We are using TM04 and rule TR30 for Czech Republic
Scenario
e.g. if hired on Nov 11, 2011, there < 60 wd remaining. They get 1/12 (25/12 = 2.1d) for every 21 work days remaining - in this case 2 periods of 21 wd, since RIM days and holidays are included as work days, for a total of 4.5 days (round up to half-day).

problem is not clear. is there any middleware/interface in between third party and app. server?
(middle ware picks the file from third party and place the same in the SAP app. server.)

    I just couldn't make it to work. I'm getting a dump when I pressed the dropdown on the "TIME" field.
    I was wondering, has anyone used this in conjunction with select-options (WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS) ?
    I'm getting a system-dump, "Component usage VALUE_HELP does not exist". I double checked the name that I used on the "USED COMPONENT" tab and it is VALUE_HELP.
    During method ADD_SELECTION_FIELD (for IF_WD_SELECT_OPTIONS) I'm using two parameters I_VALUE_HELP_TYPE = 'APPLDEV' and I_VALUE_HELP_ID = 'VALUE_HELP'.
    Maybe I'm not using the right parameters ?
    Anyway, I would appreciate if anyone could give me directions to correct the problem.Or maybe there is another and better way of having an input help for a "TIME" type field on select-option.

    That is because the TIME is a freely programmed value help and freely programmed value helps are not supported by the Select-Options component.  That limited is listed in the online help:
    Type of input help specified as type IF_WD_VALUE_HELP_HANDLER.
    Note that only ABAP Dictionary-based input help and OVS input help are supported; freely programmable input help is not supported.

    The reason for this is that the freely programmed value help is accessed via a component usage.  The Select-Options however are a separate component. They have no declaration to your components, component usages.  Therefore they produce the error that the component usage doesn't exist - which is correct.  It doesn't exist in the Select-Options Component.

    Are there any recommendations from Apple for the size of external hard drive for Time Machine?
    Also, is there any formula for the amount of hard drive space = how any days, months, or years of backup available?
    Sorry about the poorly worded question.

    Size of HD = IBS + [30*DCD + 487*DCD]NM
    or
    Size of HD = IBS + 365NMDCD
    where
    IBS = Initial Backup Size (GBs)
    NM = Number of Months wanted before HD fills
    DCD = Daily Churn Data in GBs
    So lets say
    IBS=160 GB
    NM=24 (2 years wanted before having to worry about disk full)
    DCD=0.05 GB of daily churned data on average (50 MB of changed and new data)
    Size of HD = 160 + 365240.05 = 598 GB
    If you wanted just NM = 12 then the HD size should be around 350 to 400 GB
    Much depends on how many months you want to go before being bothered with disk full and how much average daily data churn you have.
    Note that TM will make much effort to clean up old data that can be safely deleted before giving up when disk becomes full. It will also provide you with the opportunity to clean up old backups yourself to free up space.
    Of course you can always re-format the TM backup HD and start over again but you obviously lose your TM backup history. You can also to decide you can delete the oldest 6 months of data and keep the more recent history to continue on with thr freed up disk space.

    I have a question in ESS Worflows? The Workflow is for 'Work Permit Application' which is complete customized development with Portal ivews. Now as Employee will fill out this form and press Submit than at the same time Workflow need to be triggered in background in SAP R/3 for some approvals.
    Now my doubt is that how will I know that the end user has entered something in that forms as there is no  Standard Business Object Event since this is customized developement?
    So in this scenario do i need to create a Z Business Object with some events but the problem here is that there is no Super type for the Z business object, if this can be done than please provide me with some sample step by step procedure for the same.
    Please provide me with some sought of inputs as I am new to ESS Workflows.

    Similar questions have been asked before so you could search for those. Do you only use iviews or also webdynpros in the iviews?
    From the portal you have the option to call RFC's, so you can trigger an event using the standard WAPI (mentioned several times here in the forum). You can also use a standard object and event (BUS1065 for instance) if these fulfill the requirements.

  • Space requirements for Time Machine?

    I have recently bought an iMac (last week) and awaiting my update to Leopard. One of the novelties that interests me most about Leopard is the Time Machine, but I was wondering how much disk space it would require on my external drive.
    I know this depends on the data I need to back up. Both my internal and external drive are 500 Gb. I have for some 100 Gb worth of data, pictures and applications on my internal drive, and for some 350 Gb of data on the external drive.
    Does Time Machine backup everything, including the installed applications, or can one indicate which files should and should not be backed up.

    You'll need enough space on the external to contain the initial backup, subsequent hourly backups will be incremental as you create/ make changes to files/ folder. One of the nice features with TM is that you can set its preferences to exclude files and folder, making the backups much smaller in size.

    The external will be of sufficient size for TM backup. When TM finally fills the external it can then over-write the older backups if you wish (or you can attach another disk to keep every backup it ever made, not necessary for most I think).

