Internal table for the result area

hey
where do the result area data stored in after the search? is it in internal table??. If so is there any possibility of finding the internal table?

You can check as pointed by Vijay, which is at the Framework Level.
For Application Level (specific to your PCUI Appl), the QEURY method of your class (assigned to Search Area screen) returns the list of found object keys (based on the search query) to the READ method. The READ method now queries the backend, for the supplied object keys and stores all the result data in export parameter ET_SCREEN_SRTUCTURE.
Now the Framework with the help of One Order Interaction Layer, pumps the data to the Data Context Layer as pointed by Vijay.
So in order to do any data massaging, you can do it at internal table et_screen_structure.
But whatever changes you do in et_screen_structure, will not be commited to backend, without touching the MODIFY method.

Checkbox as one of the field in the internal table in the list

Hi,
I have a requirement of processing the certain records of the internal table for which checkboxes are selected in the list.
The selected records need to be updated in the custom table and the unselected records need to be ignored.
I have created the PF status and the application tool bar and a button on the tool bar.
Then when the report is executed the list is displayed with the records with one of the field as a checkbox.
At user-command.
Then in the at user-command handling the button click event.
I want to know which records are been selected and which are not.
If some one knows please let me know.

This method will give you all the records which are selected in the list output. Collect them and modify your custom table.

Table for the recorded result.Result automatically calculated using formula

Hi experts,
I want to know where this results will be saved(table name) when we use formula in inspection plan.I have marked char.calc in control indicator and formula has been entered in inspection plan.While entering the result when i click on calc button it is displaying correct result and i have saved.when i check the table QAMR,QASR it is not displaying the result for the MIC which i have used formula.I am able to see the formula in QAMV table.When i want to display this result can i retrive the result directly from any of the table or shall i calculate the formula in the program to display? If i should calculate the formula how to calculate?

If u are using Inspection point for the results recording then results will get stored in QASR table. The manually entered results alone will get stored in the Original_ Input field. Calculated parameters will get stored in the mittelwert field (mean value). Kindly check QASE table for lot without inspection points.
For ex : Results Field name mean value (1.7500000000E+02)

Number of entries in the internal table for perticular field value

hi All,
Is this possible to get the count of records from the internal table for a perticular field value.
currently my requirement is to get the entries from the internal table which does not have two records for perticular field value (say a = 123) whose status is active (say b = 'X').
also suggets should use LOOP or DELETE or DESCRIBE for a internal table to ful fill this requirement.

Try like this..
Create another table itab2 with same structure as itab1 & move the contents of itab1 to itab2
ITAB2[] = ITAB1[].
Then delete entries from itab2
Delete itab2 whete a = '123' and b = 'X'
Then use Describe statement to get the no of entries
Describe table itab2 lines v_lines.

When the user submits this input page, the input is submitted to the server side component which does its processing (which is a time consuming process)....till the results are available i need to show a message that the query is being processed and once the results are available i have to show the results. To count number of records in an internal table for a condition

Hello All,
I want to count number of records in an internal table for a condition.
For e.g. -- I have one internal table IT which having fields F1, F2, F3, F4, F5.
Now, I want number of records in itnternal table IT where F1 = 'ABC'.
Is it possible to do..?? If yes, then how.??

Hi,
If you mean an internal table, there are a few ways to do this.
1 One would be to loop over the table with a WHERE clause and increment a counter.
data: lv_counter type i.
clear lv_counter.
loop at itab where fld1 = 'ABC'.
lv_counter = lv_counter + 1.
endloop.
lv_counter now has the number of rows per the condiction.
2 Well, you may want to try this as well, and compare to the LOOP way. Not sure what kind of overhead you may get doing this way. Here ITAB is our main internal table, and ITAB_TMP is a copy of it. Again I think there may be some overhead in doing the copy. Next, delete out all records which are the reverse of your condition. Then whatever is left is the rows that you want to count. Then simply do a LINES operator on the internal table, passing the number of lines to LV_COUNT.
data: itab type table of ttab.
data: itab_tmp type table of ttab.
itab_tmp[] = itab[].
delete table itab_tmp where fld1 'ABC'.
lv_count = lines( itab_tmp ).

NQSError: 15001 Could not load navigation space for the subject area

Hi gems,
I am creating repository with some subject areas from one of the Old repository which has no errors. New repository is giving error as
nQSError: 15001 Could not load navigation space for the subject area
nQSError: 15004 Internal Error: Missing Functional dependency association for the column
But actual for particular column n OLD Repository it is not giving any error
Can anyone help me why this is giving this error.

Hi Manu,
Please check if all the columns in the copied subject areas are having links to BMM layer and physical layer columns. If the pulled tables does not have proper joins with other BMM tables, it also will cause load naviagtion error.
While copying the subject area from another RPD you must have missed some objects or joins. Please verify.

Edit Internal Table for Sales Order Smartform (Y640_SDORC_A)

I want to modify SmartForm Y640_SDORC_A so I always print the net value and discount percentage.
I have an access sequence and my discount can be created by a discount percentage condition (ZD00) or by Special Price (PR01) condition.
My problem is that if I use the Special Price Condition the Internal Table where the smartform loops to get the price only gets the Net Value amount, and it wont print the discount percentage, but if I dont use the Special Price condition the internal value has 2 rows the first one is for Discount Condition and the second for Net Value and it prints correctly.
This is how my access secuence is arranged, the X are the print id column:

PR01 Special Price
--- Net Value    (X)
How can I fix the internal table creation so when there is a Special Price Condition (PR01) the internal table also gets the Discount percentage value.

How to find workarea ID for the work area name.(Work area name CCIHT_WAH-WAID and I want to fetch characteristic data from table AUSP matching the OBJEK field,but I only have Work area name).Can anybody help me to find tables or relationship between Workarea ID and Workarea name for the same.I am using TCODE - CHIB02.Once I select a workarea and click on IHS Data button,I get data for that workarea.I need to find where this data comes from and How is this fetched.

U want to fetch the workarea description ?
we can fetch it from CCIHT_WALD table with the RECN value.
The informations are stored in AUSP table with the characterstic(ATINN) value.

How do I select a range of rows from an internal table in the debugger?

Hi,
I have a case where I wanted to delete a range of rows (several thousand) from an internal table using the debugger.
It seems that rows can only be selected one at a time by selecting (clicking) on the far left side of the row.
This is cumbersome, if not impossible when wishing to delete several thousand rows.
Other tools, such as Excel for example, allow for selecting a range of rows by selecting the first row and then holding the SHIFT key and selecting the last row and all rows in between will be selected.
I can't seem to find the combination of keys that will allow this in the table (or structure) tab of the debugger.
Is it possible to select a range of rows without having to select each row one at a time?

While it's a Table Control and should/could have a button to select all fields (or visible fields)...I don't think we can do it right now...I know it's a pain to select each row one at a time...but I don't we have any more options...
