Installed Firefox 4 on Mac OS X 10.6.7. (1) How can I delete icons it added to bookmarks toolbar so they'll all fit again? (2) Where is the Organize Bookmarks tool now?

I'm not sure about the 'icons' added to bookmarks toolbars, but you can control your bookmarks using "Show All Bookmarks". That replaced 'Organize Bookmarks'. It will open the bookmark library & you should be able to rearrange, add, delete, etc from here.

How to install Firefox for Mac on an external USB 3.0 drive and run Firefox portable?
I recently acquired a new MacBook Pro 10.9 Mavericks laptop and, I would like to to install Firefox for Mac on a Mac-compatible external USB 3.0 HD, and import my 16MB of legacy bookmarks from a PC-compatible USB 2.0 HD and, run Firefox as a portable application, as I did for years on my 7-year-old EOS'd Dell Inspiron XP laptop.

There are portable versions of Firefox and Thunderbird but Mozilla doesn't offer them directly. You can get them from PA.com. Links are below:

After installing FireFox on Mac by dragging FireFox icon to Applications window you are supposed to hit the control button, click on FireFox within the window and hit eject. I don't have eject as a choice. Is this bad? If so, what do I do?

You need to contact the developer/manufacturer directly to determine if their product is compatible w/Yosemite. It is not listed on their system requirement website:

Last week I've install Mac OS X Mountain Lion and then after the installation finish my IMAC start up in verbose mode. How can I turn off this mode and start my IMAC normally. I've try to key in the code "sudo nvram boot-args=" in terminal also.

Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.

Snow Leopard files were replaced by Mountain Lion files on install. Open Disk Utility and verfiy disk and repair if needed and also repair permissions. Then make sure all of your apps are compatible with Mountain Lion because incompatible apps can cause slow startup. Check all apps at www.roaringapps.com.

You will need to connect your iPad to your computer, and on the Photos tab de-select those folders that you no longer want on the iPad - they can't be deleted directly on the iPad. If you no longer want any synced photos on your iPad then you can select and sync just an empty folder.

if you downloaded driver updates through bootcamp onto flash drive then once windows is installed, open the flash drive in windows. You'll see an application called Setup. Double click on it and it will install all the drivers for wireless and ethernet and usb.
You cant just tell windows to search for driver updates. These EXPERTS aren't telling you this. -

Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown asBackups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Reboot and it should go away.

You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
If you have more than one user account, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. The administrator account is the one that was created automatically when you first set up the computer.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders, sorted by size with the largest at the top. It may take a few minutes for ODS to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal. -
How can I delete updates ready to install?
I regularly download software outside of the Mac App Store. I now have an item "Angry Birds" available as an update in my App Store list. I don't have Angry Birds. I've never played Angry Birds (would you believe). I've never downloaded Angry Birds. I also don't know what I downloaded that's triggered this. Trick is, I can't install this update either as my user name and the user name for the update don't match.
This is quite frustrating. How can I delete this from my update list?
