Input from SSR

Hi,
I am having problems getting a signal from an SSR.  It has an internal resistance somewhere between 40 and 100 ohms (nominally about 50 ohms).  The SSR has normally open and normally closed contacts and I need to check that both sets of contacts are functioning when expected to.  I have connected the common line of the SSR to ground and the N/O and N/C lines to two digital inputs of PCI MIO -16E - 4.  The N/O input seems to function as expected, but the N/C line is pulled high (positive input) when not connected, and the relay passes the test.
What options do I have for connecting the relay as an input to the DAQ board?
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Tom,
The COM line is connected to the ground of the board, but htis is also connected to the ground of the power supply.  To be honest, I didn't think it would work unless I did that.
Hopefully the attached diagram will be of some use.
FS2 and FS3 are fuses and VDR4/5/6 are transient suppressors.
I'm afraid I don't know much about these, but it doesn't look like they should affect my test.
Thanks,
Dan

  • Can we update the data from SSRS report to any database ?

    Hi Team,
    Greetings !!!!
    Can we update the data from SSRS report to any database ?
    Thanks,
    Anand Gavle.

    Nope SSRS doesnt have write back options. Its just a reporting tool
    However one thing you can do is to link a webpage from SSRS report and do the changes through it
    SSRS has the ability to navigate to web page through which you can capture any data inputs from users and save it to your db.

  • How to take Input from the callers telephone keypad into oracle database

    My client requires to automate a registration task for his customers by telephone. The requirement is the Oracle database should take numeric input from the callers telephone keypad eg 1 or 2 or 3 and the oracle must store this input inside its database and do some required processing with such input and generate a unique numeric id (sequence) and send back this unique numeric ID to the caller who is on hold. Please Note. Is there any electronic device to be installed at the client site to solve the above task eg. any telephone line to be connected to the CPU and etc?
    I completely have zero knowledge. Please can you outline/summarise the instructions how to construct and install to meet my client requirement.
    If this is not possible in Oracle I Can migrate to any database. Please suggest.
    please help me. if you cant help i appretiate if you give me some clues

    You need to start with your telephone system. Normally this situation would involve some sort of PBX or other internal switching equipment. Talk to your vendor. There's likely to be software, etc. available to perform the interaction with the end user.
    It should have programmable "hooks" to interface with various databases. To Oracle it just looks like another program.

  • I am getting a -50101 error when trying to get analog input from a compact rio

    I am just doing the initial setup of my compactRIO system and have been able to successfully add the cRio in Max and then into a new project.  I created a very simple VI with analog input that I am trying to read into an indicator, following one of teh tutorials.  The module I am reading the input from is a cRio-9201.  The input is voltage.  I have already added the module to teh project under the FPGA, which is under the RIO in the project tree.  Any ideas what I may be missing would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

    The 9201 C Series module needs to be created under the FPGA Target
    (cRIO-910x) in the LabVIEW Project. You can either discover the module
    or create it by type. In case you haven't created the FPGA Target
    (cRIO-910x) under the cRIO Controller (cRIO-900x), you must do that
    first. You also have the option of discovering the cRIO-910x or to
    create it by type. I suggest you do it through discovery, so you don't
    need to manually configure the addresses.
    As how to create the items, that's done through right-click on the
    cRIO-900x and select New>>Targets and Devices.... It will pop up
    a dialog in which you expand FPGA Target and it will discover the FPGA
    Target. Similar steps are followed to create the 9201 module.
    If you don't see the FPGA Target and C Series module options, then you
    need to make sure NI-RIO 2.0 is installed in you computer.

  • Create link to excel sheet from ssrs

    Hi!
    I,m trying to create a link from SSRS to an excel sheet that is placed on a server (in my case the same server as Sql is running)
    \\csedb30\BusinessWarehouse\VDC\Actual\exceltest.xlsx.  I have made links to url sites and to other reports within reporting services, But this time i would like to use a
    textbook control in a report and when the user click on the texbox it should open up the excel sheet in the same way that a hyperlink works in excel. The problem seems to be that i have to link to a source on a server not a URL adress.
    Is there any solution to this.
    Best regards
    Arne
    Arne Olsson

    Hi Arne,
    In this scenario, you just need to put    file:\\csedb30\BusinessWarehouse\Linktest.xlsx in the Go to URL expression. Don't put "=" in the expression,
    and the path will be underlined. And you need to redeploy the project to make it work. After you click the textbox, the path will be shown in the browser.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
    Best Regards,
    Simon Hou

  • How can multiple vis share input from a DAQ simutaneously

    How can multiple vis share data input from a DAQ simutaneously?
    Recently I am building a EMG measurement platform and somehow DAQ data need to be shared by several vis at the same  time.
    Are there any ideas?

