I am assuming that your SharePoint 2013 site using claims based authentication , you need to strip the special characters from the User ID before querying the user profile service.

  • I use a program called RoboForm2Go that will fill in user names and passwords for me when I open a site and now that option is not available in the taskbar at the top. How can I use that feature again?

I save the RoboForm2Go program on a flash drive and when I opened a site that I had saved the user name and password, the RoboForm2Go would show up in the taskbar with the site I opened so I could just click on it and it would automatically fill in the info for me.

Under View>/toolbars, I don't have an option to choose RoboForm Toolbar. When I initially set up the program, I was using Internet Explorer and I can go to the taskbar at the bottom and choose RoboForm but then whatever site I was opening in Firefox will now open in Internet Explorer instead of Firefox. The old version of Firefox would display the RoboForm toolbar at the top.

  • My DigitalPersona Personal is no longer working. It does not appear so I can use my fingerprint to fill in user names and passwords.

The DigitalPersona Personal icon does not come up now that I've installed Firefox 4.0 beta.

I found a reference to workaround on an HP forum that has solved the problem for me. DP does not support FF 4 and the company does not plan to do so in the future. However, there is a Firefox AddOn called FingerFoxSE that bridges the incompatibility of DP and FF 4. I have installed it and it works fine. You will have to manually register all of your user names and passwords again but FingerFox handles the web pages and then calls DP to verify the password instead of having FF call DP directly. I am running Windows 7 with FF 4 final ad DigitalPersona 4.10.3790.

  • Why does text field in InfoPath 2010 show user name with two commas between first name and last?

Here's the problem. I have a text field called Manager in an InfoPath 2010 form that is getting populated by a drop down field called
    Business Unit.
The Business Unit drop-down field is pulling information from
column A in a custom list via a managed data connection. The custom List has two columns:
    Title & Manager.
The Manager column in the custom list is a 'Person or Group' type column.
The Data Connection pulls both the Title, Manager
    (and ID) data.
There is a rule on the Business Unit drop-down field to change the value of the
Manager text field with the Manager data on the custom list. The rule pulls the
Manager information and filters the value to match the
Business Unit on the Data Connection with the Business Unit drop-down
    field value (Main).
The Business Unit drop-down field works great and pulls the value from the custom list, and the rule populates the Manager text field. The problem is that Manager text field shows the name as such:
[smith,, john]. Notice the two commas between the last and first name. There should only be
    one comma!
Anyone have an idea why the text field is appearing with two commas?

    Hi all,
I have a workaround for this. I have an InfoPath 2010 form pulling data from a SP2010 list. The user chooses a System (Business Unit) from the dropdown list and that choice auto populates the associated user (Manager) for that system. I had to
use concatenation, substring before and substring after to display the correct data.
    concat(substring-before(DisplayName, ",, "), ", ", substring-after(DisplayName, ",, "))
DisplayName is the original data for the field. I am able to cut & paste this field into the formula. Therefore, I added a few spaces to separate it from the actually formula for future use.
    Select Insert Function
    Select concat
Select the first link to double-click to insert field
    and then select Insert Function
Select the Text category and choose substring-before
Select the third link to double-click to insert field
    and then select Insert Function
Select the Text category and choose substring-after
Copy and paste your fieldname (in my case DisplayName) in the
    double-click to insert field
parts of the substring-before and substring-after links.
Delete the middle double-click to insert field link
Add quotes, spaces and commas so that they match the following format:
    concat(substring-before(DisplayName, ",, "), ", ", substring-after(DisplayName,
    Translation:
    concat(substring-before(Doe,, John, ",, "), ", ", substring-after(Doe,,
    John, ",, "))
Bring together all of the text before ",," (i.e. Doe) with ", " (comma, space) and all text after ",," (i.e. John).
    It should return
    Doe, John.
I hope this makes sense. I have these instructions with screenshots if you need them, contact me.

  • IPad 2 has slowed down copy paste is not working it hangs when filling in user name , please do something to solve all these problems ,Apple please wake up

IiPad 2 has slowed down with ios8 copy paste is not working it hangs when you try to fill up forms ,Apple engineers you need to do something fast

Apple engineers do not participate here. Have you updated to iOS 8.1 which was just release yesterday? Have you done any other troubleshooting? If you haven't start here.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data
Now close all apps. In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If those three things made no difference, try this. Reset all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.
If all of that fails, restore the iOS software. Backup your iPad before you restore, then restore the backup when you are done. If that still doesn't help, restore your iPad as new and start all over again. Most purchased content can be downloaded again at no charge as long as you use the same Apple ID and as long as the content is still available in the store.

  • Auto fill for user names and pass words.

Since uploading iOS 7, iPad Safari does not auto fill username and passwords. iPhone 5 with iOS7 does. Settings appear the same but phone does and iPad doesn't.

Disable by tapping "Private" on Safari Sceen. The top of screen must be white to indicate Private Browsing is off.

  • If after clearing history, I am still getting filled in suggestions in Firefox 3.6 user names using Mac OS 10.6, how can I eliminate the suggestions for users and searches?

I made an error when I was filling in a user name. Firefox is continuing to offer this as a suggestion in a drop down menu after using Clear Recent History. I used Clear Recent History, tried restarting Firefox after clearing history, and reinstalled Firefox. I did a search on Google, Firefox and Apple to see if someone else has reported this problem. All gave the same information that I have already tried.

