Installing camera raw 6.7 - "error loading updater workflow"

This is what happens when I try to install camera raw 6.7 in Windows 7. Anyone have this problem and have discovered how to fix it? I have tried shutting the computer down and restarting, tried re-downloading several times, no luck. I was able to install the Adobe DNG converter from the same page on Adobe Labs without difficulty. Any suggestions? My computer guys just threw up their hands and laughed at me...LOL.

Try running the Application Manager update by downloading the update installer from the below website:

Once the update is applied, restart the machine, and then try to launch updater again, see if this works??

I am running Lightroom 6 in conjunction with 64 bit Photoshop CS6. I need to install Camera Raw 9 plus other relevan updates for the Adobe Design and Web Premium CS6 package. Running Adobe Application manager finds the relevant updates but won't download

Running Adobe Application manager finds the relevant updates but won't download / install them. Clicking the update button results in an error message "Application Manager has stopped working". This is a windows system running 64 bit Windows 7

Can anyone help, i have elements 9, and have tried to install the camera raw update, however when i try the install i get a message box saying.... error loading updater workflow..... this is now driving me insane..... i have dowladed the latest downlad manager and have also tried some older updates but still end up with the same message. i have the latest updated version of elements but no raw plugin in the plugin list and when i press update it says version is the latest. i have tried to manually download the plugins with no luck. i am running windows vista, please help as the software is no use if i cant open the raw files.

Try again. The read-me instructions are not very clear. After you extract files from the zip folder double click on the patch installer application and allow access if prompted.
The Adobe Application Manager should open automatically and complete the installation.

Sorry for the late reply. My email firewall has become a little over zealous & sent a lot of my emails straight to my junk email folder, so I have only just now discovered your reply in my junk mail folder.
The only "don't open files exceeding xxx megabytes" instruction I can find in my Prefs, is in the Bridge Prefs for Thumbnails, & mine is set at 1000mb. The biggest files I handle are bigger than 200mb so I should be able to open a few, not just one.
However, this doesn't explain why I can open a psd format file of 180mb, close it, but then can't open a RAW format file of only 26mb immediately after.
I can open the RAW file only if I restart my computer - very annoying!
However, thanks for the advice about the video card & memory.
So, I'm still stuck as to what the issue is.

Mmh, if the program works okay, then it's probably one of those installer database blockages. Short of uninstalling everything, running the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and reinstalling from scratch, this is usually impossible to fix, but you might provide the install logs and perhaps we can find soem clue in there.

Error U44M2P24 when trying to install Camera Raw 6.7

I'm trying to install Camera Raw 6.7 in OS X Lion 10.7.3 and keep getting error message U44M2P24 stating that the installation failed. I've tried re-downloading the installer and trying again after a restart, but it still doesn't work.

Have you tried to download and install directly from Adobe, instead of using the Updater in PS?

Failure to install Camera Raw update

I tried to install Camera Raw 6.4.1 update for CS5 (doing so from within CS5) but it failed twice. The screen says to contact customer support which I did, but was told that they no longer support this version and I should go to the forums.
Can anyone help, PLEASE!!!

The relevant log file will have the name of this update applied to it.

When I try to install camera raw 7.2 to my Photoshop CS6, I get the error: There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D207

Not sure what you mean. Simply run Help --> Check for Updates or download the latest version of ACR here from the site and install it.

I have Photoshop CS5 and installed Camera Raw 6.4.1 Plug-in in error, as it will not work with Nikon D7000. I have tried to install Camera Raw 6.3
and CS5 will not take it and I get the error message u44m2l218. Does anyone know how I can remove 6.4.1 plug-in and get 6.3 installed.

However, this is the first I've heard that Camera Raw 6.4.1 wouldn't work with a D7000... Can you please try to be more specific about what error you're seeing?
I have a suspicion that perhaps you really haven't upgraded Camera Raw properly, as versions from 6.3 onward are supposed to be able to handle D7000 images.

