changed if required.
    The incomplete Purchase Orders can be saved as HOLD document and later completed and saved thru Change PO menu

    Tips and Tricks
    The Purchase Orders can be created directly by entering all data required for creating PO or by copying another PO or with reference to RFQ/Contract/PR.To create a purchase order by copying existing document (PO/RFQ/PR), you can either select the desired document in the document overview   .and adopt it in the current purchase order in the right-hand area of the screen using the ADOPT button   .In addition you can drag it onto the shopping basket symbol   with the left-hand mouse button. 
    Click the Personal Settings button on the tool bar, this function is for default information for purchase order header data and also purchase order item data.  This will reduce the amount of redundancy in the data entry, i.e. plant, company code.
    One Purchase Order may be created for several purchase requisitions
    Procedural Steps
    1.1.     Access transaction by:
    Via Menus     Logistics èMaterials ManagementèPurchasingèPurchase OrderèCreateèVendor/Supplying Plant Known.
    Via Transaction Code     ME21N
    1.2.     Double-click   
    On screen “Create Purchase order”
    On screen select Domestic Purchase order in this screen . You can also select other document if you want to create other. Here drop down menu is available.
    Click   to enter the organization data.
    Screen will change in the header; enter data as given in the table below:

    Click   to see and to change the Tax Code at item level.
    Select    to view the taxes applied on the line item.
    click   to go back to the previous screen .
    On the main screen in the same tab if you want to change the taxe select the tax code from the drop down available
    After selection again, Select    to view the taxes applied on the line item.
    If you want to add more conditions click   tab and enter the conditions from the drop down
    You can also maintain the text at item level by clicking   tab.
    After completeing this all click   to check wether here is any error in the purchase order , If there will not
                             ↓
    any error then on the screen following line will appear.
    If there will be some error the system will throw the message on the screen
    select the line item and click   to see the detail of the error.
    close this window now and goto main screen to rectify the error.
    After rectifying the error again click   to check wether here is any error in the purchase order.
    Now click   to save the purchase order, after clicking the button the following message will appear

  • Purchase Order output to be blocked in ECC when the PO is technically Incom

    First of all I would like to say that, I have searched the entire forum for this issue & as i could not find any thread relating to this, I am posting.
    We have implemented SAP GTS & whenever a purchase order is created in ECC system and due to Business partner missing or Legal Unit missing in GTS, the document is created as Technically incomplete in GTS.  Inspite of technically incomplete, the ECC users are able to print out the PO.  We have implemented a SAP note for blocking the purchase order output when the customs Import document is Blocked in SAP GTS.
    Could anyone let me know if we have any OSS note for blocking Technically incomplete purchase order's or is there any workaround to prevent the output from being printed.

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to block PO output as well so we implemented Note 900555. But how does it work? We do not see anything anywhere on the PO that would prevent output. We have POs that are blocked in GTS and nothing is any different on the PO. The note doesn't really explain how it works either. We assumed that the Output logs would also show a message of some sort.
    In addition, when this note references blocking "output" is it only meant for blocking print? Or can it block electronic transmission as well?
    If we can't get this note to work, we are thinking of adding GTS to the PO Release Strategy, in order to block transmission of anything to the supplier.

  • Purchase orders in Incomplete status though they are approved

    Hi,
    We have many purchase orders in Incomplete status though the respective requisitions are approved and once requisitions are approved PO's are auto created with suppliers having approved CPA
    Any help?

    Our PO's are autocreated upon approval of requisitions.
    Errors were noticed in the POAPPRV workflow at the Activity = "Document Failed Correctness Check"
    Charge account is invalid
    Cause: The charge account that you entered is invalid.
    Action: Enter a valid charge account.

    Cause: The accrual account that you entered or that was derived is invalid.

    Found a few on metalink however they were for different error. (Buyer inactive and No ship to)

  • Technical mapping incomplete for Purchase Order when we change address.

    Hello Experts,
      When we change the delivery address manually in the Purchase Order item we are getting the message 'Customs Business Partner Required'.  In the GTS system the PO status as Technical Mapping Incomplete. 
      Our system is configured to take the delivery address from the plant automatically.
      If we don't change the address manually in the PO we are not having any issue. 
      Please help me with this, this is very ungent.  Thanks in advance.

