Inflow & Outflow
Hi experts,
What do Inflow and Outflow in Snap shot scenario (Inventory) represents.
Can we consider Inflow as issues and Outflow as Receipts ?
Regards,
Bhadri M.
Hi all,
Thanks for the reply.
By this can we take the quantity issued from valuated stock as
Outflow and quantity received into valuated stock as Inflow ?

Key figure non-cumulative/ Inflow / Outflow
On the tab page Aggregation of a Key-figure, you are able to choose non-Cumulative values with in- and out-flow. What is the exact function of the in- and out-flow fields?
Hello,

Is it possible to create an addtional field in SQ02 for inflow/outflow
When retroactive accounting happens, inflow/outflow may occer for a wagetype.
Is it possible to define an additional field in SQ02 to display the inflow/outflow amount?
Can any one help with a sample code?
Thanks very much! This is correct, PDF form can't be converted into a web form.
There are some touch-up tools in Acrobat so that you can fix typos and some text but for major changes you need to go back to your word doc and export to PDF with your new changes. You might find more information on the Acrobat forum regarding this : http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat

FWZE SAM1104 Inflows/outflows in the status plan must first be fixed
When I create a zero bond with FTR_CREATE I can post the initial payment (95000 EUR) at start of term and the amount (100000) (5 % interest over a year) that we would get back at end of term in the Structure tab page.
I tried with transaction FWZE to post the repayment for the zero bond. The error I get: "Inflows/outflows in the status plan must first be fixed Message no. TRS0047". 30.12.2011 SAM1104 Final repayment (scheduled) Scheduled EUR 3.000,00. How to fix the scheduled SAM1104 final repayment flow? TPM18 did not fix the SAM1104 nor TPM27. TPM10 gives the message: "You have not selected any business transactions Message no. TPM_TRD1026". The transaction is released.
In customizing SAM1104 Final repayment is marked relevant for posting.Hi,
Check in TPM40 all the flows for the security ID and the security account number. Please see what are all the flows that are to be posted like purchase and sale flows, any interest flows or corporate actions. All the flows before the final repayment have to be posted i.e. have to be in fixed status. Hence if there are any purchase or sale flow before the final repayment, post them in TBB1. And if there are any interest flows, then post them in FWZE before posting final repayment. When all other flows are fixed, you will be able to post final repayment flows in FWZE.

Prob while creating Non - Cumulative KF with Inflow & Outflow
hello all,
I created 3 Key Figures, with DEPOSIT, WITHDRAWL, BALANCE... with Amount & 0CURRENCY data type... If i measure the DEPOSIT & BALANCE in 0CURRENCY then only i could be able to see the keyfig in Inflow(DEPOSIT) and Outflow(WITHDRAWL) of the Total Key fig.. I hope till here is fine..
Im loading the file thru Flat file..
when im activating the Data Source it got activated(whr 0CURRENCY is taken in once FIELDS tab while mapping)...
The problem started whn im ran IP... its throwing the error msg " The argument " INR" or "USD" cannot be interuppted as a number on assignment field / BIC/WITHDRAWL record 1 value INR.
Thanks in advanceHi,
what i understood from the message again is ur mapping the filed currency to withdrawal keyfigure.
chk the columns order in datasource and flat file and assign the proper mapping pls.
lets say if u have Deposit, withdrwal, balance, currency as your fields in u r datasource then do have the same fields in your Flat file as well so that they are in same order as in datasource.
pls chk this and try again. -
Hi,
We had a data modification for a previous period, which generated /O02 - Outflow /102 wage type retroactively, which is converting to /I03 - Inflow /103 wage type in the current run, which causes incorrect tax calculation. Please advise how can we correct this issue.
Thanks,
SSHi,
Well inflow and outflow behavior is usually handled by PCRs. Not sure about the Country you are running for, but in international payroll X042 & X043 are the PCRs to generate the outflow wage type in Retroactive accounting subschema XRR0.
PORT X042 GEN NOAB Form differences and transfer
PIT X043 Write new amount to data medi
If you don't need, you can modify the PCR as per your requirement.

Non-Cumulative Key figure with inflow & outflow
I am using some non-cumulative key figure in our inventory cube, however, I could not find the non-cumulative field in E or F table of the cube?
Is there a separate table to hold the reference unit. If so, what is the table name.
Thanks.Hi,
Go to t-code RSDV and enter the tech.name of your cube that has the non-***. key figure and you will see a validity table. This is only thing I know that will make you look at validity table.
The unit for the Non-*** KF will be the same unit as its inflow and outlow parameters' unit.
Thats my 2 cents on the matter.

