Initial settings for client proxy in SE80.

Hi Experts,
I tried to create a client proxy on the CRM system for a web service URL (where the WSDL exists), in the transaction SE80.
When I tried creating this, the proxy creation halted at a point, stating that the HTTP not found. When I checked the info, it stated that the initial settings in the transaction SICF must be done.
Please let me know what are all the settings that needs to be done in this regard.
TIA. Points shall be awarded.

Kris.

Hi
You should read [this help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/1f/93163f9959a808e10000000a114084/frameset.htm] and

I wrote a report yesterday based on this tutorial and it worked for me. I set the proxy parameters and authentication in the report, so I haven't test the SICF transaction solution.
Hope this helps

  • OSB & WLST: changing operational settings for a proxy service via WLST

    Hi all,
we are trying to change the operational settings for a proxy service via WLST.
In details we would like to change the "Logs" level (Monitoring section).
We have a lot of deployed services and our 'deployer people' need an automatic way (via WLST for example) for doing that instead of using the OSB console.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
OSB is the Oracle Service Bus. Oracle Service Bus is a configuration-based, policy-driven enterprise service bus.
The OSB is deployed into an Oracle WebLogic Server instance.
OSB uses also WLST functionality provided by WebLogic Server.

  • 9ias and Proxy Settings for Client(Urgent !!! )

    Dear All,
I am facing a very strange problem.
Our application is running on Oracle 9ias installed on Windows2000.
When I access this from a WindowsXP M/C with browser(IE 6.0) privacy settings as medium(which is by default medium)and without IP address of 9ias m/c.(Which is infact not required),I do not get the menu of my application generated.
I some how did some hit and trial and now when I put
the IP in proxy settings of my client Browser, I am able to get the menus.
Can anyone give some hint or somebody has faced the
    problem like this.
    Thanks in advance.

That sounds like a "cop-out" to me.  Do individual applications on desktop machines have to be "proxy aware"?
Yes, they have. Not only on iPad, but every internet application, on Mac or on PC or on *nix, have to be coded internally to use proxies. Some are, and are also smart enough to check for any proxy info on network options of your system, some other will have the proxy info to be given in internal application setup, and some other, simply does not know what proxies are.

How can Apple expect to compete in the Enterprise space with this glaring hole in their operating system?  Why can't there be a setting, e.g., "all internet traffic to use proxy server".?
That is a SOCK, and is another different stuff. There is no hole in the O.S., it is the app you want to use, because that app wants connect the internet by herself, without using your proxy.
Best advice is, you ask that app's developer, to add in future releases, proxy connectivity or (best) to check if network requires a proxy and act accordingly without bother the user on the issue
Anyway, I'd like answer also your other questions:

Why am I having problems w/ most apps and the proxy settings?
You have problems because that apps don't think about the proxy setting you have in your network configuration (app poorly coded), or they require direct internet access in their specs (app aware of proxy, and do not want use it), access that you don't have because of proxy. Not your fault. Nor Apple's

  • Error while creating Client Proxy from SE80

    Hi all,
I am trying to create Client Proxy with WSDL through SE80. There is no involvement of XI to create the Proxy.
I am using the option 'Local file' and uploading the wsdl file.
But I am getting the following errors.
    "Proxy-Generierung: Fehler aufgetreten"
    "Exception occurred in library handler"
"Illegal syntax: Element header has invalid enhancement attribute
    http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/:required"
If any one could understand them and worked in a similar scenario, pls help me out.
    regards,
    teja.

    hi,
you might want to post the WSDL in question for us to have a look at.
but actually, the error message tells a lot:
    http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/:required
the second colon(, the one between wsdl/ and required, makes this expression an illegal one in any kind of a URI-like meaning (namespace, ref-URL, ...)

  • GET_BUSINESS_SYSTEM_ERROR for Client Proxy (Without XI)

I created a client proxy for a web service developed by our Microsoft team.  When I use the proxy, I get a system exception with the following text: 'GET_BUSINESS_SYSTEM_ERROR An error occurred when determining the business system (SLD_API_EXCEPTION)'.  All of the SDN posts or blogs I have read on this error refer to SLD issues within XI-enabled environments; however, I don't have XI installed.  I can successfully call web services provided by other sources, such as www.webserviceX.net.  Any ideas on what the issue could be?  Does some component of SLD still need to be maintained for the local environment?
    Thanks.

    Hi Brad,
    You would not believe it.
I had the same issue and came to this link, and thanks to your comment I realized that I had not created the Logical Port!
    I love SDN for this!
Issue resolved and all working now.
For all others, creation of the Logical port was done through SOAMANAGER (t-code).

  • Local settings for clients with print drivers installed on server?