In my case it seems that Firefox just doesn't "see" (or can't find?) the coupon printer application anymore after the FF update. (and yes, my add-ons are enabled - to answer the tech support people's first question).
For me, the coupon printer doesn't even show up in my Firefox "Add-Ons" list anymore. Is that what people typically see when they're saying the coupon printer "doesn't work" with FF? The coupon printer was visible on the add-ons list before my FF update, and now it's totally Gone! It seems that Firefox just doesn't "see" (or can't find?) the coupon printer application anymore since the FF update.
When I'm on the coupons.com site and I click "print coupons", it tells me I haven't installed the application. But it Is installed on my computer, I can see it in my folders, and it works on IE, so it's definitely there.
BTW - I have uninstalled/reinstalled the coupon printer application. I have tried all the suggestions on the Mozilla help/forum sites, as well as the Coupons.com web site. I have closed and re-started Firefox after the installation. I have also shut down and restarted my pc after installation. I tried installing the application with Firefox open, and tried it again with Firefox closed. I've even cleared out all my cookies/history associated with Coupons.com.
... I can't think of anything else to try, except for the "solution" of using IE for coupons.
If it Really is a problem on the Coupon.com end of things, do you think it's worth it if we bombard the coupons.com support team with messages saying they need to fix the problem? (or just a waste of time?) ;(

When Put in my user name on any site...my password automatically fills in....anyone who uses my pc could access my accounts if they know my email address.

This is better...but it still doesn't answer my question about why everything pops up as soon as I put in master password.I WANT TO BE LIKE IT WAS IN THE BEGINNING.ALSO WANT TO KNOW WHAT CAUSED IT!

  • Forgot password and user name... Deleted all other accounts....restarted and when prompted to sign in it requires both user and password to be filled in. Sadly I can't remember eithe

How do I retrieve both user name and password?

The details of the procedure depend on which version of Mac OS X you have. This video however, covers most of the recent versiona. Good luck:

  • User name change prevents task completion in SP Workflow

I have a workflow on a library including Infopath forms. Basically, user submits document, a group gets assigned a task and so on and so forth. I am using SharePoint 2010 and Infopath 2010 and used Designer for the Workflow.
Recently, one of our users got married and her name was changed. Ever since, whenever she submits a form to the library, nobody is able to complete the tasks generated by the workflow instance her submitted item created. This is the error we see:
The form cannot be submitted because it contains validation errors.
Errors are marked with either a red asterisk (required fields) or a red,
dashed border (invalid values). Field or group: d:Author Error: No
exact match was found. Click the item(s) that did not resolve for more
    options.
Click OK to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors.
We use Active Directory to maintain our users. When we look at active Directory, this account is fine. But in SharePoint, while the account has the new name (Jane Doe), the user ID remain the old one (jsmith rather than jdoe).
    Can anyone help?

All you need it to sync the user.

  • Force Infopath Filler to open instead of Designer

    Hello,
We recently upgraded our farm to SharePoint 2013 (from 2010), and the default behavior of the desktop InfoPath client is different. In SharePoint 2010, a user clicking on an InfoPath form in a SharePoint library would get the InfoPath Filler client. In SharePoint
2013, all forms open in Design mode. The users don't want this as they are afraid it can lead to confusion and/or someone accidentally modifying a file. Is there any way to force the return of the old behavior?
    Thanks,
    Aaron

    Hi Aaron,
I beg to differ with your description. There is not such changed between SharePoint (SP) 2010 and 2013 which affects the opening of InfoPath.
It all depends on where you clicked.
If you have a document library (or list) with items in them and if you click on the item then yes it will open on the local machine's
InfoPath Filler. Now, if you are on the document library settings ribbon and click on the InfoPath button there then it will open the entire list in
    InfoPath Designer.
You have the option to disable the InfoPath web-based form option by
    1. Going to the Form Library to which you published the InfoPath form template.
    2. Click Settings on the Form Library menu bar and choose Form Library Settings from the drop-down menu.
    3. On the Customize <Form Library Name> page under the General Settings category, click Advanced settings.
    4. On the Form Library Advanced Settings: <Form Library Name> page under the Browser-enabled Documents category, choose Open in the client application.
    Hope this helps.

  • SharePoint Foundation 2013 and InfoPath Filler 2010

Hello, I am having an issue in which when I click to add a new document created in InfoPatht, I am taken to a page that says the following:
    The webpage cannot be displayed
     Most likely cause:
•Some content or files on this webpage require a program that you don't have installed.
    What you can try:
Search online for a program you can use to view this web content.
      Retype the address.
Go back to the previous page.
I confirmed that Office SP2 is installed on the machine. If I click on new document, on a machine that has InfoPath Filler 2013, it works fine. However, the users have InfoPath Filler 2010. The site has been added to the Local intranet and the trust on the
form is set to Domain trust.
Any Ideas as to what might be causing this???

Hello, if I remember correctly the issue was that I created the form with InfoPath 2013 and was trying to test using InfoPath 2010. This does not work.
Did you create the form using InfoPath 2013?

  • User name and passwords autofill

user name and passwords autofill only autofills the user name and not the password. Any ideas on how to change this so that passwords are also autofilled?

    Hi Geoffrey
Some web sites (particularly banks, credit card companies) specifically code their sites to prevent the password from automatically appearing. This is due to security concerns.
Notwithstanding the above, It's possible there's oddities in the Keychain file. This file retains your User Name/Password information. In your Finder: Applications>Utilities folder. Open Keychain Access. Go to the Keychain Menu>Keychain First Aid>Repair. If any errors appear rerun until you get a clean pass.
If the lack of auto-fill continues, there is a workaround for the web coding via 3rd party Safari add-on (shareware) SAFT. In SAFT's Misc. preference file settings (part of the Safari Preferences) is "Auto-complete always on".
Note: some of the more elaborate security sign-ons, such as those that use multiple pages for the sign-in are not overridden by the SAFT feature.
