Installation problems for new account.

Hi, 
Im making this post so that i can link it for a moderator for use as guidance to my current installation woes. If anyone wishes to add anything please feel free but remember that this post is for the "mods"

I placed my order on the 9th of April 2012 for unlimited evening and weekend calls and BT Infinity option 2.
I received all of the relevent emails confirming my order and the dates for installation were given as:
Phone line engineer: 19 April 2012 between 8am and 1pm
Phone line starts 19 April
Broadband engineer: 19 April between 81m and 1pm
Broadband starts 19 April
On the 18th April i get a text message saying that the Infinity engineer is delayed to the 25th April between 8am and 1pm.
19th of April the phone engineer comes and re-does all the wiring inside the property as needed and realised that the wire from the street pole is missing. He gets that all sorted and then proceeds to the exchange. Returns saying he cannot complete the phone line as a "cable" is missing and leaves.
On the 25th of April the broadband engineer comes and sets up the infinity. He notifys me that only one of the two cables required from the exchange is available but gets Infinity working at 40mb down and 6mb up. He tells me to contact BT by phone (laugh what phone?) to re-book the phone line engineer appointment.
I contact BT on the phone and get through to the Indian call center. He places me on hold while he contacts BT open reach and notifies me that he has "raised" the problem and that an engineer is booked for the 3rd of May.
The next day (26th April) i re-call BT to confirm the appoinment. Just as well i did as the pleasant UK lady told me that no appointment is on the system?! She contacts BT open reach again and tells me that someone should contact me within 24 hours and if i do not hear anything to call back (she gave me a direct number)
Today the 27th of April I receive no phone call back, so once again i call back on the number provided. This time back to the Indian call center (sigh). Once again the guy places me on hold while he speaks to open reach. He proceeds to tell me that the next available slot for the phone line engineer is the 10th of MAY!
My new order summary when checked online is now!:
Broadband installed 25th April
Broadband activated 10th May
Phone line 10th of May
AND Order placed on:Fri 27 Apr 2012!!! huh?
What i want to know is: Can BT actually provide me with this phone line and number any time soon as i can once again see the phone line engineer coming to the property and unable to do anything (like the first) as it is a larger job than expected on the day of install.
I was on Virgin media for TV,Phone,BB and those services are due to expire on the 11th of May. I wanted to place an order with Sky for my TV but i needed the phone line to do this. When i placed my original order for the BT services I allowed ample time (over 3 weeks) between the swap over (19th of april to 11th of may) to place that order to sky. Now i am left with the prospect of having no TV come 11th of May (cant order Sky as no phone line) or phone line since the 19th of April!
Currently (touch wood) the Infinity is working upto 40mb. I am supposed to be on the upto 79mb speed but cant place the upgrade as you guessed it i dont have a phone number!
I just want the services installed as promised and for BT to KEEP their promises when it comes to appointments. So far i am not impressed. If this cannot be resolved soon i will have no option but to call Virgin back and get my old services resumed (which i do not want to do tbh)
As it stands an Engineer is booked for the 10th of May, but i am unhappy with this as i feel this order has been delayed to many times and perhaps this could be "raised"
If a "mod" can get in touch with me regarding this i would be very grateful.

11th of May between 8am and 1pm!
Your activation date Thu 10th May
Your appointment Fri 11 May
Makes no sense whatsoever.
 Come on BT, what the hell are you playing at.

  • Installation problem for Java EE 5 SDK Update 2

    Hi ,
    I have jdk1.5.0_12 (J2SE) installed on my Windows XP. Now i am trying to install J2EE on my machine.I tried to install it twice but it comes to a halt after completing 45% at the same jar file. Following is the link which shows it comes to a halt.

    Also I wanted to know if I uninstall the J2SE and then install only J2EE will that be fine.Because I believe J2EE is a superset of J2SE ?

  • Authorize track for new account

    iTUnes asks me to authorize some of the tracks on my machine before I am allowed to play them. So it asks me for password for my OLD iTUnes account that does not exist any more. So I fill inn user name and password for my NEW and active account. Then iTunes says "This machine is already authorized", but when I then try to play the track the first demand for Authorization comes back (with the non existing account). I fill inn my new account, only for a new round in the carousel....HELP!

  • Cost Center Errors for new Account Assignment "P"

    Hi Friends ,
                       We are implement PS for our client , and we are facing some issues with Cost Centers when trying to creating a PO with reference to a PR with the new account assignement "P" -Project .
    Currently our client is using "K" as account assignment  for the doc type which we are using above . The error we get is "Please use cost center 400100 not cost centeru201D. And we get this error randomly , and doesn't seem to occur for all the plants .
    Has anyone come across some thing like this ?
    Please let me know if you need any additional details .

    I feel that your message type ZX000 is custom message.  you have to take inputs from your ABAP that in which situation this type of error comes perticularly debuggin scenario.

