Infoset query authorization problem

Hi All,
We created one Infoset(used PNP Logical database) - SQ02 in DEV system and transported to PRD system. Users are creating their own queries and check the data. Actually this is Cluster system. Three or more different hospitals clubbed together so company codes are different for each hospital.
Doubts are
1. Is it possible to restrict own hospital users to execute the query created by one user ?
2. Whether other hospital user can run the query created by one hospital and see all hospitals information?
Please let me know if I am not clear .

If I understood your question correctly, you want certain infoset to be used by specific users and not all. You can do it by defining an "Authorization Group" and assigning it to desired users.
To do so, select your infoset >> choose change >> select 'Global Properties' from the menu bar >> specify a group name in Authorization Group field.
Later you can update your user role with S_PROGRAM authorization object.

Infoset Query Authorization

Hi guys,
I've created some infoset queries, and assigned those queries to specific user group. My purpose is to let only specific user group (e.g. Accounts User Group, to access only relevant queries)
But later I found out, those users can actually switch to another group (at SQ01 -> Other User Group), and access those queries that they shouldnt be accessing.
May I know if there's any way to prohibit this switch of group? Or is there any authorization that can be set?
All ideas are appreciated. Thanks ^^

By including the InfoSet query in a role, you ensure that the InfoSet query is started with an InfoSet (and a query), and can therefore be easily used for appropriate reporting within the role.
The basis for this is the assignment of user groups to roles, the option of calling the InfoSet query from different roles, and, in doing so, noting the specified context for this role.
You assign user groups and InfoSets with transaction SQ10. You can also create and manage menu entries for the InfoSet query with this transaction.
In order to include the InfoSet query in a role, you have to assign user groups first to the role and subsequently to one or more InfoSets.
Check
Please check administrator authorization for the SAP Query (authorization object S_Query, field ACTVT, value 23).
Check whether the correct work area is set before you reassign user groups. If you call the role administration by using transaction SQ02 (see above), the work area set in transaction SQ02 is transferred.

BI 7.0 Infoset query open problem: query_tech_name_Fxx is not a valid char.

Our BASIS transport our BW 3.5 queries to BI 7.0 system. We can open all queries on the BI 7.0 box without problem except Infoset queries. The Infoset is composed of two ODSs and when openning it BI 7.0 query designer, can not see any design element in the panes of Rows, Columns, Free Char. and etc., instead the error msg shows (in between two dashed lines below):
Terminate: query_technical_name_Fxx is not a valid characteristic for InfoProvider [A122(BRAIN)]
Diagnosis
Customer enhancement RSR00002 or the implementation of BAdI RSR_OLAB_BADI delivers query_technical_name_Fxx as the characteristic to be calculated. 1. is, however, not a valid key figure for InfoProvider .
System Response
The information from query_technical_name_Fxx is ignored.
Procedure
Check the exit.
Procedure for System Administration
We've checked the enhancement RSR00002 and it's components and find they are all the same as our BW 3.5 system. query_technical_name_Fxx is Company Code InfoObj. in one ODS and it's one of the key to join these two InfoSets.

Query authorization problem

Hi,
I had an old query on a multiprovider (two infocubes were added in multiprovider). The report was running fine. Then according to new requirement i added one more infocube to the multiprovider and added related key figures in the query.
But after that the query is not running properly. The new cube added to multiprovider has a authorization object "z:indauth" which has restriction on character "ci_dipind" which was not present in the previous cubes. I added this character (ci_dipind) in free characteristics. But then also report is not showing any data and the message given is "No applicable data found". Actually before this modification, query was running fine.
Please guide me for the same.

Hi
You can check the values for which the authorization is not there using the transaction st01. There switch on the authorization trace and then run the query with your parameters. Then switch off the trace and analyse the values.
There you can find what authorizations you are lacking and then can act accordingly.

ABAP or infoset query authorization

i want to give the authorization to abap query in bw ie sq01 sq01 and sq03 .
user should only excecute the query based on the given user group.

in SQ02->Role/User group assignment button should give that option.. is this not looking for?
in SQ01->InfosetQuery, it will ask for "user assignment"..

Problem in InfoSet Query data

Hello All,
I have a specification to develop an infoset query in HR.The problem i am facing is i need particular PERNR's listed in output of query which satisfy few condtions like p000-massn = 31 and p0000-massg = Ub or Uc. this is an example of one condition. I tried to wirte my code in record processing and end of selection( before listing) . but there is no data coming at all.
Please suggest how to go about this .

Please write your code in Record Processing event of code section of Infoset . And instead of IF , use CHECK condition statement.
CHECK P0000-MASSN = '31' AND ( P0000-MASSG = 'UB' or P0000-MASSG = 'UC' )
OR P0000-MASSN = '91' AND P0000-MASSG = 'UE'
OR P0000-MASSN = '10' AND P0000-MASSG = 'U2'.
CHECK SY-SUBRC EQ 0.

