Inserting a picture onto a drawing panel

Question

Hello!
I hope someone can help, basically I have a drawing panel which shows shapes. Instead of just a shape I would like to know if there is a way it can show a picture instead....

Here is the code i have so far:

    }I would like to substitute the shape drawn with a jlabel (at the same coordinates). I would not want the jlabel to appear until i had pressed the 'start' button....