  • Oops! Something went wrong! - Re-occuring Problem for multiple accounts

    Good morning.
    My company switched all of our computers to Windows 7 and updated our software to Microsoft Office 365 about six months ago.  Since then, it has been all but impossible to do our jobs properly.  And Tech support is unable to help us.  All
    of their "fixes" were temporary at best and now the problem seems to be spreading.
    In the process of doing our jobs, we have to send anywhere from 5 to 50 E-mails in sequence.  Since all of the E-mails are basically the same thing, just with a different PDF attachment and a slight change to the subject line, we have been duplicating
    them.  Using the subject line, we use "Control F" to duplicate the E-mails. Two of us attach files after duplicating the necessary number of E-mails and two of us attach them as we duplicate.  After setting up all the E-mails we need, we
    send them in order.
    When we had the older version of outlook, this was not a problem.  With Outlook 365, two of us (Including myself) have constantly received an "Oops!  Something went wrong." error message whenever we try to send the duplicated messages. 
    And as of today, three of us now face this problem.  This is outrageous.  This is a program designed to send E-mails and I do not understand why it cannot send E-mails?!
    Tech support has attempted to fix the problem by creating a new profile for us.  This solution lasted anywhere from 3 hours to 3 days before the problem returned and at this point, I have 5 profiles on my account that I switch back and forth between. 
    They even replaced the entire computer once, it took all of two hours for the problem to come back.
    In the beginning, I was the only one with the problem.  In order to perform a test for someone in another Microsoft forum, I loaded one of the other girls profiles onto my computer.  While I did not keep her profile on my computer long enough to
    recreate the problem, it developed on her own computer shortly after.
    Another co-worker came back after a week of being sick to find that the problem has just started on her computer also.  She specifically has been designated to send all of these E-mails since until now, she was the one who could.  In addition,
    when she attempts to duplicate an E-mail, the image in the body of the E-mail changes color and three of the pictures disappear.  This happens to another co-worker, but not to me.
    We're on an exchange server if that matters at all.  And we use a SharePoint server for storing some files in case that matters too.  We really need help.  We already had to make the company drop $50 per person for the sole
    purpose of allowing us to print paper files in order.  Not that I actually believe there's some sort of magic software that can duplicate E-mails and successfully send them.  But we need something that actually works.
    I am extremely disappointed with Microsoft Office 365, Outlook 365 especially, it has done nothing but fight us the entire way.  I know a little more about computers than most of the people in my building and I cannot get anything to work the way it's
    supposed to.  The inability of this technology to work properly has slowed our output to 50% of what it was, unacceptable.  Is very frustrating and I don't know how much longer we can keep going like this.  We can't get any proper help.

    I believe the "Oops" error text is specific to only the web email app (OWA), not the desktop client.  Do you get any other error details or error numbers?  Regardless of what app you are currently using, it may be worthwhile
    to try the other method you are NOT using (e.g. try the Outlook desktop client if you get the error in OWA, or use OWA if you get the error in the client) just to see if the behavior differs.

  • Help with installation problems for PE 12; error while installing Shared Technologies. Suggestions?

    Help. I've tried to install PE12 multiple times without success due to shared technology installation failure. The install gets right to the end and then fails when trying to launch and uninstalls. Per the help suggestions, I downloaded the ASA, which identified no problems.
    Very frustrating.
    Any suggestions for someone who is not too tech savvy?

    In Windows what has always worked for me is ending any already running PSE/PRE processes from previous or current versions - look for anything with 'Elements' in the name, and 'dynamiclinkmanager.exe'. Then I run the setup program by right-clicking and selecting 'Run as Administrator'. This runs the setup program with even higher privileges than a user account with Administrator privileges.

  • .Mac Alias  - Small Niggling Problem for New Apple User

    Hi,
    I have very recently purchased my very first Apple computer - and yes, i am one of those life long MS-DOS/Windows users who have been lured by the ease and simplicity of the iPod (which apparently a lot of people are loath to admit, but hey, I'm not proud).
    Anyhow, having got my nice new shiny system out of its box, and up and running, I set-up up a new .MAC account, and then set-up one alias, the thing is my 'alias' mail is not ending up in my .Mac mailbox, but my other mailbox which belongs to my broadband ISP.
    Basically in Apple Mail ( I have OS X Tiger.10.4.3) I have an 'InBox' which shows everything from my two accounts, and separate mailboxes within : One called 'BlueYonder' who is my broadband ISP, and a second mailbox called '.Mac Mail'. IYSWIM?
    Now ALL of the mail sent to my standard .Mac account address ends up in the .Mac mailbox, and the 'collective' InBox, but and here is the puzzle, any mail sent to my .Mac ''alias'' goes into the 'Collective' InBox and my 'BlueYonder' mailbox, but not into my .Mac mailbox!
    I sent an email to the .Mac support team, and they said that it was either an issue with Apple Mailbox, and that I should look in here at the 'Discussions' or I have a Rule set-up.
    Well I don't have a rule set-up except the one that was already set-up when I first bought my system. This is set to just highlight in Blue any mail from any 'Apple' address. No rules are set to move or change locations etc.
    So can anyone,if possible please advise me what is going on with my mailbox and also how I can rectify it if possible please?

