Incorrect date in Printer Status Report

I just changed a print cartridge today for an Officejet 6500 wireless.  The printer system date is today 8-19-11.  The Printer Status Report ink install date [#53 on the report] shows 8-13-11.  Why?  Thanks, Apuleius

I beleive the printer only stores the date to the nearest week.

• Printer Status Report

Printer: HP Photosmart 5515 on the label (but HP Photosmart 5510d B111h on the Printer Status Report).
Operating system: Win 7
Why does item 25 in my Printer Status Report show incorrect "Ink Install" dates? Depending on the colour, the date of installation of each ink cartridge is given as four or five days earlier than the actual date of replacement.  I would have thought that the date would be exactly as per my desktop computer to which the printer is connected via a USB cable.
The printer is less than one year old and has given the incorrect dates from the moment the original set-up cartridges were replaced.

HI LincsP,
You are correct that the dates should in fact change and show the exact dates. This will not affect your ability to print or print quality at all. It may have something to do with you needing a product update. You can click here to find out how to check for a product update on your printer.
When it's time to change a cartridge next time print the Status report before you replace it and then again right after you replace it. If the same thing happens please scan the sheets and attach them to this thread for me to look at.
Let us know what happens.

     Hello emmandell,
Welcome back to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you would like to learn how to view your page count without having to print a Printer Status Report.
The information can be viewed online using the printer's embedded web server (EWS).  Please follow the steps below:
1)       Press the wireless icon  on the front panel of the printer to find the printer's ip address.
2)      Type the ip address of the printer into the address bar of your browser, this will bring up the EWS. I recommend that you bookmark this web page for future use.  Then please click on 'Tools' tab.
3)      Click on 'Reports' along the left hand side menu
4)      This will print up a usage screen with the total page count shown across the top
Hope this helps you save on ink and paper.

• Office Jet 5740 Printer Status Report

What are the meanings of Items 25,26,27,28,29,30,31, 32 , 45,46,47  in the Printer Status Report ?

Greetings , I would be more than happy to help you by explaining the lines on your printer status report.
Since every printer report is slightly different for each model, just so I can be exact, would it be possible for you to scan the page and send it to me in a private message? On most reports, most of the line numbers you have listed are related to the fax setup. Since I don't have your exact printout, I used this example report as reference from this document; Officejet 5740 - An 'Out of Paper' Message.
The lines on this report are showing: 25= Fax Forwarding ... Forwards your fax to another number (just like call forwarding) 26= Auto Answer ... Whether or not the printer automatically answers the incoming call 27= Rings to Answer ... The number of rings the fax machine waits to answer the incoming call 28= Distictive Ring ... A distinctive ring service allows your phone system to add another phone number to the same phone line. When a call comes in on the distinctive ring number, the telephone rings with a ring sequence that is different than the standard ring tone. (Note: This  is a service setup through your phone provider) 29= (ECM) Error Correction Mode ... I recommend reading this Enabling or Disabling Error Correction Mode (ECM) 30= Fax to PC ... Settings related to receiving you faxes digitally on your computer 31= Faxes Sent ... total faxes sent from your printer 32= Faxes Received ... total faxes received on your printer ** You can learn more about your fax setup here; HP Printers - Sending and Receiving Faxes, or from the HP Officejet 5740 e-All-in-One series User Guide.  Lines 45,46,47 - I'm unsure because the example I have is not showing these lines. Again, if you could scan your report and send it to me in a private message I should be able to clarify those final lines. Here's how to send a private message if you need it. I look forward to hearing from you!   Thanks,

• What is the USE for a TEST PAGE/Printer Status REPORT

Have you read post or forums and a tech wants you to see if you can print a test page or Printer status report?
This is a test to make sure the printer's function is working correctly. Sometimes you can't print from your printer and everything is stuck and you may think it's the printer. If you can print this test page, then most likely it will be a software issue or connection issue.
The information contained in a test page can help diagnose a printer problem or to review information particular to the printer. Test pages can be printed by using the print control panel or the computer.
The print test page function prints a page with several cartridge print patterns and a numbered list containing printer specific information.
I hope this is helpful to the community.

