Initialize event happens twice when using setDynamic

Hi.
I'm using WD Java, EP 7 SP 14 and Designer 8.
I have a form with a table, and in the initialize event I add a row to the table using the addInstance() method.
I also set the document to be dynamic using the setDynamic method of the class IWDPDFDocumentInteractiveFormContext, in the method wdDoModifyView.
Then, when I run the form, there are 2 rows added to the table.
But when I don't use the setDynamic method, only one row is added (as it should be).
Is there a chance that using the setDynamic method calls the Initialize event twice?
I'll be thankful if anyone can try this, so I would know if that's a general problem, or if it happens only to me.

Hi Udi,
I donu2019t think the setDynamic() method would trigger the initialize event (I could be wrong though). The case could be that your Initialize code is only getting triggered when you use the setDynamic() method, and the One table row is always there by default!
Try putting some code in your initialize method for debugging:
xfa.host.messageBox("initializing form...");
See how many times this message pops up!

Database call fired twice when using actionListener in dataTable

Hi all,
I have a question regarding the request bean lifecylce in the current use case (using Sun JSF 1.2)
I have a managed bean in request scope that contains an ArrayList which is used as the data provider in a dataTable on a faces page.
The bean contains an init() method to populate the ArrayList using a database call.
The dataTable also contains a column with a commandLink that calls a method via actionListener inside the managed bean to delete the current row.
When I click the link the action gets called and deletes the row from the database. I also reload the data from the database and assign it to my ArrayList.
However, the init Method is also called before the action is executed. So the database call is fired twice when hitting the link:
- First time in the init() method of the bean
- Second time in the actionListener method when reloading the data
I can not remove the call from the actionListener, because the data has not deleted yet.
Question:*
How can I make sure the database call is fired once only? (and also making sure the ArrayList is populated appropriate)
Maybe I am doing something wrong here? Thanks in advance for any help.

No, I do not call the init() method.
Basically the init() is called before the deleteAction() so the ArrayList still contains the old value, unless a second database call is triggered after the entity has been deleted.
Maybe I am missing something here...

Hiding declined events in iCal when using Office365 (or Exchange)?

Events are appearing cancelled on our Exchange/Office365 calendars but do not delete from iCal on our iPads. The cancelled meetings will instead show up in a different color. Anyone else having this same problem or know of a solution? Thanks!

You should be able to edit an event in the Calendars app by tapping the event in quuestion and then tapping edit shown here:

How do I ensure mail is sent from the correct email account? I have two set up on my iPad, and it seems to choose which one to use somewhat randomly. This has happened both when using Mail and when emailing form another app.

I have two email accounts set up on my iPad -- one I use & one I monitor for a disabled person. On several occasions, mail I have composed and sent from my email account was sent showing the other account as the sender. This has happened both from within Mail and when emailing from other apps, such as Safari, Photos, etc. Any idea what is going on and how to prevent this from happening?

Are you confirming your POP account is selected as the sending email account before the message is sent?
And regardless if the email is a new email or is replying to or forwarding an email received by the POP account and cofirming the POP acconut is selected as the sending email account, the message is sent by the Gmail account?
All message sent by the POP account are sent by the Gmail account?
If so, delete the Gmail account from your iPad and test if a message sent with your POP account which will be the only email account available with the iPad's Mail app is recieved from your POP account/address.
If not, something else is wrong or on play that has nothing to do with the iPad.

Open File Dialog appears TWICE when using servlet to download an attachment

This is KILLING me!!! Please HELP.....
I am using a servlet to download an xml file, which I build on the fly based on user interaction.
The open file dialog appears nicely and I hit open. The dialog pops up again immediately and I have to click open again in order to open the file.
This works fine when file extension is txt and I DONOT have to click twice. Here is the code:

Word attaching document twice when using File Save & Send

When a users chooses File - Save & Send - Send As Attachment, the attachment appears twice on the email. This has happened with several users here at the firm. Has anyone experienced this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. FYI
- recreating the Outlook profile does not fix the issue.

First, please try to test this issue with an Excel worksheet (via File - Save & Send - Send As Attachment) and check if you can reproduce it.
In addition, please temporarily turn off your antivirus software and make sure it is not integrated with Outlook, then open Outlook in safe mode to check if the problem persists. To open Outlook in safe mode, press Windows key + R to open the Run command,
type outlook.exe /safe and press Enter.

