Indirect elements with skip rule processed even if Skip_flag = 'Y'

Hi All,
I have an nonrecurring element "Sick Leave", multiple entries allowed. It is associated element for Absence Type = Sick Leave.
Formula Run results have 2 Indirect results for 2 different elements based on duration of sick leave (Sick leave <= 30 days, Sick leave > 30 days). Both elements are defined as nonrecurring and multiple entries allowed, and with skip rule (SICK_SKIP) that is not used while processing QuickPay. For testing I made it to always return Skip_flag = 'Y'.
When I put this skip rule on element "Sick Leave" than it works !
How can I check where is the problem?
PS. I'm in stage of setting up HRMS and Payroll for Bosnia, that doesn't have Oracle's localization.

I want to skip one of two indirect elements based on their input value. Both indirect elements have input value CALCULATE that can be 0 or 1 (O-skip, 1-do not skip).
Skip formula should check this value and return skip_flag Y or N.
Now, I'm just testing this skip formula and expecting to skip indirect element that have skip formula.
Skip formula is just:
Skip_flag = 'Y'
Return Skip_flag
But, all 3 elements are processed.

I have done all required configuration for Extended Rebate Processing.
Additionally I have put all required data in step u201CCreating Sales Confirmation- Entering Data manuallyu201D. Here I have put name of material & its quantity that has been sold from wholesaler to its customer (Indirect Customer).
As I am not able to get indirect extended sales order & billing document number it wonu2019t be possible to update Info structure S136 & S469 (RBT_ENH_RMCSS469) as required for rebate basis.
I am facing error/issues at two places.
In Step: Updating sales data:
I have put Sales area, Wholesaler & clicked on Display only errors, so the expected result is that I should get Document number of indirect order. But I am not getting same. Please help.
In Step: Updating of Indirect sales:
I have put Month, sales area and I was suppose to get Indirect billing document number but I am getting message as u201CNO data selected for updateu201D.
Please let me know even I am missing some basic configuration.

All infoproviders with version "In Process" after upgrade

Dear experts,
After the upgrade from 3.5 to 7.0, we have noticed that all our infoproviders appear with version "In process" even those that were not active in production.
Is this normal? what is the meaning of "in process"? Is this something that can be fixed so they all show their original version: either active or inactive?

Hi,
You can see these kind of changes after the Upgrade.
So try to active the targets using the standard program RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE program and use * for the all cubes and use B for Basic type.

Period account closing bal includes cumul movements, even with a rule.WHY?!

Hello chaps, I've been struggling with this for a few days now and I'm going to have admit defeat. :(
I'm trying to do two things.
1. View periodic balance sheet movements
2. Get the correct custom closing balance to roll up once I've done 1 (in Periodic view)
What I've done.
For Point 1. I use the SwitchTypeForFlow attribute on the flow members. This let's me see the balance sheet movements in Periodic view. Great.
Which leads me onto Point 2. Whilst I can now see the balance sheet movements in Periodic view, the closing balance (the parent of Opening + increases - decreases) does not total correctly. Instead of adding the Opening + increases - decreases for ONE period, It adds them for ALL the previous periods.
Ok, so to get round that, I thought I'd just create a new member called "ClosingBal" and override what HFM is doing. I'll now have two rules. The "OpeningBal" is just the closing balance of last period. "ClosingBal" is just the sum of opening + increases - decreases for the period. So here are the two simple rules
HS.Exp "C1#OpeningBal=C1#ClosingBal.P#Prior"
HS.Exp "C1#ClosingBal=C1#OpeningBal+C1#increases-C1#decreases"
But when I do this, even with the rule, it STILL adds up the cumulative increases and decreases for all prior periods as well, not just the ones for the period. Why is it doing that? All I want is my closing balance in that one period to be equal to opening balance + increases - decreases. It works fine in YTD view, but not Periodic view. I need it to work in Periodic view

There is no solution here that allows the user to simpley change the View member from Periodic to YTD, keeping all else the same, and get your desired result. However, you could create a solution that when a user wants Periodic numbers he/she would select the Periodic View member and then select a unique ClosingBal member (eg. 'ClosingBalPer') and a unique OpenBal member (eg. 'OpenBalPeriodic'). When the user wants YTD numbers he/she would select the YTD View member and then select a different and also unique ClosingBal member (eg. 'ClosingBalYTD') and a different and also unique OpenBal member (eg. 'OpenBalYTD').
Here you would have 2 different rules for you opening balances:
HS.Exp "C1#OpeningBalPer=C1#ClosingBal.P#Prior"
HS.Exp "C1#OpeningBalYTD=C1#ClosingBal.P#Last.Y#Prior"
And your ClosingBal rules would look like this:
HS.Exp "C1#ClosingBalPer=C1#OpeningBalPer+C1#increases-C1#decreases"
HS.Exp "C1#ClosingBalYTD=C1#OpeningBalYTD+C1#increases-C1#decreases"
In regards to the ClosingBal rules, these aren't necessary if you make the ClosingBal member a parent of the other members. If 'decreases' need to be subtracted then they should be flagged as 'SwithSignForFlow'.
With this solution if a user selected YTD with the Periodic members or Periodic with the YTD members then their numbers wouldn't make sense so there would be some user eduction involved with this solution.