    If you may need to add/delete tasks that will need th edata you may want to consider a publich/subscribe pattern. Basically your DAQ task will post a message to a single queue. The process listening on this queue (message broker) will determine if there are other processes registered to receive this message. When a device registers for a message it provides a queue to receive it on. The message broker will then post the message to all interested processes. The nice thing about this pattern is that you have dedicated code to handle broadcasting the message and it is very easy at run time to change the number of processes that get the message. The DAQ task will always send the message and will not care how many processes are listening.

    i am trying read a input from a radio button ,normly
    if the name of radio button is "priority" and if u
    referrence it as request.getParameter("priority") it
    shld work right but mine does not.
    A couple of things not necessarily addressing your problem, but still..
    Avoid too much Java code in the JSP. Use existing tags or write new custom tags to do the task.
    Avoid database access form the JSP itself, if possible.
    <% rs = stmt.executeQuery("select
    PRIORITYNAME,PRIORITYDESC from TBL_PRIORITY ");
    <td>Priority</td>
    <% while(rs.next())
    %>
    <input name="priority" type="radio"><%
    out.println(rs.getString(1)); %><%
    out.println(rs.getString(2)); %><br>
    <%
    %>
    I'm not quite sure what are you trying to do with the above. You want the labels of the radio buttons to be obtained from the database as well as their values, is it?
    Does PRIORITYNAME correspond to the value of the radio button and PRIORITYDESC correspond to the label of the radio button?
    If that's the case, I think you need to do it as follows:
    Radio button is declared as follows in HTML
    <input name="priority" type="radio" value="<%rs.getString(1)"%>><%rs.getString(2)%></input>
    is it bcs i am using a loop !! bcs am populating the
    radio fields from a databaseNo

  • Is it possible to input itunes into DVI/HDCP input from imac with Apple mini display portS?

    Is it possible to input itunes into DVI/HDCP input from imac with Apple mini display port? Or is there another way?

    The problem with itunes is needing a computer running it. or continuous internet connection.
    A Time Capsule is AC mains powered.. no battery. Although you can certainly buy an older Gen4 TC and modify it ...
    https://sites.google.com/site/lapastenague/time-capsule-power-supply-repair-kits
    I have run my TC on a 12V SLA battery.. which would neatly meet that part of the functionality you want. But it is heavy and not really the rugged sort of device I think you want.
    But I would look at other media players and other ways of storing movies than iTunes.. if you want to carry the whole lot around with you .. A bunch of SD cards even you could plug into the ipad??
    External storage for iPad?
    A small cheap PC/Mac laptop with a 1TB hard disk  in it.. and 11" or 13" screen.. can often be a much better solution than lugging around multiple items so you can fit Apple devices into your life.

  • How to force to wait and get input from a jframe-jpanel?

    I would like to use a jframe-jpanel to get user input instead of using JOptionPane.showInputDialog since there will be more than 1 input.
    But I could not do it. The code reads the panel lines and passes to other lines below without waiting for the okay button to be pressed.
    This is the part of code of my main frame;
    jLabel10.setText(dene.toString());
    if (dene == 0) {
    // todo add button input panel
    //String todo_write = JOptionPane.showInputDialog("Please enter a todo item");
    JFrame frameTodoAddInput = new JFrame( "Please input..." );
    TodoAddAsk1JPanel todoaddpanel = new TodoAddAsk1JPanel();
    frameTodoAddInput.add(todoaddpanel);
    frameTodoAddInput.setSize( 600, 200 ); // set frame size
    frameTodoAddInput.setLocation(300, 300);
    //String todo_write = todoaddpanel.getNewTodoItem();
    String todo_write = todoaddpanel.getNewTodoItem();
    jLabel10.setText("Satir 1822 de".concat(todo_write));
    // end of todo add button input panel
    todoTextPane1.setText(todo_write);
    This is the code of input panel;

    Thank you very much for your help. But I would like
    to get 3 inputs from 1 window at the same time and I
    could not find any example code for JDialog for more
    than 1 input. If any body can show how to write this
    code, it would be appreciated.
    ThanksYou can write your own. A JDialog is a container just look a JFrame is.