Non-cumulative Inflow and Outflow explanation
Hello Everyone,
We are just implementing Inventory reporting in BW and cannot understand query results. We have searched the forums and documenation, but cannot find an answer.
We have a Non-*** Key Figure that we have defined an Inflow and Outflow for (in the aggregation tab). Can someone please explain in detail how this Non-*** will be calculated with Inflow and Outflow.
The Non-*** has Aggregation of SUM and exception of LAST
Here are our results (and the Inflow and Outflow KF's are ***)
We have a test query showing the KF for Inflow, KF for Outflow and KF for the Non-*** value.
The Inflow KF shows 26320
The Outflow KF shows 12428
The Non-*** KF (with the 2 above Inflow/Outflow) shows 66002
We thought this Non-*** would be calculated as Inflow (minus) Outflow. So the total of the Non-*** we were expecting 13892.
How does this Non-*** work with Inflow/Outflow? We can't find anything on this.
Thanks so much,
CMHi CM,
this has been discussed so many number of times in SDN.. and please search the forum on the same..

What is inflow and outflow?
What is inflow and outflow?
hi,
for example u take stocks in the godown
what r material coming in to the godown is infow
what r the material going out is outflow
so total stock of the material can br found out based on inflow and outflow
this behavior is mainly seen in inventory management
There are two ways of implementing Non cumulative Key figure...inflow outflow is one way of doing that...mainly used in inventory scenario...take an example...you have issued stock and received stock data coming from R/3...in report you need current stock based on key date ( That may be current date ) so u cant directly subtract the two values and cumulate them because its Non cumulative KF and aggregated in different way.....
To implement this we create infoObject for current stock and check the third option in infoObject " Inflow Outflow" and there u will specify Inflow = received qty and Outflow = Issued qty so this infoObject will always contain difference of these two
current stock = received - issued
Also you initialize the current stock with some value initially -
i dont know whether i am right or wrong
in info object
->under aggregation
->non cumulatine changes
inflow-------
outflow----
for example take obalance
inflow- credit
outflow- debit
so we get the output of 0balance
is my example correct?
please suggest me
i will asssign pointsHello

Report for Cash flow (fund flow from Bank GL)
Hi Expert,
I would like to have your advice on how can I create this type of report? Is it better using Fund Management?
My client is asking on cash flow report in which the report should show all fund (cash at bank) movement. Basically, the report should have 2 main category, which are Cash Inflow / Cash Outflow, for example:
Cash Inflow
- Payment received from customer
- Interest received from FD at Bank
- Other receipts
- Government Subsidy Received
- Government Grant
Cash Outflow
- Payment to vendor
- Finance charge paid to bank (overdraft/loan, etc)
- Operating Expenses
- CAPEX
- Other Payments
For cash inflow, double entries involve to bank GL is as follows:
DR Bank
CR Item listed in cash inflow section, for example: payment received from customer (or CR csutomer), FD interest received (Revenue item of P/L), etc
For cash outflow, double entries involve to bank GL is as follows:
DR Item listed in cash outflow section, for example: payment to vendor (or DR vendor), Payment to non-trade vendor (for asset purchase, etc), Interest paid (expense item of P/L), etc
Questions:
Since my debit or credit leg of my bank account, currently does not have any indicator that can explicitly indicator the nature of my inflow and outflow, how can I produce my report of cash flow show above?
Note: It is extremely heavy for customized ABAP program to extract my bank entry and point back to the opposite leg to find the nature of my inflow/outflow as well.
Kindly advise.
Thanks in advance,
sbmelHi
In ECC 6.0 EhP4 - A new feature has been added inorder to provide such a kind of cash flow report... You need to activate Business Function PSM_FA_CASH..
Refer this link http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/42/e34f2c31023ee1e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm...
... Under Business Functions in SAP ERP > Enterprise Busn Func > Accounting > Public Sector management > PSM, Cash basis accounting & Cash flow reporting
Once you activate it, you will find additional nodes of IMG under SPRO > Public Sector management.....
This works the same way as Doc Splitting... technically speaking, this new feature is extended arm of Doc Spliting... In Doc Splitting, you assign item Categories to each GL Account.... Similarly, you will assign a "Revenue / Expense Account" to each GL Account.... This R/E Account can be any alpha numeric text.... This R/E account then gets added as a Doc Splittin Char and is populated in every FI Doc that you post
I have tried this in a test client a year ago and was more or less satisified with it barring some exceptions....

