Inspection setup in view quality management update in material master

Hi all,
We are using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA for our material master updation.
Here one  of the change in the program is to update the inspection setup in the view quality management.
Can anybody tell in which stucture of the bapi BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA  i can pass the values of the inspection set up fields. If not is there any other bapi through which can be done?
Thanks in advance.
regards
Nazmul

Hi,
To deactivate the Inspection Types for materials, you can use transaction QA08.
Here use tab "Deactivate insp. type" and specify the inspection type which you want to dactivate.

  • Removal of batch management indicator from material master

I had removed all batch stock from material code but when trying to remove batch management indicator from material master system is giving the message "batches already exist"
    Please suggest the solution.

    Hi,
The material is NEW and Batch Managed.  No stocks, orders, batches are existing.
If the Batch Management indicator is removed in Material Master, is there any way *to see/track the batch/lot * of the product.
Scenarios: Material is NOT Batch Managed
    1.     How to track a batch received for Purchase order.
    2.     How to track a Batch created in a Production order.

    Hi,
use proper BADI for your customised requirement -
    for selecting proper BADI -
    1.select T-code in command line  SE18
2.go for F4 help, now on search screen PRESS the SAP Applications Button
3.Now u can go to related module node then related field there you will get related BADI's .
for example for purchasing go for -. MM-PUR inside MM
you can also use se18 for new technique of using enhancements framework.
please take help of code experts for the same.i will prefer BADI over exits becuse BADI will reflect in all the coming version of SAP also.
let me know if you need futher help for the same.

    Issue Resolved

  • Material without inspection setup goes to quality inspection

    Hello Gurus
We have material without inspection setup, but the system say the stock type is Quality Inspection.
Then we get problems in the goods receipt. We checked the PO has stock type quality inspection, how can we solve this situation?, please give advice.
    Best Regards
       Jimmy

    Hello,
No changes like you mentioned, the problem is if you create a PO with some materials the system says the stock type is Quality inspection , then at GR we are dealing with problems, but the material do not have flag for inspection and also the PO has the stock type Quality inspection, so if you create a new PO it will go to Quality inspection...

  • Updation of Material Master Views

    Dear All,
I am facing a design problem in creation of Material Master.
A certain user group creates X,Y,Z views in MM01 , MM02 but the other views data which would be of relevance to other users needs to be updated based on certain conditions like Material Type etc.
Eg : PLM user making Basic Data view .
FI views and Sales View to be created automatically for other users.
The issue is this <b>updation of data in other views</b> which is of two categories :
    i) if material type = 'abc'.
          MRP profile = 'fgh'.
ii) if material type = literature.
       then plants = '1111', '2222' , '3333' etc....
    Regarding i):-
This data can being updated in a user exit , eg '<b>MGA00001</b>'  called in MM01.
But it <b>doesnot allow to change any other structure other than WMARA</b> where as we need to update data for WMARC, WMBEW, WMVKE etc.
    Regarding ii) :-
How can I create material on <b>many plants while the material is under creation in MM01</b> ?
How can i) and ii) be cracked ?
    Pls give solutions asap .
Rewards are sure for helpful answers!!

    Shweta

To know the authorization objects of material master screen, check the following link on my blog
    http://aroopsnotepad.wordpress.com/2010/09/09/material-master-authorization/
To find all authorization objects for a transaction, you can try SU22.

