Insert a Blank Column in the Results Area of a Workbook

Is it possible to insert a blank column in the results area of a WORKBOOK that does not get affected by free characteristic drill down or refreshing of the corresponding query?  The current workbook looks like follows
Column A - Characteristic1
Column B - Characteristic2
Column C - KeyFigure1
Column D - KeyFigure2
Column E - KeyFigure3
Column F - KeyFigure4
The requirement is that the user wants to enter some estimates between Column B and Column C and Column D and Column E as follows
Column A - Characteristic1
Column B - Characteristic2
Column C - USER ENTRY
Column D - KeyFigure1
Column E - KeyFigure2
Column F - USER ENTRY
Column G - KeyFigure3
Column H - KeyFigure4
Column I - CALCULATIONS BASED ON USER ENTRY
First I tried to split the results area and save the workbook.  But when the query is refreshed then the entire results area gets back in one piece.  I succeeded partially by having a key figure with no possible output (i.e., restricting a non-existent value on a characteristic).  Again in here, whatever user inputs will get wiped out with the drill down.  Does any one have any pointers?  Thanks.
IS

Hi IS,
As a nearly workaround I can suppose to do the following.
Create two identical requests.
In the first one hide the columns to the right from your intended new user column. In the second one - hide columns to left.
Knowing the columns number to be shown in each request you can place both request in the same row, but in different columns taking into account that between result areas should be one (or more) additional column.
Data entered by a user will not be wiped out during query refresh or drilldown. Of course, these user data will not conform drilldown operations. So, it is not 100% solution you want.
Another possibility, very hard to implement (if feasible at all), is to write VB code that will monitor user action and will keep data entered by a user somewhere in another sheet and restore them in proper cells after user action (drilldown). But I don't think such coding worth it.
Best regards,
Eugene

  • INSERTing a blank row in the result set

    Hi friends,
    SELECT * FROM EMPLOYEES ORDER BY DEPARTMENT_ID;
In the result of the above, I need to INSERT a blank row in the result for each DEPARTMENT_ID. i.e., the result should look like the following:
    EMP_ID - NAME - SALARY - DEPARTMENT_ID
    101 - Albert - 10,000 - 10
    102 - Benjamin - 8,000 - 10
    103 - Chitra - 10,500 - 20
    104 - David - 4,500 - 20
    105 - Elango - 6,000 - 20
    106 - Fathima - 6,000 - 30
    107 - Ganga - 9,000 - 30
    etc.
I don't want to insert into the table. Just in display I need a blank row.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How do I add a column to the Result for BT111S_OPPT

    Hi,
I have a requirement to include a header level partner in the Results view of BT111S_OPPT.  It is already possible to search by this partner function but the partner column is not available on the view 'BT111S_OPPT/Result'.  My research has pointed me toward using the "ITERATOR" but a related blog was not available and I must admit that I am rather confused as to how to use the "ITERATOR".  I am assuming that I can use it to GET->CURRENT but then I don't know what to do after that.
Any help is appreciated as we are under time pressure.  Thanks.
    Cheers,
    Paul

    Hi,
iterators are normally used to convert data in lists which are already evaluated.
In your case you better add a new column to the result list node and implement the getter with your own
code. This would look quite similar like (just an example)
    METHOD get_po_number_ship.
      DATA:
            lv_po_number_ship TYPE crmt_po_number_ship,
            lr_current TYPE REF TO if_bol_bo_property_access,
            lr_entity  TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_entity.
      IF iterator IS BOUND.
        lr_current = iterator->get_current( ).
      ELSE.
        lr_current = collection_wrapper->get_current( ).
      ENDIF.
      TRY.
          lr_entity ?= lr_current.
          lr_entity ?= lr_entity->get_related_entity( iv_relation_name = 'BTItemSalesSet' ).
          IF lr_entity IS BOUND.
            lr_entity->get_property_as_value( EXPORTING iv_attr_name = 'PO_NUMBER_SHIP'
                                              IMPORTING ev_result    = lv_po_number_ship ).
          ENDIF.
        CATCH cx_sy_ref_is_initial.
          RETURN.
      ENDTRY.
      value = lv_po_number_ship.
    ENDMETHOD.