You should find it's usage noted in the new PCG user guide on page 3-26 under the heading "Configuring Workflow/Event Rules". This way you can have a Flow Rule call a business event component or a workflow. This would be kicked off within a process flow as one of the steps.

WBS Elements upload with settlement rule& classification

I have created project profile & WBS elements with a BAPI bapi_project_maintain.
Now i need to apply characterstic values and settlement rules to those WBS elements.
I have been searching for a FM since long time.
I tried with LSMW also,it did not work.
Only way left to me is to write a BDC programs to full fill this.
If anybody has got some solution for this let me know.

Check your login items in the Users & Groups preference pane. Remove any that you don't recognize.

BUSINESS RULES WITH SYNCHRONOUS BPEL PROCESS

I want to know whether i can use Business Rules with Synchronous BPEL process. Actually i developed an example synchronous BPEL process but while invoking decision service it generated an error stating RECEIVE TIMEOUT fault. But when i created identical process in ASYNCHRONOUS mode it went through without any error.

Are you signed into iTunes on the computer with the same Apple ID the apps in question were "purchased" with? Is the computer authorized for that account?

Problem with scrambling rules

Good afternoon, I have a problem with the conversion rules, when I transfer the employee does not take into account any of the scrambling rules, those made by me and with the rules that I copied by CNV_TDMS_HCM_SCRAM transaction. I understand that this conversion is performed in the task to prepare data transfer. Someone can give me an idea that I may fail to do. Somebody has documentation of Scrambling rules? scrambling at project or subproject level. And I made this:
To use the SAP template, choose Copy from other Project. You can now copy a scramble
definition. To copy the SAP template, input the following:

Process Type: R
Select the "Get from client 000" checkbox .
You can use a description prefix, for example SAP_, to easily identify elements. For
example, if you use this prefix and the name of a scramble group in the template is
HCM_DE_01, then after the copy the name is SAP_HCM_DE_01. This is useful for copying
in add-on mode into an existing project, because it helps you to determine what was new
from this copy.
Then I tried to use this scrambling rules copied, but They doesn´t work.

For example, I am doing a process for 100 records. If the 15th record causes a Java Exception, I want to be able to skip it and continue processing the remaining 85 records.
How it is possible with Java Exception handling? Any sample code?

You'll want to be careful about which exceptions you catch though. For instance, if there's an unchecked exception, like NullPointerException, it's a sign of a bug in your code. Continuing to process as if that bug weren't there is often a worse approach than just failing. In this particular case, however, as long as you log the exception and then followup by fixing the bug that caused it, it may be acceptable to continue trying to process the rest of the file, even if some lines bring out a bug in your code.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

When I try to zoom the text of an e-mail I received or sent , I can no longer use the keys Command + to enlarge the text, although I can reduce it with Command -.
As I have a problem with my eyes, This is a serious matter for me.
When I write an e-mail, if I select text and press Command +, it just displaces the text to the right.
Now, my husband has a USB keyboard. If he connects it to my computer, his regular Command + does not work either, but he uses the extended keyboard, then it works. Unfortunately, he needs it for a musical application which does not work with a wireless keyboard.

Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin-container.exe" which was using up most of my CPU when I opened up multiple tabs that contained Adobe Flash files, and caused Firefox to lock up.
My solution was to use Firefox 3.5.10 which you can get from the Mozilla website at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]
I am using Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the release notes, I believe it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".
Hopefully, they will fix Firefox 3.6 in the next version (e.g. Firefox 3.6.7), until then you should probably use "Firefox 3.5.10".

Group Security Issue with Business Rules

Hopefully you experts out there can follow this. We have about 200 users in our Planning application split into 3 categories (Admins, Interactive Users and Planners) via groups setup in Shared services. We also have an email group list setup in Outlook that has all 200 users in it that we use to send out emails to all users regarding the application. So in Shared Services we have the email group list as an assigned group in the Planners group. So as new people are added to the group list in email they are automatically included as a user in the Planning application. People that are Admins or Interactive Users are manually added to those groups in Shared Services. Everything seemed to be working fine until we tried blocking the Planners groups from running certain business rules in the application. We have clusters setup in Essbase to control access to the business rules. I went into the cluster and set the Planners group to cannot validate or launch on certain rules but found that I now could not run the business rules either even though I am an Admin and the Admin group has vaildate and launch privledges in the cluster. I believe the issue has to do with the fact that I am by default in the Planners group because I am in the email group list which is assigned to the Planners group in Shared Services. Other than setting up and managing 3 seperate email group lists and assigning them individually in Shared Services, does anyone know how I can manage business rules security using the 3 groups i have setup? I hope this makes sense. If not I can provide more detail. Thanks.

Have you tried using Business Rules projects? Create a project for the admin Shared Services group and assign all rules to that group. Create a Planning project for planners and assign only rules that you want them to run. Any rule that planners should not have access to would be removed from the Planner business rules project, but still in the admin project for you to run.

i added the xsd to my composite application
created a new bpel in it, for input/ouput used both your elements.
after that i added the assign and could just 'browse' the tree to both the input-element and the result-element, with this result :

at the bottom fo this window you see a checkbox "show detailed node information", in case of errors or non validation xsd's this would be usefull, but the xsd validates for me.