Swfobject 2.2 in FireFox displays swf twice when using alternate content

I have built a Flash site and also set it up with alternate content so it can be viewed on iPhone and iPad as well as other mobile devices. It works great everywhere but in FireFox the site's swf loads on the page twice.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, what have you done to work around this FireFox bug?

Need to select link twice when using Browser back button

I see that my command_link works fine in normal scenarios.
But when I come to that page using browser back button and then select the link within the page.... the first time, looks like its regenerating the page and only when I select the link second time it is calling the action listener associated with the link.
Any clue as to how to fix this problem?

I have a very high pitched constant sound coming through my monitors when my iMac 2013 is plugs into my audio interface (Komplete Audio 6) this doesn't happen with when using the same set up but with my macbook powering the interface

Hi i was wondering if anyone could help me out with regards to this high pitched noise- i am assuming its coming from the imac as when i swap that with my laptop in the exact same setup all high pitched noises are gone.

Forced to log into an App twice when using the Builder.

I have had this ongoing problem.
On my login page I have submit computations that set application level items to values. These items drive subsequent reports that appear on page 1. If I login as a normal user everything is fine. Problem...If I login via the builder as a developer, I have to login, logout, then login a second time for the values to be set. then my report is filtered. Is there a fix to this?
Help...it's so frustrating!

When clicking on a button on a website, for example "printable view" on a webmail document, nothing happens. When using Internet Explorer, another windows pops up.

Have you thought about installing Firefox 11??
Since add-ons are a common culprit in modifying website functionality, you could test without them.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox
[http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up. Just click "Continue in Safe Mode".
Do the links work correctly? If not, you try creating a new (blank) profile: [http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles Managing profiles].

Weird order of events added to iCal using Applescript

This is a script that has worked perfectly in the past and as far as I know has not been modified (my bad if so...) Currently it is adding all the correct events into iCal but taking a real long time to do it and this is probably due to the weird chronology it takes to putting the events in. I will include the script at the bottom of this post and here is a section of the event log that shows the weird chronology... Thanks in advance for the help.

Did it run faster in the past?
The events are happening as your script is generating them - for example, you get the event summary to compare in an if statement, then get it again when you assign it to a variable. The Script Editor's *Event Log* is handy in this case to see when you are creating a lot of extraneous or duplicate events.
Also, when using application tell statements, you should only target the application's terminology, since it will just pass back what it doesn't know how to do - in other words, try not to put anything in the statement except what you need from the application.
I don't have your iCal calendar events to play with, but a couple of tweaks to your code should improve the performance:

Error message when using function module HRIQ_TESTRESULTS_CREATE

I need your help, I'm trying to use function module HRIQ_TESTRESULTS_CREATE to create external test results, I've used this function before without subscores, now I need to create subscores, but I get the message: "Grading scale UBID applies".
The test type EXAM_UB_ING has assigned the UBID academic scale, which has a range from 1 to 677. Test type EXAM_UB_ING has 3 subtests (grammar, listening and reading) which also have the UBID academic scale assigned.
I think this isn't a customizing problem because I can create test results with subscores using the PIQST00 transaction, the error message happens just when using the function module.
I'm using this import parameters:

Does anybody know which could be the error? Or any other function module which I can use? (with HRIQ_TESTRESULTS_PROCESS_DATA I get the same error message).

I just noticed. You are populating SUBTESTSCALE_ID in subtest result structure.That's the reason it's throwing this error. it is trying to match Scale ID from test with value in sub test result scale ID.

Applications disappear when using external mouse

Using windows 7 professional on a brand new T410 (2537-RZ5).
Happens only when using an external mouse and mouse is stationary for random periods of time (seconds or minutes).
Problem: all applications (internet explorer, office, etc) will suddenly disappear (sometimes only leaving outside border of application) to reveal desk top - does not matter which application i have open or whether there is one or multiple. Desktop color is correct but instead of solid color it has a diagonal ribbed effect to the color. Applications will reappear moment I move the mouse.
Happens with variety of external mouse - does not happen if using laptop mousepad (i.e. no plug in). All latest windows and lenovo updates installed as far as I know but has not fixed bug. Has happened again just while writing this message - quite frustrating.
Please help if you can.

I noticed a similar phenomenon and found that my mouse cursor was landing over the sensitive spot on the right side of the task bar which harbors the "Show Desktop" Aero feature. Check it out.