    Sir,
i am running a matlab code in mathscript of labview but getting an error
Error -90032 occurred at Error in function centref at line 5 column 8:  The indexes are out of bounds for the variable you specified

please help me in this regard

May I see you have 6 inputs to your Mathscript Node. When you test it in Matlab I suposse that you're using some values for this inputs and everything work as expected. Then, run it in Labview using highlight execution, retaining wire values and using single stepping. Check the values which are being inserted to your Mathscript Node and ensure that they are correct. You're having an "indexes out of bounds" mistake, so it probably means that there is something  wrong with the inputs according to your expectations. You can also put the MathScript alone in another VI and insert the inputs you're expecting manually and check in the same way.
    Good luck!

To enable the form to be signed in Reader you will need to open the form in Acrobat; goto Advanced>Enable Usage Rights and then save this copy of the form for sending out to the users.
The user should then be able to edit and digitally sign the form. They can then email the signed/saved pdf as a browsed for attachment or via the email icon in the toolbar. Note - if you have created an email submit button on the form, then unless they have Acrobat they could only return an xml file.
The other way to do this however is to create a dataset by 'distributing' the form. This time the Email Return button will send back a full version of the form. During the distribution setup you will have the option to email the form directly or to save it and send it later,so you can send to users as and when or even post it to a website or intranet.
When you receive and open the returned form it will ask whether you want to add it to the predetermined dataset (or if you want to categorise the returns into geographical areas for example, you could create new additional datasets at this point). If the form is data heavy however, the dataset will become very large and unwieldy pretty quickly, but you can export the data from it (including signatures) in xml format and import this into an Excel spreadsheet.
To simplify the Excel xml import process I'd recommend you carefully structure your form in the hierarchy (LiveCycle) into the order you would want the data items to appear in your spreadsheet and switch off those data items that you will not need by setting the default binding for the irrelevant fields to "None".
Clear as mud? Hope this helps.

  • Input values in the result area

    Hi Bw gurus,
Could you plz tell me to eliminate the Input values displayed between the Navigation block and the Result area.
I mean if we give some input range in the variable screen the range(Input)values are displayed in the Result area. Also if we give some 1000 multiple single values in the variable selection screen after executing it displyed
1000 input values in the result.
I need to elimeinate this.so how can i do this.
    the requirement is very urgent.
    Regards,
    Rambo.

    Hi Rambo,
Open query in BEx Analyzer, it'll be embedded into a workbook.
Use Layout/Dasplay text elements icon or menu path.
There you'll see the option to show variables. Don't use it and variable's values shouldn't show up!
    And don't use show all.
    Best regards,
    Eugene

  • Internal table for the result area

    hey
where do the result area data stored in after the search? is it in internal table??. If so is there any possibility of finding the internal table?
    thanks in advance

    Hi Shailaja,
You can check as pointed by Vijay, which is at the Framework Level.
For Application Level (specific to your PCUI Appl), the QEURY method of your class (assigned to Search Area screen) returns the list of found object keys (based on the search query) to the READ method. The READ method now queries the backend, for the supplied object keys and stores all the result data in export parameter ET_SCREEN_SRTUCTURE.
Now the Framework with the help of One Order Interaction Layer, pumps the data to the Data Context Layer as pointed by Vijay.
So in order to do any data massaging, you can do it at internal table et_screen_structure.
But whatever changes you do in et_screen_structure, will not be commited to backend, without touching the MODIFY method.
    Thanks
    Harsh

  • Windows Desktop Search 4.0 How do I Format the Date Column in the Results?

Is there a way to modify the date column in the Results pane of Windows Desktop Search 4.0?
It's running on a Windows 2003 Enterprise server.
I have users that need to modify files that arrived today and yesterday after 5:00 PM.  The date column only displays the time on files with today's date.  Is there some registry setting I can tweak to get this column to always show Date and Time?

