Incrementing a value based on a event

Hi,
I am stuck trying to increment a value based on an event within a while loop. Whenever the mouse is clicked, the value should increment by one. I am using LabVIEW 7.1 and any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Use a while loop and keep the current counter in a shift register. Inside the loop, use the mouse-down event to increment the counter. See attached simple VI example.

Essentially, you want to use the AfterProperties property to access the changed field value.
E.g.

How to trigger a report based on a event/stored proc or sql dts completion

I want to run/trigger a crystal report based on file existence or based on a stored proc/sql dts/a value present in a sql table. The way I want to do is schedule a crystal report in crystal enterprise and then run the report based on a event like file existence or based on a sql dts completion or a value existence in a sql table. We are using crystal reports v10.
I am not sure how we can do this, any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Timestamp data type on S[range C on E] constant value-based range windows

My questiong is about how can we use timestamp value on S[range C on E] constant value-based range windows.
I have a LotEvent which i should collect and sum lastQty data for last ten minutes of market time (sendDate)
A normal [range 600] query does not work for me because i would like to use the exact time which data has been generated by the market (sendDate).
Here is the event;

i have tried this cql after changing the sendDate data type to long which is the time in milliseconds value but it did not work.

The query above does not work also when sendDate is a String in "MM-dd-yyyy HH:mm:ss" format
At last i tried the following query with sendDate as time in milliseconds (long) value. It works! but i still would like to know how to use timestamp in S[range C on E] queries

It seems that you should configure the channel "lotInputChannel" as an application timestamped channel.
You can do that as follows -
- Have "sendDate" as a long and let its unit be milliseconds
- Use the following child elements of <channel> for the "lotInputChannel"
<wlevs:application-timestamped is-total-order="true">
<wlevs:expression>sendDate*1000*1000</wlevs:expression>
</wlevs:application-timestamped>
The multiplication by 10^6 is required since the units need to be converted into nanos
With this, you could use the query -
select symbol, sum(lastQty) as lastQty, 10 AS dataInterval
from lotInputChannel [range 10 minutes]
group by symbol
Of course, for the above to work, a requirement is that the value of "sendDate" is non-decreasing.
That is if e1 is before e2 in the "lotInputChannel" then e1.sendDate <= e2.sendDate

Increment the Value on the Target side

I am working on Proxy to SOAP Scenario in PI 7.1 and I have an unbounded structure on the sender side (Business Partner) which I will be receiving multiple records at a time and have the Unbounded Structure on the receiver side which I have mapped directly.
Here is the issue
Based on the no of Records on the Sender side I need to increment the value and assign it to Data element which is on the receiver side
For Instance
If have Business Partners as 4 on the sender side, I need to assign as ClaimsParty-001, ClaimsParty-002, ClaimsParty-003 and ClaimsParty-004 to one the data eleement on the receiver side, i.e Incrementing the value on the receiver side,
Experts Please let me know how can I do this

Digital Control Increment/Decrement Values

How can you change the values that a digital control increments and decrements? I want to have the data increment by a specific value based on another variable rather than by the default incremental value.

All you have to do is create a property node and select datarange/increment then right click on the property node and select change to write and then wire your variable to that. If this is going to be a subvi then you would want to wire a control to the property node so that you can input your variable.

Creation of service request based on an event in ECC

I want to create service request based on an event in ECC HR. For e.g. events can be employee leaving, Absence for longer period etc.

How to update the table value in the valuechange event?

I have an input field in the datatable with the valueChangeListener

After calling the valuechange method, the screen output doesn't update the cost.
How to update the table value in the valuechange event?

As you're misusing the valueChangeListener to set another input field, you need to skip the update model values phase. Otherwise the value set in the valueChangeListener will be overridden by the submitted value. You can do this by calling the FacesContext#renderResponse() inside the valueChangeListener method. This will shift the current phase immediately to the render response phase, hereby skipping the update model values and invoke application phases.

How to execute a mapping based on an event

Hi
I am on OWB 10.2.0.3. and Oracle 10.2.0.2. I have a mapping which is fine, deploys well, I can execute using the control manager.
I also created a schedule module in OWB, created a schedule for a specific date and time and also an interval, configured the mapping to this schedule. The mapping gets executed successfully at the scheduled time.
The requirement is this mapping needs to be executed by an external process (oracle but a different application in a different machine). The team owning this process is ready to insert a record in a table. Which I want to sense and execute this mapping.
I already have created a procedure so that this mapping can also be run from pl/sql. I can create an after-insert trigger in this table so call this procedure, but that will make the whole think synchronous and the external process will have to wait for this mapping to complete to proceed further which is not acceptable by them.
Is there a way I can check for the record in this table and exec the mapping from OWB?
Can somebody please help and provide me pointers how I can schedule a mapping based on an event (insertion of the record) without (preferably) or with Oracle Workflow.

