My suggestions may not be what you want. You want 10049 now. I get that.
But, under the circumstances, perhaps you would consider my suggestions a little bit.......
Go back to the previous Win 10 TP > go to Windows Update > Advanced Options > change the setting from Fast to Slow.
Wait for the 10049 to be released in Slow ring > you can then upgrade it. The one released from Slow ring is supposed to be more "refined" than the one released from Fast ring.
Or,
1149 ISO should be released at the same time of the Slow ring> download it > burn it to a bootable media > and use it to do a Clean install.

  • "HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete"

I cannot use HP Solution Center because I only get this message when I start it: "HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete". I am running Windows XP with an HP PhotoSmart Premium. I can print just fine and the printer is recognized by the PC and the network. I get the same problem whether connected wirelessly or through USB. I have re-installed all software multiple times. Please advise on how to get Solution Center up and running.

I had to do a total uninstall and reinstall of the driver. However, as you will see from this and other Support Forum threads there seem to be multiple stumbling blocks to the uninstall/reinstall process. Seems very glitchy. After nearly two days of unsuccessful tries I finally got it done. I did find three different official HP scenarios for the process, including one automatically sent to my desktop by HP upon one of the earlier failures. That sequence did not work work for me, but it was close--I got a partial install. But on another HP help file titled "Product Software Installation stalls or stops in Windows 7 with a USB connected product HP..." I found a six step process (with details for each), and it worked for me on the second try. Here are the six steps, plus extra things I did or discovered that could have helped make it work. I did step 5b. first: downloading and saving  the HP driver file on my computer before starting other steps, since I elected not be be on the internet as I did the installation. 1. Uninstall the HP printer software. See my note below about four ways HP lists do to this. I used two of them.2. Turn off the 'terminate and stay resident programs (has to do with system configuration). See HP details.3. Clear temporary files and folders through Windows accessories.4. Disable firewalls (see my note below about this)5a. Disconned the cable from BOTH the printer itself and from the computer, BUT TURN ON the printer.5b. Get the lastest version driver for you printer from the HP site and save it where you can find it. (I did this first, before other steps, so I could install off-line)5c. Install the driver software that you saved. (see my note below about an optional step that helped me with this, so the install will complete, and not hang up)6. Enable the start up software that was turned off with step 2. (See HP details) Notes: there are versions of HP instructions that  skip steps 2 and 6 and or 3 and 4, but that would not work in my case. I describe the steps that finally worked in case they can help someone else--this has been so frustrating. This uninstall/install process seems to be very touchy and perhaps changes depending on your printer or other configuration of your computer: Note about step 1: I found an HP document that listed four ways to uninstall. On my final and successful attempt I actually used two of the techniques. First I used the HP uninstaller program from the start menu program list on my computer stored with other HP stuff there. When I rebooted it did not appear that any HP programs were removed, but who knows, perhaps this got rid of some hidden file somewhere that had been causing all of the problems. Then I used the regular uninstall process from the control panel, and that worked. All HP programs were gone upon reboot. Note about step 3: I counld not believe this would help, but did it, and again, who knows, perhaps this is critical. Note about step 4: I assumed that step two 'terminate and stay resident programs' turned off my McAfee firewall and antivirus, so I did not turn it off. And I elected to be off the internet during install because I am always fearful about turning off those programs. However, and this may be the source of problems for many people, the HP list was very specific to turn off the Windows 7 firewall. I checked it and it was running, even though I thought McAfee was in charge. So I did turn off the Windows 7 firewall. Subsequently I learned that many people who have upgraded from earlier Windows operating systems to Windows 7 have the Windows firewall operating along with their other firewall, without knowing it. Apparently this does not happen if you did a clean install of Windows 7 rather than an upgrade install. Note about step 5c: On many of my tries the installation program would not terminate or complete, and I would get a partial install that allow some functions of the printer to work, but not Solutions Center. The only way I found to prevent this was at the step near the end, where you hook up the printer, select the box that says it's okay to connect it later. The installer program dumps an icon on you desktop that allows you to connect the printer after the installation shows complete and terminates by itself. By clicking the icon and plugging the cable into computer and the powered-on-printer when directed, the device installs perfectly. That was the only way I could get a full install, or get the installation to terminate. During the two days of trying to make this work I also reinstalled the latest version of Flash player since I read that HP Solutions Center needs it to show screens on your computer about printer functions. Of course downloading Flash onto a 64-bit version of Windows 7 is a little tricky too, but not that difficult. I do not know whether that was important, but it is one more thing to try if you can't make your Solutions Center part of the printer program work. I learned way more about the unintall/install process than I ever wanted to know. Sorry to be so wordy, but after two days of frustrating work on this I thought I should share this, in case any of these ideas could help someone else who is hung up on this. Perhaps there is an easier fix somewhere. The six-step process was on an HP help site and was not even for my specific printer, but the similar list from my model did not work. Wish I knew what the secret to success might have been.