  • Getting input from textbox as "console"

    Hi all. I am learning C# and have a Windows forms project that I am working on to learn various techniques. Basically it has a text box that I use to mimic a console. The user enters a command followed by the Enter key and the program reads that in and interprets
    it. I also have some rudimentary "batch" commands, such as IF/THEN, INPUT and PRINT.
    The application has two main components: The form and a class. The form takes care of interpreting the commands that the user enters and the class implements the three batch commands (more to follow in the near future). The issue that I am having is that
    sometimes (maybe 2%) the INPUT functionality does not work. When I enter a string and press Enter an empty string is returned. I have tried to debug this as much as I can, but it is difficult since this problem only happens once in a while.
    I have extracted the INPUT functionality and duplicated it in a simple app which I present here. The test app contains one button called btnConRead and a multi line text box called txtConsole. Clicking the button "forces" the app into "run"
    mode where the batch commands are interpreted. For this example I run the code that runs when an INPUT command is being processed. The app prompts with "OK" and waits for the user to type something in. When the user presses the Enter key the entered
    string is echoed on the console. The form module contains this code:
    string sKBBuf = ""; //App wide KB buffer when form Key preview is enabled.
    bool bEnter;
    private delegate void DisplayMsgDelegate(string sMsg);
    private void cEventPrint(object sender, PrintDataEventArgs e)
    Display(txtConsole, e.sPrintLine);
    private void cEventRead(object sender, ReadDataEventArgs e)
    //Event that reads text from the console and returns it.
    //This event requires input from the user. It traps the program here until the user
    //presses Enter.
    //Clear the KB buffer.
    sKBBuf = "";
    //Loop incessantly until user presses Enter key or Stop key (s).
    do
    //Braindead.
    } while (!bEnter);
    if (bEnter)
    //User pressed the Enter key, return the KB buffer.
    e.sReadLine = sKBBuf;
    //Empty buffer.
    sKBBuf = "";
    //Reset Enter key flag.
    bEnter = false;
    //Push CRLF to console.
    Display(txtConsole, Environment.NewLine);
    private void DisplayMsg(string sMsg)
    txtConsole.AppendText(sMsg);
    private void Display(TextBox txtOutput, string sMsg, bool bToCon = true)
    //Check output to console flag.
    if (bToCon)
    if (txtOutput.InvokeRequired)
    txtOutput.Invoke(new DisplayMsgDelegate(DisplayMsg), sMsg);
    else
    txtOutput.AppendText(sMsg);
    private void GetConInput()
    clsExample cEx = new clsExample();
    cEx.ReadData += cEventRead;
    cEx.PrintData += cEventPrint;
    System.Threading.Thread runThread = new System.Threading.Thread(() =>
    cEx.Process();
    this.KeyPreview = false;
    this.KeyPreview = true;
    runThread.Start();
    private void btnReadCon_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
    //Prep stuff
    sKBBuf = "";
    txtConsole.Focus();
    Display(txtConsole, "OK" + Environment.NewLine);
    //Read console textbox
    GetConInput();
    private void Form1_KeyPress(object sender, KeyPressEventArgs e)
    bEnter = e.KeyChar == 13;
    //Save to buffer. At this time I am not distinguishing from letter or digits.
    //But I do need to check for a BS.
    if (e.KeyChar == 8)
    //Yeah, BS, remove the last char, if any.
    if (sKBBuf.Length > 0)
    sKBBuf = sKBBuf.Substring(0, sKBBuf.Length - 1);
    else
    sKBBuf += e.KeyChar;
    The class is called clsExample and contains the following code:
    //Event raised when data needs to be printed to console.
    public event EventHandler<PrintDataEventArgs> PrintData;
    //Event raised when data needs to be read from console.
    public event EventHandler<ReadDataEventArgs> ReadData;
    protected virtual void OnReadData(ReadDataEventArgs e)
    EventHandler<ReadDataEventArgs> handler = ReadData;
    if (handler != null)
    handler(this, e);
    protected virtual void OnPrintData(PrintDataEventArgs e)
    EventHandler<PrintDataEventArgs> handler = PrintData;
    if (handler != null)
    handler(this, e);
    public void Process()
    ReadDataEventArgs argsRead = new ReadDataEventArgs();
    PrintDataEventArgs args = new PrintDataEventArgs();
    string sMsg = "";
    //Get input from user.
    OnReadData(argsRead);
    if (argsRead.sReadLine.Length > 0)
    //I have something
    sMsg = argsRead.sReadLine;
    else
    //No data
    sMsg = "*";
    args.sPrintLine = sMsg + Environment.NewLine;
    OnPrintData(args);
    Plus two more support classes for the Print and Read events:
    public class PrintDataEventArgs : EventArgs
    public string sPrintLine { get; set; }
    public class ReadDataEventArgs : EventArgs
    public string sReadLine { get; set; }
     All the above was necessary so that the Process procedure running in a different thread could interact with the UI elements in the main form. The above mostly works, but I wonder if I am doing it the right way. I don't particularly like the use of
    global flags, such as bEnter or having empty loops to just "kill" time, such as the one found in the cEventRead procedure.
    In the cEventRead procedure I had the if() block immediately following the empty loop inside
    the loop and moved it out of there to see if this made any difference, but apparently it did not. Can anyone provide any feedback or suggestions of what I could change to make it work 100% of the time? I appreciate your time and effort. Thank you, Saga
    You can't take the sky from me

