Inserting cell inside JTable cell

Hi!
i want to insert another cell inside a JTable cell, so that they are both displayed.
Is it possible to do that.

I was thinking about something like the below. I have not tested it, so let me know if it works.
public class TwoCellTableCellRenderer extends DefaultTableCellRenderer {
     public Component getTableCellRendererComponent(JTable table,
            Object value,
            boolean isSelected,
            boolean hasFocus,
            int row,
            int column) {
          JPanel panel = new JPanel();
          panel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(this, BoxLayout.X_AXIS));
          panel.add(new JTextField(), null);
          panel.add(new JTextField(), null);
          return panel;
     protected void setValue(Object value) {
          // DO SOMETHING HERE TO PARSE YOUR TWO VALUES
public class YourTwoCellDataClass {
yourTable.setDefaultRenderer (YourTwoCellDataClass.class,
     new TwoCellTableCellRenderer());

  • Combobox Autocomplete editor inside Jtable cell

    I have a custom combobox editor which supports the autocomplete feature as follows:
    as soon as the user keys in any character, this editor searches for the item that starts with keyed in character. This item is displayed in the editor text field and the combobox popup is set to visible and the this item is set to selected.
    this editor works fine when standalone. but the popup fails to become visible when this combobox is used as an celleditor inside jtable. infact the focus is lost from the entire table.
    can anyone suggest the possible reason (and solution if possible).

    You need to create a custom CellEditor which will prevent these problems from occurring. The explanation behind the problem and source code for the new editor can be found at Thomas Bierhance's site http://www.orbital-computer.de/JComboBox/. The description of the problem and the workaround are at the bottom of the page.

  • How to inserted cells and keep formatting, copy formulas.

    Hi- I used to use Excel in the late 90's and am using Appleworks 6.2.9. Here are my problems that I cannot solve:
    I have an invoice with borders and SUM formulas. How do I insert new cells while maintaining both?
    With Excel I could click on a cell with a SUM formula, then drag down a few rows and release, which would copy the formulas into those cells. I cannot find a way to do this simply.
    Any light you can shed would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to save money on programs and use what I have.
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.3.9)
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    Great, thanks, that helped w/ the autofill.
    I still need advice on inserting cells that have the same borders and would be entered into the total columns in my invoice. The idea would be to be able to add rows, drop the data down, and not have to reformat any of the SUM cells or borders.
    Thanks!

    Nobody will be able to identify the problem without seeing your code. Excel Insert Cells.vi is used to add cells to an existing spreadsheet, not to set the cell value. To do this is a more specific way than the Append Report Text.vi you can use Excel Easy Text.vi or Excel Insert Table.vi. With these vis you can specify the range where you want to insert something.
    For your other question (Two different data types) you can use the Excel Set Cell Format.vi to format a range as a date or something else. You will need to use the Excel format specifiers for this.

  • Excel Insert Cells.vi に発生したエラー

    LabVIEW2011にて、Excelレポートを出力するVIを作成しました。しかし、EXEファイルにビルドする際に、
    「以下のファイルを作成中に発生したエラー:
    C:\PROGRAM FILES\NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS\LabVIEW 2011\vi.lib\addons\_office\excel.llb\Excel Insert Cells.vi」

    Just override getColumnClass method of your model to return ImageIcon.class for the appropriate column, and add the imageicon to the model.

  • JList inside JTable

    Hi,
    I have a custom JList Renderer/Editor inside a JTable. Both the renderer and editor seem to be working fine, but if the List contains more data than will fit in the table cell, you can't see the rest of the data. I have a separate class for the renderer and the editor (both of which extend JList) and I have tried using the setAutoscrolls method and creating a JScrollPane in the constructor, neither of which seems to work. How can I put a scrollable JList as a cell in a JTable?

    Hi jhooie,
    Will you please send me the working codes for creating the JList inside JTable. I am in urgent need of the help.

    need to cut a word in half and insert text inside like this: http://looksgreat.tumblr.com/post/56189410707/tutorial-letra-dividida

    Hi,
    For me, Jongware is right! It's very easy and cool to do it directly in InDesign (with totally editable text). Here's a sample:

  • Need to cut a word in half and insert text inside, in Illustrator or InDesign

    need to cut a word in half and insert text inside, in Illustrator or InDesign, like this: http://looksgreat.tumblr.com/post/56189410707/tutorial-letra-dividida

    That's fine. Everybody has their own preferences. I find it odd that you feel the need to criticize mine. Personally, I've been a Prepress Tech for 25 years, the last 15 in a digital environment on Mac Workstations. I work with live fonts and outlined text every day. I've had way more headaches with font substitution and reflow than I've ever had with vector art. Most of the time, I leave live text as live text. But if I'm designing a Logo or art that is intended to be placed in multiple documents and probably scaled, I'm going to convert it to paths. Much less chance of the RIP screwing it up that way.
    Your answer to OPs question was spot on. So was mine. There is rarely only one right way to create something in Illustrator. If you don't care for my methods, then don't use them. But let me assure you, I don't need any schooling from you. The fact that you seem compelled to engage me on this may say something about your personality. Micro-manage much?

    Hi
    You will have to insert this in code view.
    If it is inside a FG div, select 'split' screen mode, click in the required div in design view and this will highlight the selection in code view.