    Greetings,
We have a Windows Server 2012 R2 that has a print driver installed and shared (Xerox 560 ~ Fiery driver).
Clients map to this driver. I.E. they add printer from network and select it from the list.
However, because its mapped, they can't edit the driver or save their settings locally (for example: the accounting code is set in the properties of the driver and not in the preferences).
If they do, as admin, then those changes percolate back up to the sever driver and then to all clients.
My question is how do I get the clients to manage their own local settings, these settings being found in the properties of the print driver and not in the preferences?
I need to be able to set things that are set on the properties (and not preferences) of the driver locally on their computer, but I don't want to have to install the driver manually on every client.
Is their a way to have a local version of the properties page?
    Is this possible?
Thank you for letting me know.

  • Package name for client proxy

    hi All ,
I am new to SAP .I am doing a PROXY> XI> FILE scenario .After generating Proxy when i try to save the proxy
It is prompting  to specify the Package name and the prefix ,Can some one explain me the process how i should create
a package( I dont want to save it as local object). i have read in SDN that it should be a 4 level package .So if some one can give me Step by Step procedure
of creating a 4 level package that would be really great.

    Hi,
Development Packages which are previously called as Development class can be created using TC : SE80.
Goto transaction SE80, select "Package" from dropdown menu and put your package name..( starting with either "z" or "y") and  click on "display button". It will ask wheather you want to create new one..say yes and assign change request number.
When you say "yes" on next screen it will ask you all details..which is nothing but 4 level package. Dont worry about this term. Its normal process of creating packages in R/3. You do not have to take ne extra step.
Once you creat your packeg you can use them while generating proxy's.

  • Time out for Client Proxy

    Hi All,
I have a scenario, where ECC sends a request to a BPM synchronously. The BPM can sends a response back immediately, if it is a success, else  sends the response back to ECC after 2 minutes, if there is a communication failure.
But for the second case, ECC is throwing HTTP 500 error within 1 minute.
We tried to set up the parameter icm/keep_alive_timeout to 180 in ECC side, but it is going into error in exact 60 seconds.
Could you please suggest a solution?
    Regards,
    SS

yes , It is 0. For the success, I am finding the desired result. I checked the work flow monitor. The exception is triggered for communication failure, and the deadline branch is executed. As the connection is terminated by that time, the message is not being able to sent back to ECC.
Do I need to tune the same parameter for PI? Because I am getting HTTP error, it gives me a feeling that  time out at ICM level.

    SS

  • Use System settings for proxy

You should allow the Mac Desktop version to use the system proxy settings.  Curerntly, I have to switch my proxy settings everytime I leave/return to work.  It would be better if Spotify just used the Mac OS system settings for the proxy.  Most other software does this.  And this is why there are system settings in the first place, so other software can take advantage of them.

Good news everyone! Apple Music iTunes perfectly uses the system proxy settings, even when they are set to socks, and that without a restart from the client. Seamless integration, works perfectly.

  • Problems creating a client proxy for a WS

I've tried creating a client proxy from a wsdl but I've had no luck getting it to work.
First of all I created the client proxy in se80 with instructions from a teched lecture. The proxy seems to be generated as intended. When I create the default logical port for the proxy in lpconfig, it doesn't get any URL at all by default in the Call Parameters tab. Atleast in the teched demo the logical port got the default URL straight away.
Therefore I opened the wsdl file with notepad and put the address that was specified in the soap:address element as the location attribute. After saving and activating both the logical port and the client proxy I tried testing the proxy. All the methods give the same following error message:
    Sap Fault Code 1:
Found 0 operation definitions using keys...
The WS works fine from the WS Navigator test page though. If I change the logical port URL I get an "Unsupported xstream found" error message. Thus I assume the URL that I took from the wsdl should be correct. Can I assume the wsdl is somehow broken? As I look closer at the wsdl, it seems to consist of several wsdl's that are imported to the main wsdl.

    Hi Evan,
I don't think the wsdl is broken. I assume your webservice is deployed on WAS. Typically the SAP wsdl consist of 3 files, main wsdl file and 2 other files for binding and porttypes.
When all three files are appropriately available then only the proxy gets generated.
Since in your case the proxy is generated and you could activate it, means there is no problem in the wsdl.
Are there any further details in your error?
Does your service methods require any input and you are providing the input appropriately?
    Regards,
    Vandana.

  • Is it possible to change proxy settings for all profiles that´s created instead of the standard options. We need to change "use systems proxy" into "automatic"

    Proxy Problems
We need to be able to change the default settings for the proxy for all profiles on our computers that´s created for new users.
Standard is that firefox takes the option "use the system options" for the proxy. We would like it to use the option "automatic" instead like IE and Chrome does.
Considering that we have over 500 computers doing this manually isn´t an option, because a new profile is created everytime someone logs on to a computer they haven´t used before.

You can use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock prefs or specify new default values.
Place a file local-settings.js in the defaultspref folder where you also find the file channel-prefs.js to specify using mozilla.cfg.
    pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");
    pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0); // use this to disable the byte-shift
    See:
You can use these functions in mozilla.cfg:
defaultPref(); // set new default value
pref(); // set pref, but allow changes in current session
lockPref(); // lock pref, disallow changes
This will work for all existing and newly created profiles.