• Incorrect date format in Crystal Report XI

I have a problem with date in reports if Day in date (yyyy/mm/dd) less than 12.
Problem is:
I create a report (through application). If I check the instance of the report created on Crystal Server (in Central Management Console) it's correct. If I try to download (open or save) this report to workstation (through application) Day and month changed places and date become incorrect.
Any attempts to play with regional settings in workstation did not help.
What is the problem here and how I can resolve the issue?
Any advices will be appreciated.

• En-CA Language has incorrect Date Format in SSRS report

When I set the Language on a Report to "en-CA", then dates are formatted as dd/mm/yyyy.
This differs from the OS default format of yyyy-mm-dd for en-CA.
Is there any way to tweak the date format for a specific Language in SSRS?
Please don't say I need to add Format() calls to all of the dates in the reports...  What I want to do is just give SSRS the correct date format for "en-CA" and let it do the work of formatting automatically.
www.spritehand.com | www.andybeaulieu.com

Hi Andy,
In Reporting Services, by default, formats for date are determined by the report server language at run time. The report server language is the language of the operating system on which the report server is installed. This language is determined by the regional
settings of the computer.
Generally, the report server language supports for all ten of the SQL Server languages. But the en-CA language is not supported by SQL Server. In this way, the report server uses the mostly closely matched language of the operating system as the language.
For example, the operating system is Canada English. Because Canada English and U.S. English are in the same language family, it chooses the SQL Server language resource that most closely matches Canada English (in this case U.S. English). So the date format
uses en-US format.

• Incorrect date format in excel reports

Hi,
Some Activity exported from Activity overview to excel have wrong date format. For example
Some have 21/04/2008 u2013 Correct
Some have 13/04/09 u2013 Incorrect
All the dateu2019s in the database seems to be correct like '2008-04-13 00:00:00.000'.
Client is using SAP B1 2005 SP01 PL-48. Is there any know issue?
I tried the same in B1 2007 upgrading the database. All the date seems to be correct when I export it here.
What may be the reason?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Regards,
Mohan

Hi Gordon,
It took some time for me to verify in the client machine.
I have changed the date format in both Business One and in the regional settings to DD/MM/YY. It seems to be ok however the appearances of date column in excel seems to be uneven.
04/10/09
04/11/09
           13/04/09
           14/04/09
           19/04/09
(Ignore the *)
I think, the problematic dates seem to be exported to excel in the paste special text format.
Any Idea why this is happening?
Regards,
Mohan

• Read Printer Status Data

Dear All;
I want to read the printer status data which are shown in the printer built in display (ink level, cartridge status, job status) in my PC. Can anyone help me how to do that? Is there any built in function or code that can access the printer control data?
I need to implement this for both offline and network printer.
Regards
Arefin

Hi,
Congo,That issue resolved by following process-
In solution manager use "MAI_TOOLS" transaction then "Acitvate expert mode" and select "Analysis" Tab.Under this tab there is one option "Check Directory consistency".By selecting this option then I entered "Technical scenario" T_SYS_MON and "Managed object name" as my managed object for which data was not reporting, then execute it.
There I found missing entry point configuration for my managed object. When I select reconfigure entry point then after few minutes data started to reporting.
But for the same metric data is reporting randomly. For few hours data comes and then again it becomes grey for few hours.I am observing this from last 30 hours.
Kindly suggest for this situation.

I am using the Report Generation toolkit vi's to create a report in Word that prints simple Title with test header and then appends a Table with measurement data. The problem is the measurement data in the table is from a previously printed report. This problem only exists when I Run the Report.exe from the "System Exec.vi". • How to Dynamically Select the Data File for a Report at Print Time

