Installing JSDK 1.4.1_02 on win 98

I'm new to Java and new to programming. To date downloaded Java from CD from course tutor and set path in autoexec.bat file according to instructions. Get meesage in DOS 'Bad Command.... when compiling the Hello progr.Any suggestions

The autoexec.bat needs to have a "set path = ..." statement that includes the path to the javac.exe file in the bin directory. Normally, the path will be c:\j2sdk1.4.1_02\bin but you may have installed it differently. Also, you need to reboot after making changes to autoexec.bat. You can try using the full path to javac as well "c:\j2sdk1.4.1_02\bin\javac SourceCode.java"

I am used to visiting my online email facility at University which contains an Applet to allow users to reply to, compose, delete messages, etc but since installing JSDK 1.4 I am now longer able to view the Applet - I am presented with the Java icon (coffee cup) and the following code in the Java console. Previous to JSDK I had installed no version of Java on this machine but I have had previous versions installed on other machines which caused no problems at all. Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi,
I'm attempting to install SQL2014 on a SurfacePro3 running Win 8.1. Despite much searching I've not found anything that gets me past this problem.
I've tried:
Uninstalling a update KB2918614 which was highlighted as a potential issue
The login is the only account on the machine (not networked)
Used "Run as Administrator"
Even tried setting up a new User Account not linked to MS
Run from the SETUP.EXE in the extracted files (with "Run As Admin")

Forget about all the versions you already have (5.0 through to CS2). They will no longer work and the serial numbers are redundant.
Download the non-activation version of CS2 form the link provided by kglad and use the new non-activation serial number provided at that link. Your existing serial number(s) will no longer work.
Note: there is no guarantee that CS2 will run well on Win 8.1. Try it and see.

Is it possible to install Oracle SQL* Net 2.3(16 bit) Client on Windows 2003 server. If it is then could someone give me links from where I could get more information on this (like the steps to install 16 bit Oracle client on Win 2003).

I have never tried to use 16-bit SQLNet client on Windows 2003 x86. I'm pretty sure that this combination will not be supported by Oracle , athough it could work.
As far as I remember the 2.3 client was shipped with the Oracle 7.3.

Making two small hard drives into one big partition, so i can install jsdk

I want to install jsdk but my hard drive isnt big enough. I connected a second hard drive to the same cable as my 1st hard drive, i want to make one partition. Is that possible? How can i do it so to harddrives look like one hard drive when i open "My Computer" I have fdisk, but what do i choose to partition it correctly?

i explain what i know but if i am wrong maybe some others will correct me:
From what i know, there is no way to auto fill the second when the first is filled. BTW the first will not be filled because if it does, there wont be enough space to run your other program.
Master and slave is like a primary harddisk and a secondary hardisk
Master is where your OS resites and is commoly known as C drive whileas secondary can be your D, E , F( i am refering to harddisk not your CD-Rom or floppy drive)
Logic partitioning is where u separate your one hard disk into several parts... Like u can separate your C into several shelves to store things. No conflict will arise if same filename is found in the C drive.
Extended is where u separate the separated portions of the hard disk... like separating one shelf into two: one to keep your books and the other to keep your pencil etc.

When installing itunes 10.5.1 for win 7 64 bit get message that installer is 32 bit.

Atempted to install itunes 10.5.1 for Win 7 64 bit. Receive dialog box that the installer is 32 bit. Points me to an address in Apple for Bonjour Print Services for Windows. After clickin on OK the install proceeds but Itunes will not start.
Itunes has also reformated the library so an older version of itunes can nolonger read the file.

I got the same message about the network resource that I can't access. The only difference is that I couldn't install Itunes 10.3 because I can't remove the old version of Bonjour. I couldn't get rid of anything in add/remove programs, but I went into my program folders and deleted everything that had to do with Itunes. I also ran a Windows Cleanup Utiltiy. Nothing will work. I still can't remove Itunes, Bonjour, Quicktime, MobileMe Control Panel, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Application Support, or Apple Software Update in add/remove programs because they are on a network resource that I can't access even though I deleted them from the program folders. This is very frustrating!

Just installed J2SE 1.3.1_02, want Java Swing

I installed version 1.3.1_02 SE and tried a simple application using Swing extentions. Received compiler errors for Swing classes. Something like can't resolve JLabel, JFrame, etc. Also, I can't find swing.jar on my system. Can someone help me resolve this?

He is trying to get the archive with the JavaDocs, they were removed from the site.
Try downloading and using the javadocs from the JDK 1.4 instead (and get a lot of compilation errors when using new APIs - check the @since tags in the javadoc... )
Another alternative is:
Unzip the 1.3 sources (they are in src.zip) and use the javadoc tool (preferably from the 1.4 version, because the javadoc tool from the 1.3 can not recursively get the packages - you will have to specify the packages yourself if using the javadoc tool from 1.3) to regenerate the HTML files. (You will need a machine with 512MB of memory or more, and some CPU hours.) The src.zip has not the package.html files, so the generated javadocs will not be exactly equal to the original javadoc files.
I believe that some IDEs like Oracle jDeveloper 9 have the javadocs from 1.3. Maybe someone has archived the javadocs from 1.3.