  • Moving avergae price updation in material master for project stock

    Dear All,
My query is pertaining to updation of MAP( moving average price) for project specific procurement ( as project stock) for valuated project stock.
As  definelty the cost of procurement gets consumed by project .but i want to know does the project stock procurement still updates the moving avergae price or not.
Ex:-Suppose MAP in material master is 10 USD ( with qty 1)and i procure the same material ( qty 1)for project with account assignment Q for 9 USD . now will the MAP in material master becomes 9.5 USD or it remains 10 usd.?
    Please reply urgently
    Regards
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
If your Project Stock is valuated, then, the valuation data for it is stored in a different table: QBEW.
The normal, anonymus warehouse stock (the unrestricted use stock which is not assigned to any project or to any sales order) has its valuation data stored in MBEW.
The "Accounting 1" view in the Material Master MM03 ONLY displays the data of MBEW.
In the material master you will never see the valuation data of the valuated project stock (table QBEW) or the valuated sales order stock (valuation indicator "M" - table EBEW).
The valuation data for the tables QBEW and EBEW can be seen in SE16 or in the transaction MBBS.
Also note that these valuated special stocks are managed independently of the normal stock. If, for example, you change the Moving Average Price of your normal stock in MBEW, this will not have any influence on your project stock, as the data is under a totally diferent table QBEW.
    I hope this helps you,
    Esther.

  • Batch Management Indicator Required - Material Master

    Hello,
    My requirement -
Batch management field has to be required for material Type "FERT"
    1) I created a new field selection group for the field "batch management" (MARA-XCHPF)
    2) Created a new Field Reference group with "Required" entry (OMS9)
    3) Assigned the New Field Reference to the material Type in OMS2
The batch management Field is now a mandatory field.
Issue is, when we try to create only the basic Data Views of a FERT material, system does not allow to save the material untill the "Batch Management Indicator" is activated (even if we are not referencing to any plant specific views of the material master.)
We need to have the the Batch management indicator a required entry for FERT, but at the same time should be able to create material master with basic data Field only (we would be extending the plant specific views later)
Is there a alternative method to have this setting to meet the requirements above?
    Thanks

    Hi
I think you can check if the batch level is defined on material or client now, if yes, you may check if that can be switched to plant level. As far as I knw the basic data is for client so the field is shown on basic data view and ask to input value as you customized.
Alternatively, I think you can use the user exit MGA00001to check the field instead of the field selection, this is called when the material master get saved, then you can write your own source code to chec if the customer filled the  field only for certain situations.
    Best Regards.
    Leon.

  • How to delete MRP view data after create in Material master data ?

    Hi all ,
After user  create a useless MRP view data in Material master data , how to remove it ?

    Hi
Material master once created cannot be deleted.Only thing u can do is to mark it for deletion
Go to Logistics > Materials management > Material master > Material > Flag for deletion > Immediately.
Give the necessary data that is needed for the view you want to delete.
Press and flag the view you want to delete.
Now the view is flagged for deletion. This means that it's use is limited and it will be cleaned up or really deleted at the next clean up of the system.
    regards

  • Update new material master weight and dimension in open sales orders and de

    Hi,
Iu2019m maintaining gross weight, net weight, volume in material master. When the time of sales order entry in VA01 its calculating weight and dimensions based on material master and order quantity. And I create deliveries in VL01N.
If I made a correction in the net and gross weight in material master after I created the sales order will the correct net and gross weight will pick up at the delivery creation.
In other term is the VL01N net and gross weight is taking from which is available in SO or Material master.
Is there any standard transaction to update already existing open sales order, delivery net and gross weight once it is corrected in material master?
    Please advice.
    Sam

Is there any standard transaction to update
No it is not possible to update the weight in existing sale order or delivery.  You have to change it manually or create a new sale order.   Weight in delivery will be fetched from sale order only and hence,  whatever delivery you create referencing a sale order, system will copy whatever is there.
    thanks

  • Classification view creation via LSMW for Material master

    Hi,
We are planning to have an LSMW for creation of material master along with classification view for configurable materials.
Though we see a flag to indicate classification view  - XEIC1                        Indicator: take Classification view into account
We do not see a structure where in we can pass all the characteristics and the corresponding values.
Is this something possible only with BAPIs such as -> BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE after creation of other view for that material.
    Regards,
    HR

    Hi,
Thanks for the response. This is helpful.
However, we were intending to use a single LSMW for creation of all views of material master including classification view. Right now we are using Program RMDATIND as direct input method in LSMW.
Please let me know if there is a way to use single LSMW for creation of all views of material master.
    Thanks
    HR