Choosing a Design: Virtual KF - Y/N?
Hello everyone, I need some help making a design decision to solve a fairly challenging issue I am facing.
I am working with inventory and sales cubes for a retail company. These cubes are pupulated with about 2 years worth of data.
Our business is requiring us to provide them with a Markdown/Full Price breakdown of all our sales and inventory numbers.
This means that running a report for any given week, the reports should provide our users with 2 columns for sale and 2 for inventory: 1 for full price and the other one for markdown sales and/or inventory (retail value, cost or units ... doesn't matter).
Currently the business logic is such that if the business reduces permantently the retail value of an item (so that entries are created and provided to BW to 2LIS_40_REVAL), ERP automatically put a date in article master (markdown date) to indicate when the item was put on markdown the first time. There is ONLY a "first markdown" date ... no other markdows are counted and the business is not interested in them.
If you look up an article past its markdown date, the data will show in the markdown bucket.
If you look up the same article prior to its markdown date, the data will show i the full price bucket.
I am dealing with roughly 70,000 articles, 100 stores and 2 years worth of data. Reports need to be run at any article, store or time hierarchy levels.
I have 2 choices:
1 - create a virtual Key Figure that will, on the fly, figure out if each article (based on the date selected) is in the markdown or full price period and flag it for the appropriate bucket
2 - create a new characteristic in each of the cubes affected and build the logic in the update rule (or transformation, whatever the case may be) and load the Markdown/Full Price flag into the cube itself.
here is what I see
For case 1 since I am dealing 70,000 articles, 100 stores and 100+ weeks of data, performance could be an issue. Also, the business likes to run reports at any level ... from sku all the way to the highest levels of the article hierarchy and for each level of the hierarchy they want to see the subtotals of how much is on markdown and how much is full price (sales or inventory). So not only performance is an issue, I am not entirely sure that a VKF is the appropriate solution.
For case 2 the issue is that I would have to reload thousands (yes, thousands, plural) of requests is several cubes, in order for the new characteristic to be populated. Also, the inventory cubes are the "inflow/outflow" types (0RT_C36 ... the ones with the non-cums), so I am not sure how they would behave in this case.
Is there another option I did not look into? are these the only options I have? I don't know if I am on the right track.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!Hi
Could you give us an example ofthe report they would like to have ?
Give us the data as it is now: master data and its relevant attributes, transactional data.
I am not sure that I correctly understand the requirement
Thx

Jul-13LI,
Regarding the date matching... As I understand it, you want to truncate the date to Month and Year, not considering the Day part of the date. You can do that with this type of expression:
=MONTH(date) & "-" &YEAR(date)
The result for January 10, 2013 would be: 1-2013. If you must have the exact format of Jan-13, you could write this somewhat more complicated expression:
=LEFT(MONTHNAME(MONTH(date)), 3)&"-"&RIGHT(YEAR(date), 2)

Can we map mutiple Account ID's with a single House Bank in OBVCU? (FI-TRM)
Hi,
I want to map mutiple account ID's with single house bank in OBVCU for the purpose of making Automatic Payment Transaction(F111) for my Treasury postings.
For eg:-
Bank Master-FI12
House Bank Acc ID GL
BOB BOB01 10251030
BOB BOB02 23506010
BOB BOB71 23506380
BOB BOB72 23506390
These account IDu2019s are linked to Main Accounts.
Maintained Sub accounts, Issue & receipt in the GL Master with numbering convention as :
Issue Accounts ends with 1 & Receipt Accounts ends with 2
For eg:-For account ID BOB01
Issue A/c: 10251031
Receipt A/c: 10251032
Bank Determination -FBZP
Created Payment Methods I & O,Inflow & Outflow.
But, OBVCU, the fields in grey are House Bank,Payment Method & Currency.
In treasury module for clearing the payment request, I want to map the House Banks and Account ID's in following manner.
House Bank Pay. Method Curr Acc ID Bank Sub A/c
BOB I INR BOB01 10251032
BOB O INR BOB01 10251031
BOB I INR BOB02 23506012
BOB O INR BOB02 23506011
BOB I INR BOB71 23506382
BOB O INR BOB71 23506381
BOB I INR BOB72 23506392
BOB O INR BOB72 23506391
But system allows me only to link a single Account ID to House Bank(BOB) and If I try to add BOB02, BOB71 and BOB72 with house bank BOB, the system will through an error message as " Target key should be different from Source key".
I could have masked the issue/receipt in treasury account determination as follows:-
Eg :- Account Symbol 3 : GL 1025103+
But,since all the other modules except Treasury has gone live ,it is not possible to change the numbering convention or account IDu2019s.
Kindly revert with the suggestions.
Thanks & Regards
Ramesh NairHi Ramesh,
It is not the problem of linking different account ids to a single house bank, you had done assigning a payment method for a single currency to different account ids for the same house bank.
SAP doesnt allow this scenario
BOB I INR BOB01 10251032
BOB O INR BOB01 10251031
BOB I INR BOB02 23506012
BOB O INR BOB02 23506011
BOB I INR BOB71 23506382
BOB O INR BOB71 23506381
BOB I INR BOB72 23506392
BOB O INR BOB72 23506391
Here above you tried to assign payment method I with currency INR to different account ID's (BOB02 & BOB71) apart from BOB01 which SAP doesnt allow. You can assign a payment method with a currency to only one account id.
HOpe u understood.
Your criteria cant be met.