    hi erin27,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
The error that you're getting is for the anti-theft software by Absolute Software. If you don't plan to use the software for the meantime, try to
    1. Uninstall the software by pressing the Windows Key+R > then type appwiz.cpl.
    2. If the PC still freezes up, reboot into Safe Mode. If the PC is ok, perform a clean boot and observe the PC.
To re-install Absolute Software's Computrace Lojack for laptops, check this link.
    Hope this helps

  • HP Printer Software Installation will not complete

I have an HP Officejet 8500 wireless bought in late 2011.  Never an issue until a recent new printer added to the computer seems to have changed an unknown setting and now printer or computer will not recognize or initiate a wireless print request.  Have tried all firmware updates, software updates, etc.  Printer is perfectly connected to wireless network established by router.  Any wireless print request from my MacBook is met with a "printer offline" description and sits in printer que.  Printer works(ed) fine when connected via USB to MacBook.
Thought to uninstall/reinstall printer software hoping to reachieve initial set up defaults which have been working well prior to addition of new printer to computer.
Uninstalled HP software; result was normal.  Inserted original software CD and tried to re-install software; result was as expected until step 5.  Comments now read Installing HP Scan, Install was successful.  Software has stalled on "5 items remaining" and will not move on to "4 items remaining" as next step.
HP Uninstaller is not yet in HP application file, Attempting to "quit" HP Installer generates a warning window indicating "files could be damaged" which is same window generated when trying to shut down computer using Apple shutdown command. Shutdown ends up being cancelled by HP Installer.
Computer is stuck and I'm stuck and I still don't know if reinstall would have solved original problem.  Hours into troubleshooting... any help available would be appreciated.  MacBook running OS X 10.6.8 all updates complete.  Thanks

Thanks Bob - yes - setup from printer display to wireless network was done originally when printer was new and again today in attempt to reestablish whatever setting might have been accidentally changed.  Printer is "perfectly" connected to wireless network with Excellent signal quality, etc... As is Macbook perfectly connected to wireless network.
Problem now is that when trying to reinstall original HP printer software to computer the installation process has frozen.  I now cannot end the installation process or shut down the computer without potential fear of "damaging files".  I also am concerned that if I power off manually (hard shutdown) that I will not be able to uninstall those HP files that have been installed thus far before the process stalled.

  • Flash Player installation does not complete

Help! I am at my wits' end! Windows 9, 32-bit. I have uninstalled older versions of Flash Player and appear to be downloading it but after several hours' waiting, am still on 'Step 2' of the download. Task Manager suggests install_flashplayer is a process but never completes. Have followed instructions on Adobe website, security to Medium, ActiveX Filtering off etc. Any ideas gratefully received.

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking the following link and selecting "Save target as".
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Save the file to your downloads folder or desktop, wherever you can find it - DO NOT run it yet.
Reboot your system - a hard reboot - shut it down, waith 30 seconds and then restart it.
BEFORE opening anything else, locate the downloaded installer and run it.

  • Wily Instroscope - OS Independent installation does not complete.

