Installing RCU for ODI

Hi
Iam creating repositories using RCU.bat.
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/core.1111/e16453/install.htm#CHDFIECA
at" Figure 2-2 Repository Creation Utility Custom Variables Screen" step
I have provided the supervisor password as ODI12345 and also same for work repository also ..and installed it successfully
But while configuring ODI and doing "configure repositories" step .. i mentioned SUPERVISOR details as
odi user name: SUPERVISOR(default)
odi password : ODI12345 (as above)
but getting error as invalid credentials where am doing wrong please help me
Many thanks

Hi
Since if you gave work repository password as ODI12345, then re-ran RCU and drop the ODI table (DEV_ODI_REPO table) and re-create ODI repository with password SUNOPSIS using RCU
that time you won't get any error because SUNOPSIS is a standard password for user SUPERVISOR

    Hi,
I just had this messages yesterday during my install.
You have to update those 2 files:
    <RCU Home>\rcu\integration\ipm\sql\createtables_ipm_sqlserver.sql
    <RCU Home>\rcu\integration\ipm\sql\createuser_ipm_sqlserver.sql
The first 2 lines begin with "Rem ..." which is not correct for SQL Server : I added "--" and it worked.

  • RCU for ODI 12

    Dear Experts
What should be the RCU for the ODI 12?
    Thank You.

You can try using RCU which comes with ODI 11.1.1.7 & it should work for ODI 12c.
Alternatively, you can create Master & Work repositories using ODI Studio as well. (After ODI 12c installation)
Let me know which works for you.

  • Web services as a sources for ODI

    Hi All,
I am facing a problem related to ODI. I want to use web service as source for ODI.
Basically I have build one simple web service which gives system date through Jdeveloper and with OC4J connection. Now I want to use this web service as a source and want to insert this system date (which I will get through this web service) in oracle database. Could you please guide me.
I tell you what I did till now.
    1. Developed simple web service through Jdeveloper.
    2. Deploy it using OCJ4 connection using Jdeveloper only.
I did some research and came to know about axis2. I installed it but not able to start it properly. As per best of my knowledge we have to use axis2 as web service container and we can take OC4J or Tomcat.
So I want to know how can I install (configure) Axis2 properly and can use my webservice developed through Jdeveloper as a source of ODI.
I gone through documentation of ODI but as I am completely new for JAVA I can not figure it out properly.
Request you to explain each step thoroughly as I am new to Java.
    Thanks and Regards
    -Pallav

The below link gives detailed information about installing axis2. I used this for installing axis2 on my oracle app server.

  • Generating Trace file for ODI Sessions

    ODI Gurus
am new to ODI, for one of our integration project am using ODI for transforming data from Source to Target Instance.
Oracle Database is installed on both Source and Target instances. Is there a way to generate Database Trace files for ODI sessions triggered.
If yes can you provide the steps to enable/disable database trace for ODI sessions.
    Regards
    Uma Shankar

    Hi Uma Shankar,
    My assumptions:
1.) You want to selectively enable Oracle tracing when only the ODI scenarios are executed and not otherwise.
If that is the case then you will have to add some external steps comprising of OS commands and variables that will control if those steps are to be executed or not. These steps will invoke the OS commands to start Oracle tracing.
2.) You know the steps to create a package and know how to use Interfaces and other ODI utilities in the flow of the package.
3.) You know how to create and execute scenarios
    Steps to Selectively enable tracing.
1.) Add a variable named V_START_TRACE to the package. This variable will be passed a value from scenario which will determine if you want to enable to trace or not. This variable type is EVALUATE and can have 2 values - TRUE or FALSE. You will have to check for the condition and depending on the condition you will take a path forward.
    2.) Add 2 OS commands to the package - OS_START_TRACE and OS_END_TRACE
3.) Create 2 shell scripts (or bat files) - odi_start_trace.sh and odi_end_trace.sh with the following commands:
    odi_start_trace.sh :-
    sqlplus session - ALTER SYSTEM SET trace_enabled = TRUE;
    odi_end_trace.sh :-
    sqlplus session - ALTER SYSTEM SET trace_enabled = FALSE;
You need to invoke SQLPLUS sessions from the above shell scripts to enable/disable the oracle level tracing.
4.) Add the above shell scripts to the OS commands created in Step 2.
5.) Join the steps in the following order in the package :
    V_START_TRACE (OK) ->OS_START_TRACE (OK) -> <<+Your Actual Integration Code+>>(OK) -> OS_END_TRACE
    V_START_TRACE (KO) -> <<+Your Actual Integration Code+>>(OK)
The above KO variable statement doesnt start the trace if the evaluated value doesnt = TRUE. So this will let you do a selective trace.
6.) Create the scenario from the package and execute the scenario by passing it a value "TRUE" for variable V_START_TRACE.
Check the startscen.sh syntax, something like:
    *>startscen.sh ... "GLOBAL.V_START_TRACE=TRUE"*
The above is a general solution for enabling trace for any RDBMS
If you need any more information, feel free to ping back.