  • While drilling up/down the report, the results are displayed after delay

We have a WebI Report whose hierarchy is based on the time Year -> Quarter -> Month -> Day -> Hour -> 30 mins.
While drilling up/down the report, the results are displayed after much delay and most of the time, all / some of the values are displayed as "#REFRESH" or '##########'. However, if i refresh it, all the values are displayed.
What could be the cause for this issue? and how to troubleshoot it?
    Thanks In Advance!!!

    hi,
This error appears in cells due to smart measures when the value returned by the smart measure is not available. This occurs when the grouping set containing the value is not available with the data provider.
Remove the  error by refreshing the data.

  • Can the SQL command be echoed in the Results area?

It would be vary helpful to have the SQL command to be displayed in the Results area before the actual results are displayed.
If this can be done, how?
    Jim

    Hi Jim,
In the worksheet, try set echo on. Apparently it has worked since some fairly early SQL Developer versions:
    SET ECHO ON?

  • Insert a blank line at the start of a text file

I'd like to insert a blank line at the start of a text file.
I presume SED would be the best to use? Any help on code would be greatly appreciated?

    Hi David,
That is a little more difficult in sed and awk than it seems like it should be. I'll assume that you know how to handle the redirection and I'll just post the actual sed and awk commands. If you're comfortable with multiline statements in sed it could be done with the following:
    sed '1s/./\
Programmatically more complicated but easier to type would be:
    sed '1{x;p;g;}'
I think that it's conceptually simpler in awk using the BEGIN address like so:
    awk 'BEGIN{ print }//'
You'll probably get other responses using other tools. I'm certainly curious to see what develops.

  • Passing a query-limit-value to a Computed-Column on the Results Page

    Hello All,
Is it possible to use a user-selected variable-limit (filter), and pass it to an IF statement in a Computed-Column in a Results Screen.
    Example:
I have a Computed Column in a Results screen which uses the following logic:
    if ( Accounting_Period == "2" && Ledger == "ACTUALS" ) {Year_to_Date_Actuals} else (0)
    Instead of [Accounting_Period == "2"], I would like to set Accounting_Period == <variable_query_limit>
    How would one do this?
    Thanks!
    smg

if not using a dashboard you may want to look at the OnPostProcess event and put script there to collect the selected value of the limit and modify the computed column of the results section.
    strongly recommend you review documentation

  • I am using the database connectivity toolkit to retrieve data using a SQL query. The database has 1 million records, I am retrieving 4000 records from the database and the results are taking too long to get, is there any way of speeding it up?

I am using the "fetch all" vi to do this, but it is retrieving one record at a time, (if you examine the block diagram) How can i retrieve all records in a faster more efficient manner?

If this isn't faster than your previous method, then I think you found the wrong example. If you have the Database Connectivity Toolkit installed, then go to the LabVIEW Help menu and select "Find Examples". It defaults to searching for tasks, so open the "Communicating with External Applications" and "Databases" and open the Read All Data. The List Column names just gives the correct header to the resulting table and is a fast operation. That's not what you are supposed to be looking at ... it's the DBTools Select All Data subVI that is the important one. If you open it and look at its diagram, you'll see that it uses a completely different set of ADO methods and properties to retrieve all the data.

  • Hide "Your Reference" column in the results displayed at genericsearch.jsp

    Hi Experts,
I am new to ISA 5.0 & have a requirement which I need to develop:
Select u201COrder existing Quotation" on welcome.jsp. Then in the result table shown. I need to hide the column u201CYour Reference.u201D
My problem is that I am not able to understand how this table is shown & where is the code for displaying the resultdata. On the /appbase/genericsearch.jsp I can not find any html code which is used to display the u201CYour Reference.u201D column & values for each row.
    Please help.

In ISA, all the strings are externalized. "Your reference" too is externalized and comes from the resource bundle. To know the parameter name, use the URL parameter - translate.show.key.concat=99 to see the key name of the parametrized string of the table header.
    http://<host>:<port>/b2b/init.do?<url-parameter-key=value>&<url-parameter-key=value>
The language keys are normally located in \WEB-INF\classes folder in language-dependent resource files.