I have been trying to install the wily introscope with the OS independent software and the install is not finishing. I see no errors, and I recieve no log file to show me if any part of the install was successful. The version 8 guide from Nov. 2008 states, that I should have an install directory containing a introscope log that shows me how many lines were Successful, Warnings, NonFatalErrors, and FatalErrors, but this is never created.
I am running the install in /usr/sap/ccms/<sid_00>/wilyintroscope.
I am installing this on a Solaris 5.10 SPARC x64bit system and I am running this in unix.
I have copied the eula.txt, osgiPackages.v1.unix.tar, SAPISEM80_03-10007429.SAR, and SAPISMM80_03-10007429.SAR to this install location.
I edited the eula.txt file to =accept, and I edited the install.properties file to contain the unix install path of /usr/sap/ccms/<sid_00>/wilyintroscope/.
I had our unix team install a x64bit java version so I would have a java 5 VM as the install guide requires.
This is the install command I kicked off as <sid>adm.
    /usr/jdk/jdk1.5.0_16 -classpath introscope8.0.2.0otherUnixSAP.jar u2013install
It begins, but the installation will never finish. I had our unix support run a trace on the background proress and we see reads occuring, but after 2 hours it still isn't complete. I've even tried excuting the same steps with the x32 bit installation .bin file and I receive the same results.
Do I need to edit the <sid>adm environment and point the wily home to my installation directory I created? In the Version 8 guide this is a later step, but at this point I am not sure what to do.
    Thoughts?

Turns out the unix tar was corrupt. The clients virus scanner stripped out most of the file!

  • SCCM Client push or manual installation does not complete

    Hi All,
I have deployed SCCM 2012 R2 in my lab environment. It has been deployed successfully. I have a issue in which the clients are not getting installed both manually and by pushing the agents via the console.
    My servers are as follows:
SCCMSVR.labtest.com  - Is the SCCM server and Fail back status point.
Server.labtest.com - Is the Domain controller, SQL server
SCCMTEST.labtest.com - A testing machine to push the client and to deploy patches in it.
    Site code is LAB
I ran the setup using the following command.
I have shared the ccmsetup in a share so the command is as follows:
    \\sccmsvr\Client\ccmsetup.exe /MP:SCCMSVR /Logon SMSSITECODE=LAB FSP=SCCMSVR
But when i check the task manager the process of ccmsetup.exe but it does not change to CCMEXEC.exe
I waited for an hour but still the same issue. (This was done in the DC Server.labtest.com)

Also checked the control panel. Dint find the config manager options there on both machines.
Also turned off firewall on all 3 machines  but still the same issue.

Problems with Apple Software Update produce a similar but not identical error message. I might be worth trying the method for ASU problems.
Go to Add remove programs and find Apple Software update. Try repairing it.
    Select Change>>repair.
If that works, try installing iTunes.
Otherwise try uninstalling any instance you find of Apple Software update. That probably will not work if repair didn't.
    Next try an installer cleanup.
Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/
To run the program – All Programs>>Windows Install Cleanup
Remove any instance you find of Apple software update with the cleanup utility.
Download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer and save it on your desktop.
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Restart your computer and try installing iTunes.

  • Mac OS Mavericks installation does not complete.

    Hi All,
Does anyone have a solution for this install problem?
When attempting to upgrade to Mac OS Mavericks from Montain Lion 10.8.5, the installation dialogue comes up, no errors are shown, then asks to restart the computer to complete the installation.
The computer restats, log back in, and nothing happens.
No installation dialogues, no error messages, it's just back to good ol' 10.8.5 like nothing happened.
I've retried this 3 times, by opening the Mac OS Mavericks Install App to restart the installation, but this bad boy refuses to install.
FileVault 2 is enabled, which I thought might be interfering with the install, but doing some googling around, it looks like Mavericks should install fine with FileVault active.
In case it helps this is an early 2013 MacBook Pro 15" Retina notebook.
    Any ideas?

Hi thanks for the quick reply.
Yep may have to end up disabling FileVault, it's a last resort as it will decrypt the whole disk.
Rebooted to the disk utility with disk verify and repair, no problems there. but at least the disk is fine

    Hey Folks,
I've been trying to install Creative Cloud, but the install stops mid way through installing the Adobe Application Manager. The Adobe Application Manager folder appears in the Utilities Folder, but has nothing in it. I then get this message.
I've tried Uninstalling Adobe Creative Cloud, but even the Uninstaller hangs in the end and the window wont disappear.
I've used the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool and then tried reinstalling after restart.
I've tried installing the stand alone version of the Adobe Application Manager with the same results. i.e. the the installer stops short.
I also tried starting a new admin account on my computer and tried installing CC with the same results.
As per advice from another post I tried changing the Library\Application Support\Adobe\OOBE folder name.
I've also tried an exorcism, pouring boiling water into my lap and waving chicken feet over my computer, but no dice!!!
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm on Mac 10.8.2.