After installing the Weblogic 12.1.1.0 , I came to the configure wizard which run from
    C:\oracle\product\11.1.1\Oracle_ODI_1\common\bin\config.cmd
    then the wizard screen appears
but the component of my installation only has
Basic Weblogic Server Domain - 12.1.1.0
Basic Weblogic SIP Server Domain - 12.1.1.0
WebLogic Advanced Web Services for JAX-RPC Extension - 12.1.1.0
WebLogic Advanced Web Services for JAX-WS Extension - 12.1.1.0
In the document has much more option
    such as
oracle enterprise manager plugin for ODI
    oracle enterprise manager
oracle data integrator - SDK Web Services
    Oraclce Data Integrator - Console
Am I missing something at the installation .
because i already checked all the component for Web Logic and ODI
    Thanks in advance.

  • Installing rcu 11.1.1.7, need to modify ldapxact.sql

    Hi,
Installing RCU 11.1.1.7 into 11g I am blessed with "User or role ODS doesn't exist".
Then I found a post some place that says i need to modify this piece of original Oracle software
    DROP USER ods CASCADE;
CREATE USER ods IDENTIFIED BY ods
    in the file ldapxact.sql
Did I miss some step along the lines (I hope I did miss something) or this "feature" may surface in other places as well?
    Please advise
    Thank you

sorry for the blast, problem resolved, was a wrong version
    Thank you

  • Installing RCU 11.1.1.6 Getting error Unknown Master and Work Repository

    Hi All,
While installing RCU 11.1.1.6 I am getting error "unknown Master and Work Repository"
could any one please tell me the solution for this

make sure you have selected right option under 'select component'.
    If you want only OIM.
click on (+) sign of Identity Management and then tick the Oracle Identity Manager option.

  • RCU for SOA Suite in HP-UNIX Itanium version

    Hi,
I am trying to install SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.7) in HP-UNIX Itanium version. As per OTN, I have downloaded the RCU for Linux x86 -64bit .But while I am trying to execute that RCU it is throwing error "Platform is not Supported" i.e. attached as screenshot. Can anyone tell me what is the correct RCU for HP-UNIX Itanium version or I need to do any config change in UNIX box?

Ideally you should be able to set up the 64-bit generic installer not sure of the reason...
Please use the correct version of 64 bit jdk and check the logs
You can check out the weblogic admin server logs
    BEA_HOME\user_projects\domains\your_domain\servers\AdminServer\logs

  • RCU for solaris 10

    Hi,
Please let me know the url to download rcu for solaris10.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

    Hi,
I don't see it listed here for download
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/data-integrator/downloads/index.html
How about installing it on your Windows or Linux machine, and from there you can connect to any database running on any platform, for repositories creation?

  • Cannot create domain for ODI

    Hi,
I am trying to create a domain for ODI console and am trying to follow the instructions in the below post:
    http://odiexperts.com/tag/oracle-data-integrator-11g
However, when I start the WLS config wizard the second screen does not come up with the option for ODI, etc.
Can someone guide me what I should be doing to see the options?
I only see two options apart from the base, for Select Domain Source, namely, Weblogic Advanced Web services for JAX-RPC Ext and for JAX-WS.
Does it have anything to do with where the Middleware Home has been installed? Because my Middleware home is located on D:\Oracle\Middleware and ODI is installed on
    D:\app\oracle\product\11.1.1\Oracle_ODI_1
I am fairly new to Oracle/ODI and absolutely a novice in terms of WLS.
    Any/all help is highly appreciated.
    Manish

    Thanks Dev.
I reinstalled ODI in the middleware home and now I was able to see all the options.
I then faced another issue when creating the domain:
    Domain Location: D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain
    Reason: null
    Exception:
    Traceback (innermost last):
    File "<iostream>", line 17, in ?
TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'NoneType' and 'str'
And then I saw another post and then started the domain creation from the below location and was successful in creating the domain.
    D:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_ODI1\common\bin\config.cmd
Thanks to all the knowledge sharers.
I am letting this know so that others can also benefit and get on.

  • Newbie - do you install repository for the metadata with the weblogic?

    Hi,
I installed the weblogic 10.3.2 and didn't come at the point where I install/configure a db repository for the medadata?
Could someone clarify this metadata repository piece for me please? Is it required?
    Thank you
    Anatoliy

Yes, by default Weblogic Server DO NOT need any RCU (Repository creation utility) to download or install. On WLS you can deploy any J2EE applications developed with Eclipse IDE or JDeveloper. If you want to use any Fusion middleware components and develop Fusion applications then you need this RCU installed and configured. Some components of Fusion are like SOA, WebCenter, IdentityManagement, SingleSignOn, WebCenter Portlets etc
    1. If you use FusionMiddleware or SOA Suite, it is required to install RCU.
    2. RCU is nothing but database scripts to create tables ets to store information for SOA/BPEL stuff.

  • How do I save an install file for Photoshop CS6

I need to get an install file for Photoshop CS6 (not CR) that I can use on a Windows PC that, due to security reasons, does
not have access to the internet.  In the past I have been able to save the install file for Photoshop and/or Lightroom on my internet connected PC and then move it to the the target PC on a thumb drive or CD.  But now with the CC and the new "Adobe Installer" I can't seem to see how to capture the install file.
Please let me know how to do this.