    Please counter check your configuration/mapping  per the SAP Configuration guide.

    hi Jian,
    Go into the PO using ME22N, check whether there is any warning message in it.Complete the PO and then only save it.
    Also check whether the PO is to be released,if it is yes then Release it and then create Entry Sheet using ML81N.wrt PO.
    Also check whether you are referencing a park or hold PO.

  • Import standard Purchase Order process and interface tables

    Hi all,
    We are populating three PO interface tables from our custom developed application. PO_HEADERS_INTERFACE, PO_LINES_INTERFACE and PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE. We are using 11.5.10.2 version of Oracle Apps.
    Initially we did not manage to populate the distributions interface table, but, now we are populating it. And after doing so, when we run the Import standard Purchase Order process for 'Approved' POs, the process_id for even the record which has correct distributions info also gets 'Rejected' as a value. The process is considering a mix of records : the approved POs that DO NOT HAVE distribution info in PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE (which we had not managed to populate) and the approved POs that HAVE distribution info in PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE.
    does the Import standard Purchase Order process populate partial data that could be good or it rejects the whole lot of records?
    Can anyone guide on this issue?

    Another piece of info I would like to share is
    I have run the process for an approved PO with distributions info in PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE. This time no mixed data. In PO_INTERFACE_ERRORS table, an entry was found: for column name : PO_DISTRIBUTION_ID in ERROR_MESSAGE column 'Error: Has no distributions'.

    After carrying out number of tests, I have found out that
    1) if the approval_status for the po is 'Approved' in the po_headers_interface table, it gives the above mentioned error and the process_id is 'rejected'.
    2) if the approval_status for the po is 'Incomplete' in the po_headers_interface table, the process add the 'accepted' value for the process_id. But, the charge account number is not populated in shipments.

    There has been some progress on this issue. The process sees distributions data into the PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_INTERFACE table. Yet the following errors are found in the process log file:

  • Purchase Orders in Oracle 11i

    Hi Can some one let me know whether in 11i Oracle, the purchase orders can be closed automatically when supplier invoice is booked. I know when GRN is done in full, the PO gets closed automatically for receiving goods. But later on the POs have to closed manually and then to be Permanently Closed manually.

    Different version of a PO are stored in the PO%ARCHIVE% tables, ie PO_HEADERS_ARCHIVE_ALL, PO_LINES_ARCHIVE_ALL, etc.
    New version of a PO document is generated depending of your setting "Archive on", the value can be "Approve" or "Communicate" (when you approve the document or when you "print" it in order to send it to the supplier)
    This setting is available in the menu Setup -> Purchasing -> Document Type (depend of your document type) from the PO admin resp.
    Of course if an incomplete PO is deleted nothing is stored in the "Archive" tables.

    I am looking for one way which can check which purchase order ( only for trading goods ) link to which inbound delivery ....
    Now my way is use the purchase order number as a condiction to check in LIPS table , but i think this is a stupid way , right ?
    In fact , i am writing one report which can show all the Open Purchase Order ( Only for trading goods and already created the inbound delivery & shipment costs ) which can do the MIGO without the problems ....
    Has any way to check it ?

    2. Purchasing Interface Errors Report
    이 report는 Oracle Purchasing에서 사용가능하며 Import Standard Purchase Orders program을 실행시 발생하는
    error를 강조한다.
    Tracing
    11.5.10 이상의 version에서 Import Standard Purchase Orders program의 trace를 생성:
    1. Navigate to System Administrator responsibility
    2. Navigate to Profiles->System
    3. Query the Profile Option Concurrent: Allow Debugging and set it to Yes at User level
    4. Navigate to Purchasing responsibility
    5. From the Requests form, choose the Import Standard Purchase Orders program and set the required Parameters
    6. Click the Debug button
    7. Check the SQL Trace checkbox and specify Trace with Binds and Waits
    8. Submit the Concurrent program
    9. Retrieve the trace file created.
    Logging
    Import Standard Purchase Orders program의 FND Deug Log 생성:
    1. Log_seq를 아래 SQL을 이용하여 확인.
    select max(log_sequence) from fnd_log_messages;
    2. Set the following profiles at the user level:
    FND: Debug Log Enabled = YES
    FND: Debug Log Filename = NULL
    FND: Debug Log Level = STATEMENT
    FND: Debug Log Module = %
    3. Run Import Standard Purchase Orders program
    4. Using a SQL client run the following query :
    Select * from fnd_log_messages
    where log_sequence > &log_seq_noted_above
    order by log_sequence;

  • Change Purchase Order type ,price before auto creation of PO through MIGO?

