Incorrect job next_date time

hi,
I am facing the problem in one of the jobs whose next_date shows the time 01-Jan-4000 00:00:00.
JOB
LAST_DATE
NEXT_DATE
SCHEMA_USER BROKEN
INTERVAL
FAILURES
27214
23-Aug-2006 14:21:21
01-Jan-4000 00:00:00
STANDARDDBO Yes
sysdate + ((30)/(24*60*60))
16
I am using the query SELECT job,
to_char(last_date, 'DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:mi:ss') last_date,
to_char(next_date, 'DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:mi:ss') next_date,
schema_user,
decode(broken, 'Y', 'Yes', 'No') broken,
interval,
failures
FROM dba_jobs
where broken = 'Y' and schema_user NOT IN ( 'SYS','SYSTEM','REPADMIN' );
Could you pls help how can i resolve it as i receive the alerts continuously that the job is broken and it wud b in broken state till the time job is run...
many thanks

The job gets broken, if it encounters 16 contiguous failures (which is this case) or you explicitly call the dbms_job.broken(job_id, true). In both cases, the atribute broken is set to Y and next_date is set to 1-1-4000.
The next_date will be reset back when you reset the broken state using dbms_job.broken(job_id, false). However, the failure counter is not reset back to 0 until succesfull completion of the job. That means, if there is an error in the job procedure (the one specified in what attribute), the job will get broken again after the first attempt to execute it.
You can manualy force the job to run by calling dbms_job.run(job_id). Look in your alert log, if there is an error reported for the procedure executed by this job.
Best regards,
Martin

    Because the position name is not stored on either PA0000 or PA0001, the system "looks up" the name associated with the position each time it displays one of these infotypes.  It uses the start date of the infotype to get the name.
    Look at the start date on Infotype 0000 and Infotype 0001 for the person.  Are they different start dates?

  • How to schedule a job occurring time for 1 1/2 hour in sql server

    how to schedule a job occurring time for 1 1/2 hour in sql server

    Hi,
    This is a known issue in the previous SQL Server version and has been fixed in SQL Server 2012. You should be able to set 90 minutes and the change would be saved in SQL Server 2012.
    http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/346786/ssms-does-not-support-job-schedule-frequencies-greater-than-60-minutes
    Currently, you may schedule the job to occur every 1 hour or you may refer to the suggestion by Latheesh to get around this.
    Thank you for your understanding.

    Hi,
    Are you using the standard programm and print form or are you using your own?. Most of the printing issues happens because of own programms. Try with the standard and then you will be able to see why is this happening.

    You may have to do this several times.
    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom
  • WARNING -"You have entered an incorrect password 5 times. After 10 unsuccessful attempts your device data will be erased."
    Dear All, Good day!I just I really need your help badly with regard to my phone.  I used to charge the battery of my phone using USB cable on my laptop and today morning my phone is working just fine, but I was running out of battery so I tried to charge it. After few minutes, when I am about to use it, the lock code is not working anymore. I didn’t changed my password or done anything new and I am 101% sure that I have entered my password correctly. However, there’s a message showing : WARNING -"You have entered an incorrect password 5 times. After 10 unsuccessful attempts your device data will be erased."  The screen shows Incorrect Password (6/10), but I am entering my correct code again and again and still not working. I restarted it many times and still showing the same thing. Now, I can’t get in and use my phone. I tried to call my number and it still reachable. Thank you so much in advance
    To: JSanders, Hi there! thanks for spending time reading my queries and replying on it.YES! I am 101% positive with my security code. Thank God I was able to recover it and use my phone again. Just an input for those who might experience the same thing. Using Black Berry Z30, once you have the dialog box saying:WARNING -"You have entered an incorrect password 5 times. After 10 unsuccessful attempts your device data will be erased." and shows that you still have atleast 3-4 available chances to enter the code, just type "blackberry" thereafter another screen will pop-up and will ask to enter again your password. As long as you are 100% sure about your password, you'll be able to enter and get it back. Now, I am enjoying again my Z30.
  • How to capture the job start time
    Hi,
    how do i capture the time the job start running and the time the job end? when i query this
    SQL> select * from user_jobs;no column are showing when the job start time (only last_sec and next_sec). I want to copy user_jobs view into ajob_history table, like this:
    Job history table
    Job_start Job_end
    (?)     (last_sec)
    Why not add a log time into the job call itself? That way, you can collect the information yourself for the jobs you're interested in.
    So instead of the "what" parameter being "my_proc(p1, p2....)", change it to something like:
    declare
      v_start_time TIMESTAMP;
      v_end_time  TIMESTAMP;
    begin
      v_start_time := systimestamp;
      my_proc(p1, p2....);
      v_end_time := systimestamp;
      log_job_time('Unique identifier', v_start_time, v_end_time);
    end;and have the log_job_time process insert a row into a logging table that captures the name of the job and it's start and end time.
    That's if you can't include the timings in your procedure, of course.
  • PS CS6 sends same job multiple times
    Using PS CS6 on WIndows 7 64.  All drivers updated.  When I set 5 copies in the print menu, with either PSDs, TIFFs, or JPGs, PS sends the same job five times rather than telling the printer to just make 5 copies.
    This happens when using either the color laser or Epson R3000.  This does NOT happen when using non-CS6 products.  On a 25 print run, this takes an abnormally long time.
    What I HAVE found is that PS is NOT passing the information to the printer.  In other words, even though I set PS to multiple copies, when I click printer options the number of copies has not been passed to the driver.
    Is there a fix?
    I'm having the same issue with my Toshiba 451c. PS CS5.5 both 64 and 32 bit works fine except for the known bug, but it prints ONE JOB and the number of COPIES you set.
    PS CS6 64bit (I did not install 32 bit, maybe I will try this now) is printing SEPERATE JOBS.
    The number of copies in the printer dialog box just resets to 1, all other setting will stay if changed.
    This is very anoying and no one seems to have a fix for this.There are also not many people talking about this issue online that I can find.
    My CS 6 was installed on a fresh windows 8 install.
    Is everyone having this issue or is it only on certain macgines.
Go to Tcode SM37 & do a wildcard search on HR.. click on each Job to get the details & click on the 'Step' tab to get the name of the program tied to the job..
    you have definitely tried the correct steps, all you would need to do now is a back up & restore to factory settings. If after that the issue remains then you would most likely need a replacement unit.
  • Incorrect world clock time
    Hello,
    It seems that the iphone is incorrectly reporting the time for Sao Paulo, Brazil. In Washington, DC where I live, it's currently 8:30PM and the iphone is reporting the time is 9:30PM in Sao Paulo when in fact it's really 10:30PM in Brazil. Their timezone is currently 2 hours ahead.
    Is this a problem that I can fix?
    Thanks
    Maybe it's a daylight savings time thing? DST in various countries is on all different dates. Are those times only an hour off? Possibly they have gone to standard time and that throws everything off until we go back to it also.