Camera raw 8.7.0.309 update. Now Photoshop cc, cs6, Bridge cc will not open raw anymore

Did the update for camera raw 11-26-2014, Now as stated in headline. Only the Lightroom update is working. Photoshop goes threw the motions, little cycle. then just sets there. Nothing loads, the cycle goes away. and nothing. Bridge just freezes, Photoshop cs6 Nothing.
At first the update did not work on bridge or Photoshop cc. got a error. had to do a work around to get it to install from cloud by renamimg a folder 1.0 and letting cloud re-create it. then the update worked.
But tried the camera raw right after the first update with error.
that's when Raw stopped working. But even after a successful update. It still don't work.
Note: before tempting this update. It all worked. now the only raw editor working is lightroom 5.7 Raw 8.7.
Yes rebooted, yes researched and found nothing.

I tested:
c:\in\v -folder is the one that jpg is read
c:\in\vlc is folder that the camera raw saves jpg
original file name was:
HIETALAHTI, TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAISEN SEURAKUNNAN PÄIVÄKERHO_cpy004_5000_02.jpg
it is truncated into:
HIETALAHTI, TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAISEN SEURAKUNNAN P.jpg
I shortened the original file name and removed the scandinavian A with dots on top of it and the comma from ther file name:
HIETALAHTI TENAVAMUSK_VAASAN SUOMAL SRK PAIVAKERHO_cpy004_5000_02.jpg
truncates to:
HIETALAHTI TENAVAMUSK_VAASAN SUOMAL SRK PAIVAKERHO_cpy004_5.jpg
the scandinavian alphabet is not a problem (the file names are not always clipped in their position).but causes some extra truncating:
HIETALAHTI-TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAINEN PÄIVÄKERHO_CPY00.jpg turns into:
HIETALAHTI-TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAINEN PÄIVÄKERHO_CP.jpg
and
HIETALAHTI-TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAINEN PÄIVÄKERHO_CPY0.jpg into same
HIETALAHTI-TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAINEN PÄIVÄKERHO_CP.jpg
This is why I havent found a good rule in this.
In camera raw the whole file name shows under the preview image but in saving the image the file naming example is truncated.
Even the longest of our file names worked flawlessly for several years until maybe two weeks ago.
60 characters is top length that did not truncate in this testing

Can't install Camera RAW 6.3 into Elements 9

I have downloaded the installer for 6.3 but when I go to install it, I get this message. "Some updates failed to install." When it tells me to fix the problems below, all it says is: installation failed!
I need this update in order to open RAW images from my Canon Powershot S95.
I am working with Elements 9 on both an iMac running OS 10.6.8 and onto a new MacBook Pro.
I have spent an hour reading everything I can and haven't been able to find any place to send this question to Adobe by email. The phone system for help has more than a half-hour of wait time.
Can someone figure out this problem?

Thank you. I couldn't find the Mac update section at the Adobe site by
using the various search options.
But,
The new download 6.5 installed without trouble. However, the "open with"
command still prompted Elements to respond with an "Unrecognized file type"
error, even though Elements was not listed as the default application.
Trying to open a nef file within Actrobat still showed the nef files grayed
out as unopenable with the application.
I tried to do the manual copying of the camera raw.plugin from the Assets 2
folder as you suggested. H owever it does not appear to be used in the
newer version (6.5). Instead, there is a Profiles directory containing two
further directories: CameraProfiles and LensProfiles.
The CameraProfiles folder contains a series of further folders for various
camera types, and each folder had a number of .dcp files. I can't find a
"camera raw.plugin" anywhere within Assets 2.
So, in sum:
1) The disk image Elements9CameraRaw-6.5-mul-AdobeUpdate downloaded from
Adobe installs correctly.
2) The default program type for .nef files was changed to Elements
3) Elements will not open a .nef file either from "open with" or within the
application selecting open from the menu.
Hoping you can help me work around this problem.

If you have Photoshop CS6 or higher, you already have Adobe Camera Raw 8. What you want is to update ACR to version 8.6. You can do that automatically through the Help > Updates menu item.
If you have a lower version of Photoshop, you cannot run any version of ACR 8.x.
If you don't have Photoshop at all, then you need to buy it first.