  • Installation problem for oracle SOA Suite11gR1

    Hi,
    I am new to oracle fusion middleware product. Now trying to install SOA Suite 11g R1
    Installation of Oracle SOA 11g R1 is five step process where step 1 & 2 are same for most of Fusion Middleware 11g products (WebCenter, Identity Management..)
    1. Install Oracle Database (repository for SOA Suite) and load Oracle SOA suite repository using rcu (Repository Creation Utility).
    2. Install Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.1)
    3. Install Oracle SOA Suite 11g R1 (11.1.1)
    4. Configure SOA Suite (soa & bam) by creating domain - Administration and Managed Server in WebLogic
    5. Start Administration & Managed Server (soa_server1, bam_server1) for SOA 11g R1
    I tried to install one by one. When I run repository creation utility in oracle DB 11g it failed so unable to proceed further. I tried 3 times all failed.
    Any help on installation process will be much appreciated.

    Hi,
    What is the error you are getting in your RCU?
    If it is related to some processes, then you need to adjust your db processes value.
    Login to DB as sysdba. Run this following command.
    SQL > conn sys as sysdba
    SQL >alter system set processes = 2300 scope = spfile;
    SQL > shutdown immediate
    SQL > startup
    Then retry with RCU.

    The following error I have got during installation of Oracle 9i (9.2.0.1.0) downloaded enterprise version for Linux from otn site.
    Red Hat Linux Release 9 (Kernel 2.4.20-8)

    2. Could not Copy
    /home/oracle/Orahome1/ldap/odi/conf/idfsample.map.master
    During linking error given with
    /home/oracle/oraHome1/network/lib/ins_oemagent.mk
    . . .. ... ........ctx/lib/ins_ctx.mk
    ........ .... .......Apache/Apache/ports.ini
    I have ignored all above and proceed...
    at the time database creation I got the following problem
    ORA-27123 : unable to attach to shared memory segment.
    But
    I have entered into /etc/sysctl.conf
    kernel.SHMMAX=1073741824
    Please give me a quick Reply

  • Installation problem for 10.5

    Hi,there:
    I just upgade my ibook g4's hdd to 80g, and found my combo driver is not good enough to read the installation disc(but can load the install procedure). then I make a dmg image from my installation disc, and use the disk utility to restore it, but nothing happened.
    My step is:
    1.use 10.5 installation disc to boot into installation.
    2.use disk utility to partition my new hdd to 3 partition(system,data,osimage)
    3.use "restore" function to choose from my dmg image to "osimage" partition, and it works.
    4.use "restore" function to transfer my original hdd image(only one partition on original hdd) to "system" partition.
    5.after finished, I reboot the machine and eject the disc.
    6.then nothing happened. no boot into my original machine's status or installation.
    Can someone use how to use disk image to start the installation or use original working hdd to clone?(PS, I have no fw hdd only usb external hdd).

    Because when I start to install, the installation procedure will test the disk then said there're something wrong with the disc, and should cancel installation to reboot. but I can use my pc's dvdrom to make dmg image. that's why I think that maybe my combo drive is not good enough.
    I have googled the net for long time, and found that the steps I do is correct and actually didn't work.
    Anyone have good tips to do it successfully?

  • Firefox 12 installer asks for Administrator account

    I am trying to do a fresh install of Firefox 12 on my Windows Ultimate x64. When I try to run the installer, it asks for Administrator rights.
    Regardless of what I choose (use my current account, which is an administrator account OR type in the password for the main Administrator account), the installer does nothing. Just stops, without any errors, etc.
    1. Why does this version of Firefox need to use the main Administrator account? For the previous versions (and for any other browser) a regular administrator account is enough. What exactly is Firefox 12 doing to the system that requires more access rights?
    2. How (in case I decide to go through with this install) can I convince it to actually install?

    Hi,
    I did, if I select run as Administrator or if I tick the "run as administrator" in the properties, then it runs.
    But I still want to know *why* Firefox 12 wants administrator rights to install? No other browser requires that and even Firefox 11 installs ok without administrator rights.

  • Installation problems for Adobe Director 11.5 for Mac OS X Lion

    I've downloaded other Adobe products from this site before, like Photoshop Lightroom, etc. There were no problems concerning installation with that. But when I downloaded the Adobe Director 11.5 for Mac recently, the process of installation stops in the middle of installing it. I thought there was just something wrong with the file I downloaded, so I downloaded it again, and again. But every time I try to install it to my Macbook Pro, it gets stuck at the exact same place. What's wrong with it?
    Also, I tried downloading a Windows based Adobe Director. And it said the trial period is for 90 days. But when I activated it, it only registered as a trial for 30 days. Can you please help me with this? I badly need it for my schoolwork.

    I'm having the same problem - I can't install on my Mac running OSX 10.8.2. I was having trouble with an existing installation of Director 11.5. I was hoping a fresh install may solve the problem, but the installer freezes at about 75% complete.
    Hey Adobe - just put us out of our missery already and either fix Director or officially announce it's been abandoned!

    Ok, since you have 10.6.8, v 8.3 dng converter is the latest supported for that OS.