BI Authorization problem query in web

Hello Guru,
i have authorization problems to execute query on the Web.
When i try to execute query on web i have these messages:
- Missing display authorization msg R9 108
- Missing authorization to execute query msg R9 108
- User doesn't have authorization for selected component
Component selected can not be executed
Contact person responsible for the authorizations if user need authorization to execute this component
Function is checked with object "Business explorer - components" with these fields:
    - InfoCube ZSD_007
    - Component type ERP
    - Component ZTEST_SD_007
    - Activity 16
Message number BRAIN 800
In BI i have add to my usere all these profiles and role, but the problem still again:
Profiles:
SAP_ALL
S_A.SYSTEM               System administrator (Superuser)
S_RS_ADMWB_A        All Administrator Workbench Authorizations
S_RS_EXPL_A             All Business Explorer Authorizations
T-BS590005                  Profile for role Z_RS_RREPU

I can not understand if this problem is related to BI authorization or maybe something in Netweaver

i can execute query from transaction RSRT, anyway also from this transaction when select "ABAP WEB" , web page is open but i have same authorizations problem.
In transaction SU53 seems everithing correct (i have all authorizations) .... this is probably becouse my problem is in Portal or netweaver side and not in BI ???
any suggestion?

Issue while extracting data using Gen DS of Type Infoset Query

Hi All,
We have a Generic Data source created using the Infoset query. I get some data discrepency when i am extracting the data with the same DS. The data for the Field Amount in the R3 and the PSA is different. When i try to check the same using the RSA3 T-Code i am unable to execute the Gen DS in R3 production where as its working fine in R3 Dev, and i am able to execute the other DS in the R3 production using the RSA3 T-code.
My concerns ::--
1. if the DS is working fine in R3 Dev in RSA3 the y i am facing the problem in Production.
2. Y i am getting the different data in R3 and PSA since PSA shuld be the replicate of R3?
3. How can i resolve this problem.??

I am having the authorization to execute the query in R3 production, As i am able to execute the other DS in RSA3 . But not able to execute this DS i had also checked it is active n working fine when loading the Data.
There is only one routine ie to transfer rule from lower to upper of a char value.
As der r routines in Update Rule but i have to get the same data in PSA which is der in R3.
The Routine of Update Rules will be executed when loading the data to the Targets right so the data may b vary in Data targets but y i am getting different data in PSA .
Pls thru some light.

InfoSet Query modification error

Hi,
I am trying to modify a InfoSet Query in SQ01 developed by a SD consultant last time. I already assigned my user ID in the User Group (in SQ03) which is referred by this Query. At the same time, I also assigned the Change Authorization to my ID.
After that, I modified this InfoSet in the SQ02 to add on 1 table and the Save is successful. Then I try to modify the display layout of the Query in SQ01. When I save it, it give me a message "The query is locked for changes by SDUSER". The ID SDUSER is used by the SD consultant last time. Then the modification is not saved.
I already checked in AL08 and also SM04, and found that this user is not log in at that time.
I already done whatever I know to try to solve this problem but I still can't settle it. Can anyone please help me on this? Why can this happen? How can I unlock it?

Hi,
the lock was made by SDUSER when he created the querie. It's an option in the first screen "Title, Format" (specials attributes). When this option is select, only the specific user can change the query (sometimes some modifications are allowed by other user's in specific conditions).
The only way of resolving the problem, is the SDUSER to disable that option from there. After that you will be able to change it.
If that user doesn't exists, you must call the Basis team to create the user again, log on, and change the option.

Crystal report from SAP infoset query

Hi All,
I am facing a problem in a crystal report which is based on Infoset query. When I run the report after passing the parameters it gives me an error "Database error occured" "Parameter field value does not exists" "RFC Closed"
But if I run the same Infoset query from SQ01 I am able to run it with same paramenter and it returns many records.
To be very precise I am running the best practice crystal report "Cost Analysis - Planned vs. Actual Order Costs" which is based on infoset query CO_OM_CA_20_Q1.
It throws me error that "Controlling Area does not exists".
Did anyone faced similar problem?

log into your SAP ERP system using the SAP GUI and choose in the SAP Menu the following path:
SAP Menu -> Accounting -> Controlling -> Cost Cetner Controlling ->Environment->Set Controlling Area.
Set the desired controlling area for your user there (DO NOT FORGET TO CLICK ON THE DISKETTE ICON) and try again.

Runtime error while executing infoset query

When we execute infoset query we get following dump :"

Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:

Looks like a BASIS issue.
Check with BASIS, they need to regularly monitor the tablespace and file system, at OS level

InfoSet Query: Syntax Error while generating the program.

The InfoSet Query throws up a Syntax error while generating the program.
So, we are not able to change the Infoset using the Infoset Query through SQ01.
The error is as follows:-

There is an error in your query, specifically in the definition of CRMT_REPORT_LOCATORLIST. In the short dump (transaction ST22) you will see more details and the exact location of an error if you just scroll down.
I can't tell more because this problem is specific to your system, to which I have no access. Read the whole dump and look at all the objects mentioned there.

Infoset Query Modification Suggestion

I'm new to ABAP Infoset and logical database, and need your help.
I have a query running based on Infoset Z_FI_CHILE_XX(same copy from /SAPQUERY/FI_CHILE_PERU) and logical database SDF. Now I'm trying to modify the selection screen, for example: get rid of 'Fiscal year' and 'Period', and adding 'Posting data' criteria.
As I can see so far, 'Fiscal year' critieria is from logical database SDF, and 'Period' was adding in Infoset. Please give me some suggestion, should we modified logical database, or you have better solution?
Also do you have better documentation on how to modify the selection criteria in infoset rather than SAP library?

I realised that my problem actually can not be just simply solved by modify the selection screen, since I need selection some periods from one fiscal year, then get some periods from another fiscal year, which two part of periods are not the same. Also I need the sum the total from all the periods that I selected, instead of list them in report.
My solution is modified the code behind the infoset to control selection in different periods for different fiscal year, then adding the subtotal total section in infoset Query, finally use a menu function(total drilldown) to leave only subtotal sections in report.