The problem I have is the trigger will make it actually synchronous with the process that inserts the record in the table.
Even if I define the trigger as AUTONOMIUS_TRANSACTION, both the process will not parellel. setting this I can have commits and rollbacks in triggers but they will be synchronous. I want this mapping to run asynchronously so that the main process inserts the record and continues with the rest of the process while the mapping can be executed independently.
For this reason I am looking for something which will allow me to do this without a trigger on the table.
As mentioned in your refereed post, I can use CDC, but not sure how good is CDC and will this be an overkill to implement and use CDC for this purpose. Any simpler solution available?

PUP field in Accounting 1 (if ML is active, Price Determination indicator=3) is the result of Actual Costing Run (CKMLCP) closing entry.
For your 2nd query:
In most of the cases the values will be different in Previous Period and Current Period. e.g.Period 6 values are the results of Actual Costing Run (CKMLCP) in 1st week of Period 6 for Previous Period (i.e. Period 5). Period 7 values are the results of Actual Costing Run (CKMLCP) in 1st week of Period 7 for Previous Period (i.e. Period 6).
The reason for the different values: Price differences, Exchange rate differences, Price/Exchange rate differences from Low lower materials, etc.

You can use worfklows to achieve this.
For more infor check the faq in the Workflow forum, or ask your local workflow expert.
basically you must first find out which event is triggered, you can find this out with the event trace (SWELS and SWEL) then you must create a workflowtemplate which is triggered by that event and which will schedule the backgournd job. Next you must link the event to the workflowtemplate, either in pftc , tab event, or transaction SWE2.
ALternatively you can use transaction SWEINST to place a check function module on the event Business object instance. In that FM you can also schedule the job. This is a bit easier than creating a worklfow.

Preaggregation across value based hierarchy dimension in 11g

I have created a cube with 6 dimensions in olap 11g. One of those six dimensions has only one hierarchy which is value based hierarchy. I have chosen level based aggregation as I know at what levels exactly users are going to query. When I was going through the dimensions to choose levels to preaggregate I noticed there were no options available for my value based hierarchy dimension ( I could see "all" option for the same case in 10g) then I tried to look for definitions of underlying objects just to make sure it will preaggregate data across my value based hierarchy dimension.
I found value set corresponding to my value based hierarchy dimension in <CUBE NAME>SOLVEAGGMAP object , which AWM uses to decide which dimension values to preaggregate but if I do rpr on that value set (rp r<CUBE NAME>SOLVE<DIMENSION NAME>_PVSET) it shows NA so my question is can I pre aggregate across value based hierarchy dimension in olap 11g?

Even if you know exactly which levels your users will query, percent based precompute (e.g. 30%) may still be faster in practice because queries are returned using 'sparse looping' instead of 'dense looping'. This was the single biggest performance advantage of 11g over 10g.
But if you still want to use level based precompute, then you should look at the XML template for the cube (as saved by AWM, for example). In it you should find something called PrecomputeCondition. This defines the set of members that are precomputed. Here is an example I just created using the GLOBAL schema

Value based hierarchy 11g question

Hi,
in my BMM i've created a level based hierarchy composed of two levels: TOTAL and Audiologist
Total level is setted as Grand Total level and doesn't have logical columns.
At audiologist level insted i drag and drop two logical columns: Audiologist Code and Audiologist Name
Then i created two keys.
First Key: Audiologist Code - Use to display: None
Second Key: Audiologist Code and Audiologist Name - Use to display : YES
Graphically my hierarchy is as follow:
Total-----
Audiologist
Audiologist Code
Audiologist Name
Now i would like that if i drill down Total appear simultaneously two columns: Audiologist Code and Audiologist Name.
Is it possible? I remember that in 10 it was.

Based on my experience of OWB10gR2 the option to create a "Value Based" hierarchy is only enabled if you create an AW based OLAP model. If you want to create a ROLAP model then I do not think this is possible.
Question is why create a ROLAP model when you could get better performance and more powerful analytical features by using a multidimensional model within an analytic workspace.