    I have reuirement  infront of me.
    We are creating return Purchase order through MIGO for Non-ordered items.
    Purchase Order is created automatically by SAP.
    I need to change its Purchase Order type  , Net Price , Order Price Unit .
    Is it possible to modify the content before the creation of this PO.
    Please help me .

    We are not using BPA ; is there any solution involving ASL and/or Sourcing Rule which can be used to meet the User requirement.There certainly is. It involves using either Blanket Purchase Aggreement (which you don't have) or using Quotes.
    Once you have created either of those, simply create an ASL entry for the item(s), attach the Quote or BPA to the ASL entry; create a sourcing rule.
    Once these setups are done, when a requisition is created and approved, it will get converted into a PO automatically.
    And depending upon the value you enter in the "Release method" field on the ASL screen (and your PO workflow attributes), the PO will be created in incomplete status or it can be automatically submitted for approval.

  • Purchase order Personalization- Need Help

    Hi friends
    Good Day , i have created an alert in the Purchase Order creation screen to notify the buyers when the PO Price entered for the item is different from the standard cost. so i have have set the profile option 5% .I have set this profile option X % as setting that can be changed if needed in the future.
    so that when the price for the item differs +/- 5% .it alerts the buyer that Po price differs from standard cost > or < 5 % .and now it gets over and the po is also created for the purchase order +/- 5% .
    And now if i have created po order for item giving some 4% difference from the standard cost.so what it happens is i wont get the alert since it differ only by 4% and the po is created. lets take an example that PO order no is some 123456
    Now i have a requirement that is the user wishesh to change the PO profile option to 3 % .And if they query back the PO no 123456 .what it happens i ll get the alert that Po price differs from standard cost > or < 3 % since i have given the item cost is 4%.
    My Requirement

    what is my requirement is i should not get this alert since i have have created the PO:123456 for the item when it is 5%. when i query back the old record which i have created for 5% it should not give me an alert unless the item cost is changed ..
    please give me any suggestion what can be done for this ..

    In my script were should i want to use this

    the user may change the profile option whenever he required.so instread of giving the paricular date what can be the alernative one
    once the profile option changed and queried back the same PO number i should not get the alert message unless a modifaction done in material cost..since it is created for the previous profile option

    Instead of the PO you can already make the commodity code and country of origin  in the material master mandatory.
    The import procedure should default from info record.
    Accurate maintenance of master data avoids problems in transactional data.
    For the PO you can customize incompletness schemes that makes the fields required.
    No an option for parameter is not available

  • GTS 7.2 - Error with account assigned purchase order without material

    All,
    I am creating an account assigned purchase order without any material master in the feeder system (ECC 5.0) and it a standard SAP functionality.
    I am getting the following GTS related pop up message and documents are posted to technically incomplete documents in GTS 7.2.
    "Legal Control: Custs Prod. Mast. Required
    Material                                                  "
    Any ideas on how get rid of this error message

    James,
    Even though material numbers are not mandatory on POs in the feeder system (ie in ECC) they ARE mandatory in SAP-GTS.
    This means that every line item (PO, SO, delivery) that is sent to GTS for compliance screening or Customs processing MUST have a material number in the feeder system.  You have a couple of options to resolve this:
    1. Always use a material number on all transactions that you enter in your feeder system if they are exports or imports (ie relevant for GTS). You can create service materials or "dummy" materials in ECC for items such as user manuals, warranties or installation services that are part of a particular shipment.
    2. You can add logic in the interface for GTS to always transfer a particular material number to GTS if the material number is blank on the line item of the feeder system document.  Ideally you would want to link this custom logic to a custom maintenance table in ECC so that you can easily change the material number that is sent to GTS without having to change the code.
    3. Override the error message by changing the message type to a warning or informational message (not recommended because this would require a small code modification because I don't think the message type is configurable for this error).  Even if you did make this code change you would likely run into more issues in GTS because license determination and other GTS services need a material number to function properly.