How do you configure a Crystal report to ask for the file to be reported on as the report is being printed, and allow the user to browse to the file?
The environment is Crystal Reports XI, SP3, with ODBC connection to Sage Timberline Office data version 9.7.  The client names their Payroll unposted time file each pay period, and also needs to report on their posted data file, depending on the time period for the report.  The client will need to select both the date range and the file name.
I have created a SQL statement in Add Command in Database Expert, which prompts for a file name, but it does not let you browse to select a file on the computer.
Therefore, in the prompts when they print the report, the parameter offers the user a default file name similar to the name they currently use, so they only have to change the payroll period end date in the supplied file name to run the report successfully.
The client is concerned that sometimes a user will name their data file differently, and not know how to input the file name into the Crystal report prompt at print time.
My research on dynamic prompts showed you can link to fields inside the data record, but I did not see a way to dynamically link to select the actual files used in the report.
Another question is that the naming convention used by the SQL query is different than the basic Windows file name, but I think I can handle that issue.
The actual file name is typically similar to:
04-10-11 BP NEW.PRT
However, in the SQL query, the record ID looks like:
PRT_00-00-00 BP NEW__TIME
The SQL Statement using a parameter is:
SELECT
"PRT_CURRENT__TIME"."Employee",
"EMPLOYEE1"."Employee_Name",
"PRT_CURRENT__TIME"."Date",
"PRT_CURRENT__TIME"."Units",
"PRT_CURRENT__TIME"."Job",
"JOB1"."BP_Emps_Used"
FROM
"PRT_CURRENT__TIME" AS "PRT_CURRENT__TIME"
INNER JOIN "JCM_MASTER__JOB" AS "JOB1"
ON "PRT_CURRENT__TIME"."Job"="JOB1"."Job"
INNER JOIN "PRM_MASTER__EMPLOYEE" AS "EMPLOYEE1"
ON "PRT_CURRENT__TIME"."Employee"="EMPLOYEE1"."Employee"
WHERE "JOB1"."BP_Emps_Used" = 1
AND
("PRT_CURRENT__TIME"."Date" BETWEEN
{?As of Date} - 41 AND {?As of Date})
UNION ALL
( SELECT
"PRT_NEW__TIME"."Employee",
"EMPLOYEE2"."Employee_Name",
"PRT_NEW__TIME"."Date",
"PRT_NEW__TIME"."Units",
"PRT_NEW__TIME"."Job",
"JOB2"."BP_Emps_Used"
FROM
"{?NEWPRT}" AS "PRT_NEW__TIME"
INNER JOIN "JCM_MASTER__JOB" AS "JOB2"
ON "PRT_NEW__TIME"."Job"="JOB2"."Job"
INNER JOIN "PRM_MASTER__EMPLOYEE" AS "EMPLOYEE2"
ON "PRT_NEW__TIME"."Employee"="EMPLOYEE2"."Employee"
WHERE "JOB2"."BP_Emps_Used" = 1
AND
("PRT_NEW__TIME"."Date" BETWEEN
{?As of Date} - 41 AND {?As of Date})

Hello,
Sorry you'll have to contact Sage on how to do this. We can help you once you get connected but we can't help you get around their connection methods.
There is no Preview Set Database Connection method you can use in CR Designer. The Designer assumes you select it first or use the Set Location option before previewing or refreshing the data.
If you are doing this in the Sage program itself we can't help you, you'll have to contact Sage for assistance.
Sage is an OEM Partner they are responsible for supporting their product and CR. If they have issues help you then they will contact us directly for assistance.

• R12 Payment Process Request Status Report adding extra columns to XML data.

In 11i, we had modified the Preliminary Payment Report to include extra columns ( invoice distributions). In r12 , that report is obsolete and Oracle introduced a new report "Payment Process Request Status Report". This request uses BI Publisher to generate the final report output. I am unable to modify the template since the XML output of the report does not
contain the invoice distribution account data. We need to know how can we modify the XML data to include the extra columns.
For Funds Disbursement Process ( Payment Instruction File) , Oracle provides IBY_FD_EXTRACT_EXT_PUB extensibility package to construct custom XML element structure that can be added to the payment XML extract generated by Oracle Payments. Do we have something similar for this report ? Are there any other options available ?
Thanks

Hi
The same package "IBY_FD_EXTRACT_EXT_PUB" works for payment process request status report also. Please add the logic to get the distribution data in this package and you will see the new XML tags in this report also.
Hope this helps.
