Inheretence is driving me crazy, help a n00bie out.

Question

I am driven insane by inheratance. In class we are using Blue J. The book we have does not have a good example. If anyone knows how inheretance is supposed to work and how to work multi inheretance with print statements please help me out. If I were to go into length and explain the project it would take me a while, so please AIM me at mojojojo535.

Store - - - -> Item <--- Game

Guys ! Guys ... stop fighting over the usage of inferences ....

to clerify my program is supposed to read from two files (one with game data one with data from movies)
take that data
make an arraylist of items
and then have a print statement of all games and movies specifying which one is a game and which is a movie by saying :
Movie: 1237 Star Wars 235 20050220 Director: Speilberg
and
Game: 2245 Harry Potter Sorc Stone 0 0 Platform: Gameboy
I have figured out how to do my print statements. They should be like:
public String toString() //creates a print out line
String line01 = " Game: ";
String line02 = super.toString();
String line03 = " Platform: " + platform;
return line01 + line02 + line03;
public void print()
System.out.print(toString()); // sends out the print line
System.out.println(); // goes to the next line
i think my only problem is how to make STORE create an arraylist of ITEMS.
Like how do I specify that director field should go into movie ?
how does the computer know where to put them ?
it seems like nothing is going into the game and movie classes
i will update my code in a second ... to see how far i progressed ... or degressed