    Actually in R/3 Transactions are recorded in different currencies like 1)USD
                    2)AUD,CAD,EURO(Non-USD or FCC)
    Firstly,
    I need to display whole report in USD only. I have to convert all other currencies to USD (What are the posssible options and how to handle Currency Conversion)
    Second Scenario
    Moreover I have to provide Selection Screen options for Query in  such a way that query  has to display like below
    1) USD only.( If I give USD in selection screen of query it has to Retreive USD data only)
    2)FCC(NON-USD) only.(It has to retreive AUD,CAD,EURO etc only)
    3)Doc Currency (if i give whatever currency like it that may be USD or CAD or AUD that only should be retreived.)
    How to handle the above Selection criteria
    As iam not aware of the above Pls be very clear.

    Hi,
    If you shift the display mode of FF7B to standard Overview (F9) or click balance on display currency, the values will be shown in selected display currency in the entry screen.
    The pre-requisiste for getting correct value is to maintain the curr conversion table daily using OB08.

  • Specific Power Requirements For iPods?

    +(Yes I searched, no I didn't find this information.)+
    I am looking for specific power requirements for multiple iPod models; 1st-Generation iPod touch, 5th-Generation 80GB Video, 3rd & 4th-Generation iPod nano, and 2nd-Generation Shuffle, to be precise.
    I am not looking for the obvious information found on the Apple site, such as charge times and USB vs. FireWire. I need more accurate data such as exact mAh and wattage input requirements for each iPod. I know I have chargers that will satisfy the needs of the nanos and 80GB but leave the 1st-Gen touch wanting and waiting for more. At the same time, I do not wish to overload the smaller iPod models like the shuffle.
    I have searched Apple.com and the Apple forums as well as Google, but I cannot find this information anywhere.
    Please help! I am trying to find suitable alternate power supplies such as solar, crank, and AA/AAA-battery backup sources and I want one that will work with all of my current iPods and hopefully future iPod purchases as well (to include many current iPods). Thank you!

    I don't have the info you need on the iPods.
    But I have an AC charger bought originally to use with another brand of mp3 player. After I got my iPod, I didn't see the point in buying another AC charger if it would work with iPod, since the company (Griffintechnology) also makes some for iPods. (Of course, I would have to switch out the USB cable to the one that works with iPod, but that's easy enough.) I couldn't find the info on their web site or on Apple's, so I emailed Griffin, and they told me it was safe to use with the iPod. So far, so good.
    So I would suggest emailing the maker of the chargers you already own, to check on compatibility. I know Griffin makes them, as does DLO. As far as AA/AAA rechargers, we recently got one from www.adrenalinetechnologies.com (haven't yet used it, though) that's supposed to work with multiple iPod models, and they have multiple adapters and such for different things.

    Anyone know if Apple have (or are going to) released information on the actual power input requirements for the MacBook Pro ? I specifically mean for the machine, NOT it's AC adapter.

    I suspect the answer is going to be NO, if so then I would suggest they reconsider their policy - making up new proprietry connectors and restricting the supply of third party products like this is really having an effect on their image. People DO notice this sort of thing, and suggest they've been taking lessons from Microsoft in how to restrict people/force them to buy more than they intended.
    Given that I've a box full of dead Apple supplies for PowerBooks, some of which have already been repaired and given a second life, then I'd rather put off buying a MacBook until I know I can either make, buy, or adapt a third party supply (at a reasonable cost). I'm powering my PowerBoook now off a third party supply that seems better built and was half the price of an Apple supply. Plus I need three, one to live under the desk at home, another to live under the desk at work, and a third to go around in my case - it makes life so much easier. I've no intention of shelling out for three extra Apple supplies (two extras and a spare for WHEN one packs in).

    I wrote a VI to convert BCD to and from decimal and attached it here.  I quickly put it together moments ago, so it is likely not the most efficient possible, but it should work

  • Report requirement, for count before the input selection.

    I have a requirement:
    And in infoprovider we have :
    in 07.2011, 10 records were created.
    in 08.2011, 40 records were created.
    in 09.2011, 50 records were created.
    in 10.2011, 70 records were created.
    User enters month interval like 07.2011 - 10.2011
    and wants outout like:
    Calmonth:... 07.2011....08.2011.......09.2011.......10.2011
    Count  : ........30010.......30050...........30100..........30170
    Means.in report  07.2011 should show all the count upto 07.2011,
    Similarly 08.2011 show all counts upto 08.2011 month. And in same way others also.
    Since input is  07.2011 to 10.2011, so report is considering  only data between this range only.
    How do i get count before 07.2011 in report and meet report requirement.
    Please suggest and let me know if more information is required.

    Hi Jitender,
    It is not possible to generate the query columns dynamically in the output based on the user input.
    For getting the aggregated value what you can do is, create a customer exit variable on fiscal period and restrict it from some starting period till user entered period.
    In your example let us say you have data from 07.2009 then your customer exit variable will have range from 07.2009 till 07.2011. Use this variable in a RKF with count as key figure and period as customer exit variable here you will get the output as 30010.
    For getting the next columns you can change the period range by using offset. But you will have to create different columns beforehand in the query design itself. The only thing you can do is based on the user input different columns will be populated even you can keep the dynamic text using text variable so that you will get dynamic period heading but dynamic creation of columns is not possible.