    //Loop incessantly until user presses Enter key or Stop key (s).
    do
    //Braindead.
    } while (!bEnter);
    Hi Saga,
    Please don't use such kind of loop in your code, if you want to monitor the user input, just use the KeyPress event provided by the TextBox control.
    Control.KeyPress
    Event
    If you just want to execute some standard commands, I recommend that you use
    Process to start cmd.exe to execute the command, for example:
    void ExecuteCommand(string command)
    int exitCode;
    ProcessStartInfo processInfo;
    Process process;
    processInfo = new ProcessStartInfo("cmd.exe", "/c " + command);
    processInfo.CreateNoWindow = true;
    processInfo.UseShellExecute = false;
    // *** Redirect the output ***
    processInfo.RedirectStandardError = true;
    processInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = true;
    process = Process.Start(processInfo);
    process.WaitForExit();
    // *** Read the streams ***
    string output = process.StandardOutput.ReadToEnd();
    string error = process.StandardError.ReadToEnd();
    exitCode = process.ExitCode;
    Console.WriteLine("output>>" + (String.IsNullOrEmpty(output) ? "(none)" : output));
    Console.WriteLine("error>>" + (String.IsNullOrEmpty(error) ? "(none)" : error));
    Console.WriteLine("ExitCode: " + exitCode.ToString(), "ExecuteCommand");
    process.Close();
    If it's powershell script, you can also use the existing library to execute it, check this blogpost:
    Executing PowerShell scripts from C#

  • Read Input from console !!!

    Im am very new to java and trying to learn java ..
    Now the problem i have is, I have to read input from console without using the BufferReader method..
    Please tell me how to go about it..
    I have a assignment to complete and im not able to figure out the way out.
    Help ..

    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/docs/api/java/lang/System.html
    Read first about the System class provided by Java.
    Select the 'in' method of System class and it will take
    you to the InputStream.
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/docs/api/java/io/InputStream.html
    An essay way of reading input is:
    "value?"=System.in.read();
    Try and see if this works. It will not use the
    BufferReader portion, but it gives you another way
    of reading from the console.

  • How can i create a dynamic structure based on my input from a select-option

    Hello,
    This is to develop a custom report in FI for G/L Balance based on company code.
    I have an input select-option for Company code.
    Based on the range of company code my output layout should be modified.
    I am not very much sure to create a dynamic internal based on the input from a select-option.
    Can any one please let me know how can i do this.
    I would appreciate for anyone who turns up quickly.
    Thank you,
    With regs,
    Anitha Joss.

    See the following program, it builds a dynamic internal table based on the company codes from the select option.
    report zrich_0001 .
    type-pools: slis.
    field-symbols: <dyn_table> type standard table,
                   <dyn_wa>.
    data: alv_fldcat type slis_t_fieldcat_alv,
          it_fldcat type lvc_t_fcat.
    data: it001 type table of t001 with header line.
    selection-screen begin of block b1 with frame title text-001.
    select-options: s_bukrs for it001-bukrs.
    selection-screen end of block b1.
    start-of-selection.
      select * into table it001 from t001
                     where bukrs in s_bukrs.
      perform build_dyn_itab.
    *  Build_dyn_itab
    form build_dyn_itab.
      data: index(3) type c.
      data: new_table type ref to data,
            new_line  type ref to data,
            wa_it_fldcat type lvc_s_fcat.
      clear wa_it_fldcat.
      wa_it_fldcat-fieldname = 'PERIOD' .
      wa_it_fldcat-datatype = 'CHAR'.
      wa_it_fldcat-intlen = 6.
      append wa_it_fldcat to it_fldcat .
      loop at it001.
        clear wa_it_fldcat.
        wa_it_fldcat-fieldname = it001-bukrs .
        wa_it_fldcat-datatype = 'CHAR'.
        wa_it_fldcat-intlen = 4.
        append wa_it_fldcat to it_fldcat .
      endloop.
    * Create dynamic internal table and assign to FS
      call method cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table
                   exporting
                      it_fieldcatalog = it_fldcat
                   importing
                      ep_table        = new_table.
      assign new_table->* to <dyn_table>.
    * Create dynamic work area and assign to FS
      create data new_line like line of <dyn_table>.
      assign new_line->* to <dyn_wa>.
    endform.

  • Need help with ouput of a list or array of numbers input from user

    I'm only a few weeks into learning java, so this may seem simple to some, but...
    I am trying to write a program that will receive numbers from a user,
    and then list, add, average those numbers. I've got the program to
    work except for listing the numbers that were input.
    Can someone help guide me????
    i've left the code I've tried in as comments.
    Enter an integer value, the program exits if the input is 0:
    20
    Enter an integer value, the program exits if the input is 0:
    40
    Enter an integer value, the program exits if the input is 0:
    60
    Enter an integer value, the program exits if the input is 0:
    80
    Enter an integer value, the program exits if the input is 0:
    0
    Total numbers entered: 4
    The array of numbers is: 0 0 0 0
    The sum is 200
    The average is 50
    The maximum number is 0
    The minimum is 0
    Here is my code:
    * Title:        Reads integers and finds the total, average, maximum of the input values

      int sum = 0;
      int countnum = -1;
      int maximum = 0;
      int minimum = 0;
      int average = (countnum - 1);
      do
          System.out.println("Enter an integer value, " +
            " the program exits if the input is 0:  ");
          data = MyInput.readInt();
          sum += data;
          countnum++;
        } while (data != 0);
          //in order to figure the max & the min it appears that the
        //program will need to utilize arrays to store the individual numbers
        //that are input from the user.
        //create an array of the input data
        int[] number = new int[countnum];
        //creat a list of the input data
        int []myList = {data};
        //lists how many numbers entered
        System.out.println("Total numbers entered:  " + number.length);
        //list array of numbers -- this is giving me [I@3179c3,
        //instead of 20, 40, 60, 80 when I use "new int[countnum]"
    //     System.out.print("The array of numbers is: "
    //      + new int[countnum]);
        //list array of numbers:  this is giving me " 0 0 0 0 "
           //instead of 20, 40, 60, 80  with the following for statement
           // (number[i] + " ")
        System.out.print("The array of numbers is: ");
          for(int i=0; i<number.length; i++)
            System.out.print(number[i] + "  ");
      //list mylist of numbers from input, 20, 40, 60, 80
      //output is The list of numbers is: [I@3179c3
    //  System.out.print("The list of numbers is: " + myList);
        System.out.println();
        System.out.println("The sum is " +  sum);
        average = sum/countnum;
        System.out.println("The average is " + average);
        System.out.println("The maximum number is " +  maximum);
        System.out.println("The minimum is " +  minimum);

    When you input the data you need to save it to the array. Currently you are not saving the value you are just adding it
    ArrayList nums = new ArrayList();
       do
           System.out.println("Enter an integer value, " +
             " the program exits if the input is 0:  ");
           data = MyInput.readInt();
    nums.add(new Integer(data));
           sum += data;
           countnum++;
         } while (data != 0);
